JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS - Round 43

I'm fully back on Keto, and it kinda feels like I never left. I haven't had an official weigh-in below 190, but I have seen it on my scale, and I'm really excited. The end of last round was fantastic (~5lbs in 3 days), and it looks like it "stuck." Going on vacation next Tuesday for 1 week (and with my in-law side of the family... 10 people... in a van), and I'm really happy that I got back on Keto before this. It's just not THAT hard to maintain, and it gives me an extra reason (for them) to stay away from things I've always wanted to stay away from.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/07 = 190.4 (+0.2), BF% = 15.3 (no change). I'm really happy to see this number, as I was not fully convinced that yesterday's weigh-in was accurate. I snacked a bit much yesterday, which led to me eating at about maintenance. I'm feeling super-positive right now. I have basketball and the weightlifting tonight. I think I'm eventually going to alternate my weightlifting and basketball days; I'm not sure it will make a difference health/fitness-wise, but it should improve the likelihood that I get my weightlifting in. At this point, when I have to sacrifice something (because of time), I just do legs at the gym, not upper body.
6/08 = 191.2 (+0.8), BF% = 15.3. This is "one of those days." I played basketball last night, I had a healthy dinner, and I ate well yesterday; everything indicated that today should have been, at worst, maintaining my weight. Daily fluctuations; sometimes they make sense, sometimes they don't. But, given my current Zen state, I'm going to see this for what it is. Basketball was mediocre last night, but I didn't get hurt. I'm experiencing some ridiculous drama at work today (petty personal drama), and it has me in a bad mood.
6/09 = 190.2 (-1.0), BF% = 15.3. Basically A WHOOSH™. I ate well yesterday. I'm right in the edge of 189.x. Trying not to obsess about it. I play basketball in a little over an hour, and I'm going to stop at the gym. This could be the day. I'm going to eat very mindfully today. Going it for drinks tonight for a friend's birthday, so it's going to be tough. 2 drinks max, and they must be Keto-friendly.
6/10 = 190.8 (+0.6), BF% = 15.3. Yesterday was a mixed bag. Basketball was great, eating, not so much. My wife was a horrible, insidious influence. I know my eating is my responsibility, but she was in rare form. I need to find a kind way to talk with her about this, because I can deal with temptation, but not sabotage from my wife.
6/11 = 192.6 (+1.8), BF% = 15.5. I feel like this is "leftover" from my day before, because I was within calories, macros, and whatever. Maybe I had a "little" more bacon last night than I should have. I have been a little light on sleep the past few days, and I've also been a little light on water, and both of those could be affecting things. I'm playing basketball and going to the gym tonight. I'll keep trying to figure this out. Not going to let this get me down.
6/12 = 191.0 (-1.6), BF% = 15.3. Total BWHOOSH™ (formerly known as BOUNCE BACK™). Finally a decent weigh-in after basketball last night. My knee felt loose/sore at basketball, though, so it wasn't all good news. I went to the gym before basketball last night, lifted weights (including legs), but I have to admit that I skipped the gym last Thursday and Saturday (but still played basketball). I know better. Thinking back, I'm pretty sure I know what's going on, as it's happened before. Part of me (hell, all of me) wants to be "normal" again, someone who isn't dealing with the aftereffects of reconstructive knee surgery 20 years ago, including pretty severe osteoarthritis. I would love to be able to play basketball and NOT need to lift weights every time I go in order to keep my reconstructed knee and associated leg in its best possible state (which still sucks). This experience, once again, reminds me that this day will never come. It's a little depressing, but this is old, old news. If I go to the gym regularly (one gym workout per one day of basketball), I generally feel much better. I'm recommitting to doing this. Again. On a happier note, I'm going on vacation for a week! I will not be weighing in again until Wednesday, 6/20. Anyone have any ideas regarding how I should "report" this in my history (SW, EW, AW, etc.)? *Edit* Last night I asked my wife to take the following phrase out of her vocabulary when it comes to me and food, "Maybe you can just have a little."
6/13 = no weigh in. Driving to Sedona this morning for a weeklong vacation with my in-laws (9 adults plus one 5-year-old and and infant). I got very little sleep last night. Our plan was to rent a huge can and drive together, but that fell apart last second, and we spent an extra 2 hours coming up with an alternative (renting a car and a Suburban). I'm exhausted, but excited about keeping to my Keto and trying to at least maintain my weight until I get back.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/07 189 lbs. AM did various 30 day challenges. No other workouts. Worked late and ate too many calories. Back on track tomorrow- no matter what the scale shows.
