By law they have to list ingredients in the order of weight, so if it’s first there’s more of it in the product than things closer to the end of the list. So they’re using less cream; I don’t know HOW much less, but it’s enough for me to tell and not like it nearly as much. I have the vanilla so I’m curious how that one will be.... usually I don’t like lemon flavored things because they’re so tart (as the newer pint is), but the old recipe didn’t have that tartness. So I guess we’ll see! I’m hoping for the best with the vanilla, but it’s still a shame they’re going up in calories.
No, I get that their in order of amount used, however in the first they don't list as "milk, cream, etc" they list "milk AND cream, other ingredients" as if milk and cream are one ingredient they added up - so for example, say there was 20g milk and 5g cream - or 25g milk and cream. In the second, with them not added, it could be 20g of skim milk and 6g of cream if that 6g is less than the other ingredients between milk and cream. I think.

How did everyone do with the Shop Rite pint sale? I picked up two new Enlightened flavors: Cookies and Cream and Toasted Almond. Omg, the Cookies and Cream might be my new favorite tied with Movie Night. I don't detect a single artificial sweetener note -- it just tastes like an Oreo! So simple, so good. Toasted Almond is pretty tasty too; it tastes just like a Good Humor Toasted Almond Bar I also picked up Fudge Brownie and Cookie Dough because I know I like it. I was so mad they didn't have Glazed Donut or S'mores (I don't think I'll ever find those), but I did get to pick up Chilly Cow. They were also $2.88 and my store had $1 off coupons hanging nearby on the case. I bought Sweet Cream Peanut Butter and Vanilla Graham. I'm excited to try those as I hear good things3

I’ve been going and buying more than I planned on, as usual! But I found out my dad was going to pass another Shoprite so I gave him my card and when he checked out they gave him a $1.50 off (2) Halo Top pints coupon! That’s why I went back today xD so check those coupons they hand you!!2 -
That's awesome! I love when I can get stuff I love at a deep discount. I have so much ice cream in the freezer that I don't know where to start lol. I think I have a problem.2

Aw...well, it's all week long so you're gonna have to get on that2 -

I think "seasonal" means for summer. The stuff in the middle freezer or by the registers are usually the weekly special buy- so things that will only be there for a week (or until supplies last.) "Seasonal" would mean it's a summer item that will be here until the season changes.
But, if they have enough success with it, they might choose to keep it. Depends on how much profit they are making and the terms of the contract with the manufacturer.

Tried the Halo Top peaches and cream today. . It was awesome, hubby and i shared it on the long drive home from Wally-World. It softened nicely and was really creamy.3

This just confirms they're definitely working with Halo Top... they totally have a deal selling "off brand" ice cream Halo Top produces, I'm convinced ;P Who knows, maybe that's why Halo Top changed their recipe, so people couldn't do a side by side comparison! That's my little ice cream conspiracy theory, anyways xD
I went to like four different Shoprites today while I was out to try and find Enlightened's Red Velvet pint because I had the most intense craving for it... neither one sold it! However, I was able to find some of the lower calorie 280 pints for chocolate banana! I was willing to try one of their new recipes but this time it was sold out at the store I originally saw the higher one at, go figure. But my freezer is STUFFED. I'm done now. I have to be.1 -

Saw these in ibotta. Would like the try them!

Saw these in Wal-Mart on Saturday. I didn't get any because I was on a mission, but I am thinking of going back. Has anyone tried them?3 -
Cloe's Pops. I tried the Dark Chocolate last night for dessert. 60 calories, 15 grams of carbs (13 of sugar, kind of high but manageable). Very satisfying chocolate taste, not as rich as an ice cream bar but still very good. She also has fruit bars which are also low in calories. Nice option when you just need something sweet, but don't want to use too many calories.

I really don't get the hype. The base is bland, the texture is way off.... not satisfying at all. I'd much rather have one serving of regular ice cream.6 -

I kinda have to agree. I had the Vanilla Graham last night and was underwhelmed. There was literally one graham swirl in there, and the rest was a bland, oddly sweetened vanilla. I ate it but I didn't really love it. I still have two more flavors in the freezer, so I'm hoping I like those better.2 -

Me, three. Brownie Batter was the best flavor I tried, but not good enough to buy more.3 -

As long as all those ihoP gift cards I ordered through Amazon’s lightning deals works I’m good haha, if not that’s pretty messed up...2 -
Chillycow is bogo at Publix starting Wednesday but I see they use erythritol too. I am not a fan of the erythritol ice creams. I have tried the ben and jerry light and it’s ok.
I think I have come to the conclusion to just eat regular ice cream. Make room in my calories for it.6 -

Not crazy about the Golden Oreo O’s, but mix them with the chocolate Oreo O’s and throw in some mini marshmallows? 10/10.

Wow. These Snickers look nearly identical when I cut them!
Salty n Sweet Snickers: tastes like a salty version of regular snickers, but whereas I normally enjoy salty things it’s just... weird with this. I didn’t like it.
Espresso Snickers: First of all, the smell alone SCREAMS coffee! It’s more bitter than a normal Snickers bar, and while I enjoy it more, I feel like it would’ve paired better with a darker chocolate coating. The milk chocolate/espresso combination again, comes across as a little strange and doesn’t complement each other well. I didn’t hate it, but I won’t get it again, either. I’m freezing my other bar in hopes it’ll improve it.
I went to 2 Shoprites today in hopes that I would find some 240 calorie pints left by Halo Top. No success whatsoever. I caved and decided to try the 280 calorie Lemon Cake. It might be all in my head, but it feels less creamy and more tart. Definitely more of an upfront lemon flavoring than before and not as sweet. I don’t like it nearly as much went from being one of my favorites behind Caramel Macchiato to way down on my list as flavors not to get again. I also noticed the Chocolate Banana pint went from 280 calories to 320... ugh.
I agree with the lemon flavor being stronger. But honestly a 40 calorie increase isn't really anything to get worked up about. I usually count them higher anyway because of the net carbs.0 -
It’s not the fact that it’s 40 calories so much as it is the whole idea that they’ve been increasing the calories in all their pints. When I first fell in love with Halo Top, the chocolate was 240 calories, then it went up to 280 calories (“only 40”). Now, it’s going up another “only 40” calories to 320. What’s next, is it just going to continue this trend for all their flavors? I fell in love with Halo Top for being low calorie, so if they keep moving away from this, a lot of their target customers are going to slip through their fingers and land in the hands of competitors like Enlightened, which has been doing the opposite (the Butter Pecan went from 400 a pint to 360). It’s MUCH more favorable to lose 40 calories than go up 40, especially in this type of industry.
The new recipe for the vanilla isn’t as offensive as the lemon, but it’s still not as good in my opinion or worth the extra 40 calories. It’s less sweet now definitely a lot less noticeable difference, though.
Also, that espresso Snickers is 10x better if you freeze it first! It’s so much yummier! Reminds me of a coffee flsvored Heath Bar this way.

Hahahahaha I went to target but no luck. Hope they have soon. Also got this email and I picked apple pie no one else has an apple cookie so I’m hoping it’s good. They really are trying to get customers back. Free samples are starting to win be over, I am a sucker for freebies lol.
