Last round was not a good one for me. I was not able to complete it. But this time I want to stay consistent! This will be my fourth round. I have ordered my Fitbit and waiting to get my hands on it! (I have a way too sedentary lifestyle)
Also planned to set mini goals from now on and try to acheive it in order to stay in track! My first mini goal for now is to reach 75kg before Nov 1st!
28yrs/F/5'1
HW : 80kg
SW : 78kg
CW : 76kg
GW for this round : 75kg (before Nov 1st)

10/25 - 76kg Taking it slow and steady. If my scale was not moving down as I expect it to be, I am not gonna get discouraged this time! Because last round I gave up due to this reason!
10/26 - 76kg. No worries! At least the scale didn't move up!
10/27 - 75.7kg scale didn't move from 76kg for a while. So happy with today's reading! Made an initiative from yesterday to eat dinner at least 2 hours before going to bed. But still got hungry when I went to bed and so had to eat some biscuits!
10/28 - 75.5kg Followed the same like the previous day and I think it works!
10/29 - 75.8kg. Expected this! It was Sunday and I went a lil over my calories.
10/30 - 75.5kg back again! Weekdays normal routine so came back to where I was! We try so hard to get those scales to move down but a little treat or a holiday or a weekend or whatever occasion may be, we eat a few extra calories with our mind saying "just today! I have been working hard these many days so I deserve it" and then woof all those hard works goes away and we go a little behind! This is what I learned this time, that I have been doing this mistake over and over again so that's why I am lagging back with my progress! Just one day will cost you three to four days of hard work again!
10/31 - 75.4kg Just a 0.1kg down but it's still a Progress!
11/01 - 75.1kg Had a goal of getting to 75kg by the end of October. Almost close to my goal.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/30 - 244.5lb - well that was quick 😅 in fairness I had been holding water weight for most of last week and despite creating ample caloric deficit wasn’t seeing the scales budge so this loss is overdue. It surely helped that yesterday I managed over my 10,000 step goal, and was really on point with my diet. Today I will be trying to watch the sodium in what I’m eating,my body seems really susceptible to the “whoosh” effect and so I’m trying to find a way to help with the water retention.
10/31 - 245lb - I’ll take that, I normally lose a few lbs one day, gain a bit of water back, hold onto it for a few days and then will drop another few pounds. I was logging yesterday and creating a deficit so just having complete faith in science. Feeling motivated for today and in control, tonight is leftovers from last night so I know exactly how many calories. Going to try and do some decent activity today as yesterday was pretty relaxed.
11/01 - 244.2 - that’s a new low (only slightly) but it’s fine by me 😅 had a low calorie day yesterday with a decent amount of steps. Today will again be watching my sodium and aiming to stay within my calorie goals.

My 10th round, let's do this! Hoping for at least a pound gone by the end of this challengeUSW 6th of May: 210 lbs
UGW: 144 lbs
Challenge goal weight: 164 lbs

10/25 - 164.2 Great start, but I doubt it’ll last! We’ll see 😃 Headed to the doctor soon to have my blood pressure measured for 24h. My pulse and bp has been acting up like crazy when I exercise, so I had to have a careful exercise week. Going to the gym tomorrow, but will probably have to take it a bit slow
10/26 - 163.8 (-0.4) Wow, this is great! Lower number two days in a row, didn’t expect to be losing this soon after my last woosh. Awesome! Getting closer and closer to my “goal” everyday. The 24h blood pressure thing is horrendous 😂 It has only managed to measure me standing up 1 time.. Wish there was like a button on it that I could press, so it would measure when I actually stand up and have symptoms.
10/27 - -- Took this day off logging and mfp for the first time in 4 months
10/28 - 164.2 (+0.4) No wonder, since I took yesterday off I had my regular food and I ate some candy on the side for the first time in 4 months. So I basically had one cheat meal. I'm back on track again and logging. Feeling more hungry today, but that's probably because I ate more carbs yesterday. I'm under calories for today and will continue under calories for the rest of the week.
10/29 - 164.2 (--) No change today Yesterday was fine, but like I said.. I was so hungry! Weird how your body craves more and more carbs when you eat a little more carbs than usual one day. I'm very happy that I have self control. Earlier I couldn't eat candy/cake/sweets etc one day without falling completely off and continuing to eat sweets like a crazy person, so I'm happy that has changed This journey is about so much more than just the weight loss..
10/30 - 163.5 (-0.7) Wooho
10/31 - 162.4 (-1.1) I’ll see you soon 150 😂 Headed to the gym in a couple of hours.. Haven’t been exercising since sunday and I feel really bad! Been kinda hard exercising with my low blood pressure. I’m having huge problems with just washing my clothes to be honest 🙈 Gonna get a workout in today, will probably do some exercises while sitting/laying down. I bet it’ll be refreshing for mind, body and soul.
☠️ HAPPY HALLOWEEN! ☠️
11/01 - 161.8 (-0.6) This round is just going waaaay better than I expected! Headed to the gym today aswell 😃👍🏻 Had a lovely Halloween.. I even logged a chocolate, but didn’t end up eating it. Because I didn’t feel like eating chocolate (omg, huge shock). Big victory for me 😂 I used to have halloween as an excuse to stuff my face, but this year it was about family time, the decorations and the hilarious makeup. Actually one of the best halloweens I’ve ever had.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