6/08 189 lbs worked out in Park, did 30 day challenges. Back on track with calories.
6/09 189 lbs. walked 8.8 miles. Overate calories by 1741 - eating out of boredom. At grandkids school function and didn’t have anything to do - so I ate. Expect to see at least a 3 lb gain tomorrow. Not for this one day but for the entire week - has been full of days going over my calorie limit.
6/10 189 lbs. walked over a total of 7 miles today (3 different walks). Ran/walked over 4 miles. Still managed to overeat by 944 calories. Still looking for that gain.
6/11 193 lbs. I found the gain. Feels like a weight is lifted off my shoulders. Walked over 2+ miles today. Then took a body sculpting class in the PM. Still went over calories by 1485. Tomorrow I take control of this ride. I have to stop this merry go round of waiting for a gain to get back to program. Okay buckle up Anita cuz this about to be a heck of a ride.
6/12 192 lbs. alternating brisk & easy walk for 7.39 miles in 2 hours 28 mins. Went over calories by 81. Made great choices for breakfast and lunch. Pretzels for dinner (what I wanted). The sodium content is way too much. Got to cut back down to three times a week. So I won’t have any pretzels until Sunday.5 -
Day/Weight/Comment
Hi. I am Donna. I am on the low carb keto diet because I need to lose weight but also quickly lower my blood glucose levels since I am Type 2 diabetic and my glucose numbers got to a very dangerous level. So far it is working. My weight loss goals are also being met although I have found when it comes to weight loss, all true diets will work if you stick with it consistantly and try to get in some physical fitness as well. This is my first 10 day challenge. Good luck to us all (no matter which type of diet or physically activity you have chosen). We can do this folks!
6/07 193.8 lbs. I Had a doctor appointment today and found out my blood levels are all perfect including my cholesterol so I am thrilled. Dr. supports my keto diet and gave me some more tips. Stuck to my diet very good today although I still battle occasional cravings.
6/08 195.1 lbs. Darn that BBQ I attended anyway. I SHOULD NOT have had dessert either. Tomorrow will be better. I'm human and sometimes fail. But I always jump back on the horse and ride again, so I vow to be faithful tomorrow....
6/09 194.6 Going in the right directions finally. I have walked 1.5 - 3.0 miles each day including today. I have been steadfast to the diet today. I am proud of myself today.
6/10 194.6 I walked 13,180 steps today with lots of physical activity. Most of this was work related and not repetitive exercise, but still healthy on the heart and burns a couple hundred calories. I stuck to my diet today with very little temptation. Some days are just better than others!
6/11 193.6….. Down one pound. Slow movement. I have Intermittent fasted each and every day on the 12:8 plan. Today I also practiced an Egg Fast with very low calories to give myself a jolt as I wonder if I am hitting a bit of a plateau. Had 12,812 steps by 11:53 pm. Took a nice 1.5 mile moderate paced walk. REMEMBER FOLKS, ANY PROGRESS IS STILL PROGRESS. SOME ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE NSV'S. I REMAIN PROUD OF US ALL.
6/12 191.0 whoo hoo. Finally lost some weight which likely includes water weight, but Hey! It needed to go too! Also, I finally went to the bathroom (if you know what I mean). Sometimes hard to go on this particular diet due to lack of whole grains. I Didn’t feel too well today. Less than 6000 steps on my fitbit. No walk in the neighborhood. But I stuck to my diet very well. That’s the report on my physical. My mental and emotional state was very good because I feel I scored a scale victory. I’m just a smidgen from the 180’s. whoo hoo! This challenge is keeping me honest and keeping me real. I hope it is helping all of you too.
6/13 190.8 Out of town today / travel so I know I will be going off course. Will likely see a bump up tomorrow. Also had no ability to take my normal walk so I did a few stretches. Clocked in 6,700 steps, over 2 miles and 7 flights of stairs by 11:30 pm. I have a feeling I am really going to pay for all of this tomorrow. I got in lots and lots of water today though which is a NSV for me.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/08 - 62.6kg (-0.4kg) - Christened our new BBQ yesterday and got a lot of veggies in. Resisted the last half a krispy kreme hanging about the house. I wish my partner would just hurry up and eat it already!
6/07 - 62.6kg (0.0kg)- Weigh in was a pleasant surprise after a big carby dinner last night. I succumbed to that stupid half a doughnut as well - I just got sick of looking at it haha. Lots of incidental exercise today and a light dinner planned.
6/08 - 61.9kg (-0.7kg) - I'm very excited and very dubious. I'm off sick with a cold so it is likely that the loss is dehydration. Still cool to see that 61.xx number Aiming for my goal weight of under 60kg by my birthday on the 9th July so it's potentially only one month to go! Let's do this!!
