A few months ago I donated several pairs of slacks and jeans saying "I will never get into these again.", now when I walk my shorts, jeans and slacks slide down... and I just started MFP.
... and "damn it, no more belt holes, better get a nail and make some more holes. " (I wonder if I can get the belt to wrap around to the back.17 -
That fat drops in odd ways. I noticed a difference in my hips the other day- left side has dropped noticeably more fat than the right. Eventually it will even out. Just a great reminder that the body has its own agenda when it comes to picking which fat it burns first. (I giggle at articles that claim they know the secret to targeting fat loss in specific areas.)
My fat seems to drop from top to bottom. I've noticed my backfat being considerably smaller, as well as ther layer on my ribs (I have ribs, people!), but my hips and my *kitten* are just as fat as ever.

That is one of the best moments.
This one just dawned on me -The moment you realize you don't hear that *schwip schwhip* noise of the jeans rubbing against your thighs as you walk. Like I feel my thighs touching when I walk, but they aren't rubbing.
EDIT: Wait I lied! .. Sort of. I still hear the noise but it's mostly my knees now, lol. And also my thighs rub, but not as hard as they once did, lol. Still counts, I think. I believe this new pair of jeans I'm wearing will last more then a year before the inevitable thigh blow out if I keep this up. Maybe I'll blow out a knee this time instead, haha. My last ones died all at once and were less then a year old. All ripped in the thighs.
I'm naturally curvey so I've come to accept that there will always be some thigh rubbing regardless, what doesn't help though it trousers made of loud material!! I have a pair of work trousers that make so much noise when I walk feel like the whole building can hear me coming!!!

That you lose your built in food tray, do you rest your plate / food on your belly when not eating at the table? That will change.16

That you can lose fat from your nose! I had to get my glasses adjusted so that my bifocals would stay in the right place.15

I no longer sweat like crazy when outside in extreme heat. I can now walk for 30 minutes outside in 95 degree weather and only sweat a tiny bit. I would always be drenched at my highest weight.28

That booth seats are too far away from the table. I complained to my other half the other day that I had to scoot forward in my seat to not spill my dinner as there was too much room, he laughed and said that it’s just I don’t fill it as much these days29

I just went through my closet and tried on a bunch of things that I bought that had never fit. I was so excited to be wearing a new pair of capris to work today!
However, they are going directly in the "to donate" bin when I get home for this exact reason. I have never had such a LOUD pair of work trousers. I think it must be the cheap fabric or something. I am embarrassed to walk to the restroom or lunchroom! Also, they are cut very high in front (like up over my bellybutton) and low in back. The final straw is they have no pockets. I had bought them for a work trip last year that never happened, and then they didn't fit anyway. Now that they fit, they are too annoying to ever wear again.28 -

This reminds me of those wind-breaker track suits that were popular in the 90's. There was NO sneaking around in those bad boys. I'm glad they've never made a come back, lol. I'm hoping my new jeans take longer to wear out then my last few pair have! Less then a year, thigh blow out. And too high up the crotch to make into cut-off shorts too. BOO. Congrats on being able to wear new sized pants though! Even if they were annoying.9 -

Same here! I sweat way more now. (lower end of healthy as opposed to high) As soon as I begin doing physical activity it comes pouring out. My body is too good at temperature regulation, lol. Just walking in 95 degrees I would be drenched. Very interesting how different it is for different people.9 -
* That when you lose weight, your eyes actually look bigger.
* Losing weight helps you sleep better, but the extra energy you get may make actually falling asleep harder!
* For a long time, people you see every day might not notice your weight loss. Don't let lack of compliments/comments derail you!
* Buying new shoes is an expense you weren't expecting!

I'm sure that this has been mentioned already but, the fact that often you will look worse before you look better!
At my starting weight my belly was big but it was tight and smooth. Now a little over halfway to goal the fat in my belly has gotten soft and kind of flabby/loose. BUT while I don't look like I would like to look when naked I look WAY better clothed than I did 32lbs ago!26 -

Oh no, I'm fine. I'm very happy in where I am right now. A little over dramatic, but I'm good. I was just expecting to be happier and excited about reaching a mini target, but actually it doesn't really seem to effect me in that way at all.

That your veins start showing in your arms and neck. Probably not a bad thing....
Also, like the above mentioned, i've lost about 40 pounds and i'm super jiggly and loose in my upper body.
That there are weeks where you do great, and not lose a single pound...23 -

Unfortunately, can confirm. One of my mates is about the fittest person I know (his second job is a fitness instructor) and, as soon as it gets above 25 degrees C, it's sweat-mageddon for him.7 -

Just gonna disagree here.
Been heavy and light, up and down over two decades and I am always happier at the lighter weights.
Feel better, healthier, more energetic and yes happier.
Get lazy and gain weight and the happy scale decreases.
You would think that with all that positive energy at a lower weight, I would be able to not gain it back.
But that is the feast / famine condition of humans for eons now so I’m not stressing about that.
Life, as in good times and bad times happens to us all, all the time.
But that is not related to weight (unless you don’t have the heart attack because you are no longer 500#)
That is a happy outcome.
Still, thin people have heart attacks but at least you know it was not because you let the weight pack on.
Happiness is a state of mind but both a 100lb loss or a 10lb loss can definitely affect the happy meter.
Something that doesn’t change though is our own critical eye towards ourselves. The fact fact we can be overjoyed with something about ourselves and then in the next second find a fault that annoys us to no end.

Unfortunately, can confirm. One of my mates is about the fittest person I know (his second job is a fitness instructor) and, as soon as it gets above 25 degrees C, it's sweat-mageddon for him.

I don't think I sweat more but...(keeping your mind out of the gutter) I do notice sweat in areas I didn't notice it before. Maybe I had more surface area for the sweat to dissipate, there is less surface area so the sweat collects.7

I soak shirts and my hair when I exercise, especially in the summer. I am going out to get a couple of more shorts and shirts today because I am doing laundry so often.9
