Any of those while in a deficit.
None of them while in deficit.
I personally drink a lot of peppermint tea but that's to settle IBS it has zero effect on my weight loss.40 -

None and any. Tea doesn't really do anything for weight loss, but if there is a particular tea you like that replaces higher calorie drinks, then yeah, it could help you stay within your calories.26

Tea has zero effect on weight loss.17

The tea that you don't drink?
The tea that is lower calories than another choice of beverage?
The tea with negative calories? (Shame there is no such thing.)
The tea that gives you diarrhoea? (Not really the kind of weight most people want to lose.)14 -
Where did you hear that tea helps with weight loss? In what way do you think it helps?
Weight loss comes from a calorie deficit - no individual food or beverage causes it, or prevents it. It’s all about consuming less total calories than you burn and a balanced, varied, nutrition, satisfying, enjoyable diet is the best thing you can strive for not look for gimmicks.17 -
Technically you could look for a fairly caffeinated one to help your metabolism slightly, but overall, like has been said many times before - none will actively help you.
If you're short any nutrients, you can try to find one that will supplement that. Just don't add sugar / sugar replacement in it.34 -

Can you explain me how green tea would help you with your weight loss if the rest of your diet is garbage?12 -
Tea that does not have sugar added is very, very low calorie with some caffeine probably. Pick a flavor you like. Drinking tea will not make a significant difference in weight loss vs drinking other very low/no calorie drinks. If drinking more water or tea helps you personally eat less than it could be helpful for your weight loss.
For weight loss you need a calorie deficit. Just eat the amount of calories MFP tells you to eat to lose weight.5 -

Slimming Teas and Detoxing Teas are a weight loss marketing gimmick. First of all, you have to be 'Toxed' to be detoxed and the body's organs are highly efficient at removing toxins or else we wouldn't be around.
I'm a tea drinker but I do it for the water. I get weary of plain, tap water.
Weight loss is caused by our food management plan. I call MFP MY POSITIVE FOOD MANAGEMENT PLAN. I eat what I want and move how I choose. It works but I will keep drinking green teas, matchas, calli tea, irish breakfast tea...cold or hot. I make my own fruit infused cold brewed teas for the summer with my infuser container. Any kind of tea will work. No special tea bags are needed. Throw in your tea bags, fruit and water in and put in the fridge. Try it for variety.

I’ve been drinking diet soda and coffee with artificial sweeteners for decades. It most decidedly does NOT turn my poop purple.

I wish, can you imagine the awesome threads we'd have if it did?
ETA: Staying on the OP's topic, tea can be delicious but does not cause weight loss. If you can replace sugary drinks with it, it can help you save calories for more food. That's it.13 -
My answer is hibiscus and passionfruit tea with 1/2 teaspoon of honey.
Not lately, more a summer thing for me.
But I drank that ( and logged the calories ) and I achieved my goal so it must be the answer.
Ps: lots of diet soda too, but no purple poop.

HAHAHA! That''s the funniest thing I've heard in a long time!1 -
All tea is good for weight loss if you are drinking it instead of eating. Don’t add sugar or honey.4

If you’re replacing juice or soda with tea any tea will help you lose weight because it’s less calories.
I drink a lot of ginger tea in the evenings. Ginger can help inflammation and aid digestion so while the tea itself doesn’t magically make me weigh less it does help me feel better to reach my goals. Sometimes I switch to a licorice root tea too because it’s a near zero calorie option to help with sweet cravings after I’ve eaten my calories for the day.4 -
The tea you drink without scones, cookies, or other high callow nutrition food?!

I drink tea almost every night. I was putting 2 to 3 tsp of sugar in it. That's 8 to 12 grams of sugar. It's not so much what type of tea, but what you are putting in it. Tea was the fist thing I cut sugar out of. Get the flavored tea bags, (not any of the already made tea, you may as well get a soda). That's the only way you will be able to get use to not having sugar in your tea. IT IS WORKING FOR ME. In addition to using myfittnesspal to watch what I eat.4

Ya, I tapered down to 1/2 teaspoon of sugar per cup.
Except for Thai iced tea. On the rare occasions that I make that, I bring on the sugar. Nom nom nom.1 -

What's working is taking in fewer calories than you burn.7 -
Do those slimming teas act like a laxative or diuretic? Those might cause temporary weight loss, but it is not what you are looking for.0
