11/12 Hi my name is the sabatoger, how can I ruin your day today? This is a short story of my day yesterday with my weight included read if you would like or not..😥😥😥 spoiler alert (weight wise) it doesn't end prettyAt my uncle's birthday last night I began eating moderately, they didn't have much healthy options so I tried to control my portions..but as the night went on, more and more food just kept coming. All different sorts of yummy dishes that made you want to try a little of everything. By the third dish, I couldn't stop...and that wasn't even the main course. 6 dishes in and an hour wait before the main course was dished out it finally arrives and it turned out to be all pasta dishes with some veggies and a Ceaser salad..,the worst of the worst of all the salads. Once dinner had finally finished my zia (which is teqnically aunt in Italian, although she is actually my grandmother's sister) brought home made biscotti, which we don't get to have often, so of course a couple of those would do. The eating frenzy and sweet loving monster in me had awoken and although I was beginning to feel my belly button, I didn't stop there...of course not YOLO. Brownies, caramel cake came after. The party had started at around 11 30 am and went on and on ...By 11 pm they broke out the late night munchies of pizza..why not a slice? I don't think any binge in my whole life has ever been as bad as yesterday. After catching up with all the posts this morning and a couple of congratulations towards myself and others in this group I was scared to come here, relive my failure and post my current weight...but I need to hold myself accountable and need this to be lesson. Although I have worked hard and have been feeling more and more confident (tons of compliments were flying my way over my weight loss) I still have not been doing this long enough to trust myself on days like yesterday and logging as I go needs to happen to prevent an out of control spiral from happening again, especially so close to the holidays. So what was my weight...150.2 😔😔😥😥 I deserve this, I did this to myself and I although I am not confident that I will be able to reach my goal for tomorrow, I know some of it will come off..,especially because I will be working it off today, regardless of my post eating guilt and slight depression overs how easy it was to gain. I will have to fight again!
You had a wonderful evening with your family. No need to beat yourself up. Parsley water or tea will help a lot with the excess water which is exactly what you saw on the scale. Fat loss isn't race so be gentle with yourself and carry on.9 -

19th Round for me: Female 65, height – 5’
Last round was up and down and ultimately no change. Did get through without a major disaster which I will take as a win because there were a number of things would have tipped me over in the past. This round I have a good chance at a loss if I just hold steady and don’t allow any stress to have the upper hand.Round 39 (1st for me) – SW 163, loss -.2Round 58 – SW 161.6, GW 159.8
Round 40 – on holidays, gain +1.6
Round 41 – SW 164.4, loss -2

Round 43 – SW 162, loss -.4

Round 45 – SW 160.8, gain +1
Round 46 – SW 161.8, gain +.6
Round 47 – SW 162.4, loss -2.2
Round 48 – SW 160.2, missed most of this round and Round 49 as I was away without computer or scale.
Round 50 – SW 160.2, loss -.8
Round 51 – SW 160.8, loss -1
Round 52 – on holidays, no scale
Round 53 – SW 159.8, loss -1.4

Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June. This is less than 1 lb. per round but as I realize that may not be possible as I get lower (1 lb per round would put me at 131).
Day/Weight/Comment
11/04
11/05 – 160.2 – A day late but off to a good start.
11/06 – 161.2 – Good day yesterday, went to the gym and started some new exercises to change it up a bit. Off to first class subbing this morning.
11/07 – 161.4 – Class went well – in fact, so well that I have most of the material that I need for next week already done. I had prepped quite a bit in case it was too easy for them. Managed to stay only slightly over cals. and no LNS
11/08 - 161.2 – Gym yesterday but a bit over calories. Food choices good though.
11/09 - 160.6 – Good day yesterday – did a final tidy up outside and that’s pretty much it till next spring. Today it’s snowing like mad and I get to stay home as husband needs the car. We get a loads of heavy, wet snow here (we’re a ski town) which is nasty to drive in but sure is beautiful to watch coming down. I am doing exercises from an old program (Calanetics) in between housework, class prep, writing and hopefully knitting.
11/10 – 160.8 – Started a new routine at the gym this week and did almost all the old routine at home yesterday. Would like to work more exercise into each day since I don’t get much outside exercise in the winter. My experience when I started going to the gym last Feb. was that I exercised and exercised and it didn’t seem to make much difference and then suddenly I found that my metabolism was up and I had a lot more energy and the weight started moving. I also watched what I ate more carefully but nothing extreme.
11/11 –160.8
11/12 – 161.2 – LNS with corn thins and cheese and an apple, but still not at all necessary. Had been working on the computer all evening and inevitably the thought floats into my mind, “I’m kinda hungry …” Off to the gym this morning, wonder if I am really careful, what I can get to tomorrow.

