Exercise Plan = Betty Rocker 90 Day Challenge (currently in week 11). Ease back into running now that my ankle has healed.
Nutrition Plan = Continue to limit gluten, dairy, sugar, diet soda, alcohol & eat non-processed foods, protein/fruit/veg at every meal, complex carbs at breakfast and post workout meal, drink plenty of water.

10/25 = 143.5 (up 2.5 lbs from yesterday) Hate to start a new round with a "gain" but this was expected and just a little blip up from my party last night. We had such a good turnout with a great group of ladies, super fun but way too many nibbly foods and cocktails. This should drop right back down in the next couple of days. The last round I was way off track with getting my workouts in & logging, but I practiced intuitive eating and was able to eek out a small loss. Getting out of these 140's is hard but I also have not been truly committed since I sprained my ankle. But all healed and ready to be back at it, giving it 100%. "If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down."

10/29 =143.4 (down .01 lbs, still up 2.4 lbs) I was out of the loop over the weekend. My daughter was sick all last week with a fever, cough, chills, and just very weak. She missed almost the entire week of school. We went to the doctor and had a chest x-ray done as there are 5 confirmed diagnosed cases of pneumonia at her school currently, but thankfully hers was all clear. She is back at school today, so I can focus a little bit on me now. My husband has asthma, so he is always so susceptible to anything respiratory illness related, so now he has bronchitis and an ear infection - ugh! Fingers crossed everyone is recovered by Halloween! Yesterday, I finally got back to my 90 day challenge and completed the day 73 yoga, felt super good! So far today, I am back on track with logging after taking a bit of time off from that, have the day 74 workout scheduled and hope to get in my 1st run since spraining my ankle on 9/27. I've also got to go to the store to get a treat for our cat, it's National Cat day, so will pick up the ingredients for the @tiabirdie56 bloat relief water. Have a great day everyone!
10/30 = 143.3 (down .01 lbs, still up 2.3 lbs) Ended up super busy day and got neither workout nor run in, logged about half of my day, still not on track with my nutrition.
10/31 = 142.3 (down 1.0 lbs from yesterday, still up 1.3 lbs) Yesterday was a beautiful fall day in New England, in the mid 40's with a bit of a chill, my favorite running weather! I went out mid-day and got in my 1st post sprained ankle run, so happy to be a runner again Only did a little over a mile & half just to see how everything felt. My ankle was fine but felt a little twingy in my opposite knee during the run and immediately after, but all fine now. Just one of those weird mystery pains. I also got in day 75 of 90 which was 45 secs of each x 3 rounds of Wide Plie Squat with Hop, Push Up Jacks, Curtsy Lunge to Outside Knee Lift, Side Plank with Hip Drop and Knee Pull In, Triceps Dips with 3 Kicks and Dips, Jump to Side Lunge and Touch, & Single Leg Elevated Bridge Pullover w/ Weight. Feeling this workout today in my quads & booty. Excited for Halloween tonight, my daughter's middle school lets them wear costumes all day and then has a costume contest during each of the lunch periods. She is dressed as a "baby", has on a pink onesie, polka dot bib, hair in double ponies with big pink bows,& has an oversized pacifier, rattle, & bottle. For trick or treating tonight, she is going spooky as the urban legend "Bloody Mary". I'm pretty excited about my ghost costume, there is a hoop skirt involved, and a super dramatic tulle hooded cape. Our town is such a great Halloween town, wishing everyone a fun and safe evening if you are celebrating out and about tonight!
11/01 = 149.3 (up 7.0 lbs from yesterday) So, I know I did not gain 7 lbs overnight, but wow! that's a harsh number to see this morning. I normally weigh-in 1st thing in the morning, but this weigh-in was about an hour after getting up and having a cup of tea and a glass of water, so hopefully that contributed to this crazy number! But part of this is from that fact that I did overindulge yesterday with: a little Halloween candy (1 full sized Snickers bar & a 3 fun sized Laffy Taffy's), a couple of glasses of red wine, and we ordered late night pizza when we got back from Trick or Treating. I practice IF 16:8, so I normally do not eat after 6:30/7:00 but this pizza was at 10:00 p.m. + gluten & dairy which I usually limit. So lot's of contributing factor to this uptick on the scale. But today is a new day & it is a new month, so back on track. But I have no regret & will not beat myself up over this, if you can't enjoy a fun holiday like Halloween, this just won't be sustainable in the long run. Yesterday was a rest day in my 90 day challenge but I did get out and get a short run in...the good news, still pain free & my pace is right on track, so the month off due to injury didn't have me lose any of my running fitness
11/02 = 146.4 (down 2.9 lbs from yesterday, still up 5.4 lbs) So some of the scale uptick coming down. But no way all of this is coming off by tomorrow. This will be my 1st round of the 14 I've completed where I will not post a loss. It is what it is. At least I am finishing the round back on track with my logging and making good choices. Unfortunately I've now caught the sick bug that both my daughter and husband have had and feel horrible, not able to work out yesterday or today. I'm taking (& logging) my cold medicine and hoping to feel better tomorrow.