I’m getting really close to maintenance weight. However, with the holidays coming up, I’d like to drop a few more pounds to give me some breathing room when I inevitably eat and drink too much.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/25 - 146.5 - I'm happy I didn't have a bump up from yesterday.
10/26 - 146.5 - 3 days at the same weight is very unusual for me. I'm glad I didn't bounce up before the weekend!
10/27 - 147 - Well, here's the bounce. I had half a philly chicken gyro for supper last night and although I ate below maintenance for the day, I'm sure that sandwich had plenty of sodium. No regrets though, it was delicious and we only get carry out food a couple times a month. Back to more healthy eating for the rest of the weekend.
10/28 - 146.5 - We had tilapia and green beans last night and I passed on the mashed potatoes. My husband made no-bake cookies though and I had to have a half cookie. I will probably cave and have another one today, but he only makes them a couple times a year.
10/29 - 146.5 - I had a work conference today and ate out for lunch. I'm sure I'll have another bump up from the sodium. I'm eating out again tomorrow and will try to keep the choices a little healthier. This has been a bumpy week for me with all the extra restaurant food and cookies. I'm glad I'm in this thread, otherwise I may have gone overboard with all the food.
10/30 - 147 - I'm not surprised and tomorrow probably won't be any better. Back to a normal day at work for the next few days and back to the water and healthier food.
10/31 - 147 - Back to the office and better eating, water, and steps today.
11/01 - 147 - My food and steps were good yesterday, more water today.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/25: 67.3 - Yesterday would have been a very good day, but then my partner took the chocolate bomb pudding (that's a uk definition of pudding) out of the freezer and then that's an extra 414kcals onto the day. However, still 200kcals under burn, so a deficit is a deficit. Did have to edit the main course so that it wasn't a stupid amount over, so I'm fairly happy that I actually ended up under at the end of the day. Honestly, although it was good, I'm not sure it was worth the calories, and it's not going to be something I'm going to have to worry about working into my calorie budget very often. However, it has been a long time since I've eaten a very gooey chocolate pud, so it certainly satisfied an itch.
10/26: 66.8 - Yaaaaaas, broke that 66.x barrier! Genuinely did a little jump this morning as celebration. Not counting my chickens though. I'm expecting the number to go back up into 67s tomorrow tbh. I'm not counting it as a number down untill I get at least three (sometimes two) consecutive days in that number. Yesterday was fine. I'm aware I barely drank anything during the day yesterday which isn't good. But I also felt satisfied with my breakfast and lunch, something that I've been struggling with lately. Made room for KFC and was only just over calories for the day. And although I'm never sure quite how accurate those calories given are, I should be reasonably safe as I, again, didn't eat the burger lid so that'll be saving maybe as much as 100kcals I've not accounted for, so I'm guessing that'll probably balance itself out
10/27: 66.9 - Very difficult day Friday. I had a funeral that was a really tough one. Ate loads at the wake, but then made up for it by ending up not eating dinner. But gosh there was a lot of cake.
10/28: Didn't weigh - I knew this was going to be a big one. So went to my niece's birthday party. A meal out: fish and chips and was surprised how full I felt and so I didn't actually eat it all. Although the fish was enormous and the batter was only okay, so I took a lot of it off and just ate the plain fish. Then back to their house for cake (which was delicious, but nutella icing, omg, so bad, but so good). Then off to my friends for a Halloween party. A bottle of wine and some nibbles later, pretty sure I've under logged.
10/29: 67.7 - Yeeeeaaaah. So I'm not surprised about that. After 3 high calorie days I'm fully expecting my weight to be fluctuating up. Yesterday was also not a very good day on the food. Hangover food day, and bottomless pit of a stomach. Ugh, very hard. However, slightly surprisingly I was actually under my maintenance calories for the day (according to my fitbit, which I've verified and is pretty accurate). My partner bought me 2 custard slices which I ate as breakfast and both are surprisingly less than other breakfast options. Then I ate both a ready meal curry and a full pizza for lunch, but then proceeded to be far too full to be able to eat very much for dinner, so it almost evened itself out. Hopefully that weight will lower down now I'm getting back to the lower calorie options again for today.
10/30: 67.7 - Weighed after breakfast so I'm probably more likely at least 0.5 lower than that, but still. Anyway, much happier with yesterday, ate well and 90 minutes of very hard judo. Quite sore this morning with an interesting selection of bruises and my shoulders achy, but love that feeling of working really hard. On top of that I also made my step target (doesn't always happen on training days as I have to take off my fitbit for training). So all in all and excellent day!
10/31: 67.3 - Finally down, was looking for less than this, but I'll take the drop. A surprisingly good day yesterday, ate only just above calories and that was with what was probably not the best choice of lunch. Stepped well during the day, but didn't keep my exercise up in the evening so didn't hit my daily step goal (frustrating). However, I'm back keeping a sensible deficit and I'm still mildly hopeful I might get to my round goal this round.
11/01: 67.1 - Yesterday was not very good. Someone left cake on the desk next to me and it was looking at me all day. I ate too much cake. And the worst bit was that it wasn't even that nice. The icing was hard and very sweet (actually I left a lot of the icing) and the sponge was good, but the jam and cream filling were also very sweet. However, made up for it somewhat, by sticking with the lower calorie option of a stirfry for dinner (instead of the chips, chips and more chips I really wanted) and have still managed to stay below burn. Only just mind, but I'm not going to knock it. I also got loads of steps in during the work day, and then spent all evening on my bum on the sofa playing games and so still didn't make my target. Oh well. Better today, hoping to get out for a run in the rain after work (I'm one of those insane people who prefer running in the rain)

