What I've found that helps me is to drink some water when I get these "hunger" feelings at night. Helps most of the time. If that doesn't work, I will eat some pickles or make a salt infused and Mio flavored drink. Usually, the feeling goes away after that.

Soup! I totally wanted more food after dinner last night and even though I knew it was weigh-in day the next morning I was still toying around with the idea of making some rice and beans. But instead I decided to have a cup of the butternut squash soup I had made earlier in the day. And wouldn't you know, it totally satisfied my craving for something more but with way less calories. Finding healthier alternatives to foods you're trying to avoid is sometimes better than not eating at all - fruits instead of sweets etc. Somehow I'd forgotten that.

I haven't been eating at night, but I have been eating a little more during the day because of holiday availability of food...I need to keep an eye on that.

The last two nights I've snacked after dinner - which goes in the "lose" column. However, it wasn't full-blown eat-everything-I-can-get-my-hands-on snacking so that goes in the "win" column.