6/09 - 62.3kg (+0.4kg)- I'm ok with this. Had a BBQ at a friend's house with lots of delicious food and drinks. Still trending downwards too
6/10 - 62.3kg (0.0kg) - Had a light eating day yesterday and today. Feeling motivated and super excited to see my weight staying under the 63s (despite a little weekend indulgence)
6/11 - 62.6kg (+0.3kg) -
Note to self: Long-term consistency will overcome daily fluctuations. Keep focused on your targets, keep doing what you're doing and you will achieve your goals.
6/12 - 61.9kg (-0.7kg) - Bye bye weekend weight. Went for another run last night which was easier than the run last week Also, I think I might be approaching the upper limit of my maintenance range. For the first time in my life I think I can say that I like my body - a combination of weight loss and self-acceptance/love. Only took 30 years!
6/13 - 61.7kg (-0.2kg) - I am expecting a stressful work situation to come to a head today. I refuse(!) to be derailed by stress eating so am planning a long walk in the woods to relax and reflect before coming home for dinner.
6/14 - 61.7kg (0.0kg) - Well, you can't lose weight every single day can you? I had planned a run today but it's gale-force winds and rain outside. Yoga maybe? Feeling a bit deflated and down in general. At least my weight loss is going well, I guess! Only 0.2kg to my R43 goal.

Been a crazy month - Missed the end of round 40 and the last two rounds! Been away three times, been to lots of family events and never got round to weighing and logging! But so need to get back to this challenge – missed it and seeing everyone else's posts! Not expecting a massive rise on the scale but sure there will be a few extra pounds
Very busy 7 weeks ahead (3 weekends away for Cheerleading Competitions, weekend away for sons wedding, daughters, sons and granddaughters birthdays, friends wedding, my birthday) - its never ending and there's never a month where there isn't something happening but its not a reason - its an excuse! So I'm back to it with a new target of 135lb before my holiday at the start of August - so 8 weeks - which I'm sure is more than do-able - first weigh in on Thursday morning..... Can't wait to get back into it......
6/07 - 141.20lb - ouch! Don't like seeing the 140's again - time to focus! 5 and a bit rounds till my holiday to lose half a stone (7lb to our non uk challengers!) - so aiming this round to get to 139.xx or lower of course! Tough with a cheer weekend this weekend but not going to get any easier as the weeks go by....... Enjoy everyone
6/08 - DNW - totally forgot to weigh - out the habit!
6/09 - Cheerleading weekend away - no scale
6/10 - Cheerleading weekend away - no scale
6/11 - DNW but back on track today! Mad, long and tiring cheerleading weekend and home very late last night so this morning was an achievement just getting everyone up and out the house on time for work and school! Good food day planned today though, plenty of water and still aim to see a loss before the end of the round....
6/12 - 142.50lb - uugghh!! Not a good start to the day - but guess this is what happens when I don't log and track for a month followed by a weekend away where I ate way too much convenience food and carbs! But the damage could have been so much worse - and guess the most important thing is that I'm back to it! Friends wedding next Friday so got a real focus for the next 10 days Although usual events sent to try me - daughters 15th birthday this week and Fathers Day on Sunday - always something!
6/13 - 141.40lb - feeling less bloated today, went to the gym last night and only had a light dinner afterwards. Hoping weigh in tomorrow will see the end of the weekend excesses and take me below this rounds start weight and I can then start making progress rather than playing the weekend catch up game!
6/14 - 140.1lb - another 1.3lb down - gotta love a whoosh! Good news is I'm down over the start of the round, feeling so much better already and target of 140 or under looking likely.... Good food day planned ahead, gym PT session tonight followed by a carb heavier dinner afterwards (Hubbys homemade burgers - all within daily allowance and only 420 calories - yummy!)

6/07: 101.1kg/222.9lbs – Amazing start to the round!! Imagine if I could creep below 100kg… Slept in today instead of going for a run and I regret it however I did work 16 hours yesterday, and working 16 hours today. Might try to run tomorrow morning instead!!
6/08: 101.2kg/223.1lbs – Happy with this, no doubt it’ll creep down again soon. 8km this morning, calves tightened up very quickly!!
6/09: DNW
6/10: DNW
6/11: 99.5kg/219.3lbs – Busy weekend, had to cut my run 2.5km short as I wasn’t feeling 100% yesterday. I currently feel terrible, unsure why. But hey, I’m finally below 100kg!!!
