•6/7 -196.6 - Oh yeah. My tag-a-long friend.
•6/8 - 196.2 - My actual weight and this water retention is so funny to me. I guess I will see 195.6 again or less by the end of the 10 days. That seems to be the trend.
•6/9 - 198 - I weighed in at 198 very early this morning. No opportunity to weigh at my usual time. The increase was surely due to the fact that I took 20ozs of water filled with electrolytes to bed with me. I needed it. It was a hot day yesterday. Ran errands until late afternoon and cooked all evening. My granddaughter, 4, and grandson, 18 mos, were with me today. Five hours of coloring, painting, sticker activities, reading, music and nursery rhyme videos, climbing on me and lap sitting. I'm tired now. I had to rely on my peanut butter as my mid-day meal. I NEVER get to eat an actual meal when they are visiting. I'm feeding them all day though. My water intake is on the low side too. Why? I give those little rascals water, but they drink mine. Smh. I guess mine tastes better to them. Can't wait for the next visit.
•6/10 - 199.2 - Not alarmed by this weigh in. I just didn't weigh before consuming 16 ozs of water and 2 large mugs of coffee. Still some water retention also I'm sure. Frankly, I can hold extra fluid like a sponge, but being on Keto is in another realm for me. Mind boggling.

6/10 = 190.8 (+0.6), BF% = 15.3. Yesterday was a mixed bag. Basketball was great, eating, not so much. My wife was a horrible, insidious influence. I know my eating is my responsibility, but she was in rare form. I need to find a kind way to talk with her about this, because I can deal with temptation, but not sabotage from my wife.
I feel your pain! I've gained a lot of weight the past 5 years as a result of a new marriage and my husband's indulgent tendencies. Every meal is his "last supper"! He's also gained weight. I've tried to talk with him to no avail. And you are right, I just have to take responsibility and I guess from now on he can either eat what I serve or make his own dinner.... I hope your wife is more responsive!6 -

6/08--218.2 There it goes. Got my water in yesterday.
6/09--218.0 Going back down slowly. Working on making sure I get my water in this weekend. It's supposed to be a rainy weekend so I am planning on getting out when there is a break in the weather and get my steps in.
6/10--219.2 Chinese food water retention. Based on my past experience the water weight will stick around for 2-3 days. Got my steps in yesterday and already did Kettlebell for today. Going out to a bbq today, so it will be a good challenge for me to stay focussed on my balanced eating.

Ok. I used to struggle with this as well, allowing my weight loss goals to be derailed by other people's celebrations. My question is: Why? Why is someone else's celebration a reason to eat badly or entirely too much? Sure, I want to celebrate your achievement, but I don't have to place my own goals below your achievement. It is important that I get healthy and stay that way. Actually, maintaining a healthy lifestyle IS the most important gift for your elderly self.
Celebrate the person, and give a gift to your 85 year old self at the same time. Decide to NOT use the celebration to go off the rails. YOU are important to your future self.8 -

7: 201... Had company from out of state last night and ate a late supper with a bit of wine. It was a nice evening with friends. Taking the kids on a family day trip today, and will just enjoy whatever meals are available as I'm not sure where we'll end up eating. Spontaneous quality family time day to just enjoy each other and life! I may or may not log, but I imagine the scale will go up tomorrow. This kind of feels like my "weekend."
8: 203.1... Not so very long ago, I would've been ashamed to post this kind of weight jump. Today, I'm not. I enjoyed a "day off" and am easily observing the aftermath without judgement. Yesterday, I didn't follow my usual IF hours and found myself much hungrier than is normal for me these days. The hunger is likely also correlated to my approaching TOM. I made some healthy choices yesterday and some not so healthy ones. The scale reflects that. This morning, I also experienced increased hunger, but I stuck to IF. Ate some things I normally wouldn't due to traveling. I'm significantly over my calories, even with a 90-minute walk. But all is well. I'm happy with where I'm at on this journey and eagerly looking forward to where I want to be. I spend time acknowledging how far I've come and how much easier the process is for me when I lighten up and don't judge or shame myself. I'm not stressing about needing to see a certain number. I just know that I'll get there. I love and accept my body the way it is for all that it has gotten me through. This abdomen has carried three beautiful children. These hips widened to allow their passage into the world. These thighs are strong and have walked me through military training, a combat deployment, many personal challenges, and thousands of miles of personal reflection and renewal. I look in the mirror and like what I see, and I see my body changing to reflect my positive thoughts surrounding it. It's a beautiful life and I beautiful day. I hope you all are enjoying yours! ❤️
9: 204... Attack of the late night munchies. Stayed in bed until noon today. Pre-TOM symptoms are full force!
10: 203... I did well yesterday. I ended up over calories by 64, but that still puts me way below maintenance. Got up and took a walk in the rain this morning and met my step goal before noon. Looking forward to seeing another drop tomorrow.

