@Madwife2009 -- I have to share with you that we're going to be in Yorkshire for three weeks this summer (we're from the U.S.), and I've already printed out my parkrun barcode. You've sold me on it.
@__TMac__ - really? ME? Wow. You'll have fun, I love Parkruns. You'll love Yorkshire as well, it's a really beautiful place.
Confession time: I have become a total running addict.
I know that I'm an addict as my first thought each morning is about when I'll get my cycle ride and run in that day.
I run in the rain. I run in the sun. I run in the dark. I get up early to run. And I have dreams about running as well (not sure that's healthy though). Love, love, love to run. Almost as much as I love cycling (but not quite).
Cycling will always be my first love.28 -
A week and a half of vacation (lots of eating, drinking, and generally being off my “normal “) = up 4lbs and feeling bloated and icky. NSV is that every day but 2 (driving heavy days) I hit my steps and even got in two 5ks in a super hilly area (the only hills by me are freeway overpasses, so that was fun).
Second NSV is that I got back to my regular eating and workouts right away (and even upped my weights on leg day!), so hopefully I’ll be back at my normal weight soon.24 -
Had to adjust the rearview mirror. Dont have as much cushioning under me as I used to I guess19

@Madwife2009 You also inspired me to take up running. While on a recent visit to Ohio I found they have a park run too! Registered before leaving home and completed a USA park run.14

A few times, I went to plays/musicals and wound up with bruises on my hips from the seats.
I've been at an average size for roughly 6 years now, and I don't even think about this stuff usually...I just go all the places and fit into all of the chairs/seats, and it's great. But last night I was at a 100 year old theater watching a concert and it occurred to me that I fit perfectly in my seat. At one point I got up to use the restroom before the theater was full and found it more convenient to just climb over the empty seat in front of me and go out that aisle. I do have long legs, but years ago there is no way I could have done that, and I would have just "held it" or been all red-faced apologizing to the people in my own aisle.
Stuff like that makes me really happy.
awesome!

My male coworker asked me for advice on his squat form. He just started squatting with the barbell.23

I fit into my old wedding dress on my 10 year anniversary!39

I've been snugging the belt I wear daily down, and down again since January. Yesterday I went to use it, only to find I'd run out of holes. I either need a leather punch or a new belt! (Also in dire need of new pants - LOL).24

You're too kind Bruda!
Been a 5yr journey for me, down from over 333lbs
Once in a while I get lucky with a good angle and some lighting, this was one of those once in a whiles lol
@Mr_Healthy_Habits There's time for me. I've been at this for 2 1/4 years. One year ago I resolved to lift, and typical of me and my slow decision process I've not done jack about it. I let myself vacillate between spending large bucks for high quality gear and low bucks for cheap gear. I finally decided for cheap gear. I'm not going to be lifting enough to expose the cheapness of the gear any time soon.
The NSV I was going to log previously is as follows. I do the grocery shopping. When I was a young obese teen my indulgent mother would frequently purchase Betty Crocker Pound Cake mix. Just as frequently, I'd bake it and eat it in a day or so. I do like it, and it is easy. Anyway, in the present time I walk down the aisle of baking supplies to check on availability of things I regularly consume, and have been eyeing the pound cake mix for several months. I was afraid of it. I was afraid of it turning into a binge. I knew it had no protein and protein in all my meals and snacks is a priority. Even my fake ice cream has protein. I bought a box of it several weeks ago. For 2 or 3 weeks that box sat in my kitchen while I waited to dare myself to bake it. Finally last week, I did bake it.
My NSV was that on that day I logged the last piece of it after logging each day accurately and honestly and within my calorie budget. Seeing your picture just reminded me what a piss poor job of this I've been doing. Eating cake when I should have been picking up stuff. The shame.31 -

Pick up stuff while you eat cake! Do both! Have both! Everybody wins!17 -
My office is right across from the breakroom. I was able to pass by all of this deliciousness without one...single...bite!!!! Victory!42 -
Hit my goal of 20,000 steps

Logged every bite every single day for 122 days so far! The good, the bad and the ugly; pleased to say that there have only been two or three ugly days in there, and (1) they really weren’t that ugly in retrospect, and (2) I didn’t let those days derail me.36

Wore thin nude tights today. Size range marked as 44-52 EU. Fit like a dream, no issue getting them on or wearing them. When I started I wore size 54 trousers, and last year when I wore this dress I didn’t even try for tights because there was no chance.26

Medium tops today! I was shocked. Had been XL, assumed I could maybe fit into an L now, but they were too big.
29 -
Did MS Walk today 8,600 steps before noon!24

I completed my workout Friday completing my 5-day a week for 4 weeks straight and I am down 7lbs. woohoo!!!!22

I started dieting at the beginning of March.
At work every quarter we have a division meeting, they have these chairs, every time I sat in them I would have to squeeze in. Last quarter, It was embarrassing I'd have to wait for everyone to leave to get out of that chair. Thursday we had our quarterly meeting and the chair did not even touch my hips!59 -
One of my friends called me an inspiration.
It’s one of the nicest things that anyone has ever said to me.28 -
Less than a month ago, I had to buy new jeans. Two sizes smaller than my last pair! And they’re already baggy!!! Tbh, the scale just has not been moving, but hubby and I started working out at the gym on 2-12-18 and I’ve lost 14.25”. Non Scale Victory indeed!!!29

I have been struggling with being sick off and on since January (teacher life). I'm finally feeling better and went to the gym for the first time in awhile. I jogged for 10 minutes without stopping. I have struggled with a mental block for the longest time and have not been able to jog longer than 5 minutes without stopping. Planning on continuing this and setting my sight on a 5k by the end of the year.28

Hi, I'm happily married. But just wanted to say I adore the vein that runs down the bicep!

I realised yesterday that I have moved past the “have you lost weight?” stage to the “wow, you’re looking great!” stage. There’s no longer any doubt to those around me that my body has changed and the comments are even coming from people who don’t know I’m trying. Happy days!

If I flex my stomach muscles, I can actually feel them. Not much longer to go before I start building muscle instead of losing fat.21

My husband was just watching an old performance of our band on YouTube and said, “That IS you! I had to look really close to be sure. You were a TMac-and-a-half back then!” I was actually a TMac-and-a-third (65lbs lost), but close enough.14

My NSV for today; I fought the urge after a busy and stressful day at work today, not to pig out on a ton of food and stayed within my calorie goals for the day. It was REALLY HARD...18
-
I lost my second child baby weight! I went from 230 to 193!38
-
I managed to drink 64+ oz of water every day for the last 30 days. That's the first time in my entire life. I'm in my 40s. Now to work on getting in more than the bare minimum!16

My jeans are becoming more comfortable instead of so tight I worry about the button popping when i sit down!
