Hi, I fell off during Round 45 when we went out of town for the last few days and now I'm starting this one late.
Day/Weight/Comment
7/07 - No Scale
7/08 - No Scale
7/09 - 191.9
7/10 - 189.9 - first day on LCHF and that water weight dropped right off. It’s a hard transition thou. I’m feeling drained already from the carb withdrawals.
7/11 - 188.8 - Still feeling the side effects from the carb withdrawals, but it's nice to see the scale moving even if its water weight.
7/12 - 187 - I’m loving these water weight drops. It’s motivating seeing the number go down. Added bonus, I woke up this morning not feeling like death. Hoping to have the keto flu behind me!
7/13 - 185.5 - So this is the lowest I've been since May, which is great, but I need to remember that the weight loss isn't going to last at the same speed and that's ok. I just need to stay motivated.

July is the month that I will assess what foods I can eat, once in a whi!e, outside of keto. I do not expect any loss of weight. If I eat something that makes me gain or not feel well, then "OFF WITH ITS HEAD! Lol, no, but definitely off of my foods list.
My name is Tish.

•7/7 - 192.2
•7/8 - 192.6 - I guess I'll be seeing every increment of 192 this challenge. Although, after what I ate today, I expect to see up to 194. I enjoyed my son's Belgian waffles again today. I planned for 2 and thats what I ate at a cost of over 130 grams of carbs, 110 net carbs. EGADS!
•7/9 - 192 - Ended up being 135g carbs / 112g net after eating some green beans for dinner.
•7/10 - 192 - A normal high carb day for me on keto yesterday, 44g, 41 net. Salad greens, lime juice for my water, salsa and a few tablespoons of crispy red peppers as a salad topping.
•7/11 - 191.6 - Oh my, what a surprise! I thought my scale would read 192.4 for sure (I think that's one I skipped) or 193 upwards to 194. Yesterday, I kept the children while my DIL worked. It was the usual busy, fun chaos and I did manage to eat breakfast. I even ate a small peach and several strawberries. 35 net carbs for the day. No second meal for me though (peanut butter to the rescue) and not enough water until after they left. I weighed 5 times and the averaged total was 191, so I chose the number I saw twice. Maybe I will see an increase tomorrow.
•7/12 - 191.6 - Okay. Yesterday carbs were salad and a half cup of watermelon. 35g, 31 net carbs. I had to run errands and that always alters my eating plan later in the day. I ate dinner a little later than usual. I cut back the watermelon from a full cup and did not eat guacamole that I had in my food diary. I had no appetite for it.
•7/13 - 191.4 - BMI hovering above overweight. Another busy day yesterday, so I had to revise my food plan. Too much prep between my dinner and DH & DS's dinner. I just ate what they ate keto - ized 53g carbs, 37g net carbs. Lemon juice, celery, a roma tomato, 1/4 cup cantaloupe, and salad greens. Retaining some fluid today, fingers are stiff and my problem knee feels a bit tight.

7/07- 231.4 Pleasantly surprised I’m holding steady from yesterday. NSV- Did great at the wedding. Was careful how much I ate for dinner and ate enough of the cake to appreciate the taste of it. Saw an acquaintance I hadn’t seen in 2 months and she told me I was looking good. She’s very PC so she wouldn’t come straight out and say “You’ve lost some weight.” Nice way to start the round.
7/08- 231.8 No explanation for the bump except maybe some GI issues. Good food day yesterday. Family event today = loads of food. Aiming for good food choices.
7/09- 232.4 my scale seems to like this number. Disheartened that the numbers are going the wrong way. I did everything I was supposed to do this weekend. I was especially proud since I had two social events and I felt I did well at both.
7/10- 231.4 I feel like the scale and I are subjects of a Katy Perry song. At least it’s down to this round’s SW... for now.
7/11- 230.4 Starting to question the accuracy of my scale. Lots of .4s logged. Regardless though, there’s a pep in my step today.
7/12- 231.4 Why???????!!!!!!!!???????!!!!!!
7/13- 230.0- The scale was a flirt and flashed 229s for a bit. Made my heart skip a beat. What a tease!

7/07: 188 Dessert! Strawberry shortcake - planned and delicious. Chocolate bar and other random snacks not planned and not so delicious. Impulse control gets pretty poor when I am short of sleep. Will need to work on that today.
7/08: 186.6 Hoping that is the end of 188's Going for an "afternoon tea" today Not sure how to track it but will try to make estimates.
7/09: 187.8 expected that - and the scones were delicious!! Going to begin the day with a long walk.

@GrandmaJackie You may know this already so I apologize in advance. Keto strips are not an effective gauge of ketosis if you are fat/keto-adapted. They only measure the ketones your body is wasting. I bought a meter several months ago. It provides accurate readings. It also does glucose, hematocrit, and hemoglobin with a different strip!
Oh, and it took me 4 months to get through the 140’s! FRUSTRATING!2 -

7/11-192.2-Nice..didn't expect that. Just been eating good... I need to keep that up. Gym workout was back and walked the dog 20 min. Hope to get more in tonight of cardio. (didn't get it in last night. ) DON'T MAKE EXCUSES MAKE PROGRESS!