6/12: 99.6kg/219.5lbs – I have been very busy, currently working 2 jobs, training for a marathon and next week I’m moving house and I had an interview today!
6/13: 100.2kg/220.9lbs – Very busy bee at the minute so I’m not posting as frequently, happy with these fluctuations, I know they’ll drop back down soon enough.
6/14: 100.3kg/221.1lbs – I GOT THE JOB!! Also ran 8km this morning and now to work for 16 hours, and then repeat all I have done today, tomorrow.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/07 - 238.2 - Been so good but stuck on this weight for days, even though have been on calorie amount and exercised everyday. Off to a hen do for the next 3 days so no weighing in. Going to be as good as I can.
6/08 - Hen Do - No scales
6/09 - Hen Do - No scales
6/10 - Hen Do - No scales
6/11 - 239.4 (+1.2) - As you can guess I was not that well behaved at the hen do. Oh well...need to get back on it today. Got spinning and 10km walk planned so hopefully I can shift what I have put on.
6/12 - 237.8 (-1.6) - did a shed load of exercise yesterday so please that I lose the bit of weight I put on the hen. Need to do another couple of pounds by the end of the week though to be back on course.
6/13 - 235.6 (-2.2) - wow wasn't expecting that. eating just over the 1200kcals so not starving myself, however, did walk home from work which is 1.5hr walk. think there has a lot to do with my hormones though!!
6/14 - 234.2 (-1.4) - Another good day yesterday, with 7km and a game of softball, however again, this amount of weight is 60% hormones 40% hard work. Still going to enjoy it though!

6/07 - 167.5 - I'm down today, but we celebrated a birthday last night and I went over my weight loss calories. I'm expecting a little bump up tomorrow, but this is a nice way to start.
6/08 - 166.5 - I got on the scale 3 times to be sure. I doubt this sticks, but it's so nice to see that number!
6/09 - 167.5 - I had a feeling this was where it was going to be today. I've also just celebrated my husband's birthday with cake and margarita's, so tomorrow probably won't be much better, but I'll be back on track after tomorrow.
6/10 - 168.5 - Woohoo, those margarita's with the salt rimmed glasses were good! I am so glad I joined this group so I can be held accountable for these little celebrations and then get back on the wagon. The worst thing I could do is to let this weight gain take hold and keep gaining a couple pounds every month as I've done in the past.
6/11 - 168.5 - I'm glad the gaining has stopped. I hope to see a drop in the next couple days.
6/12 - 167.5 - I'm very happy with this.
6/13 - 167.5 - After a 10 day stay, our out of town family left for home this morning, so my eating and steps should stabilize now. I would love to see that 166.5 number again before this challenge is over.
6/14 - 166 - OK, I'm a little skeptical of the quick drop, but I'll take it and hope it sticks.

Round 43 goal – get to and stay in the upper 180’s
6/7 – 189lbs – what do ya know. 2-pound loss overnight. Now STAY THERE
6/8 – 188lbs – nice, had lots of fish and veggies yesterday. Also had adult beverages.
6/9 – 191lbs – makes no cents but we all know it happens even when we eat right.
6/10 – 191lbs – eat good. Had an entire jar of pickles 3 days in a row now. love them but maybe to much salt.
6/11 190lbs – no pickles and down a pound over the weekend. That’s unheard of !!!!!!!
6/12 – 190lbs – fasting for blood test later today. hope the 40lbs loss gets some of my meds lowered!!!
6/13 – 189lbs – really surprised by this since I had Asian buffet for lunch and pizza out on the boat fishing. It was hot and the bugs may have nibbled off the pound. Oh well it puts me back to starting weight.
6/14 -191lbs – 3 big homemade lake Michigan steelhead tacos.dang good, to good!!! Also had late nigh binge on my homemade 10 hour smoked BBQ ribs.6 -

Round 43
My Round 1
SW: 132.4 (6/7/18)
GW: 123 lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
6/07- 132.4 - lots of brown rice and broccoli for lunch and dinner. Need to make sleep a priority.
6/08 - 133.2 -always annoying when you eat no processed food, lots of veggies and come in heavier. Gym and yoga. Intermittent fast from 6pm-11am.
6/09 132.8. Yay. Was expecting to have gained weight as we did sushi last night but I don’t use say sauce so winning. I slept through my morning alarm to go run. Sleep continues to be a need. Plan to run later and indoor Rock climb.
6/10-133. I had 2 beers and pasta for dinner last night. I needed the carbs. Lots of physical activity so came in under my calorie allowance. 2 hour solid effort bike ride this am. Goal is to not “reward” myself with junky food and /or beer but rather healthy foods and just one beer or glass of wine. I got sleep last night and feel so much better!