Round 58: My 2nd Round
F/23/5’3’’/OSW 59kg/RSW 58.2kg
Round 57 : -0.5kg
11/4 – 58.2kg Worked out for an hour in the gym yesterday morning and even today morning.
11/5 - 58.5kg (+0.3kg) Was very much expecting this to happen…ate a lot of junk food yesterday way lot more than my calorie limit…this is what happens to me every Sunday! I hate it but can’t help it…went to gym in the morning today and will be very particular about what I eat today.
11/6 - 57.8kg (-0.7kg) Wow!!! I was expecting it to go down but not to this extent!!! I am so excited about this…I was really very careful about what I ate and stayed within calorie limit and spent some extra time in the gym…should not let go of all this hard work by just binging on junk…
11/7 - 57.9kg (+0.1kg) Food and exercise everything was good yesterday…but today I might eat a lot, have parties to attend that means lot of food…cheat day today!!
11/8 - 58.1kg (+0.2kg) For all the food that I ate yesterday 200grams gain is not a lot. Now that I have had enough food yesterday, today is going to be a clean food day!
11/9 - 58.2kg (+0.1kg) I couldn’t stop myself from eating all the oily yet yummy food prepared by my roommates for dinner yesterday, will have to spend some extra time in the gym today…very disappointed with my eating habits in this round and really scared about the weekend binge!
11/10 - 57.7kg (-0.5kg) the effect of eating one banana for breakfast and 2 oranges for lunch and chicken nuggets with fries for dinner! And also lifting weights in the gym!
11/11 - 57.8kg (+0.1kg) I really started to enjoy lifting weights in the gym and I can also see the positive effects of it! Glad I started this.
11/12 - 58.0kg (+0.2kg) It was Sunday yesterday can’t help!
11/13 – 57.7kg (target)

Day/Weight/Comment
11/04 - Out of town.
11/05 - 145. Coming back from a fun weekend out of town. Walked a lot and also ate plenty.
11/06 - Did not weigh. I didn't forget, I just really didn't want to. Logically, I know that weighing doesn't change anything (or more accurately: not weighing does not undo any of the overeating), but I demolished a bag of chips last night and did not want to see the number this morning. Onward to better behavior tonight!
11/07 - 145. Did better yesterday with exercise and eating. Acknowledging my mistakes here helped, along with wanting to be able to come back today and report improvements.
11/08 - 145 again, but yesterday was a good day. Step goals met, calorie goals not exceeded. Today, all three meals are professional events, so some challenges to navigate there.
11/09 - 145. The dinner last night was a lot of fun. We didn't make it home until midnight, so no exercise. Today is a family birthday. I'm off to get a chocolate cake from a local bakery. Hoping for the strength to avoid their amazing ham and cheese croissants... It's probably late enough in the day that they will have already sold out and saved me from temptation. Chocolate cake isn't my favorite so it's a great one to bring home, but those croissants are another matter altogether.
11/10 - Did not weigh.
11/11 - Did not weigh.
11/12 - 145. Looks like it's going to be a gain for me this round. Did a lot of meal prep yesterday which should make the upcoming week easier.