7/11: 167.0/Ran last night and this morning. Had to do lunges as part of strength training today, my thighs will be screaming tomorrow. Tomorrow is rest day.
7/12:166.8/Rest day and getting together with friends = anxiety over calorie consumption mixed with I don’t want to get mental about what I am eating and let it ruin my day. 7/07 160.2 Wow I am super stoked to start with this weight!! Finally got my parents home yesterday after a long 3 weeks of caregiving, celebrated last night with a cocktail, hot tub, time with my hubby and light dinner. I drank a lot of water yesterday and just snacked rather than my big salad, not meeting my macros but happy with this loss! Now to stay the course as I head into the weekend.
7/08 162.6 Cocktail and fried calamari, Fiber One bars give me a stomache ache, became a Granny to twins...tummy hurts still!! No more Fiber One for me, water before I eat, yardwork today. Tomorrow's weigh in will be great, I am sure of it!! I have lost almost 10 lbs and it really feels good. I lose the tummy bloat first and that's what makes me feel fat vs. thin, so success!
7/09 163.4 WEIGH IN DAY Well, this gain is expected after my indulgence the day before. It took 2 days to show up, since yesterday I was on plan. I am confident I will drop back down this week.
7/10 162 Up and down and up and down, stay the course to reach your goal.
7/11 161.4 As I said.
7/12 161 Yay! The trend is in the right direction. Would love to see the 150's again. I know I really need to start adding some exercise, that will give me more motivation, energy and toning.
7/13 160.8 Spent most of the day fasting but then ate all my quota by bedtime. A good lesson on ignoring cravings and the pangs of hunger.

07/07 - Saturday - 198.0 ouch. Feeling bloated and slow and tired. All this sugar and salt has taken its toll on me and I'm ready to eat better today. I ate some breakfast and made lunch and plan to bring snacks to a friend's this afternoon. Also got a big water bottle. Life is hectic right now but I'm happy in each moment while still looking forward to the future.
07/08 - Sunday - 197.2 - quick check in. going to look at a house. another crazy day and I'm grateful I can keep up!
07/09 - Monday - 197.0 - So we put in an offer on the house we looked at yesterday. Super exciting! Fingers crossed all day long to see if they accept. And the washing machine we were going to pick up was a bust. The day was nothing like I planned and we ate pizza for dinner - oh well! Today is well planned at this point - so we'll see how it goes This is a new week and I plan to get back to the basics - last week went a little off the rails, and I've got lots of things upcoming that could be excuses. I also realized I tend to go crazy in July and December - so I'm giving myself some grace rather than beating myself up for it and moving forward with baby steps! DH and I were talking this morning and realized we've made some huge changes in the past 3 years - quit drinking, quit smoking, started saving for a house, stopped going out every weekend. We made all those changes slowly, but deliberately. Reminding myself I AM CAPABLE if I just keep swimming.
07/10 - Tuesday - 195.8 - Nice! Busy as ever and incredibly prone to distraction today as we wait to hear if our offer was accepted. No breakfast smoothie, and no ice in my ice coffee this morning that is life these last few days but I'll make the best of it! I did manage to pack of few snacks at least and take meat out of the freezer to grill for dinner. Onward!
07/11 - Wednesday - 193.0 - WOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!!! Finally! AND! Offer accepted yesterday!!! It was a whirlwind to say the very least so I was on the low side of my calories yesterday. I ate a nice dinner even though I wasnt hungry because I knew the munchies would come late at night and try to sabotage me if I didnt! Feeling so freaking grateful to be on the road to a better me as we move closer and closer to our dream home every day too - which means babies and I need to be healthy for that to happen! Managing stress will be KEY over the next few weeks.
07/12 - Thursday - 192.4 - Okay I think this is the stress at this point. Three days of whoosh seems extreme but gosh darnit I'm happy to see it. Eating has been good, even though I have NO appetite - moving lots -and trying to stay focused and organized - and also trying to get enough sleep! Phew! Checking in early here so I can focus on what needs to get done today.
07/13 - Friday - 192.0 - Another busy day yesterday. Didn't eat breakfast, not hungry. Minimal lunch, not hungry. Small dinner, not hungry. Realized I NEED TO EAT, so I had a slice of cheese and made a protein mug cake and had a popsicle. Given the last three days of no appetite I decided I need to eat anyway, so I made my breakfast smoothie today and I'm just starting on it now. I'm still not really hungry - this is foreign to me. I usually stress eat. I'm managing the stress pretty well too though I suppose - a lot more even tempered at least. It's Friday night with pasta on the menu tonight though so I know I'll be hungry for that, must not binge though! Have a great weekend everyone!

