Don't see anything wrong with eating things like that once in a while if it fits into your calorie goal.
Though would it be a good idea to make it your only source of food no.
Not because of losing weight more to do with the other health problems you may end up with.4 -

I dont think anyone was seriously suggesting making chocolate cake or 'things like that' your only source of food, were they??

Disapproving Doggie.
This is just the sweetest little face. Those paws are huge!
Yes it is my favourite photo of her - she was only about 7 months old then. (is now nearly 11 years)
Paws arent really huge, must be perspective of camera - she is actually quite a small dog - chihuahua x fox terrior.

This is Abby. She spends half her life judging me, and a solid 1/3 of her life begging for salmon, turkey, cereal, or vodka.
She looks like she could be Ashley's sister! For a minute I was wondering how you got a picture of my cat Also, your cat loves cereal and vodka...she'll fit right in here.5 -

@paperpudding i guess i touched on a sensitive subject.
Looking at your diary your a prime example of why i said what i said, your eating more snacks then your breakfast an your dinner combined.
You almost ate as much for your biggest meal as compared to your junk food.

If given the opportunity, she will also take coffee, gin, and cosmos. My OldLadyGirlCat is such a lush.6 -

I'm not a fan of creeping diaries. It's none of my business. And it's none of yours. Public slagging of people's diaries is exactly why this thread was started, so I guess it seems we've come full circle.
At least we know who's wearing the superior slacks.29 -

I had McDonalds today. First time in 4 weeks, and it fit my calories for the day. Although I'm going to have to eat a steak for supper to make up for the protein. I'm not sure how I'll suffer through that. :laugh:12 -

lantana411 wrote: »If you stay within your calories but drink/snack them away instead of eating meals is it dieting?
In short? Yes.
So long as I'm within my calories, honestly I'll let myself eat whatever the heck I want. I'll still be losing weight. Plus, the second you start looking at it as a "diet" rather than a lifestyle change, that's the moment most people fail - they lose the weight, they stop "dieting", and then they put it all back on because "Woohoo! My food isn't restricted any more!"
I'd much rather log that I ate McDonalds and chocolate cake and that was all and stayed within my calories than eating a spoonful of yoghurt over a celery stick with a teaspoon of honey just because some diet told me to. It's much more realistic, and easier to maintain in the long run.12 -
Yeah, I just eat what I want. I don't always clock in with a deficit, but this way I keep myself accountable. It's not a mystery why I'm gaining weight or losing it this way.8

People look at other diaries and make judgments all the time on here. Just because it's not what you want to hear or don't like it doesn't automatically mean she's coming from a mean place doesn't seem like that at all. If you take offence to it or feel some kind of way, that's a personal issue within yourself.32 -

They do? All the time, huh? If that were true, I doubt this thread would have gone past 2 or 3 pages.13 -
If it's not too late to reserve a seat in the handbasket, I make some mean fried chicken and latkes. Or, I've got two and a half bottles of got and some olives. I could also bring grapefruit juice if martinis aren't your style.
And if all that weren't enough, I'll also bring the Hoover that will automatically clean up the food for us.
Please do not give the Hoover chocolate, grapes, or garlic though.