I’ve only been maintaining but hoping to break down into the 170s for this round! Temptations will not do me in for this round!
11/6 180.8 I’m getting so close to that 179 mark I can taste it! Total lost so far is 7lbs and it amazes me how much better I feel only 7lbs lighter. Looking forward to adding on to that number! 👍
11/7 180.6 I bet this number would be better if I hadn’t had a couple of Halloween candy yesterday. Oh well, it’s a marathon and at least heading in the right direction.
11/8 180.4 and seems like I’m starting a .2 loss per day trend! Tonight I’m making an Irish themed dinner. I’ve decided on vegetable and potato soup and Irish brown bread. I just hope with all those carbs I won’t go up.
11/9 180.2 I’m not making this up guys, I’ve been going down.2 everyday this round! I worked out this morning and going to restorative yoga tonight. Hopefully I can keep up this .2 lose throughout the weekend!

11/12 181.6 up 1.4 soooooo, this is what happens to me A.over a weekend full of too many get togethers and B.not weighing in daily. Once again, I do know myself and if I don’t allow myself these weekend indulgences I will never get back on the Monday wagon. So, here I am, on the Monday wagon and ready to chug along!

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
11/4 131.0 I have not been drinking enough water the last couple of days. Cooler temps (yesterday a high of 80) make it more difficult for me to remember.
11/5 130.0 Got in almost 3 qts of water. Made a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich (on keto 90 second bread with almond flour) at 11AM and wasn’t hungry all day. Needed more protein so had a Premier Protein shake at 8PM. Meeting Amy at the gym at 2.
11/6 130.0 Didn’t get to the gym, tweaked something in my back or neck eating lunch! Now I’m wearing the C-collar again.
11/7 129.0 Yesterday I voted, got my flu shot and spent almost an hour at the gym with my friend. After our workout we stood in the parking lot planning our visits until Thanksgiving. What has happened to us? We are looking forward to our gym time?!?
11/8 130.5 Carbs and salt! I knew it was going to happen. I was mad at myself because I haven’t mastered my new HRM and it didn’t record most of my workout yesterday. We went to Golden Corral for dinner - conveniently located right next door to the gym. Early bird special. Going to breakfast this morning. Typing in the car.
11/9 130.5 Carl is asleep in the living room so I did not make my BPC. I hate open floor plans for that reason! Too much kitchen noise everywhere! My workout buddy had to cancel so my couch potato self only had 2600 steps yesterday!
11/10 131.0 Up too early! DH is “sleeping” in the living room because he can’t get comfortable anywhere.
11/11 131.0 Went to friends’ 55th anniversary dinner at a supposed to be great steakhouse. The steak (Porterhouse) was okay, the taste of mashed potatoes and from scratch creamed corn were MEH. I ate 2 dinner rolls but they weren’t as good as the ones I make. We had such an outstanding steak place in the small town we lived in in Colorado (Mobile 5 star) the bar has been set too high for others. Sadly, when “our” generation retired a couple of years ago the younger generation didn’t want to keep it going. The steaks were so tender they didn’t even have steak knives!
11/12 131.07 -
@abowersgirl Of course, I sympathize with you. What happened is EXACTLY what happens to me when I get out of town. It is like a frenzy at times. Foods I haven't had in a long time. Things I love (like pasta) that just doesn't fit in my plan. It's like the land of Milk and Honey. I also feel ashamed when I share my bad experiences or my weaknesses, but I do it so that others will know that it happens. Others will see that the weight does come off. Others will see that it is okay to enjoy those special occasions with family (as @jerier said) and not worry so much. I hate that it feels like we've undone weeks worth of work, but much of it truly is water. @tiabirdie56 shared the water recipe and it really helps me after "events". The parsley seems to help the most, but I often use all 3 items in the water. With the parsley, I actually shred it up into the hot water and I include a few stems too. Seep for 10 - 12 minutes and drink plain after straining through a strainer or a paper towel. Sip like tea. It doesn't taste the greatest, but it really does work. Usually about 2 lbs per day of water for 1-2 days. You've enjoyed your uncle's birthday and that is good. You're back on track and that is fantastic. Best of all, you've shared the experience and are allowing us all to see the weight move back down over the coming days. You are helping others see that it's not the end of the world. Thanks for sharing and reminding us all that we are all human and we are not alone. We all know that you work hard at this. You are doing fantastic and I, for one, am very proud of you.6