6/11 - 132.8. intermittent fast. Last night I ate a frozen veggie pizza. Not the best but not the worst. Enjoyed adult beverages, too. Early dinner last night to prepare for morning fast. Headed to the gym and then a short hill repeat run.
6/12 - 133. Drag. But I am not surprised. Work has been very busy. Popped another veggie pizza in the oven. I only ate 2/3 of it this time. I ate a big arugula salad first. I know I am making good decisions and eating within and under my calorie allowance. Eventually I think things will give
6/13 -135. Good times. I am actually OK with this as I was expecting it. Did a nice workout at the climbing gym yesterday and went out to eat for a bday. I went 23 cal over my budget. I chose a fish sandwich on rye bread, a plain baked potato and I had two beers. It’s incredible how much sodium they put in food when you eat out. The cool thing is my harness for climbing is getting bigger. Ha. So clothes fitting better even if the scale mocks me today.
6/14 134. Aaaand it’s THAT time of the month so...I feel in a few days I’ll be back down as I am retaining water like a Zinkin boat. Gave in to salt cravings last night but didn’t give in to chocolate cravings. I also drank a super delicious big old beer to help with my cramps. Advil would have been a better choice. 2 calories over totally budget.
6/15 - intermittent fast

6/07 - 170.6 - +2.2 from 06/06, restaurant dinner last night & no gym
6/08 - 170.6 - no loss from yesterday but today’s my weekly weigh in and I’m down 1.4 from last week!
6/09 - traveling - couldn’t weigh but I know it’ll be a gain because of all the food last night. Was worth it tho! Will just have a good week to make up for it
6/10 - 172.0 - operation “make up for the weekend” has officially started
6/11 - 172.4 - I have a feeling it’s going to be one of those weeks where I eat within deficit and workout but the scale number goes up. Happens every couple weeks for me
6/12 - 170.8 - finally headed back in the right direction!
6/13 - 169.4 - worked really hard on my deficit and exercise yesterday and glad to see it shown in the scale!
6/14 - 171.6 - no explanation for this. Yesterday was a decent calorie day and a really good exercise one. Who knows...

Just Give Me 10 Days
Hello! Joining in late. Please don’t flay me if I’m breaking some kind of unspoken rule. I weigh myself everyday but don’t log it because I think I’ll jinx myself. I usually log loss once it stays under for a few days. This might be a great way for me to document my weight every day.
5'2", Female, Serial Starter, Loss 65lbs in 6 months with MFP in 2013 (250lbs to 185lbs). Did it once, can do it again and then some.
Round 43 (My Round 1)
Round Goal: Familiarize self with challenge format. Overall downward trend.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/07- Entered round late.
6/08- Entered round late.
6/09- Entered round late.
6/10- 240.4 Proud of myself for exhibiting self control yesterday. Had to go to a Chinese buffet for a lunch thing. I made better food choices, did not over-eat, and stayed under my calorie budget for the day.
6/11- 239.8 Woohoo! Still cautiously optimistic as I’m still waiting for that initial massive loss to steady out. 10lbs in 2 weeks seems too good to be true. Does anyone know if that initially loss comes back a little? Did good yesterday food wise.
6/12- 239.2 Pizza was provided at lunch meeting. I walked away and ate my tuna instead. I did go back and ate the toppings off a slice of the chicken and veggies. Still a win, I think. I was just under calories goal today but felt hungry. Need to eat more protein.
6/13- 238! <insert Austin Powers voice>. Yea Baby! Trucking along nicely. Under calories yesterday but did not feel hugger. Onwards and downwards!
6/14- 238. Womp womp. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed after logging such a nice loss yesterday. Trying to stay positive and remember that at least it maintained but it’s difficult. Going to work hard to not let it get to my head. Was well within my calories and hit my protein goal yesterday. Possible reason for maintaining is that I may be PMSing. Light cramps yesterday and this morning. AF may be finally returning after last baby in January.

We went out for lunch yesterday (Mexican, but I had grilled chicken and rice with veggies), so although I stayed pretty much within calorie bounds, I'm sure my sodium was higher than usual. I spent a good hour digging and planting flowers in my garden.
6/08 - 149.8 - 1245 - 10-day ave 1421.4
OK, scale, I'm ready for a little drop if you don't mind. I'm keeping calories low, macros good, and I'm exercising, so come on, your turn.
