@dawnbgethealthy, Yaay! you got a new scale. My old and first digital scale was a Conair WW scale. I was very happy with it. Before that I owned several analog scales, the last being a Homedics, which was touted to be one of the most accurate back in the early 90's. I definitely believe in the digital scale weight so, CONGRATS on your new found weight loss! As far as this forum, I suggest just posting both analog (as old scale) and digital scale (as new scale) weights on your weigh in date, then proceed with weights from your new scale. Others on these challenge forums have done the same.1

It is going to look like I lost 7 pounds in one day.
What do you suggest that I do with this forum? I changed my starting weight for MFP, that wasn't too hard.
I guess that I have lost just under 9 pounds total, not 16.8 total.
Seeing a weight drop on the scale always motivates me. Super motivated today!! Haha, guess that I will go to Zumba class today : - )

@deepwoodslady, Donna, I have to believe that your holding a ton of fluid. Even if you don't feel tired now, I know you have to be with the non stop activity. Tiredness, extra sodium, low on water intake ( because it's got to be low on days you aren't at home) the exercise that you're trying to fit in, all contribute to fluid retention. Drink as much of your infused water every day you can and take a couple of stretch breaks throughout the day when you can. I've always found that for me, stretching helps release fluid retention in my muscles. {{{hugs}}} You're gonna get through this. Maintenance calories is not a bad idea until the holidays are over, but do it with caution. I suggest, Choose one meal a day to have some extra calories if you are feeling hungry.0

12/9 - 177.4 - Ate the heck out of some pretzels.
📌12/10 - 178.8 - Temporary. My pretzel frenzy really wasn't. I only had 2ozs of them, but I do Keto, so there's fluid to reckon with.
12/11 - 176.6 - Lucky ducky today, because I ate 700 calories worth of gourmet potato chips yesterday. No regrets. They were delicious and I'll take the hit tomorrow if it comes.

So for December looking for a moderate loss, and no gaining anything.
Dec 1 228.8
Dec 8 228.0
Down just a half pound, this week I am really going after sodium as increasing it. Reason is 6 days last week, I woke up at some point in night with terrible foot and leg cramps. Also bought some zero powerade, and been drinking one 32 oz bottle on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. May get more as something is off kilter and I need to get that back on track. My potassium level taken less than 3 weeks ago was high normal so not that. If it keeps up I will ask for a check on the electrolytes over all.
December 15 227.5
Small loss, I will take it. Still drinking the zero Powerade. Still having odd leg and foot cramps. I do stretches every day. Saw all my electrolyte numbers they look fine. But I suspect it could be magnesium related. So I started taking a supplement yesterday. I have 5 of the top 8 symptoms. And will ask my Dr who I see on the 20th. Who will be amazed again. When I saw her in September I had lost 46 pounds from my starting weight. And now she will see I have lost another 31 or so pounds. I have more clothes on when weighed in Dr. office than when I weigh at home.
My AC1 has gone from being 12.4 in January 2018 to 6.1 in December 2018. So from totally uncontrolled diabetes status to now considered pre-diabetic numbers.
Dec 22 226.0
Down 2.8 pounds so far this month. Not bad for month of December. Really hoping for no gain/no loss for Christmas week. Must remember drink a glass of water first.
May you all enjoy your Holiday and spend with people who bring joy to your Lives!5 -
December 1 - 193 - up one pound from yesterday : - (
December 2 -193 - glad that I didn't gain, I was pretty over-indulgent over the weekend.
December 3 -194 - kind of discouraged with the fluctuation. I had a good day, expected a loss.
December 4 -194 - I really expected to be less this morning. On track to lose.
December 5 -192 - back to where I was at the end of last month's challenge.
December 6 -191 - Wow! Lots of days left to get down to that next decade. Seeing the scale move is motivating!
December 7 -191 - Getting excited to get out of the 90s, hopefully by next week
December 8 -192 - Dang. Oh well, I will stick with it. I over-ate yesterday and expected this. Very easy to put on, hard to take off.
December 9 - 192
December 10 -191- Good. Monday morning. Easier for me to be diligent during the week, so hope to see another drop this week. 2 steps forward 1 step back still equals going forward : - )
December 11 -193 - Geez do I fluctuate!
December 12 -191 - Skated yesterday. It seems like no matter what I consume, that I lose weight after I skate.
December 13 - Skated again, I think that I have messed up my calendar here, because the 191 should have been the 13th.
December 14 -193. Unbelievable, 2 days of skating and up 2 pounds? Really expected a loss today. I don't measure my inches until the 27th. Glad that I am not weighing once per week, seeing as how this fluctuation is going. I actually like seeing it, I didn't realize that it could be like that. 2 pounds is a lot!
December 15 -193
December 16 -193. Funny, I feel lighter but the scale isn't budging. Went out to Zumba class yesterday and really expected to see it on the scale. Maybe tomorrow.
December 17 -192
December 18 -192
December 19 -190.5
December 20 -190 - I am thinking of getting a digital scale like y'all seem to have. I just have an old school one.
December 21 -190 - Looks even slightly less than that, but I am on a "regular" scale. I did buy a digital scale yesterday, but after setting it up I stepped on it 5 times and each time it was different so I will return it today and try to get a better one. Skated yesterday - 600 calorie burn, I have been at good input levels all week.
December 22 -182.2 - New scale. 189.2-ish on my old scale
December 23 -181.5 - Unbelievable since I had a steak with all of the trimmings, alcohol drinks. Maybe it will catch up with me, maybe it is because of the Zumba yesterday.

Hi Tia. So do you do the 16/8 intermittent fasting?
You are down three pounds for December so far, but have lost tremendously over all, like 77 pounds! What is your ultimate goal?2 -

Thanks for the help. All great ideas. I just loaded up on more parsley & cucumbers yesterday while out shopping. I will drink as much as I can today. I have a birthday party for grandson today & I will try to take it easy. I do feel so bloated, like I'm a major star in a movie and they pack on fake blubber around my belly to make to bigger to fit the role. It feels horrible. Stretching is also a great idea. Thanks again!

@maureenkhilde, Congrats on your loss! But your A1c number is fantastic news!
@dawnbgethealthy, A new low weight! 👏👏👏
Yes, I intermittent fast 16/8. Usually though it ends up being 20/4 or OMAD. I did struggle with being on consistent hours with IF in November and at times during this month due to being hungry into my fasting hours. Those starchy bread carbs create a hunger! My ultimate goal is 135, but I need to get to 150 first and then evaluate. I need to start building my muscle back. I lost some muscle mass in 2017 not being able to exercise much because of a few injuries. Ankle, shoulders and knee. Knee is still resistant, but I gotta move on!
@deepwoodslady, Donna, you're welcome. Just trying to think of anything I can to help you through. I drink the "triple threat" every day now as part of my water. Only time I'm without it is when I need more ingredients.0 -