Just Give Me 10 Days
Hello! Joining in late. Please don’t flay me if I’m breaking some kind of unspoken rule. I weigh myself everyday but don’t log it because I think I’ll jinx myself. And I know it’ll mess with my head if I have to change my progress to gaining vs losing. I’m thinking this mindset needs to change and fluctuations happen. I usually log loss once it stays under for a few days. This might be a great way for me to document my weight every day.

6/07 - 167.5 - I'm down today, but we celebrated a birthday last night and I went over my weight loss calories. I'm expecting a little bump up tomorrow, but this is a nice way to start.
6/08 - 166.5 - I got on the scale 3 times to be sure. I doubt this sticks, but it's so nice to see that number!
6/09 - 167.5 - I had a feeling this was where it was going to be today. I've also just celebrated my husband's birthday with cake and margarita's, so tomorrow probably won't be much better, but I'll be back on track after tomorrow.
6/10 - 168.5 - Woohoo, those margarita's with the salt rimmed glasses were good! I am so glad I joined this group so I can be held accountable for these little celebrations and then get back on the wagon. The worst thing I could do is to let this weight gain take hold and keep gaining a couple pounds every month as I've done in the past.

6/08 - 62.6kg (-0.4kg) - Christened our new BBQ yesterday and got a lot of veggies in. Resisted the last half a krispy kreme hanging about the house. I wish my partner would just hurry up and eat it already!
6/07 - 62.6kg (0.0kg)- Weigh in was a pleasant surprise after a big carby dinner last night. I succumbed to that stupid half a doughnut as well - I just got sick of looking at it haha. Lots of incidental exercise today and a light dinner planned.
6/08 - 61.9kg (-0.7kg) - I'm very excited and very dubious. I'm off sick with a cold so it is likely that the loss is dehydration. Still cool to see that 61.xx number Aiming for my goal weight of under 60kg by my birthday on the 9th July so it's potentially only one month to go! Let's do this!!
6/09 - 62.3kg (+0.4kg)- I'm ok with this. Had a BBQ at a friend's house with lots of delicious food and drinks. Still trending downwards too
6/10 - 62.3kg (0.0kg) - Had a light eating day yesterday and today. Feeling motivated and super excited to see my weight staying under the 63s (despite a little weekend indulgence)

6/07 - 127.4. UGH!! Ate at a Mediterranean all you can eat buffet last night. I ate mostly protein but it was a lot of food. Worked out for 30 mins today and so far eating pretty good. Hopefully I can keep it up and not give into late night eating. No more food after 8 PM.
6/08 - no weighing in as last night I injured my back. Think it’s a back spasm, not sure because I’ve never experienced it before. Excruciating pain whenever I even try to stand up, let alone walk. This is super annoying and painful.
6/09 - 125.8. Pushed myself to walk for a bit and it just made the pain worse. Sitting on the couch or lying down is my life right now pain seems to get better if I rest.

I hope your wife is more responsive!
Thank you for the validation @sunshinegirlnm !! I wish you luck with your husband, too!2