10/25: 195.7 (17,646 steps). Almost 13k steps at the time of writing this. Will go on a run after dinner. Did an amazing upper body workout. Day 5 of 30 days of yoga. Food isn’t so great today, though i will be under if I count my exercise calories.
10/26: 194.7! (9,455) Feels nice, aside from my right pec and glute being sore. Will have to take an epsom salt bath sometime today. I also had a hell of a time falling asleep. My upper spine really hurt. Hoping to make better food choices today and continue to see a downward trend. I will add steps the next day.
10/27 194.3! Today is homework and studying for my kinesiology midterm on Monday. Will try to get my steps in, but it might be hard.

10/30 194.3. Tried the witches’ brew frappuccino, not strong enough of a flavour, but still nice. I also found the only store in my town that sells passion tango tea (the superstore in the health food aisle) so now I can drink it! I have another midterm on the 7th, and I’m getting stressed lol.
10/31 194.3.Happy Halloween! At least I can say I’ve lost 1.6lbs this challenge lol. Will try to do a lower body workout and get back on track with the 30 days of yoga (Day 6)
11/01 192.8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Halloween went great, only ate two pieces (one chocolate, one cherry peel and pull!) Didn’t do either of the workouts I said I would do, but that’s okay. I did tabata this morning, and my sister has decided to sabotage me by baking SIX DOZEN chocolate chip cookies. I will try to eat those in moderation, but cookies are my weakness.
11/02 192.8 Nice. Part of this is DOMS, for sure. The other part is lady issues lol. Had quite a large deficit left at the end of the day (I didn’t starve myself, just walked a lot and did tabata)

10/25 - steps 11,000 trying to get 10,000+, my exercise is improving a lot. Plus the weight is starting to come off.
10/26 - 3rd day of exercising , new exercises that I could not do from my surgery, 7 months ago feels so good.
10/27- Rest day/ shopping / Family Birthday
10/28 - I had a rough day, lots of swelling around my eye, I think it is caused because I'm not use to sleeping on that side, it is near where I had surgery. If it is like that tomorrow I will get it checked by our family doctor.
10/29 -Worked on getting my steps back up 10,000+ day 1-complete.
10/30- Great day, still have a lot of swelling but I managed to do the treadmill. Still eating healthy.
10/31-Tried hard to get my steps in, because it was a busy day. But I did it.
11/01-My muscles were really sore but I'm going to keep going. 4th day 10,000+ steps.

If I work hard now, I will leave the “Obese” BMI soon, so I am pushing for consistency, I want to see a more consistent downward trend this round. I am hoping for good things this month!
This is a long term thing, a few bad days or weeks is something I'm getting better at coping with.

10/30 - 244.5lb - well that was quick 😅 in fairness I had been holding water weight for most of last week and despite creating ample caloric deficit wasn’t seeing the scales budge so this loss is overdue. It surely helped that yesterday I managed over my 10,000 step goal, and was really on point with my diet. Today I will be trying to watch the sodium in what I’m eating,my body seems really susceptible to the “whoosh” effect and so I’m trying to find a way to help with the water retention.
10/31 - 245lb - I’ll take that, I normally lose a few lbs one day, gain a bit of water back, hold onto it for a few days and then will drop another few pounds. I was logging yesterday and creating a deficit so just having complete faith in science. Feeling motivated for today and in control, tonight is leftovers from last night so I know exactly how many calories. Going to try and do some decent activity today as yesterday was pretty relaxed.
11/01 - 244.2 - that’s a new low (only slightly) but it’s fine by me 😅 had a low calorie day yesterday with a decent amount of steps. Today will again be watching my sodium and aiming to stay within my calorie goals.
11/02 - 244.5 - up slightly on the scales this morning however my body fat is still showing decreased and water percentage is up so it’s clear I’m retaining a bit of water which doesn’t surprise me as I was not very good on the sodium front yesterday 😬. Today is a low cal day so hoping to see that drop off for tomorrow’s weigh in, going for a walk with my sister this morning so hoping to smash those steps and hopefully end on a good note tomorrow 💪🏻

