01/03 286.4 and 8.0pounds down since I started. Hoping to find Fitbit charger so I can accurately check my calories burned daily.

01/04 285.2 I normally weigh in every morning after I get up and pee so this is a nice way to be able to log everything. *Update on my day although not weight related* Found out my father in law has cancer in the hips and lungs today, feeling so down and bad for my MIL. They are such good people and she lost her dad last January so this is really a blow to her.

01/05 284.9: 9.1 lbs down. Maybe tomorrow I’ll hit 10. 🤞🏾🤞🏾

am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.

I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40, thanks @GrandmaJackie. My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

This is my second round. Trying to shed that stubborn last 10 pounds! Highest weight was 190 lbs. Lowest weight was 145 lbs. Current weight 165 lbs. Goal weight 155 lb. Have been exploring Keto the last 6 months. Now will aim to stay Keto for the next 5ish weeks and plan a 48 hour fast next week to see what autophagy looks like for me.

01/04 165.9 I had too much salt yesterday. I’m still learning to properly balance electrolytes while on ketosis. I’ll drink extra water today. It’ll be hard to avoid carbs today. I’m spending the afternoon and evening with my son’s family (grandchildren ♥️) so supper will be a challenge.
01/05 164.4 Still in ketosis this morning 😊 Rough night though. Woke up at 4 with irregular heartbeat and feeling faint. Potassium too low I think? Ate 1/4 cup of frozen chopped spinach. After an hour heartbeat was normal. Will be upping potassium rich keto foods for the next while. Bring on the avocados! Yum!

I remember the icy roads and the 8 mile, 45 minute drive to the base at 2AM, and the poor fellow at the gate trying to chip the ice off the sticker which gave us access to the base, his panic when Carl said I was in labor. AT 5:08AM, a beautiful 8# 1 oz, healthy baby girl appeared. She has become a beautiful woman, a wonderful mom, and a caring nurse.
1/5 130.5 Our new mattress was delivered yesterday. I wish I could say I felt I slept great on it but I think there will be an adjustment period. I hope.

01/03--213.4 Went to the gym to lift weights this morning and while I know a lot more people go to the gym at the start of the year I was still surprised that at 5 am there were so many more people than usual. It's rainy and windy today, so I will probably just do some work arond the house as I continue to wait for the shutdown to end.
01/04--215.3 Bump in weight due to extra water retention and extra sodium from going out to eat last night, it was a last minute decision. Definitely feeling heavy this morning. Today I have to run around and do some errands and do some cleaning to get ready for tomorrow when the in-laws come by to celebrate my husbands' and my brother-in-laws' birthdays. Plan today is to make sure I get my water in.
01/05--216.2 Normal for me to have a second day bump in weight after eating out. Feeling very heavy this morning, I'm sure I ate something that I was allergic to when I went out to eat 2 days ago. Going out for a birthday lunch today, so I have to be more conscious of what I am eating today. If weather holds up I will take dog for a wallk after the birthday festivities today.

01/04 – 163.6 – Yesterday started out great but ended in disaster with RJ’s chocolate licorice twists. Thurs. I have knitting group in the morning which is always fun but get groceries in the afternoon which I never feel like doing … and then I buy something for a treat “now & then” only it often ends up being now. The other part of the disaster was that I had determined to do some planning, but I don’t feel like doing it. Well, I’m going to start on it today anyhow, whether my childish self feels like it or not.
01/05 – 164.4 – Scale was determined to say this although it seems odd. Thursday I was probably 450 calories over but the rest of the week has been good. No gym yesterday but calories were good. Today I have no car but doing exercises at home and also have to clean house so a more active day.

01/04 371 – yesterday was not a blue dot day but I made some good choices -- not a lot of processed foods, and I made my 7000 step goal. I was up yesterday because of salt eaten the previous day, so I attribute the 2 pound loss to water I drank to rid my body of the salt. Either way I will take it

@wellnfree, @quiltingjaine, @saleewins, @Astrue, @FarmerCarla Thanks for your support regarding my friend Joey's attempt to sabotage. The great thing about this challenge is that we can look to eachother not just for guidance regarding our physical health, but for support for our mental & emotional health as well. It is all tied in together after all! I asked Joey to go down to the school yesterday about school closing time so we could get in before they locked up. Together we walked 2 miles (he did whine all the way). It's always nice to have a walking partner, but I also wanted him to see my commitment and how hard I am willing to work at this. The only thing I mentioned was that I planned on having my "cheat" moments when I'm traveling (I do enough of that!) but not at home or locally. Then I just let the walk speak for itself. Thanks again for cheering me on. I feel that much more resolve today!

