11/14 - Wednesday - 177.6 - I still find myself typing 19X when going to record my weight. My brain cannot fathom that I'm in the 170's! I had a crackpot goal to be 175 before thanksgiving but that seems pretty extreme given its a week away and the end of this round is a day after thanksgiving - yikes! Okay, considering that I think I'll actually aim to maintain this round. Finding a balance between enjoying my favorite holiday guilt free and not binging for the entire weekend. Fortunately, we are going out this year, so I wont be totally tempted by all the leftovers - but we will probably cook a bird and make some soup over the weekend. I'm committing NOW to next round as to not let myself slip into holiday regression. Last night I overindulged a bit so scale may be up a bit tomorrow. Desperately need to go to the grocery store and stock up on healthy options again. Been basically cleaning out the cupboards for the past week!
11/15 - Thursday - 176.8 - Been visualizing that 176! Solid morning, fish oil, smoothie, packed lunches, snacks, and got dinner on deck with a chicken teriyaki salad! Weather has me feeling especially dry and dehydrated so I'll focus on water today. Probably working from home tomorrow so I planned to make extra dinner to have for lunches tomorrow so we're not tempted to order out or snack our way thru the day at home. Went grocery shopping and have a good plan to get us thru the weekend fed with yummy, home cooked, whole foods. Been craving Zuppa Toscana so making a copy cat!

@ghy5 when I have snowed in days or terribly cold weather I go onto YouTube to look up different exercises I can do. It's fun finding new workouts and easy to search for your fitness level. There are even walking videos to help with your steps when you can't go out!! Just a suggestion.

11/14 - 185.4 - Busy day. Did pretty well on food intake. Lifted early in the morning to make up for Monday's lift that I missed and then played over 2 hours of full court basketball last night. Over 22,000 steps total on the day. We will see if I can continue to decrease from this weight over the next 10 days.
11/15 - 185.2 - Had a pretty good day. Solid calorie deficit and got a good lift in last night. A little worried that I possibly have an inguinal hernia. Getting it checked out on Monday. Hoping that isn't it because I have made pretty good progress in the weight room and really don't want to give that progress back and have to build back up if I have to have surgery. But it is what it is. Either way, I will keep working toward my goal.

11/15 147.6 Well worth this bump, had an unexpected great day with my oldest daughter, shopping and catching up and just overall amazing. She is moving to New Zealand for a year after Christmas, so these days are extra cherished! We are both usually so busy with life that we don't get to do that as much as when she was younger. The day started off with our FAVORITE english muffin, which despite many trials I have not been able to recreate at home. Any bakers out htere have a recipe?? (the egg pudding wasn't too shabby either!)

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. On the other hand when I look at the big picture and the averages it has been a consistent loss except for two rounds. Round 53 was my 50 birthday celebrations that upped my weight for a few days.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

I didn't have time this morning to pack anything except for a small sandwich until dinner but I have everything planned for dinner so it should be fine as long as I stick to it which I plan to. They continue to prep cement floor for new flooring which will likely be installed tomorrow. I will probably miss pool and pot luck tonight. I do not have time to make a dish to pass & will not go empty handed. Opening day of rifle deer hunting in my area which will keep me very busy working. Most hunters arrived yesterday evening. Our very small town is full of hunters. I could not find a loaf of bread Anywhere in this town at 7:00 last night. I forgot to shop early. It will be hectic here through Thanksgiving weekend. I will do my best to stick to plan but grab & go is likely on some of these days. Uggg. I did manage to get in a little food prepping so that will help, but Iβve been trying to keep the house clean & uncomplicated because of all the different workers in & out. I really just want to get through this in the next few weeks.

I havenβt gone way overboard but my occasional βtreatβ seems to have become an everyday or even twice a day thing which would be ok for maintenance but is sabotaging any loss. So my goal this round is to dial that back and absolutely no LNS even if it is low calorie. The excuse in my head is always that βI canβt sleep well if Iβm hungry.β The truth is that it is a lifetime habit - that I can break. @MIpiccolo YAY on falling off jeans! When I visited my older daughter last month she told me I needed to get some jeans that fit because the ones I was wearing looked as if I had a load in my pants! RUDE! LOL!! I had to pull them up every time I stood up so I knew they needed to go. Gotta love a kid (sheβs almost 48) who speaks the truth!

This is my sixth round. I am starting not to freak out as much over the daily fluctuations. Went up a little bit at the end of last round, so 2.5 isn't too unreasonable. On the other hand, I've been pushing a 1000 calorie deficit for 2.5 weeks now and I think I'm going to have a slightly smaller deficit this round.

11/14 166.5 -- Phew. I was super hungry and craving sweets and honestly everything yesterday. Kept trying to have a healthy filling something and it was all subtraction stew. Jogged in place at 10 pm to finish my steps and cover my extra snacking, so still had a big deficit. Glad to see that my indulgence in a scone did not move the scale the wrong way!!
11/15 166 -- Nice to see. Interesting observation: I am doing a monthly support group with a weekly weigh in. In that group I had a 3 lb loss last week, despite only a 1 lb loss in Round 57. Then this week, having finished round 58 with a 3 pound loss, I posted a .5 pound gain. Puts things in perspective about daily fluctuations! On another note NSV--three people at the gym yesterday independently commented on how good I looked and the weight I had lost. I've lost 33 lbs since June. I don't think the first 20 were so noticeable, but now there is a difference!13 -

11/14β217βNothing making a ton of sense right now, weight-wise, but as long as it's just bouncing around in this range, it's all good. Still working on the 100 pushups challenge but had to restart week 2. I'm definitely getting better at pushups!
11/15βDNWβI was rushing to get out the door to get to the airport to catch a flight. Well, I didn't have to hurry! The plane is still sitting on the tarmac. I'm not in it, though. I was heading out of town for a conference but we sat and sat then came back to the gate and sat, then they were reboarding and I realized I wasn't going to make my session! So I came home instead.

11/15 147.5 Got into the cereal yesterday and had taco bake for dinner so my carbs were a little more than I would have liked, and no exercise. I plan to get a good workout in today .

11/14 - 145.
11/15 - 145. 6 cookies made their way into my belly yesterday, which put me way over my targets. There are still 6 more left on the counter, they are going in the garbage when I get home.
11/16 - 145. I went to throw out those cookies yesterday and my son gave me a shocked sad face. "You're throwing those out? I didn't even get to eat one," he said. I thought the whole family had been helping me demolish that package of cookies, but it looks like I was doing most of the work by myself. Haha, that means that over a period of 4 days, I ate 15 or 16 large cookies!! I definitely didn't log that many. It was some seriously mindless snacking. So, that's behind me now. Instead of working hard eating cookies, yesterday I did a lot of stepping. I restarted C25K to get a little conditioning in prior to the Jingle Bell run this year, spent some time on the elliptical machine and went on a walk. I ended up with close to 20k steps by the end of the day and woke up feeling great today.