11/04 150 time for me to start taking this more serious especially on the days that I do not have a gathering because with the holidays coming up there will be a ton of temptations. Also need to do it for my body, I just feel yucky lately and I know it's the foods.
11/05 150 Went over yesterday on all my macros and didn't get enough exercise in. Gonna be a better day today:)
11/06 150 Yesterday was a much better day . Stayed under on my macros but did end up eating back half of my exercise calories.
11/07 149.5 yay now lets not creep back up this round . LNS got me last night, and I creeped into the candy lol. Had fun size pieces, but those calories add up too!
11/08 149 getting lots of exercise in and water today because I didn't eat so great for lunch today.
11/09 149 I did stay out of sugary candies yesterday so only ate half my daily sugar intake, which is great for me. I can't believe Thanksgiving is here in 2 weeks! This year really has flown.
11/10 149 Forgot to post
11/11 149 Holding steady. I really want to try a meal plan to stick to. Currently I have added breads back into my diet. As of today, cutting the bread out again. Also, thinking of doing either the Whole 30 plan or keto starting 2019. Both would be difficult for me mainly because I love fruits which I can have on whole 30 but I can't have dairy such as yogurt. On keto I can't have fruits, and I love my fruits. Hmm.
11/12 148.5 Awesome . Happy to see the cereal craving didn't ruin my day yesterday.

Day/Weight/Comment
11/04 - 177.2 My body seems to like this number, even if I don’t. Yesterday I felt so strong and capable and that made sticking to plan and getting in my steps very easy. I am starting today also feeling strong and confident so I’m hoping I can get through all those inevitable temptations. Tomorrow is a different story. I will be traveling out of town to celebrate my daughter’s 24th birthday with a movie, a restaurant and some shopping. I will stick to plan before and after the excursion but I will ultimately enjoy the middle as we celebrate. I will try not to go overboard, but carbs add up quickly. I will be bringing home fresh parsley, cucumber and lemons for the “triple threat” concoction to offset any water bloat from the birthday lunch.
11/05 - 177.2 Great day again yesterday. Stayed with plan yet no budge on the scales. Ugg. Travel today a couple of hours away to a real Mall (that is a luxury for me!) Lots of things to experience today. I will be off plan but I will try to be reasonable. Have a great week everyone!
11/06 -179.0 Enjoyed the trip but stayed way longer than expected due to shopping. Multiple restaurant meals. The only NSV was that I managed to skip some pretty tempting desserts and just stick to meals. The movie “A Star is Born” was very good. I saw the remake in the 1970’s and it is a bit different. Lady Gaga is a phenomenal actress! And who thought she could only sing and play the piano? Bradley Cooper was excellent, as usual. I loved my time with my daughter. Since she had the baby last fall, we have not got to get away very often for fun out-of-town things. It was very nice. Tomorrow and Thursday is more travel. This is going to be a very bad round for me. I’m going to have to try to do my best but it won’t be good.
11/07 - 178.6 Was at home yesterday so I have a loss this morning. I do well at home sticking to my plan. My exercise has been way down in the past month since the cold. With no livingroom (renovation continues) I only have my work movement. That is a lot, but not continual like exercise. I hope to get moving again soon, even if it’s just marching in place I will be leaving in a few for another out of town trip to find a home depot and order carpet installation and utility room flooring. Have a great hump day everyone!
11/08 - 179.6 Ugg. However, I found my carpet and ordered the in home measuring. Also found the flooring for the utility room. Home depot has free installation right now. The Chinese food is likely retaining water from yesterday. More travel today for the injections in my head for the hair loss. About 100 miles each way from home. I will work on the bloat tomorrow after a brief trip (about 30 miles each way) to the vet clinic with my 18 ½ yr old kitty. She has a bad cold and it’s time for a senior check-up anyway. It will be nice to be home when all of this is done!
11/09 - 180.2 OMgosh. Out of town again yesterday to the Dermatologist and then home just in time for the Pool Hall & Potluck. Off to the Vet today with Reeces my kitty. It will be a straight there & back trip and because she’ll be with me, there will be no temptation to stop and eat. I’ll be doing Tish’s triple threat water today for the bloat. I will be working on this damage all weekend and catch up on all the posts which I know is always inspiring and informative. 1-4 inches of snow expected today. I’m a little nervous for this first wintry drive in a year. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.
11/10 - 179.6 Vet appointment turned out so-so. Reeces the cat’s bloodwork showed slight elevations in her BUN (kidney) and one of her liver numbers. She needs a recheck in two months. Everything else turned out good including her teeth. She had to be sedated for the bloodwork so they got a pretty good look in her mouth. Overall, not bad for her age. We tried to catch Ruby the Chicken for the past couple of days but she keeps getting away, then going back up in the tree. About 2 inches of snow on the ground now. We contacted the closest farm who agreed she is probably theirs, but they’ve made no attempt to help. I talked to the vet yesterday who does housecalls on the farms. He said to throw a medium weight blanket over her to catch her. We may try that today if I can get help. I am sad to lose her, but it is in her best interest. Happy with the scale this morning. I drank Tish’s triple threat water yesterday evening and stayed with plan. I felt pretty strong.
11/11 -177.6 Whoosh. Gone is the water weight. So, so much easier when I am at home. Not that there are not temptations, but it just feels like there is no food that I can’t easily have some other time. Away from home or on the Thursday potlucks are just tough, tough, tough because it feels like a “missed opportunity” to eat new things. I am going to try some of the ideas I’ve been given and mailed, and I’m going to try to consider seeing better choices when out of town as a “missed opportunity” to become stronger, healthier and more successful.
11/12 - 177.6 Same old, same old. Had a very good day yesterday. A few weak moments but I managed to get past them successfully. I sipped my triple threat “tea” and got less done around the house than I wanted. They are coming to measure for carpet on Thursday and my house is full of boxes and mess from the livingroom reno that is almost done. Oh my. Drywall dust still everywhere and lots to be packed and done. I don’t know how I’ll get through this. After the measure will be the worst as the whole house is being recarpeted (all but the kitchen & bathroom). This is so much packing and moving everything out from room to room. Will I survive? During times like this I miss my husband even more!