UGW: 140 lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
10/25 182.7 lbs (-0.1)/ I ate a little bit over my caloric goal and had just over 1,500 calories for the day. I ate all healthy foods, but to be honest I probably put a little too much salt on my steak. I also had good news yesterday, I thought I had injured my back but the physical therapist touched my back and in less than a second said I had a huge knot and my muscles were just seizing up from it. He worked the knot out and the sharp pains were gone! He said I could go back to exercising and that it would actually be good for my back muscles to be engaged.
10/26 182.1 (-0.6)/ So I'm actually really proud of myself for yesterday. I ate 1,392 calories when I allow myself up to 1,500 (And sometimes a little over). I just simply was not hungry enough to eat anymore, this is big for me because I normally always feel hungry.
10/27 N/A I was unable to weigh in today. We were moving so I was very busy. I did keep to my daily calories during the busy day so I am proud of that. Will weigh in tomorrow.
10/28 182.4 (+0.3) With Moving we did end of eating some McDonalds. I did keep a deficit but I'm sure that the sodium was through the roof. So I was assuming this was a water weight influx.
10/29 N/A
10/30 181.9 (-0.5)/ Moving has been kinda crazy but I tried my best to stay at a calorie deficit (and I did!). Finished moving now so I can now be more focused on eating healthy and exercising.
10/31 180.6 (-1.3) Sticking to my 1,500 calories, I will allow myself up to 1,700 if I need it because I know I will not gain weight eating that much. So I'm pretty happy about this drop (probably mostly water weight, but still!), I know I've lost weight very quickly in the past by sticking to 1,200 calories but I was never able to maintain that and I always failed. Hoping by not being as restrictive on my calories this time I will be able to maintain and succeed!
11/01 180.8 (+0.2)/ Not gonna sweat over the slight gain. I stuck to my calories and did an hour on the elliptical yesterday (did not eat back any exercise calories). I probably just didn't drink enough water.

Sunrise this morning was spectacular! I'm looking forward to a nice walk on the river greenway. Then I'm off to the dr's office - I was pruning a rose yesterday and it fought back. I'm sure there's a thorn tip embedded in my leg (nice finish to a long scratch) and my hubby couldn't get it and I can't reach it very well. That'll be fun! Have a lovely day, all!

I've decided to change my look with a new haircut to go with my new body. Going short, and with my curly mop, it should be easy peasy maintenance. Let's hope weight maintenance follows suit! Have a lovely weekend, all!