@mamasara2 , @no1racefan1 and @MadisonMolly2017 Another of those phrases that can be heard or “lip read” is ‘olive juice.’ My daughter used to say this to her toddler and I questioned her about it. Olive juice MFP pals!!
@puttyputty I blame it on fat fingers! Try leaving the decimal out of your weight. MFP doesn’t like it when you gain over 1,000# overnight! LOL
@beachbody4l WHOO HOO! Congrats!!3 -
Last round was tough, but I'm not sure why, honestly. I want to say there are just cycles of temptation, that they are always there, and that they sometimes just "get you." When I say that it feels like I'm not being fully accountable to my addiction, though.

7/7: 196.6 (+0.2), BF% = 15.9 (no change). I just kept eating. I need to listen to my body. I'm also bring avoidant here, the only place I am accountable.
7/8: 193.6 (-3.0), BF% = 15.6 (-0.3). Likely a DROOSH™. I had 3 drinks yesterday with my wife; all were Keto-friendly. Lunch and dinner were healthy, and I didn't over-snack or over-eat. I was a bit light on water, though, so I might be dehydrated (with a lower weigh-in than reality). Seeing the scale move in the right direction is a good thing today for my psyche. I've been feeling pretty bleh overall emotionally. Work isn't fun. I haven't played basketball in more than a week. I need to get back in the gym to strengthen my knee so I can get back to basketball. I'll go tomorrow after work.
7/9: 192.8 (-0.8), BF% = 15.5 (-0.1). Still happy to see things moving in the right direction. I was a bit under on both calories and macros. I'm still not feeling steady, but I feel much better than I did a few days ago.
7/10: 192.0 (-0.8), BF% = 15.4 (-0.1). I'm really encouraged by the last few days. I've been staying away from sweets, I've been eating within my macros... I've been doing everything well except keep up a consistent water intake. I'm rethinking my caffeine abstinence; apparently coffee is REALLY good for you. I hate the taste, but I'm thinking of trying to do some bulletproof nonsense (I'll find a recipe), because I don't want to die earlier than all you coffee drinkers! I didn't go to the gym today, but I'm going to do it today. I'm going home, cutting my hair (my head is not quite shaved, but I like it really, really short), and then heading straight to the gym. My wife works late tonight, so it will work out just fine. While I'm glad that I'm coming down from the ledge, I recognized these past few days as exactly the type of discouragement I've felt in the past that has led me directly to giving up. I REALLY don't want to give up. Being healthy and fit is REALLY important to me. I'm proud of myself, in that I never really considered giving up. This feels sustainable. Now I just need to keep the needle moving. I think I've decided that I'm going to take a break from weight loss when I hit 185, and try maintenance for a few weeks (with consistent exercise). I've never tried to do a "body recomp," but I'd like to try to lower my BF% (and know that it's not a product of simply losing weight).
7/11: 192.2 (+0.2), BF% = 15.4 (no change).
7/12: 190.8 (-1.4), BF% = 15.3 (-0.1).11 -

@marcvb35 To make a lasting change, you need to think of this a “way of eating” you can sustain rather than a diet you go on and off. Yes, there will be a periodic occasion for which you will splurge but going on and off (work week/weekend,) IMHO, will not lead to long range success.
@tiabirdie56 I typed this once and seem to have lost it so hope I’m not repeating myself. I am also skinny-fat, the result of not going to the GYM in over 6 years and finding our “fitness room” seriously lacking and re-losing over 40 pounds. I need to not be so lazy and get my rear out the door and up the road to a REAL gym! Having said that, does anyone have experience with Planet Fitness? My daughter and another friend seem to like it and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. (Retired and limited income, you know.)
@abowersgirl Increasing your water consumption might increase your loss. I drink at least a gallon a day but I live in the desert and temps over 100* and generally super low humidity do dry us out. My husband is quite proud of himself when he gets over 1/2L!3 -

I'll take it and be happy for today but not sure how accurate it is. Going to the lake today so I will have to be very mindful of what I'm eating and to make sure I'm continuously drinking my water. I tend to snack on everything at the lake and slack on water, got to change that habit.
7/08 - Camping, no weigh in.
7/09 - 152.4 -
7/10 - 152.4 - Hoping for a drop soon, scale first showed 151.4 and I got really excited but the next two times it showed 152.4 do that's probably more accurate to what my weight is. Got a morning and evening workout in yesterday, doing 2 different challenges. 30 Day Challenge and an 8 Week Challenge, looking forward to seeing some results.
7/11 - 152.4 - Did both challenges yesterday, my legs are definitely feeling it. Yoga today will be perfect for my sore muscles. Hoping to see a drop any day now. I wanted to be out of the 150s by Saturday for a big party we're going to but don't believe that will be happening.
7/12 - 151.4 - finally, hooray! Now to continue right on out of the 150s. Did both challenges again yesterday plus got in an hour walk, had plenty of water and ate good. Just need to keep it up, it's working even if I don't see a drop right away.
7/13 - 151.2 - not as big of a drop I would have liked to see today but I'm happy. I did pass by my round goal so there's that achievement
