    !

Well...not much progress on the weight side of things, but boy I have been eating super good now for the last 7 weeks. No bingeing on sugary/carby foods at all. And my consumption of diet pop has dropped! I still enjoy a natural sugar free cola flavored beverage (zevia), but hardly any diet pepsi with the bad artificial sweeteners in it. So I'm calling this a huge win for me!

Sugary sodas or subs have always been a problem for me. I Suggest trying stevia and fresh lemon in water. Cheaper than zevia and just as good.

    Thankyou for hosting carlsoda

Hey all , another week down ! We are getting so close to the end of the year 😱 anyway I’ve been eating close to maintenance; however I’m still losing weight. About a pound a week. I’m guessing MFP is underestimating my workout calories. I’m 137 and my ultimate goal weight is 135.
    SW: 150
    CW:137
    CGW: 140
    UGW: 135

GOAL FOR THIS WEEK: hitting protein goals, I’ve been missing on that macro lately

Great job @Liftinglex and @butters1 - I am so happy for both of you!! What a way to celebrate the holiday season with family!!

This week has been crazy for me, between eating out at a pancake house for a work breakfast and a lunch at work yesterday with <<gasp>> amazing cookies, I haven't been as good as I should be, but I also haven't been bad either compared to years past. I'm still so impressed with the change in me. This weekend I'll be making dozens of cookies to decorate with my grandkids on Monday plus I'm making some low carb cookies for me and the hubs. We'll see where I am on Monday morning, but either way I'm just impressed with the change in my mindset. How many years did this take - too many!! :)

With the upcoming holidays I want to remind you to make sure you slow down and take some time for yourself. You are just as important as everyone else!

    Great job everyone!!!

While my goal weight was 145, and I don't think I'll reach that in the next week, I'm still pretty proud of myself. I've lost 5 pounds during the holiday season! I've just got to keep this up, another week and a half and we'll be out of the temptation time of year.

Final weigh in - we made it!

    CW: 153.8
    GW: 144
Challenge Weight Loss to achieve: 9.8 lbs

    10/15/18: 152.8 (1 lb loss!)
    10/22/18: 152.2 (1/2 lb loss!)
    10/29/18: 155.6 (oops - hoping it's just water weight)
    11/05/18: 152.6 (back on track!)
11/19/18: 155.6 (back up but was traveling over the weekend)
    11/26/18: 152.8
    12/03/18: 152.8
    12/10/18: 152.6
    12/17/18: 151.6
    12/21/18: 151.8
    12/31/18: 148.2

Almost made it! A couple of things I have figured out: daily yoga mixed with steps helps a lot, no dairy, I think it causes inflammation in my body. Other than those two changes, nothing else has really changed. I have been a lot more consistent not eating any treats or sugar, just occasionally like Christmas Day 😂

I wish you all a very Happy New Year and hope you all hit your goals for 2019!

Happy new year and thank you for your encouragement.
    Start weight: 153
    End weight: 147
That's 6 pounds lost during the holiday season. That's weight lost even after movie theater popcorn and champagne yesterday. Did I mention my Mr. gave me new 5lb hand weights for Christmas? Lovely coated weights with no rust like the ones in the basement.
My New Year Resolution: Use my new weights at least 3 times a week.

Happy new year everyone! Thank you Carlsoda for this challenge, it helped. SW 163, CW 159.6 so down 3.4 pounds over the 12 weeks. Went pretty off the rails the last 2 weeks. Then I came to my senses two days ago, and am back on to a very healthy approach. Overall, I am amazed and relieved I am not heavier. I can still zip up my "slim" winter coat but have worried the zipper will break  It's good I am back on track! Best wishes all.