@quiltingjaine I mistyped, meant to write the doctor said I've gone from a viral infection to a bacterial infection, which is why he is prescribing antibiotics now.1 -

It's morphed into a viral infection, so I am starting antibiotics today and hope to bounce back quickly! I haven't been logging , or able to exercise, but just trying to maintain until I am back to feeling 100%. I'll catch back up and join back in during the next round. See you there
EDITED: Meant to above type..."morphed from a viral infection to a bacterial infection".2 -
I'm back! I went to a naturopath and feel much better. She gave me some digestive enzymes, just to help with the uncomfortable and heavy feeling I've been having lately and the enzymes are definitely helping. I am waiting for the results of the food allergy test and when those results come back in a couple of weeks, I am going to go over the results with the nutritionist and make a game plan on what to do. I am also going to see my PCP this Friday just to make sure there isn't anything more, but based on the fact I am starting to feel better with the enzymes I definitely believe there are food allergy/sensitivity issues.
11/4--218.4 Joined the gym last week and started Strong Curves. Went to the gym this morning and did W4D2 of c25k yesterday. Going out to dinner tonight and then taking my MIL to see Joan Baez in concert. My MIL loves Joan Baez.
11/5--220.6 Water weight from dinner and lack of water. Will probably show up again tomorrow as I took my MIL out for breakfast and did not drink a lot of water today. I will be travelling for a presentation tomorrow, so my schedule will be out of whack for another day. Even though it was my day off today, I got up early and went to the gym.
11/6--220.4 Will be going out for lunch today. Goal today is to get water in.
11/7--220.9 The last of my days where I am eating out. Today I'm back on track and getting my water in. Yoga tonight.
11/8--220.6 Woke up 45 minutes earlier this morning and went to the gym before work. Felt bloated and heavy all day yesterday and still feeling a little bloated this morning. I forgot to take my digestive enzymes at lunch yesterday and I forgot to bring them with me to work today again, ugh.
11/9--220.0 Happy hour/good-bye party tonight for co-worker who is leaving. Plan is to drink a lot of water today and eat lighter for the rest of the day to limit the amount of damage tonight.
11/10--220.9 Had a little too much to drink last night and feeling it this morning. Other than a walk with the dog will definitely be taking it easy today. Went to my PCP yesterday and she didn't find anything wrong with my gallblader, liver, or pancreas. She did find that my large intestines were a little distended, but she was not surprised on that based on my bloated/fullness symptoms. She agreed that my symptoms are most likely food related and agreed with working with the naturopath/nutrtionist on possible food allergies, so that was reassuring.
11/11--220.0
11/12--220.0 Forgot to post yesterday. Stomach is feeling weird again today. I'm being more conscious of how I feel after eating certain foods and I think I'm starting to figure some things out about how what foods are affecting me, but until I get the results of my allergy test it's still hit or miss.

