@tdunnegan I LOVE my Fitbit! I love tracking my steps and workouts (when I do random ones). My only issue with using my puppy in my workouts is he is a lazy 12 week old Saint Bernard, I took him on a 20 minute walk the other day and he acted like I was killing him lol0

@Birder165 Sorry to hear you had a tough week. I have my ups and downs too. Try not to be so hard on yourself. Take it easy. We all have rough days.0

It's nice to see a loss this morning since yesterday I was weighing at 298.7 at the doctor's office. That was after breakfast though. I had a check up since my BP was very high 2 months ago, 140/90. Yesterday It was 118/90. So my 2nd number is still high, but he was very pleased with my first number.
I got a fitbit this past week. I think it overestimates my calories, so I don't let myself eat back any of those. One day It said my calorie expenditure was almost 3000! I know I had worked hard in the garden that day, but let's be serious! I'm going to stick with my 1500 to 1800 range as best as possible. I'm not perfect, but more days in goal than out!
I did get my garden all set up. I had to build 2 garden bed fences to keep the bunnies out. One is all squashes (Zucchini, acorn, Jack O'lantern Pumpkin and sugar pie pumpkin), and the other is chard, spinach, herbs, and in the fall, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and maaaybe Brussels sprouts. I think I am also going to plant some beets in there. I have a cucumber to go...somewhere. I'll find space. And my tomatoes and peppers are going in buckets when they get a little bigger.1 -

Thank you. That's a very respectful thing to do.2 -
I am feeling that familiar dip in motivation, like this is too hard, or why bother. I have a good, concrete "why" to keep pushing my forward. But I'm also feeling jealousy. I see others losing more faster than i am. Logically, i know they are using different tools than i am, like my friends that have had surgery. But i feel like its happening too slow. I just needed to vent, refocus, and remember that i didn't gain it overnight, it won't come off overnight4

It might seem like just a little thing but I found that when I filled out my profile, it made me look at my weight loss journey honestly. It made me think about why I am at this place and then vocalize what I am going to do about it.
Several long-timers keep them updated and some are just super creative and inspiring.
Others are sooo easy to relate to.
Really isolating your personal weight loss and gain journey and taking time to analyse where you were/are mentally, physically and/or spiritually and then telling a story about it can kickstart motivation!
Be sure to copy the profile often while developing it or write it in WordDoc first so you don’t spend an hour getting it just right and the app glitches and erases it all! Lol

@moodybear2003 It's good to talk about these things. I have been stuck before and I have gained weight back after I lost it. What I'm doing now is to try and track everything that goes in my mouth. I try to drink 8-12 glasses of water everyday. I do regular cardio exercise at a slow but steady pace. I I have cut my sodium to reccomeneded levels. I try to limit my sugar. I don't eat put as much anymore. I hope this helps.

@Teerai I never filled out my profile, I guess it was just laziness, or the idea no one would read it anyway. Other than just my health, I really want to lose weight before starting a family to maximize my chances of a healthy pregnancy and baby. It's more motivating than anything else right now. But I will put together a profile!!
@Silhouette_man - I usually get stuck about this time, and give up, but I am tracking everything. I was trying to do weights and cardio 4 times a week and got off track. Time to refocus, and I've already gone twice this week!
Jealousy is just such a weird, stupid thing. I need to stop comparing myself to everyone else's journeys.2 -
Sorry im a bit late But I have filled it out for so far!

Respectfully, I would say the weight gain is maybe a combination of possibly gaining muscle and mis-stepping on diet. Although your calories are in deficit, your white bread first thing in the morning and continuing all day is kicking in a large insulin response which is the hormone of not only breaking down sugars but also storing fat.
Maybe replace morning bread with protein and/or veg/fruit for a 300-400cal breakfast for a week solid and see if the change helps. I keep cherry tomatoes on counter and really enjoy a couple of them to start my day now and it seems to help suppress appetite naturally.1 -
