Brttny7979, first of all congrats on the weight you’ve already lost so far. When it comes to binging and feeling like you’re in a downward spiral I find it most helpful to focus on your mind game. It sounds cliché, but keeping a diary/log where you reflect on the dialog that goes on in your head before you start overeating can be helpful. An example would be: “I had a really stressful day at work, at least I can have (1500 cal)pizza” or “ I’ve already ruined my diet by binging the last couple of days, so I’m having pizza”. Afterwards you usually still feel the same [insert negative feeling] but bloated as well. Seeing this on paper helped to end my weight gaining period and I hope it can give you some inspiration.
Don’t be too hard on yourself and good luck on your journey😀4 -

Hello! I am joining the game a little late, but have been making slow progress since May. It it time to take the intensity up a notch, so here I am, joining the challenge (if you will have me).
Female - age 29
Height 5' 3"
Starting weight - 189.0 - Mary 2018
Goal weight 160 (for this phase)
9/11/2018 (weight 172.4)- I have been doing intermittent fasting since June and loving it. My problem is consistency. I tend to do really well for a week or two, then end up losing momentum. When I started in June I lost a bunch of weight and now my momentum has slowed. I find myself losing one or two pounds, here and there. My aim is to be more consistent and really evaluate why I am hitting "blocks".4 -
Hello ...
Male age 51
Height 5-9
Starting weight 270 March 2018
Current weight 205
Goal weight 165
I started the journey on keto up until about three weeks ago. Weight loss is finally starting to kick in again. I have started training for my first 5K, which I think has helped. I have tried to keep my daily calorie limit under 1,600. Before my grandmother passed away earlier this year, she was always telling me that I needed to lose weight. I like to think she is up there helping me on this journey.
I would love to hit my goal weight by the end of 2018.
Good luck to all!6 -
Hi everyone! This summer has been full of trips, not tracking my food, and loss of motivation. I started working out again a couple of weeks ago, which feels good, but I know nutrition is the key. I was so close to my ultimate goal before, so I'm hoping to get back there again!
Female - age 27
Height 5'6"
Starting weight - 197.6 - April 2017
Lowest weight - 153.8 - April 2018
Ultimate Goal Weight - 150
Goal by 12/31 - 155
Last Known Weight - 170.2 on 9/10.
I'm going to start with the goal of 1 lb per week, but I'm going to listen to my body, and if I feel deprived, I'll drop it down to .5 lbs/week. I'm hoping some of the 170 lbs is water weight from a carb-filled weekend. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, and I hope we all reach our goals!5 -

GW#2 99
I should reach my GW#1 by mid-November, and
I would like to maintain through the Holidays (Thanksgiving/Christmas/NYE).
GW#2 will be the next Challenge.
I am focusing on reducing body fat, shaping my booty, and achieving 8 pullups (current max is 7).
My workouts: weight-training, yoga, and volunteer farming.
Calories: ~1200-1500
Appreciate all help.
Thanks.4 -

9/13/2018 (Weight 170.3)- Intermittent fasting has been going well. I'm feeling strong and motivated. This loss is probably loss of water weight/ retention. Either way I am halfway there to September goal of losing 5 pounds.4 -
Hello!! I hope it’s not too late to join in. Having been off MyFitnessPal for a while, I feel like I am spiralling downwards again to weight gain, headaches and feeling lethargic all the time. Desperate to get back on track again.
Has anyone tried intermittent fasting? Thinking of giving it a go3 -

Welcome @NYCDutchess !
1. You can check First Page for some info...
2. You can weigh once a week
3. Make whatever timing will help you the most. (I set monthly goals. Post when I lose and check off each goal as I pass it)
4. The group creator posted his exercise schedule.

Welcome @amber22vanessa !!
I haven’t tried the intermittent fasting because I do better with meals every 3 to 4 hours but I know a lot of people on MyFitnessPal have done well with it.6 -

I finally broke thru my plateau - it was the second one this year. I had one in July and then one Aug/Sept. Both were over 30 days. I'm on a new diet plan. Day 6 for me and I've lost 3 pounds since starting. Woo hoo ! Hope to keep on the downswing.6 -

8/31: 178.6
9/8: 176.0
9/14: 177.2
I was under my calories all week and even saw 175.0 two days ago. However, I ate Mexican food last night. Not the best choice before weigh in because I retain water very badly with high sodium food, even though I was within my cals. I hope to see a drop next week.
