my mother informed me that the size large dress i had on yesterday was too big. I have never bought anything in a medium!28

After the April of badness, I tried adding in more cardio to nudge the scale down a bit. Two weeks of that plus really dialing in my eating led to...sciatic nerve and hip pain from running, a dog bite, and a gain of two pounds. So generally feeling down, went shopping for another pair of shorts and all of the shorts I tried on in my regular pants size fit just fine at Target. Yay!
I also decided f the extra cardio, I don’t like it, so I added in some kettlebell HIIT workouts and some extra lifting. One week of that and I hit 3x145 on squats after being stuck at 135 for forever, and can now do some harder abs moves that always looked impossible with ease! Figure I’ll just focus on getting stronger and as long as I don’t get too big for my pants I’m good.25 -
After not running for the entire winter due to an injury, I'm feeling like the last two months of hard training is finally paying off: a 6:45 first mile in the 5K (and then the course went unmarked and we all did an extra 1/2 mile, so I have no sense of the other miles), and a ton of energy this week in preparation for a 25K on Sunday!20

Been seriously under the weather for over a week so I dug deep last night and headed out the door for a walk...ended up jogging most of the way with some sprints in there....ended up at the gym....worked out for an hour and asked my husband to come pick me up. Had not intended any of it.. but it felt reallllllly life giving!31

After 6 months of upper Midwest US climate discouraging any outdoor bike riding I've been pretty steadily logging ~75miles a week on the stationary bike at the gym (60minute "cross country" program 3-5days a week) while watching Netflix transferred content. Spring has finally sprung here and family life supported me getting out for a bike ride on my 'mountain bike' (now a ~20yr old bike that is old and heavy by current market offerings) yesterday evening.
Aired up the flat tires on the bike and instead of driving my truck to the gym I drove about 2miles to local bike trail access parking lot and biked the miles to the gym in less than 20minutes so I rode past the gym another 5minutes and looped back. Did a quick high intensity, little rest between sets workout on biceps, forearms and some planks at the gym. Jumped back on the bike and was back to the lot with my truck in less than 20minutes so I pushed on past another 10minutes before looping back. Pulled some significant mileage at an elevated heart rate (mouth breathing) but I felt great! I never really stopped a high RPM pedal rate (kept it in the mid range gears) and felt like I could have easily kept going even further but it was getting dark.
I also loved the feeling that each rotation on the pedal crank truly "pulled" the bike, which I attribute to a combination of stronger leg muscles and 30+lb weight loss in the last 6months from all the stationary bike riding over the long cold winter.
So my NSV is the emotional high of getting back on to a real bike, feeling/experiencing the fruits of my 6+ months labor on the stationary bike at the gym. I personally committed to myself to more frequently use this "cross training" of real bike riding to the gym and feeling the sun/wind on my face and hopefully leaving the stationary bike only for those days where the weather makes actual bike riding too undesirable.
Today's NSV is keeping last week's commitment to myself ... have biked to the gym 4 out of the last 7 days and continue to thoroughly enjoy, averaging 14.4 miles in 60mins total elapsed time (on a relatively heavy 20yr old mountain bike) on varied terrain.15 -
I noticed my pants are looser today! They were "exhale and zip fast!" tight two weeks ago.33

I've been stagnating on my weight training and wasn't feeling especially strong that afternoon. Imagine my surprise when I took to it like a duckling takes to water - I guess all those hours on the weights and in yoga gave me the foundation of strength, balance, and control that you need to maneuver on a pole. At the end of the class, I climbed all the way up on my first try! I felt like a million bucks!
So jealous! I wish pole dancing classes were offered close to me, I always thought it would be fun to try!3 -

My weight is keeping climbing for 2 weeks now,but my waist was 1 cm smaller this morning. And a shirt which fitted very tight on the upper arms, yesterday i was not uncomfortable anymore. Maybe gaining some muscles from the hard training for cycling?15

I went out of province last weekend. The airplane seat was so much more comfortable compared to last Dec.! And I walked up the narrow aisle with room to spare.
Also I for the first time ever, bought some clothes at Costco (without even trying them on) and they fit! Even jeans. I have never been able to buy jeans by simply grabbing my size and holding against my body. I was so happy. I mean who gets happy buying clothes at Costco? Me, that's who!24 -
Pastaprincess you look amazing. Well done!4

Fit into size 36 shorts (down from the largest - 54) and my wife bought me size Large boxer briefs at Costco yesterday. Previously had always some multiple XL, XXL, XXXL my entire adult life. Recomp is seemingly going well. Getting stronger and appear to be gaining muscle mass.17

Went through my bin of summer clothes last weekend and decided to be brave and try on the swim shorts I emergency bought last year because we were going to a water park and none of my swimming stuff fit anymore, and now they are so big I am swimming in them! (pun totally intended :P)33

Grabbed a pair of pajamas at the store yesterday - size large. I put them back and grabbed the XL "just in case." I was able to talk myself out of it and took the large again and moved on. Tried them on last night and they fit perfectly! My brain still hasn't caught up with my body, but I'm getting there!30

Today, I conquered the dragonpants inner circle, the size above the dragonpants. They're still a bit tight, but they aren't the jaws of death -- Which means I'm probably only 15 or so pounds from the dragonpants.
A surprising NSV because I hadn't intended on trying on the pants. On a whim last night, I was like "hey lets see" and boy was I surprised. A little snug, but not "I can't button you without squeezing my intestines out like a tube of toothpaste" tight.
Once I conquer the dragonpants, I will be in uncharted territory. I will be in the unclaimed hills of "The Final March to Goal Mountain". I will be 25-30 pounds to a healthy goal I have yet to achieve. Hot diggity, I can't even believe it!
Quite possibly, there is an even bigger, badder dragonpants to vanquish yet waiting for me!27 -
My old sexy skinny jeans are not sexy anymore... because they are too loose.35
-
I upped my bench by 10lbs! Also upped my deadlift by 10 too. I’m doing a happy dance—I haven’t moved on bench in forever!25

I received clothes for my birthday in a smaller size. I assumed I would have to wait a few weeks before wearing them, but they fit!30

My NSV is actually getting back onto MFP.
Lots of work stress over the past year and as a result I had abandoned some of my good habits! No more. Back to it.
Love this thread. Thanks everyone.