I would like to be at the bottom of the 150’s by the end of this round. Starting weight is 155. Would like to be 153.
Day/Weight/Comment
11/04 - 157.5 went up 2 pounds. Uuugghh! I knew it was going to be up. Yesterday I stepped on the scale and saw 155 for the first time. Officially down 20 pounds, so I overindulged and treated myself with a lot of food and a couple of beers. My biggest problem is I love to celebrate anything and everything with food and beer. Lol, had an amazing dinner with my hubby and probably had 1 to many drinks. Well worth it, no regrets, but trying to learn how to balance my celebrating. Drinking lots of water and back on track today. I’m sure it will be back down by tomorrow or the next day.
11/05 - 157.0 still up 2 pounds from Saturday, but the weekends are the hardest for me. Had a couple beers last night watching the game with my husband and pretty much just lounged all day. It was actually a very nice day. For some reason the older kids were home and decided to hang out and watch tv with us for most of it. Very unusual that they are home on the weekends. They wanted to order pizza, so we agreed. I had one piece and ate a salad. Drinking lots of water today and will stay in calories. Being at work really helps me stay on routine. Hopefully tomorrow I will see 155 again!
11/06 - 156.3 So back to Fridays weight, almost Saturdays weight. Did well last night, made teriyaki chicken and rice for the family. Put the chicken on a salad for myself and only had a couple of bites of rice while making the kids plates. Lots of water and no alcohol. Hopefully tomorrow I see that 155 again.
11/07 - 155.6 Nice! Back to Saturdays weight, lol. Forever bouncing around. Still down a pound for this month. Made great food choices last night and had plenty of water. Hubby's bday today, so hopefully we will celebrate with me choosing to eat a salad for dinner and not having to many glasses of beer. We will be off for the next 4 days, so wish me luck!
11/08 - 155.6 No change which was good. Got through my husband's birthday dinner with all the kids and survived with my salad. Did have a margarita that I was concerned about, but I guess didn't affect me. Still trying to get used to having my son bring his girlfriend with him to dinner. They were talking about moving in together after they get through this first year of college, which weirds me out, but trying to let them make their own adult decisions. Uuuuggg, I thought after they moved out this parenting thing would get easier, lol. On a good note, the husband and I are leaving for a mini vaca tonight and aren't taking any of the kids. Will be back Sunday. Hopefully I don't completely ruin my diet.
11/09 - out of town
11/10 - out of town
11/11 - out of town
11/12 - 159.8 Uuuugggh!! So sad, how did I gain 4 pounds in the last 4 days. Hopefully most of it is water, sodium, and carbs weight that will come off. I don't think I am making my goal this time. My husband and I went out of town for his birthday (first time without any of the kids in forever), so it is what it is. We drank, ate, and had a blast. A much needed getaway for both of us. I knew when I ate that entire bowl of spinach dip and chips with my beer at the airport I was going to be hating the scale this morning, lol. I may end with a gain this time around, but it should be gone by next round and I will start over. Thought I would be in the 140's by now, but it is taking longer than I thought.