I'm in again too!
Last round was not a good one for me. I was not able to complete it. But this time I want to stay consistent! This will be my fourth round. I have ordered my Fitbit and waiting to get my hands on it! (I have a way too sedentary lifestyle)
Also planned to set mini goals from now on and try to acheive it in order to stay in track! My first mini goal for now is to reach 75kg before Nov 1st!

10/25 - 76kg Taking it slow and steady. If my scale was not moving down as I expect it to be, I am not gonna get discouraged this time! Because last round I gave up due to this reason!
10/26 - 76kg. No worries! At least the scale didn't move up!
10/27 - 75.7kg scale didn't move from 76kg for a while. So happy with today's reading! Made an initiative from yesterday to eat dinner at least 2 hours before going to bed. But still got hungry when I went to bed and so had to eat some biscuits!
10/28 - 75.5kg Followed the same like the previous day and I think it works!
10/29 - 75.8kg. Expected this! It was Sunday and I went a lil over my calories.
10/30 - 75.5kg back again! Weekdays normal routine so came back to where I was! We try so hard to get those scales to move down but a little treat or a holiday or a weekend or whatever occasion may be, we eat a few extra calories with our mind saying "just today! I have been working hard these many days so I deserve it" and then woof all those hard works goes away and we go a little behind! This is what I learned this time, that I have been doing this mistake over and over again so that's why I am lagging back with my progress! Just one day will cost you three to four days of hard work again!

11/01 - 75.1kg Had a goal of getting to 75kg by the end of October. Almost close to my goal.
11/02 - 75kg.Finally! Met my first mini goal! But still there is a lot to go!

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

10/25 -78.6kg, I think I’m noticing a pattern here. I kind of stagnate or fluctuate down and up for a few days, and then drop suddenly and harshly. I think I like it! It sucks seeing the scales go up and up but rewarding when it finally drops to where it really should be, and I guess that’s why we track every day, to see these patterns
10/26 - 79.0kg, I ate over my calories by a lot yesterday. I regret it but it’s done! And not only did the scales go up, but I feel awful this morning. Lesson learned!
10/27 - 79.0kg, stayed under cals yesterday and drank loads of water!
10/28 - 78.7kg, happy to see this! 1200cals, plenty of water, happy days
10/29 - 78.5kg, very happy the scales continue to go down. It’s just good to know all of this is paying off and even if I don’t see immediate results physically, I can see them on the scales. I really do need to start exercising regularly though.
10/30 - 78kg, and the scales just keep going down! So pleased and so motivated!!
10/31 - 78kg, this was expected after the large drop I had yesterday!
11/01 - 77.5kg, weighed after going to the bathroom which doesn’t normally happen, so probably on the lower end of a fluctuation but super pleased regardless
11/02 - 77.5kg, fine with this considering the drop from a couple of days ago! I didn’t drink enough water yesterday and ate out for dinner but tried to count as best I could and I think I was still under for the day
11/03 - 78.7kg, I ate soooooo much food yesterday. Tracked it all. I’m still plenty under for the week so I’m okay with it. It sucks to see this on the scale, but I know it’s a result of eating a lot in a short period and not drinking enough water. Will be back for another round and can’t wait to see more progress from myself, and others!8 -

10/25 still a solid 70kg, which is just fine, especially given the last few days eating and lack of exercise. Will abandon counting after lunch as it's my last day in my current job! Dates for my flight out to Zambia will be decided in the next couple of days.
10/26 70kg - weighed after breakfast. Had a great eve with a beautiful cake in shape of a condom :') (I work in family planning), ended the night with pizza, leftovers are my lunch now.
I actually have a 5k fun run tonight with a couple of friends, so better get this hangover under control! Diet, logging and proper exercise starting tomorrow.
10/27 70kg - very happy with this, and even if i don't get below this round, that'll be fine. Managed to do my 5k run in good time yesterday. Today I have to go back to logging. Exercise will be tidying up and sorting out things at home. Will also go for a walk to get my steps in and back to boxing tomorrow. Happy weekend all.

