not sure why but i feel really accomplished with this pose. it's not the hardest pose or stretchiest but i just keep looking at it and feeling good about my growth with aerial yoga
You look great up there. Love these types of workouts. It's not for everybody, but it looks really cool and super fun. (And difficult). Good for you!

@VUA21 @workinonit1956 Glad to know this is normal. People keep telling me how much smaller I am, but I'm having a lot of trouble seeing it because I am still obese. I guess my perception will catch up with my loss eventually!7

Been on that walk of shame; it's painful. This is an awesome NSV, congrats!3 -
Today makes 5 months of maintenance, staying below a BMI of 25. Sort of scale related, but the victory is more about the calendar; I have not maintained a big loss this long in ~35 years.27

I wanted a Superdry coat, but knew they come up small and I was always way too big for one. Today, to take advantage of the sale, I went into store thinking I’d buy myself a L or XL ladies coat, and emerged with a M! With room for a jumper underneath!15

Ahhhh, good ol' NSVs! So today, I'm faced with some pretty rough work shifts. I was feeling especially lazy in getting dressed, so I grabbed a pair of pants from the "it fits" pile. I'm going through my morning routine and these pants are driving me crazy. I couldn't figure it out... like every time I went to bend to get something, I was bending out of them, or that's what it felt like. These are skinny jeans too, which usually means a tighter fit.
Whatever. I'm lazy and my bum isn't showing (I hoped), and so I head downstairs. The cats (my joy and life) are always wanting to play as I get ready for work. So I threw Winter's ball for her to fetch and I think to myself, "THESE PANTS ARE AWFUL WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM." It's about when Winter is coming back with her ball that I realize.
The pants were too big. Now, I'm lazy with a capital L and if I can get away with not doing something, I won't. But I realized that the jeans I had on were too big enough that if I kept wearing them, I'd have an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction at work. Not only were they big in the legs, but the crotch was pretty far low on my thighs and the things kept sliding off hips, exposing my oh-so-lovely self-made rubber duckie floatie roll of pudge.
So I go back upstairs (gah! really?!) and grab another pair of pants (incidentally, the dragonpants).
Two things I noticed: the pair I had on that were too big were the pair I was shimmying into for my Japan trip in March/April. The dragonpants? No longer any sort of tight. Them suckers glided on like butter on bread.
PANTS WIN.
A few more pounds/inches lost, and I'll be hunting up the next dragonpants. I need a few more levels under my belt before then... and maybe invest in some belts. lol35 -
And the dragonpants fall! YAY @dhiammarath !6

@solieco1 It was a pretty great feeling this morning, ngl!4 -
@dhiammarath Great nsv- so glad you avoided workplace wardrobe malfunction - rubber duckie must be deflating - it can no longer hold the pants up!3

My nav today - somebody called me SKINNY! Good Grief. ME? I haven't been called skinny since I was 10. Ok, I know I'm not actually skinny but at least someone (who I haven't see in probably a year) noticed a big enough weight loss to feel moved to say it.17
-
@motivatedmartha That's one of the best feelings in the world: when you get things that remind you how far you've come! And yes, the rubber ducky is getting smaller. I WILL DEFLATE THAT SUCKER EVENTUALLY.5

I am pretty sure they are vanity sized, but I bought a S men's shirt tonight. I am actually happy with M but it still made me feel good.7

