My goal is to average 92 miles every week in June. July and August will bump up to 100. Why 92? Because that's what I need to get to my 2018 goal of 3000 miles.

it is easy, you just press the capture button. That picture is actually a capture post ride off the video using vlc. A cyclic is probably overkill if you don't want a constant ride capture camera. I have a gopro session which I use when on holiday, the gopro is also easy to remove from the mount if you happen to want to take shots that are not pointing where the bike is and easy to mount on the helmet if you want.1 -

Thanks! I definitely want video for "just in case" but probably won't keep most of the files. I tried using a go-pro, but the vibration was bad unless I used a back-pack strap mount. That works great, but I don't always wear a backpack. Short battery life, too. Yeah, I think I want to save up for a Cycliq...0 -

Jumping in late this June. I have only been tracking time/mileage for about a week. I gave up all apps about 3 years ago and traded them in for a cheap bike computer and loud music. I bought a new bike (Jamis Renegade) and my oldest son "claimed" my old bike (Jamis Allegro Sport - hybrid) with the bike computer. Back to RunKeeper until I get a new bike computer.
All of my cycling is on the KATY trail with a little road time thrown in when convenient.

I am also jumping in late, I had a great week about 100 km road biking though interrupted by sinusitis / tooth pain. I track with my Garmin Vivoactive watch and synch with Strava, which is kind of cool, is used by most cyclists here in Panama where I live (mostly). 60 and 80 km the two prior weeks, and an average of 8 km running, about 5 km swimming (2 swims of 2.5 km). I struggle with overtraining and feeling sick/exhausted, but keep working on finding the best balance.

A week without any cycling for me.
Holiday on the island of Sal in Cape Verde and really no roads I would want to ride on and the few mountain bikes for hire were just awful. Even the exercise bike in the gym was broken.
Plenty of walks on the beach gave my ankles and calves good workout though.1 -

Participated in the #swiftcampout and went bike camping this weekend. It was nothing but fun and the weather couldn't be beat.

Wow! I'm glad I found this thread. I started it in June of 2012 and wrote the original opening post, except the last paragraph. Then I got cancer and got busy and got bad joints and had several surgeries that kept me off of my bike. I took my first ride in 2 years this morning, 10.3 miles. Keep pedaling. Thank you for keeping my thread going when I couldn't!7

12.5 miles today. That was seriously humiliating. I rode down to the duck pond and back. I used to be able to get down there in 20 minutes. This time, it took me almost an hour, one way, due to slow riding and rest stops. Plus I had to walk two very small hills (that was because I couldn't remember how to work my gears, I made it up the last Hill). The ride back was much faster and it was the way with the up hills. I have to remember, I'm rebuilding, not comparing myself to who I used to be.😳5

12.5 this morning. I did the same ride as yesterday. Today wasn't about speed, it was about staying in the saddle. I did it! No breaks (except a 3 song walk at the pond) and no hill walking.2

I just bought a road bike last weekend and I am a total beginner, but my goal is to ride 3 days per week right now. There is a nice flat trail not far from my house, and I am hoping to check out others in the area as well. (It is paved so I guess you would call that 'road' miles?)
6/23 - 2ish miles of hills near my house which was awful, but I was excited to try the bike!
6/25 - 7 miles
6/27 - 9 miles
Oh, ETA- I am 5'1'', I went to 3 different bike shops and no one had a bike small enough for me... I ended up buying this one from an 11 year old girl who outgrew it LOL2 -

I’m 5’3” and I’ve had to order all my bikes because the bike shops don’t stock our size!2 -

It was Zwift's flat Richmond route and I was going to ride it as a casual ride ... but there were these sprints ...
I hit a power there that I didn't think was possible for me!!