Yesterday's boxing class was not very good. We had a new instructor on trial who didn't have us do a proper warm up and overall was pretty bad. Went for a walk in the afternoon to get my steps in. Did have quite a few snacks, but almost within calories. I need to stop buying them really.
Today, it's my first proper day at home without a job, walked my husband to the station and later plan to go for a run.

Last night, a friend was in town unexpectedly, so we went for a couple of drinks and some bar snacks. My lunch and dinner before that were rather estimated as it was left over food that I modified. Overall only slightly over cals.
Today, I already hit my step goal after running around the shops - finding office wear suitable for 30C in autumn is not easy. TOM in full swing, all I want is chocolate.
10/31 70.5kg, this is deserved. Went completely overboard with cookies last night watching the final of Great British Bake Off. The cookies werr meant for my husband's advent calendar - turns out he's not bothered about them... Off for a run now. I'm doing ok with exercise, but can't get in the zone for yoga. I'll start that next week again.
The next days/ will be challenging, many good bye drinks and meals. I will still check in, but may not log exactly.
11/01 70kg again. Yesterday wasn't as bad as I had feared. Within cals, ate all exercise cals back.
Today, I went to my last boxing class this morning, then my phone died on the way home so I miss out on around 2-3000 steps on the app. I already indulged in some snacks - was very hungry when I got back home and will go out for dinner/drinks again tonight.

Ok, I abandoned counting in the afternoon, went for small dinner and a couple of glasses of wine but got my steps in. I think I probably didn't go over by much, if at all, but didn't drink enough water. Something in the dinner made me terribly bloated all eve. Today will be a rest day from exercise, I'm packing and probably a dinner date with my husband. I'm trying yo finish all my packing so that I can spend the weekend with my husband and a few friends, beforw flying on Monday.
11/03 71kg - that shows I can't be left to my own devices... I did go for a very salty dinner with quite a few drinks and had chocolate and Nutella during the day and no exercise apart from my 10k steps.
So as frustrating as this is, it is absolutely deserved. Probably more annoying is that I know there isn't much I will be doing about it the next few days.

31/10: 85.9 kg (189.3 lps) -0.9kg / Although I could not stick to the calorie target yesterday (1800 instead if 1500), the result is still very good, and even way faster than I expected! (I am fully aware, that it’s not fat which goes away that fast, as it’s impossible, bet it is still very motivating). Pilates training is scheduled for tonight.
01/11: 86.1 (189.8 lbs) +0.3kg / Hm, but small fluctuations apparently are OK. It was again 1800 kCal instead of 1500 yesterday, but with my current weight and activity level I should still burn more than 1800 per day. So, not that bad.
02/11: 86.1 (189.8 lbs) -/- Weight is still the same, but my jeans are a bit less tight
03/11: 86.6 (+0.5 kg) Went to fitness center yesterday, but when I came home I found out that my husband brought me these and could not stop eating till the whole package was gone

I had a pretty good workout in the garden yesterday moving two big rose bushes, three daylilies, and three hostas, and planting some mini irises I got free a while back. It rained all night and is still raining, so everyone is nicely watered in. I'm hoping to put in some bulbs this afternoon or tomorrow. One of my favorite ways to spend a fall day - and a drop on the scale is a nice reward!

Woohoo! Last day of my elimination diet! Tomorrow I start adding things back, one by one, starting with eggs. Based on lingering pain, I don't know that it's done much for my inflammation - blood work tomorrow will tell us more - but I have lost 6.5 pounds in the 6 weeks (not bad this close to my UGW) on a macro ratio of 55-60% carbs (mostly veggies & fruits with some rice, oatmeal, & legumes), 20% protein, & 20-25% fat. I haven't felt particularly deprived, but I am looking forward to adding eggs, peppers, tomatoes, peanutbutter, and muesli!

Busy day today, beginning with a blood draw for me to see if inflammation is down, and a leg x-ray for my doggy girl to see why she's limping intermittently (which we fear is linked to her liver nodules and enlarged lymph glands). She was most unhappy about going to THE BACK ROOM with the tech. :-( But I'm happily beginning the next phase of the food sensitivity testing, beginning with eggs! I added egg whites to my oatmeal this morning and look forward to an omelette for lunch. Sometimes it's the little things!