I had a pretty good workout in the garden yesterday moving two big rose bushes, three daylilies, and three hostas, and planting some mini irises I got free a while back. It rained all night and is still raining, so everyone is nicely watered in. I'm hoping to put in some bulbs this afternoon or tomorrow. One of my favorite ways to spend a fall day - and a drop on the scale is a nice reward!
10/28- 134.6 - 1104 - 10-day ave 1278
Woohoo! Last day of my elimination diet! Tomorrow I start adding things back, one by one, starting with eggs. Based on lingering pain, I don't know that it's done much for my inflammation - blood work tomorrow will tell us more - but I have lost 6.5 pounds in the 6 weeks (not bad this close to my UGW) on a macro ratio of 55-60% carbs (mostly veggies & fruits with some rice, oatmeal, & legumes), 20% protein, & 20-25% fat. I haven't felt particularly deprived, but I am looking forward to adding eggs, peppers, tomatoes, peanutbutter, and muesli!
10/29 - 134.6 - 1221 - 10-day ave 1266
Busy day today, beginning with a blood draw for me to see if inflammation is down, and a leg x-ray for my doggy girl to see why she's limping intermittently (which we fear is linked to her liver nodules and enlarged lymph glands). She was most unhappy about going to THE BACK ROOM with the tech. :-( But I'm happily beginning the next phase of the food sensitivity testing, beginning with eggs! I added egg whites to my oatmeal this morning and look forward to an omelette for lunch. Sometimes it's the little things!

We're headed for 64 degrees F today so I'm planning to go for a nice walk this morning and plant a bunch of bulbs this afternoon, then painting class tonight. Life is good!

November has arrived with chilly November rain in NE Indiana. I guess I have to face the fact that I'll be taking some of my walks on the gym treadmill for the next few months, though I still like to get outside when we don't have cold rain. Wishing you all a great November!

31/10: 85.9 kg (189.3 lps) -0.9kg / Although I could not stick to the calorie target yesterday (1800 instead if 1500), the result is still very good, and even way faster than I expected! (I am fully aware, that it’s not fat which goes away that fast, as it’s impossible, bet it is still very motivating). Pilates training is scheduled for tonight.
01/11: 86.1 kg (189.8 lbs) +0.3kg / Hmmm, but small fluctuations apparently are OK. It was again 1800 kCal instead of 1500 yesterday, but with my current weight and activity level I should still burn more than 1800 per day. So, not that bad.

Start of Round 57 Weight: 186.6
I have lost 106 pounds so far and my goal is to get down to between 10-12% body fat (Currently about 16.1%) and then slowly bulk to gain muscle. These last 10 lbs. or so have really been giving me fits, so I thought I would join this challenge to give me a little extra motivation.
Day/Weight/Comment
10/25 186.6 - Had a pretty good day. Got a late night lift in about midnight last night with 2 miles (1 before, 1
after) on the treadmill. Need to do better on sleep. Averaging about 4 hours per night this week.
10/26 186.6 - Yesterday had an active day. Did a triceps and abs session and then ran a treadmill 5k at an easy
pace (6.5) for just under 29 minutes. Had about 15,000 steps along with the workout, so got to eat
some extra calories yesterday (2239). Deadlifts await today.
10/27 187.4 - Normal fluctuation. Didn't get my workout in because I was gonna go after watching World Series Game 3. 18 innings and 7:20 later...it was 2:30 am here when game ended. So i will try to double up today on my workouts. Also ate calories that go on today's diary last night during game after midnight so that explains the gain.
10/28 189.4 - Played and walked 18 holes of golf for over 15,000 steps. Pigged out at family get together on high carb and high sodium foods. 300+ carbs when I'm usually around 180-200 and 6600+ sodium. So I figured I would be a up a few today. It's normal for me to fluctuate 3-5 lbs based on water weight. So, no worries, back at it today and it should shed over the next few days. After losing 107 lbs, it's good to know my body well enough that I don't freak out over water weight fluctuations like I would have at the beginning.
10/29 188.6 - Pretty good day. Slightly over calories (Mexican food is my weakness). Normally my rest day, but I made up my lifting workout from Friday (Deadlifts, Assisted Pull-Ups, Overhead Press, Bicep Curls and Chest Flys). Also bowled in my Sunday evening bowling league. Hopefully will continue to shed water weight today, and I will have another lifting session today and may try to go play some basketball for cardio tonight if I can get away for long enough.
10/30 187.4 - Played full court basketball for almost 2 hours. Over 14,000 steps total. Food intake was pretty good, had a nice deficit for the day and ended up with 181 grams of protein. Plan on lifting today (Squat Day). See if we can eliminate the remainder of the water weight from last weekend. Checked body fat % and am down to about 15.1%. About 3-5% from goal on BF. Can't wait to bulk so I can up the calories some and intake more food 😁
10/31 - 187.0 - Got a really good lift in (Squats, Bench, Incline Bench, Seated Rows, Triceps). Set a couple of lifting PR's, which was fun. Also shot some baskets in the basketball gym at the Y for about 30 minutes for some cardio. Stayed around 1900 calories for a nice deficit for the day. 144 ounces of water. Waist size was down today to 33.25 inches (started over 50). Cardio day today for me.
11/01 - 187.4 - Didn't get a workout per se as I took my kiddos trick or treating. Got about 3 miles of walking in doing that however and over 11,000 steps on the day. Had a lot of sodium yesterday and feel like I'm retaining some extra water. Lifting today and will try to add abs as well since I normally do them on my cardio days but missed yesterday.

