Stupid Advice That Everyone Gives

I'll start:
Scenario: Wendy lost weight. Suzy keeps bringing cupcakes to the office. Wendy perceives it as sabotge. Wendy complains on annonymous message board.
Pat Answer: Tell HR.
Reason why this answer is stupid: Wendy wants a promotion. HR isn't going to think of her as leadership potential if she can't handle petty grievances with one coworker.

Scenario: Every relationship problem that someone brings up
Pat Answer: Communicate.
Reason why this answer is stupid: If a wife asks a man what he thinks of her and he says, well, she's a nagging *kitten*, it will likely make her *kitten* iness worse.

I would be the worst (or maybe the best ) HR manager ever, because I would only have three answers to any given issue:
1. No.
2. Buck up and stop acting like a crybaby.
3. Rub some dirt on it.3 -

Who does this...most of us assume a week/year, etc. from now we will still be here and just live our day to day routine lives.4 -
