Grabbed a slice!! The old me would have eaten almost a pizza to myself.
I also work at a place that always has snacks or junk brought in. I have been able to keep from eating any because it does not fit into my eating plan for the day. It gets tough sometimes but it is also eye opening to me realizing how much more i did eat with just the food brought into work.19 -
I had a favourite t-shirt that had become almost skintight and unflattering, and now it hangs loose again, even though the scale hasn't budged too much.22

I have started to believe my friends when they told me to wear smaller clothes because they are more flattering. They always feel so tight! But these friends assure me they look great. I have been hiding in bigger, looser clothing for years so I am really self conscious of my lumps and bumps. So this week I stepped out of my comfort zone and wore smaller tops. I have never had so many compliments. ☺41

Today is my six month anniversary of being a healthy BMI. I'm still very slowly trending downwards, trying to lose those vanity pounds, but basically I've been eating the way I intend to eat for the rest of my life. And it's cool. Even though I have been unable to run or do heavy leg exercises for two months, I am still maintaining. I feel like I should knock on wood saying this, but this isn't hard - I feel happy with the amount of food I'm allowed to eat to meet my maintenance goals. Hoping to continue in the future!42

Last night at dinner I had enough calories for seconds. I piled pork and potatoes onto my plate, weighed it and logged it. But halfway through, I realized - I don’t want this anymore, I’m full. And I put it back rather than force it down. This was HUGE for me, as I’ve eaten to the point of discomfort for most of my life and usually have a really hard time knowing when I’ve had enough. Is mindful eating finally starting to work??48

I bought a pair of regular Levi 501 jeans. I didn’t need to get relaxed fit or loose in the thigh - just regular jeans. It’s the little things that make you happy.39

Preparing for my 5th trip to Bonaire and tried on my swim trunks from last year and they are to big. had to go buy new ones.20

I’ve been back in the gym pretty consistently the last two weeks, and today I made it to my favorite 8.15am Saturday class23

I completed a health-charity 5K today in memory of my mother, a week befor Mother’s Day.35

I cleaned out my closet. I got rid of clothes that don't fit anymore, clothes that never fit but they were "nice" so of course I had to keep them, and clothes that were worn out/stained/damaged but I'd once loved them and I didn't want to get rid of them!
I have about half as much clothing left. I might buy 2-3 carefully considered items that fill an need, but that's it. It's nice that I can actually see everything in the closet; this will make it easier to get dressed in the morning.
Also, when did I get an entire drawer of exercise clothes? And why is it almost too full?28 -
My NSV: Not freaking out that I gained 4 pounds in 1 week and trusting the process of CI/CO
Backstory: So this week at my job we had multiple conferences and retreats. I ate probably up to 2000 calories on some days( 500-600 more than my target). I treated this week as if I was on vacation. I also walked on averaged 18,000 steps daily this week. One day I walked 24,000 steps because of all the events. This week was also my ovulation week and I’m dealing with those symptoms and weird cravings. So yeah, the perfect storm. I ate more than usual. All that walking caused my foot to swell plus the change in my intake. I stepped on the scale by the end of the week I was up 4lb. I didn’t eat 4 x 3500 calories in 1 week. If this happened 6 months ago, I would’ve been freaking out. But with the increase awareness about CI/CO , weight fluctuations, impact of hormonal changes for women, dietary changes, fitness changes, I’m not even worried at all. By end of next week I will be back to my normal weight. I’m actually happy all this happened this week, since my rate of loss has slowed down. I’m losing pounds every 4-6 weeks compared to weekly changes a year ago. I think my body needs a change in routine. I’m still losing inches but the scale is slow to catch-up.
Anyway, I’m still dealing with ovulation symptoms. I went to Old Navy and purchased my first denim shorts since I started this weight loss journey. It was in a size 8 compared to size 12 when I started and it looked great on me! It was on sale and I purchased 2 of them. I already booked my summer birthday beach vacation. I’m looking forward to wearing them29 -
I love reading all of these, today I went clothes shopping & bought new clothes, as opposed to used temporary clothes. It felt so great to buy size M tops instead of XL & size 12 pants instead of 18/20!!19

While at Ikea, I comically sat in a child’s chair without destroying it. It was the POÄNG for the curious.22

Usually I need a seat beat extender when I fly, and have for about the last decade. I took four flights recently, and on the last flight, I didn’t need one! I know it was a newer plane, and probably had longer seat belts, but it still felt good.22

1) Today is my 1,000th day of MFP
2) I have logged every morsel of food consumed for the last seven days. Including ice creams. I had lost my way a little on this so it's wonderful to be able admit to this
3) I have worn out yet another set of brake pads on my bike. And my saddle is looking decidedly worse for wear. And I need to order new tyres. Perhaps I should just get a new bike . . . but my old bike is so comfortable. We've travelled a long way together over the last 18 months at every speed between 0mph and 51.6mph . . . nah, I'll just get the spares for now. Anyway, got a house to pay for now (after a looooong time trying to find a new home) so need to keep a bit of an eye on the bank balance. Guess a new bike isn't an option right now37 -
Stood on the podium again today!

Fitted into my too small jeans! Of course I wore them to the cheesecake factory, so they might not fit so well tomorrow! However, I purposely went to the gym before I went, to help negate the calories23

TMI! I looked down and saw my lady part in the tub tonight!!!29

Had my first negatively toned "WHY" did you lose the weight? Was so happy to point out all the health benefits I have reaped plus that I no longer have pain in my knees, hips and feet!22
-
I do have pain in my knees, hips and feet, but that’s because I went on a six mile hike in the hilly Welsh countryside yesterday
The NSV? It was only meant to be a four mile hike, but I felt so good at the halfway point that I decided to descend along the ‘wrong’ ridge and cross the valley lower down. Because clearly I needed more uphills in my life.
The bonus NSV: Setting yesterday aside to hike and recover was my reward for getting all my statistical analysis done on Saturday. Two years ago, it would have been the other way around

Update
As of this morning I already lost 3 out of the 4 pounds I gained last week. I assumed it will take a week but I guess my body was ready to get rid of all that water weight asap. I had a big “swoosh” - peeing like crazy.

I ran 10 Kilometers this weekend (5k each day). Me! I am the fittest I've been in my entire life.
I bought a size large in running crops and they are too big to stay up when I run.23
