when i went for a walk by the lake, the red maples were just bursting with color! the air was so still, the fallen leaves had that scent to them - and i was just filled with joy and gratitude

I've been laughing to myself all day thinking about our cub scout meeting last night, learning how to safely handle a pocket knife. One of the boys had lots of different scenarios in which maybe the rules wouldn't apply. My favorite way of him trying to get around the "put it away safely when you're finished with it" rule was him asking earnestly "What if when you're finished carving the wood and then a pit viper comes and tries to attack you?!"0
