Hello, my name is Cheryl. I'm 48 and with God's strength I will become healthy after 30 years of being unhealthy. If anyone has advice, or wants to add me your welcome too.0

Hello, I was in great shape when I was 39 and then stopped running. I used to run for 1 hour every 3 to 4 days plus strength training. Then I stopped completely and now at age 51 I am 72lbs over weight. I started mfp app 2 weeks ago and have been crushing it. Lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks doing cardio and strength training. I feel like Im coming alive again. Thanks

I have been logging with this feature on and it allows me to eat more but I don’t know if that’s the most efficient way to lose the weight I’m trying to lose. I’m less than a week in so I’m new to counting calories.
You don't need premium to track your calories. I think it gives you more options for counting macros. I lost like 40lb just using the basic membership, working out, counting calories and I'd rarely eat the calories back. I have this issue with efficiency so to me not eating calories back was the most efficient way to do this haha. I also work out a lot because my hobbies are sports4 -
Spent the day with my wife and younger daughter taking our dog for a 2.5 mile walk around a beautiful lake. Great weather for a walk. Wish my oldest wasn’t working. I missed her being with the family.3

What a fun new years day. It was cold but my boy and I met some friends of mine to go skate outside. So Canadian and perfect for the winter. Also spent most of the skate towing my boy behind me as he hung onto my shirt

2018 I floundered trying to find balance, losing friends along the way. Divested myself of two toxic trainers one after the other. 2019 I will find balance and whether its by myself or not it will be ok either way. Do you.....in the end you only have yourself to answer to.6

Got a lovely night snowshoe in yesterday.

In my opinion MFP adds too many calories for the exercise, I gain if I eat that many extra calories. My personal strategy is to set my calories a bit higher and then don't eat any back for exercise. Good luck!0 -
Great to see so many people motivated this year, I'm aiming to continue slow and steady weight loss for the year, lost 6.7kg since august through calorie counting and exercise (mainly walk, swim, yoga with the occasional jog). Good luck to everyone, and feel free to add me if you want more friends, I'm 50 and in Australia.2
