How did I do it? Calorie counting. Seriously, that is all. I started working out about two months ago but it was more to improve my overall health than support my weight loss. I started this journey on 02/19/2018 and reached my goal weight on 11/03/2018. Just over six months and 58lbs down. Now to maintain it which I think will be the most difficult part! Thank goodness for MFP.
Wowza! Your journey is pretty similar to my current and goal. Well done. Thanks for sharing the inspiration. Xxx22 -

My first actual 'before' picture when I decided I needed to make a change. 216.5 pounds. April of 2014.
This was taken today. I'm hovering around 150 pounds. I never imagined that I'd end up looking acceptable in a dress, or that I'd actually feel excited to purchase dresses.
Wow, you look like a totally different person!28 -

@DennisGetFit
Amazing job man!
Were you eating in a deficit those 3 months? Or were you more eating at maintenance and working out hard?
Just curious as the muscle gain and fat loss combo seems legendary!4 -

@mikea2g Thanks a lot man! I appreciate it.
During the first month and a half, I was more so maintaining in terms of my caloric deficit while also only going to the gym once or twice a week because I wasn't as motivated at that time.
During the last month and a half, I started giving myself a 750-1250 calorie deficit after learning about intermittent fasting and overall how fat loss happens in general. I paired that up with going to do an intense workout 4-5 days a week and spending about an hour there give or take.
I am doing a little bit of cardio but I am letting most of the fat loss occur from the deficit and workouts.

I never let anyone take my picture and I always found better angles. As a matter of fact, the pained look on my face was because my mother was taking my picture in spite of my protests. It hurts to see myself looking that way, but I keep reminding myself that I’m changing it. Here’s my 73lb difference.
Wow! Amazing transformation. You look great and I bet you feel better too.19 -

Current is 129lbs size 4 going lower, 28 inch waist. Same height LOL!

Thanks for posting your pictures everyone. They are very inspirational. I'm just starting this journey - down 15 pounds so far in about 3 weeks. I am taking pictures so I can compare for myself - maybe I'll post as times goes on. Keep the pics coming.12

This is a "during" shot. I started in December and have lost 19 pounds. It's going slower than I'd like, but I'm okay with that. I'm 1/5 of the way to my goal and hoping to make it by the end of the year. If not, I'll keep going because I'm going to get there. I'm tired of living the way I was back in December.
