    or
    I like to 'set' mine in freezer to get a more 'ice cream' version (1+ hours)

    Would this still come out as good if i don't have Guar gum

    It’s best with xanthan gum added or guar forsure

    true - it's added to thicken but also helps with the 'icy' factor - creates a more creamy, ice cream-like consistency.

    Thanks for the heads up! I've never used anything but cashew milk or almond/cashew blend.

    You can buy Hartleys Sugar Free jelly on Amazon UK. Different flavours. A whole sachet is about 35 calories. I've got loads of the stuff. They used to do in Tesco, too, not sure if they still do.

    I think I've seen people make fluff with plain whey, but imo, it's best with whey/casein.

    Also, not all protein powders work well with it. I tried PES in it and it didn't fluff well at all. And that's a whey/casein blend. I was bummed, because that's their Frosted Chocolate Cupcake is one of the best chocolate protein powders out there.

    Quest always does really well for protein fluff and protein ice cream.

    Caveat: I have celiac disease and my selection of protein powders is limited because of it. A lot of them are manufactured on shared equipment. I don't have experience with a lot of different brands.

    Recommendation: Go for the protein ice cream. It's much better than protein fluff. It's really a lot like soft serve.

    I love Enlightened ice cream recently, but I am going to start making the protein ice cream since it's cheaper per serving & I still have a lot of protein powder/casein powder to go through.

I would fill the tray with full intention of saving half to take for my lunch the next day. Uh, no. I'd eat it all. But now I have met like minded people on here and I don't feel so bad about doing it lol

    Was posted before a few pages back heres a video . I think this is a new few times a week thing for me. So filling and super easy lol. Remember cartoned egg whites dont work, And i believe it has to be whey protein i went out and got it just for this :p Worth it

    I put a TON of onion powder on my salads and veggies, LOL. I find it really gives salads a great flavor and almost like a chip coating, (I mixed it up after this) when it mixes with and thickens the dressing. So good!

    If anyone is the in the market for a new blender:

    The nutribullet RX has been a godsend, it has "Souperblast Mode" which makes hot soup in seven minutes, my favorite so far is:
    Zucchini
    Onion
    Chicken Broth
    Seasoning

    Mix in 1 tablespoon of sour cream and blend for 30 more seconds

    Creamy soup at 68 calories a serving, I can eat the entire blender full for under 300 calories to go with my main meal if its not filling enough o:)
    We have the same one, love it

    here's now another q for you...what is the dressing you use/make?

    This particular time I used Trader Joe's balsamic (25 cal). But my favorites are walden farms honey dijon, skinny girl balsamic (10cal), and light italian (10-25cal). I typically stick to <30 calories per 2 tbsp dressings. I also add some type of hot sauce to the salad and a squirt of fresh lemon. :smile:

    Then I add onion powder, garlic powder, no salt salt, italian seasoning, and a pinch of sweetener to balance the spiciness of the hot sauce.