01/03 185.5 Stuck in the depths of a living hell with my scale, however, I successfully stayed on course with my diet and exercise plan. I am THRILLED to report that my son joined me in the aerobic dancing and agreed to follow his special diet plan WITHOUT COMPLAINT. Because of his eating disorders (due to the Autism) I felt truly inspired. If he can do this so gracefully, so can I. And so I succeeded in all my efforts. I just wish the scale would budge. Metimucil tonight for sure (Intermittent Fasting today). I am going to skip pool tonight. It is a potluck feast and I’ve had enough of those in December to stuff a pig : ) I need this good jumpstart to get things going. I also need to return the gesture and be the inspiration that my son deserves. Good luck everyone on #64.
01/04 185.4 It’s a small change, but a change nonetheless. Last night I invited my old friend Joey over to watch Christmas movies. I really wanted to enjoy the last of the twinkling Christmas Tree and to show myself that life is good even when I cannot indulge or overeat. He constantly claims to be “on a diet” and is using the calorie counting method only. He asked me if he could bring icecream or popcorn for a snack during the movie. I told him no. Please eat before he comes as I am restarting my plan, am struggling with willpower and need to stay on track to get my body jumpstarted. He showed up with a share-sized bag of some type of chips (looked like maybe a flavored Doritos ?) and soda pop. I told him that if he wanted to go home and finish eating before he comes (like I asked) to go ahead, he could come back in awhile. Otherwise, I asked him to put his food in the car. I told him he could keep the soda if necessary or I had water and some sugar free options available. He kept the soda. I was a little ticked about the whole thing and was brutally honest with him. I’m not sure if it was sabotage, selfishness or stupididy, but I know I was very clear that I didn’t want to have any snacking while I’m still very fragile. It was only 2 hours and I knew he could have came pre-fed. I had already explained to him about how eating carbs so consistently through the holidays put me in a state of cravings, weakness for carbs etc. I spent the evening trying to be nice in spite of my feelings. While he sipped on his soda I made myself a miracle tea. My own homemade concoction of green tea, lemon, ACV, stevia, red pepper flakes, turmeric powder with a touch of black pepper for absorption, and I added a bit of parsley sprigs to it while steeping. It felt like an exotic drink and I enjoyed it. I let it calm me and help me get over my touch of anger. We watched “The Christmas Chronicles” with Kurt Russell which was better than I expected. In the end I was proud of myself for staying strong and showing up for myself. I’ve known him many years so that did help. I am not strong like this everyday, but I truly want to stay strong in my own home & environment as that is where I spend 80-90% of my time (I work from home). Sorry for the rant, but how dare he?
01/05 185.4 AGAIN. A little disappointed in this. I walked 5.5 miles yesterday including a planned walk inside the school of 2 miles. Ate way below calories at 977. Net carbs of 19. Over 12,000 steps. I was a little low on all my macros because my calories were a bit too low. However, for the amount of calories I ate, my protein, fat etc was right in balance with my goals. I guess I will just have to wait it out. My body’s a little angry with me right now perhaps. Walt Disney and Cinderella taught me long ago not to worry, my whoosh will come true at some point

01/03 = 160 So far so good with my eating. I kind of hate being back on the wagon, but the day is almost over, so very little opportunity left to fall off.
01/04 = 158.5 very happy to see the scale move in the right direct for the first day, even if I know, intellectually, one day's change is pretty meaningless. Today was a good day for moving and good for eating. I found my lost fitbit and stuck it on the charger so I can be more accurate with sleep and step tracking.
01/05 = 158.1 Yesterday was a good day. Hit all my water in and didn't snack late night, even though I really wanted to. Today will be tougher because we are going to a brewery for lunch with friends and they don't have nutritional information available. I have to guess.