6/9 - 149.8 - 1433 - 10-day ave 1435.5
Sigh. I really thought I'd see a little more movement here. My total calories are right at my estimated TDEE (maintenance), but I'm burning a reasonable number each day. Or I thought I was. I guess I'll keep doing what I'm doing through the end of this round and see if there's any progress. If not, I'll look for a way to shake things up. It's pouring rain this morning, with lightning, so no walk, but I'll find something else.... Lunch with a friend, but I'll stick to good stuff. Have a lovely weekend, all!
6/10 - 149.6 - 1442 - 10-day ave 1448.9
Finally, a baby step in the right direction. I find these numbers & averages fascinating. There's still one high-calorie day in my 10-day set of numbers - it will be there for 2 more days. Without it, by average would be about 40 calories lower. I'll be interested to see what happens when I hit the lower averages (assuming I don't splurge again any time soon!). I do eat what I want - pizza for lunch yesterday with a friend - but still keep my daily total within bounds and that seems to make the difference. Anyway, if you find yourself frustrated with the daily ups & downs, try averaging, either yourself or using one of the apps that calculate running averages of weights entered.
6/11 - 150 - 1374 - 10-day ave 1456.6 (7-day ave 1421)
I'm officially frustrated. Phooey.
6/12 - 150 - 1325 - 10-day ave 1447.7 (7-day ave 1427)
Okay, whatever. I just reset my calories goal 90 lower than before. I'm not all that happy to be that low, although it's not much below my estimated TDEE, but will see what happens. I should be back to truly regular exercise by next week and will add back some calories then.
6/13 - 149.8 - 1345 - 10-day ave 1400 (7-day ave 1384)
Back again to what seems to be my body's favorite weight. But we're gonna break through it this time! Our days of rain seem to be over for a while, so I should be able to get at least one, maybe two walks in. A year ago I was walking 2-3 hours/day and losing on 1800 calories. I need to get back to that regime! (Have I said before that moving & being "in transition" for 4 months sucks?) Again, thanks for the inspiration - I read your comments and see that I have no excuse for not getting my exercise in!
6/14 - 148.8 - 10-day ave 1404 (net 1216) (7-day ave 1370)

•6/7 -196.6 - Oh yeah. My tag-a-long friend.
•6/8 - 196.2 - My actual weight and this water retention is so funny to me. I guess I will see 195.6 again or less by the end of the 10 days. That seems to be the trend.
•6/9 - I weighed in at 198 very early this morning. No opportunity to weigh at my usual time. The increase was surely due to the fact that I took 20ozs of water filled with electrolytes to bed with me. I needed it. It was a hot day yesterday. Ran errands until late afternoon and cooked all evening. My granddaughter, 4, and grandson, 18 mos, were with me today. Five hours of coloring, painting, sticker activities, reading, music and nursery rhyme videos, climbing on me and lap sitting. I'm tired now. I had to rely on my peanut butter as my mid-day meal. I NEVER get to eat an actual meal when they are visiting. I'm feeding them all day though. My water intake is on the low side too. Why? I give those little rascals water, but they drink mine. Smh. I guess mine tastes better to them. Can't wait for the next visit.
•6/10 - 199.2 - Not alarmed by this weigh in. I just didn't weigh before consuming 16 ozs of water and 2 large mugs of coffee.
•6/11 - 195.2
•6/12 - 195.6 - Early weigh in
•6/13 - 196 - Early start, early weigh in and coffee. No water yet! Very unlike me. My routine will have slight disruptions the rest of the week due to Grands being sick daycare closing early, daycare graduation
•6/14 - 196.2 - Early weigh in - Despite the late start on my water consumption yesterday, I managed 136 ozs of fluid, 64 ozs of it water. I'm tired this morning, legs feel heavy, but no time for that, the Grands will be here shortly.

6/07 - Thursday - 198.4 - Nice! Last night was crazy busy, still ate well. Packed and ready to leave from work! I am committed to being present in the moment while away, but also plan to keep up my habit and log in to MFP each day. No scales. Aim to maintain while still enjoying!
6/08 - Friday - Traveling - ate at maintenance today! And yesterday. Aiming to do the same tomorrow and Sunday!
6/09 - Saturday - Traveling - another day at maintenance!
6/10 - Sunday - Traveling - Ate at maintenance again!
