Tried a new thing last night: doubled my protein for dinner (2 salmon files instead of one) and added another 100g of sweet potatoes. Super yummy and totally filled me up BUT I still had this niggling need for something more. Thankfully I'd saved half of my morning smoothie and after I finished it I had no cravings and felt happily satisfied. Can't remember the last time I finished dinner and felt satisfied without stuffing myself, so it felt like a bit of a miracle. Will do the same this evening to see if it was just a one off or if it's a good approach for dealing with my late evening cravings.
Also, I've stopped buying beans in bulk so there's none in the flat to tempt me. I'll just buy a can every ones in a while as a treat. So funny how they've become such a trigger food for me.3 -
