Hi,
Saw this video and it talks about eating 36 eggs a day for 6-8 weeks is better than a cycle.
Could the pros shed some light please.

I hope this doesn't get deleted because I'd like to learn and a place where we can talk freely about stuff like this- they have "bro knowledge" well most of them.

This is actually the most detailed explanation I’ve heard about eggs and strength gains. I guess if 36 eggs fit your macros then go for it. The only thing I haven’t heard is to cycle off of eggs so I’m not sure if that’s really necessary. On the other hand, I don’t know anyone that eats that many eggs so hard to know. I know Dr. Jim Stoppani recommends a minimum of two eggs for strength gains every day but that only because everyone has different goals and needs to reach those goals. I eat 8 eggs almost every day and I know people that will have 12 or more. The gist of what the video talks about is not bro science. Regarding 36 eggs a day, however, I can’t say for sure, but likely excessive.8

If I actually started eating 36 eggs a day, my family would label me crazy and I'd be sent to "visit" someone. Could be a doctor, vodoo specialist, exorcist, etc
but I would still like to learn if there is any validity to it lol6 -
If I ate 36 eggs a day I'd be so constipated I'd explode.20

I usually eat 1 egg per day, but I'm having 2 today. Seems there must be some specific objectives for attempting something like that, but I don't think I'm in that category.0

While I don’t have time to watch the video at the minute I used to train in a gym where this guy ate a dozen eggs for breakfast. He done so as was a cheap way to get protein, not being funny but he was very flatulent and it was horrific, he didn’t seem to mind but everyone else did!13

They used to sell egg white protein powder.0

An intriguing concept and the science broached in the video makes sense. The macros of eating that many eggs (large eggs) aren't outrageous and I know there are other lifting/eating protocols that call for eating up to a dozen eggs/day for bulking.0

That dude from Beauty and the Beast Gustan (??) ate 4 dozen eggs a day, right?10

He was roughly the size of a barge! There we have it, it must work, Disney says so </thread>25 -

It's quite an oversimplification; sure, cholesterol is a precursor to testosterone, estrogen, & progestins but your liver generally produces about 75% of one's cholesterol (roughly 25% comes from diet). One can not selectively make dietary cholesterol preferentially synthesize testosterone over estrogen & progestin (these are not like strong acid, strong base reactions with near 100% dissociation). Furthermore, the HPT axis determines hormone equilibrium9

"36 Eggs per day better than a steroid cycle."
I'm neither a bro nor a scientist. Those caveats aside, aren't steroids so bad that anything is better than a steroid cycle?23 -
Depends on what they are used for, anabolic (performance enhancing) steroids are probably not good. There are others that are used medically.3

I used to eat 8-12 eggs a day when I was lifting heavy over the winter, and I was very lean and not very hungry with the macros coming out nicely.
But since I’m female with a smaller structure, 30 some eggs wouldn’t be necessary for me.
The benefit is that eggs are cheap, very versatile, and quick to cook.2 -
I'm really thinking about trying it out.
36 large eggs = 2500 calories. Basically 6 weeks x 7 days = $10 a day = $420 CDN
I'll add some veggies but as is - I can stand to lose another 3 kg or so and if I start eating 2600 cals a day I wonder if I'll end up getting toofat.
I'm 5'10 and 79.2 kg currently. I go to gym perhaps 3-4 times a week. 2 days full body and 2 days arms.2 -
Two words about this many eggs: egg farts.10

I had a period of my life eating 12 eggs/day (broke college student diet: eggs, cabbage, EVOO). Can't say I had any anabolic-androgenic steroid like effects (no noticeable gains or body composition changes); cholesterol ratios were high, but ratio was still good (HDL 100+mg/dL). Looking back, I really wish I had more lab data (other than lipid panel) to go off of (this is a current hobby of mine seeing how dietary changes affect/impact my lab work). Word to the wise, avoid "egg-***" based on the cooking method of the eggs (scrambled > boiled eggs)
Likely just an easier way to put on weight due to being calorically dense/easy to down & go into a surplus. I don't like eating eggs anymore mostly because the food volume is too low for the kcals provided (too easy to go over TDEE kcals)

Just a quick note to say that anabolic steroids can be and are used medically. It's not super common but it's also not uncommon depending on why they're being used. And yes, it is possible to get a TUE for them depending on why you've been prescribed them.1 -

Extremely rare in the States other than HRT...Oxandrolone is pretty close to last line for HIV-wasting; Stanazolol & Danazol etc. not used in anemia, hereditary angioedema, endometriosis, etc. due to a vast array safer alternatives.2 -

Avoid egg what? it has astrix sign after the word egg. Scrambled is better than boiled eggs that I understood but avoid egg**** what's behind those stars?4 -

I was specifically thinking about hormone replacement therapy. Testosterone essentially the standard medication for trans men (and boys who are aren't prepubescent). It's exceedingly common among FTMs who decide to medically transition. It's common enough that there are types of administration used in the US and a sixth that is used in much of Europe and is slowly started to be used in the US (among other places).0 -
Those Egg Council creeps got to you too?
I have no actual scientific information to contribute here regarding the topic, but I share the concern of others regarding eggs and digestive issues. Also, my gif is not working and now I am sad.

I see why someone would be eggstatic to avoid steriod, but I am not sure the diet is eggzactly what it's cracked up to be.10

If I ate 36 eggs a day, my gallbladder would become a raving lunatic ... actually ... maybe that's just the thing to set it off so badly I can finally get it removed ....
..... but on the other hand, I'm not that fond of pain ......4