6/11 - Monday - 199.8 - Holy moly I cannot believe this! Perhaps I'm a bit dehydrated after traveling? Although I usually retain water after a flight. I had a lovely vacation with my family - it was not entirely centered around food but I certainly enjoyed myself eating instead of stressing about every bite. It was so nice to get away from it all. It was also fun to enjoy things this weekend and not feel bad about it. I'm not on a diet this time around - it's a lifestyle change. So I'm not stressing about "cheating" or having a few not so perfect days. Life is for living and I did a lot of that this weekend! The food I ate fueled me to wake up and watch the sunrise on the beach. It fueled me to swim and play in the ocean for hours. It was food I shared with loved one's. It was food that made me smile. I thought I might go home with a few extra pounds of weight, but it seems I have found the right balance and I get to come home with a few hundred memories, a heart full of love, and gratitude for the things my body allows me to do.
6/12 - Tuesday - 201.2 - Yesterday was tough - I was so tired, and I don't do well with anything when tired. I made it to the grocery store - avoided the chips in the check out line - but ate 2 slices of deli meat when I got home. Cooked and ate dinner, ate some ice cream, ate some chips, ate some more ice cream. Oi. That hasnt happened in a while but between the indulgences over the weekend and the lack of sleep I got a bit out of control. Logged it and I'm moving on! Back to my usuals today - smoothie, leftovers for lunch, popcorn for a snack, and meats thawing for dinner tonight. Lots of water to flush out ALL this sodium I've consumed over the past 5 days, expecting the gain to stick around a few days but hopeful to be back in onderland by rounds end!
6/13 - Wednesday - 200.6 - Ate within calories yesterday! Lots of water and fresh air really helped. I also did a little research on lack of sleep and weight. Turns out not getting enough sleep does indeed cause hormonal shifts that make you hungrier, and hungrier for fatty foods. So, I got to bed early again and I'm ready to crush another day! Got my smoothie, wrap with chips (portioned out) for lunch, and an extra scoop of protein powder for a snack because my protein goals have been falling short lately. Visualizing the scale being in the 100's by Saturday. Visualization helps me with a lot of things - I used to drive crazy distances and I'd visualize myself getting home at the end of it and it really helped me through those drives, so I kept it as a tool, and I'm going to try applying it here. Visualizing myself strong, fit, healthy, and happy!
6/14 - Thursday - 199.6 - Got some lab test results yesterday. Triglycerides were sky high. I was so dissapointed for a moment. But instead of wallowing, I did my research, got some fish oil, and worked doctors orders of 2 doses/day into my regular routine. A teaspoon in my morning smoothie, and a teaspoon in the evening after dinner. It's scary to see the numbers like that in black and white. That's why I'm doing this though - to gain knowledge and improve my health! Also started taking vitamin b complex last night because my bilirubin was also slightly elevated - my body is telling me that it might be due to vitamin b deficiency from metformin use. Now the hard part - to maintain these habits! Eating was good yesterday - stayed within calories even though I was "hungry" right before bed I resisted. Smoothie, packed lunch, snacks, and planned dinner is all prelogged today. Havent done that before but I was stressing about food yesterday so it felt good to commit to a plan and be done thinking about it. Lots of water again today. Im visualizing the scale at 197.6 - not specifically for the end of this round, it will be a 15 lb loss so that is what I'm working towards currently.

6/7 / 232 / Not a shocker given that I was up at 4 am to get on a train.
6/8 / 231 / Back to a more normal weigh in time. Yesterday was mostly train rides, though I did get walking in. High sodium and not enough water, so I'm pleased to be at 231. Woke up with a killer headache. I don't know if it's sinus or lack of caffeine (I've been trying to cut back). I started today with a big breakfast, so we'll see how my calories shake out.
6/9 / 230.6 / Sinus headache again (I'm pretty sure it's sinus).
6/10 / 230.4 / Slowly creeping down. And headache AGAIN. I've gone a tiny bit over calories the past couple of days. I've been eating bigger breakfasts than normal for me, and it's not a winning strategy. It's not enough to cause me to gain. It will just slow my loss. But today, I'm getting that back down to my normal. I've abandoned giving up caffeine right now.
6/11 / 231.4 / Bah.
6/12 / 230.4 / All day on the 11th in jury duty. Very under calories, though even more under on any hydration until late.
6/13 / 232 / I've got some digestive things going on that are no fun. I'm doing well, calorie-wise, so I'm not worried about this weigh in. I keep missing my exercise goal, though.
6/14 / 231.6 / Eating well. Got my exercise in. Tummy troubles continue to plague me.

6/07--176.4 Yes!!! Happy to see some movement to start off the round! Had a good day yesterday; didn't snack throughout the day and ended up only a few calories over my goal.
6/08--176.2 Two days in a row is beautiful! I am determined to make this last the whole round! No snacking yesterday but I did overeat Ben and Jerry's non-dairy ice cream last night. Even so, only a few calories over my goal.