Another good round. I caught myself starting to feel disappointed this morning that I've hovered at or just above this weight for most of the round, then reminded myself that I'm 5.6# lower than my previous "settle" goal, and only 4.4# from my ultimate fantasy weight. 10/25 149 Back here again, but with new motivation. I found an old tablet yesterday and was looking through old photos of myself, and got inspired to lower my goal weight to 134.5. Weight loss is first and mostly about psychology, and it really helped to see myself slimmer, smiling, looking like I felt great. Yesterday I had a really good day, lowered my calories back to 1200 and started wearing my fitbit again. Refocusing on my macros, since higher protein works best for me (carbs 25%, fat 45%, protein 30%) and seeking to hit that protein goal of 90g daily. These past 5 rounds I have indulged plenty, tasted all the foods I was desiring, and have come back to the realization that I feel better when I eat more simply. Skipping breakfast unless I am hungry, lots of salads, and grilled lean protein. Occasional treats, not daily. Looking forward to this round more than I have in a while! Have a great day everyone!
10/26 148.4 Dedicated to staying out of the 150's this round as I stay on course. Candy is in the house but I am safe! Tomorrow night we are going to a big Halloween party, so I will save some calories to snack there, but stay away from sweets. I have had enough sweets over the past several rounds to be ready to stay away.
10/27 149 Did not walk yesterday due to escorting mom to dr. and son to DMV (yay! he got his permit!) so lots and lots of sit and wait time. Ate over calories quite a bit last night and not the best choices in spite of my oh so motivated talk to myself. Today is a new day, and I am up and at em early ready for it to be outstanding! Every moment is an opportunity to begin again, have a great Saturday everyone!
10/28 149.2 Parsley cucumber lemon water is on the menu today to get rid of my Mexican food bloat from last night, but it was worth it! Hubby and I were inmates in black and white stripes, so it was comfy and the party last night was tolerable. He is leaving tomorrow until Saturday out of town, so this coming week will be a challenge. In the past when he's gone I have used it as an excuse to overeat, but not anymore! This time I will use his time away to stay focused on ME, to get my walks in, to eat how I know fuels my body best, and to spend some time introspectively and GROW. The past does not equal the future!
10/29 WEIGH IN DAY 148.4 Back here again, but this is really good!!! I am so happy not to be bouncing up as high as 150! I'm up extra early to take my honey to the airport, going to walk the hill when I get back and I will log my day. Continuing to drink the cucumber/parsley/lemon infusion, love the taste!
10/30 147.4 I dabbled here one time last week, good to see it again! Went over calories yesterday but stayed in deficit due to a lot of walking. I try not to pay attention to the fitbit adjustment, it's deceived me into thinking I can eat more than I really should. Does not seem right to eat more just because I had more steps around the house etc. I just counted out the weeks until the end of the year and we have 9 weeks until 2019! My goal is to get below 140 by then!
10/31 147 First time hitting this in a long time! I found an old weight watchers weight log card from 2003 and I distinctly remember going there to lose because I had reached a high weight of 145 and was more comfortable at my usual 135. This gave me added motivation to stay on course and continue towards my new goal of 134.5. 140 used to be my stop point, I am not sure how it crept higher and higher over the past 15 years. Ate well yesterday, since husband is away all the kids infiltrated the house, I had 4 of mine plus a couple extra in the kitchen...it was nice :-)
11/1 148.6 Ate too much bread last night, also ice cream and cookies. Knew I was doing it but did it anyway.
11/2 148.4 Don't know what happened on 10/31 except self sabotage. I had to force myself to weigh and post here, hard to admit my off the rails event. Yesterday was a better day, ate well, walked, babysat the twins, though my dogs were mad they missed the walk. Off for a predawn walk with them this morning before heading out to babysit again. Plan on another walk pushing the stroller and eating consciously today. I'd love to drop a little more before the start of next round, super hydrating today.
11/3 147.2 This round was a success in weight loss, but I did leave room for improvement on my logging and my daily walk. Hydration was a superfocus this round, I really think this is one of my main components for not only weight loss but healthy eating. So excited to be through this little "maintenance" slump! See you all next round! 8 weeks and a couple days until the New Year!! I WILL make that 140 a reality!

11/03: 176.2 (+7) my eating has been atrocious this week due. More potlucks and dinners with friends than necessary. Gotta love the holidays but they are so bad for weight loss! Lol on to the next one!5