Weight training 1 day a week

Walk 45 miles in November
Day/Weight/Comment
10/25 - 192.6 No exercise yesterday. I drove for more than 5 hours, that was enough "exercise" for me. Good news I got a new asthma script. I didn't pick it up because I was too tired. Let's hope this new insurance means I can afford more than just the rescue inhaler. I'm crabby but still staying in calorie goal and plan on walking tonight.
10/26 - 190.9 No exercise again yesterday, but that stinky water weight is gone! I have been very tired the last two nights. MS can sometimes sneak up on me with a little exhaustion when I'm not looking. I hope to be back on track (trails really hahaha) this weekend. A short walk at lunch today (2 miles) and then a long walk either Saturday or Sunday and a 3 miler the other day. Fingers crossed the weather agrees Last round I over estimated my goal, this round I underestimated. My amended goal for Round 57 is 189. I have 8 days to do it.
10/27 - 191.0 Went to the Farmer's Market walked 1.25 miles! Up slightly, nothing to worry about. Stayed within calorie goals but it was an emotional day.
10/28 - 191.6 Stress and sodium are the culprits. I hope I should have walked but got caught up in other things. I did shop a lot so there was walking there but I didn't turn on the app to count distance. Staying within calorie goals but sodium is high again.
10/29 - 192.9 DANG IT. I'm certain it's the stupid sodium. I ate out a lot and while I can stay in calorie goals but restaurants LOVE salt. My walking goals didn't happen. I had originally wanted to walk 50 miles in October but being sick for a week killed that. That pace was 1.61 miles a day - adjusting for a week off I need to hit 38.6. I'm at 33.2. I have to walk 5.4 miles in the next 3 days to hit my goal. Even if I don't hit my weight goal, I feel like I will have accomplished something if I can hit my mileage goal.
10/30 - 191.4 That's more like it. I still need to lose another pound to make the Round goal. I was crazy on 10/26, full of confidence that I would keep that weight off and lose more. Walked 4.15 miles yesterday, that puts me at 37.3 for the month. It was the perfect fall day for walking. I do need to leave a little earlier, it was straight dark by the time I got back to the car. I will make the 38.6 miles. Tonight is weights at the gym night and tomorrow is Halloween.
10/31 - 191.4 At least it's not going up! I am ending October with slightly over 40 miles. I am proud of myself for making a goal, being thwarted by asthma for a week, adjusting my goal for something I couldn't control and instead of being discouraged kept with it. In addition to walking over 2.5 miles at lunch yesterday, I went to the gym to work out on weight machines for over an hour. I stayed under my calorie goal so I had hoped for a drop today but I have 3 days to drop a pound. I haven't bought any Halloween candy yet, so I didn't get into it. I'm going at lunch and hopefully I can just try one of each...
11/1 - 190.1 WOOHOO!!! I was even bad last night. I had 5 - count them 5 mini candy bars. I had decided it's Halloween a little indulgence won't kill me. Wake up this morning and I'm down. The weight loss gods are fickle creatures, sometimes they need a mini-Snickers to appease them. Though I am NOT suggesting anyone do that. It would be nice if I end up at 189 after all. It would be SOOO nice to be in the 180's. I have set a goal of walking 45 miles in November. I cut it back from 50 because I doubt I'll be able to walk outside and I know I won't walk as much on a treadmill. If I do hit 50 it will be BONUS TIME!!!!!!!!