6/09--176.4 Three days in a row at 176, haven't seen that in four years! Pilates this morning and hopefully working on some projects around the house this weekend. I tend to do better, food-wise, on the weekends.
6/10--175.8 Could it be??? I was active yesterday. My diet was on point. I earned this!
6/11--176.4 It was fun while it lasted
6/12--176.4 Way over my calories yesterday but just over maintenance, so I think it will be okay. I hope! Headed out of town today for a concert so it will be two days of being in the car and eating out.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/07 – 181.8: Miniscule drop, but I’LL TAKE IT!!! Ate well and didn’t eat back exercise calories. Really psyched for my Round 2. Thinking I’ll do another Booster Weekend. I didn’t do all the exercise I wanted last weekend, but the thought of my personal mini challenge kept me focused on eating well.
6/08 – 181.8: Same, and it’s ok. Did no workout yesterday and ate within calories but late. Planning how to stay on point this weekend with eating and exercise. Really want the downward creep to continue each day.
6/09 – 182.8: HUH??? This hurts my feelings because I ate within calories yesterday. Fine, I didn’t formally exercise, other than 45 minutes of housework, but seriously… a whole pound up??? This is too early in my journey for this. This is when I start to waiver, I NEED to go down please..
6/10 – 181.8: Back to starting weight at the beginning of this round. Grateful for this.
6/11 – 181.0: Late weigh in. Pleasant surprise since I had a Twizzlers attack last night. And not just the ordinary Twizzlers – the ones stuffed with creamy icing. I still managed to stay within calories, but way over on sugar and carbs. Gonna drink lots and lots of water today to flush it out.
6//12 – 181.0: Same. Below calories yesterday and one-hour walk. Would love to start running soon, but it’s been so long and I’m a bit nervous of injury. I really don’t want anything to stall my exercise, so I’ll take it slow, build strength and try a bit later. Hoping for a drop tomorrow.--
6/13 – 181.8: Hmmm. Trying not to overreact to this yoyo week. Last night, sweet cravings took over and I blew it. Note to self: next time DH calls to say “would you like anything [read junk food] from the grocery store” say NO!!! Twizzlers (again) and Sweet and Heat popcorn. My unevolved lizard brain is in control of my eating. I also jinxed myself and injured my knee on my walk yesterday. Yes, this is how far gone I am … I injured myself WALKING.
6/14 – 181.8: Well now! I want to be indignant because I ate within calories, but here is the lesson I learned today: weight loss is NOT just the result of calories in and calories out. It is the quality of calories in that makes the difference. For almost 95 per cent of the time, I am within calories. However, I regularly eat candy and chips in single servings so that I remain within my calorie limit, but it shows poorly on the scale. So, the scientific equation for me must be clean calories in, calories out. Doesn’t look like I’ll make my round goal weight of 179 or even close to it this time, but hey … I learned an important lesson, right???

6/08 166.8 Had a tough PM last night and overindulged in carbs, surprising that it didn't show up on the scale but I am grateful. I will get some exercise today for sure and hopefully get rid of the bloat!
6/09 166.6 I succumbed again last night to sweets after dinner, going over my calorie budget again. My husband is out of town and I feel like this is my "excuse" or the cause of my lack of motivation in the evening. I am surprised yet again that it didn't show up on the scale, but I will not push my luck for a third day in a row. I started the day both days really great, its just the 8 pm and later that has me struggling. Or not really struggling, just kind of saying what the heck, and going for it. Today is a new day. I can't change the past only move forward.
6/10 166.6 3rd night in a row where I overindulged.
6/11 166.6 so incredibly grateful to read everyone's challenges so similar to mine. It is hard sometimes to remember that it is a journey, a process, to enjoy the ride and not be so hard on myself. I had a really great day yesterday, a little over my calorie allowance, but I feel really good this morning because I made good choices. Today is going to be a great day!
6/12 166.8 I am actually super ok with this small gain, knowing that weighing myself daily will not be the best indicator of long term success. I was on plan and have already mapped out my meal plan for tomorrow. NSV-Maintained my calm all day in spite of outside forces attempting to lure me into stress. Eating on plan with one small exception of a bite of a cinnamon roll. I did indulge in 2 fiber one bars which I need to limit to 1 max a day tomorrow.
6/13 165.8 So stoked to be down a pound today, yesterday I had a really good day. I tried something different with my eating, upping the protein to 120 calories by including egg whites, tilapia or chicken breast at every meal. This also helped me stay satisfied and away from extra snacking. It was more protein than I am used to but unless this was fluke my body seems to like it. I will be doing the same today and hope to maintain that loss.