@VUA21 That is AWESOME!!! And it looks perfect on you!! And it's so pretty!! GREAT job!
Someday, I'm going to get up the courage to wear a dress!4 -
Had a couple yesterday (one kind of the result of the other):
- I tried on my motorbike trousers for the first time in about 2 months (we're going away for the weekend, and I'm prepping). They were definitely a bit big for me (I now need braces to stop them from falling down). However, the biggest thing about that is that when I bought them, way back in February, I had to take out the extra little bit of padding that sat on the hips, as they dug into my sides when I was straddling the bike. And they were literally the only trousers that actually fit me at all comfortably, so that was the compromise I had to make. I have short legs, and being short and wide does not give you a big choice on gear. Well, I put them back in yesterday. Because I could spread my legs easily without them pulling and being uncomfortable. In addition, there's straps to make the leg more fitted above the knees and they're as tight as it can go, but I'd like them to go a little tighter. I am aware that I'm wearing without my lining, so in the winter it'll be tighter in my trousers, but even so, there's so much more space in them that I actually feel like I'm wearing the size too big.
- After that I went to Sainsburys and while surfing the sale rack I found the same pair of jeans I'm currently wearing (and am feeling a little big on me right now), but in the size down. So considering the above, and just for interest I thought I'd try them on. I bought my current jeans in about March time and they were always a little bit baggy because it was comfortable around the waist, but I thought that was the style of them. Now they're very baggy, but I still love them.
However: not only was I able to actually put the smaller size on and button them up. They actually looked good. They were probably a little tighter than I'd like if I was to have bought them now, but mostly because I've got used to the oversized/baggy jeans fit as opposed to anything else. Very happy.10 -

Buy them now!
Jeans are crazy hard to get right and shops tend to stop selling the same style at random times etc. I wish I had bought the size down at Asda when I bought my current jeans - now they have stopped doing bootcut! gah

@Deviette Those are great NSVs!! The results of hard work, congrats!
I agree with @beerfoamy -- NEVER PASS UP GOOD FITTING JEANS. They are almost as impossible to catch as a rare unicorn! XD XD XD. My favorite pair of jeans stopped making my cut and now I'm sad. Although, I found sparkle-y jeans that I've gravitated to instead because (as my husband says)... I'm a fish, lol.6 -
A very good looking lady at work hasn't seen me in a couple of years. At the start of a meeting yesterday she introduced herself to me (we've met at least 10 times in the past). She flirted with me throughout the day (I'm married so I didn't encourage her) and this morning a co-worker of mine said this lady asked her who I was and that I was cute! My co-worker informed her it was me and she didn't believe her. 😂31

I know, but I am cheeeaaap. Although I really don't need any more bottom halves, it's tops that I never buy any of (no matter how many shopping trips I go out to buy tops on). And I'm just under half way to my goal weight so I don't want to risk dropping another size and having two pairs of jeans that don't fit properly2 -

Darn sensemaking!
But this is why I have to be reined in by the husband. Someone has to be cost effective when I get into "BUT OMFG IT FITS IT FITS IT FITS."
I have to be told: "You're not a cat. Just because it fits doesn't mean you sits." XD XD
Well, it's still good to know the next size down fits well!8 -

That made me smile! Great NSV I trust she's at least a little shame-faced. 🤣🤣2 -
I logged the steak fajita I had for breakfast. Normally I would try to start again tomorrow, but I’ve got to get in the habit of logging.18

Hey that is a big one! Well done. I didnt have full control until i started logging ALL the bad with the good. Its like cheating yourself - you've made a good move there.11 -
I finished radiation yesterday, placing cancer firmly in the rear view mirror. Losing all the weight probably made it more detectable (super morbid obesity definitely increased the risk) and being at a much healthier weight made the fight much easier. Keep working towards your health goals!73

@brookielaw - That's a powerful NSV!! Congratulations and good health for the future X1

I have been increasing the incline on the treadmill, that is no big deal, what shocked me is I am increasing the speed as well. I didn't think I would be able to walk that fast for an hour.... on an incline.
My heart rate has decreased as I am on the treadmill as well.27 -

@dhiammarath
Also, it's not stretchy material. I agree, the dress is very pretty, which is why I bought it even though I didn't fit into it when I bought it.
You'll get there, and totally rock pretty dresses!

I'm a top-heavy lady, so I carry most of my stubborn weight in my chest, shoulders, and upper arms. This makes sleeves a pain, and most are tight even when the rest of the shirt/dress fits perfectly. I put on one of my favorite dresses today and the sleeves actually hung where they were supposed to (over the elbow) instead of constantly shifting up because they were too tight. I'm glad I'm finally shifting the stubborn weight in a good spot.19
