When thinking about is keto worth it the answer is yes because glucose is required to to cause most types of cancer to spread in my body. True Type 2 diabetes requires high levels of glucose to even develop. Heart diseases are are not associated with ketones but are associated with glucose.
Since Oct 2014 at the age of 63 when I switched from burning mainly glucose to mainly burning ketones my health has greatly improved.
Body pain management in the first 30 days was my first clue that the Keto WOE was preferred by my body. After six months on a Keto WOE my 30+ years of IBS left and has not been back. Blood pressure and glucose levels became normal are just a few reasons I plan to stay on a Keto WOE the rest of my life.17 -

Dear Suweet Baybee Jeebus. Stop. Please stop. Now I'm convinced you're just trolling to create drama. Go take a 1/4 mile walk. It'll be more productive than this.18 -

Not a single word of this is true.

This is wrong and flat out irresponsible to post these wild claims that suggest that a ketogenic diet will ward off cancer, diabetes and heart disease.16 -

So you're saying that if you never develop cancer, heart disease or diabetes it's because you eat keto? I could say the same because I drink coffee every day. Studies have shown that there are components of coffee that are good for your health, and may impact the chances of getting certain diseases. I think those "studies" are bs, but they are out there. I could further say this is only true for me because I have a unique physiology, and not for all the other people out there who drink coffee and yet become ill. But hey, try it! If you stay disease free you can thank me for sharing my knowledge. If you get sick, well, your body must be different than mine.
It only impacts you if you want to play out a narrative in your head that says ritualistic eating patterns ward off common and terrifying diseases, but repeating that narrative to vulnerable people as if it were truth is scaremongering. and irresponsible.9 -

Saying there is an association between glucose and heart disease is like saying there is an association between breaking a bone and drinking water. 100% of people on this planet have glucose in their bodies so of course this will also apply to everyone with cancer or heart disease.10 -
Published 23 June 2018 in journal of cardiovascular dieabetology. "Recently, two large randomized controlled trials which only included patients with underlying cardiovascular disease (CVD) or patients at high risk for CVD showed that two sodium glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT-2is) significantly reduced hospitalization for heart failure (hHF)".
Hey, maybe the amount of carbs (glucose) you consume can affect your risk of Heart failure if you have "underlying" cardiovascular disease, and you may have, but dont know it! Science still dosnt have all the answers so why trash Gale for her opinion. Her experience is that Keto has changed her life. My experience is that I now have more energy on low carb than I ever did on high carb, and a few other benefits as well. Dont knock it until youve tried it. It may not suit everyone but in our world where more and more people are overweight or obese, keto or low carb gets results, and fast. Plus its very easy to maintain.17 -
