Help with what?1 -
eat less, move more
you're welcome10 -
Folks here will be glad to help you - we all started somewhere - but you need to communicate your needs a little better. Even if you "don't know what you don't know" you have to say that. How do you need help? What are your concerns? What are your goals?6
-
One of the best places to start is by reading the "sticky posts" found at the top of the Getting Started forum. It will help you understand how to make the most out of MFP and how a calorie deficit works, etc. Start slow and get the hang of managing your food intake.6
-
Are you trying to figure out how to exercise with kids? Take them to the park. Dance with them.
But always remember that weightloss depends on how much you eat. Health depends on what you eat and how consistently you move.2 -
Best help I can give is-
get a digital food scale.
Once you have it, weigh all your food. Meat veg, snacks, packaged. All things.
Liquids, measuring cups and spoons. Oils and dressings are high calorie, so don’t forget them.
Now you have your scale, learn how to log. There is a learning curve, but once you have the correct entry for an item it stays with you- no more searching.
Double check your entries, as there are a lot that are incorrect. The USDA data base is good for single items, the package or mfg website for prepackaged items.
Have a reasonable deficit, 1lbs a week would be good, and eat food you like.
No need for diet food or labeling food good, bad, junk, healthy or unhealthy,
All food has a nutritional value, work in meeting your nutritional goals, MFP’s are fine, treat protein and fat as minimal.
You can do that eating pizza, just not too much pizza, ice cream, just make sure it fits in with your cals and nutrition.
You don’t need to eat different than the family, you will probably do best, to start with eating smaller portions of what you usually eat, then tweaking as you progress.
Cheers, h.
ETA: Exercise is great for your health. If you do exercise, remember MFP is designed to log and eat those exercise cals back.
If you move more you need the fuel to sustain that movement.5 -

Ok thanks i need to lose 75 lb i exercise everyday 30 mins to an hour and still nothing0 -
How many calories are you eating? And how many does MFP give you as a goal?

I eat 100 calories a day0 -
raysheka16 wrote: »Duck_Puddle wrote: »How many calories are you eating? And how many does MFP give you as a goal?
I eat 100 calories a day
Is that a typo?
2 -
If you mean you eat 1000 cals a day, please revise your goal. 1200 is the minimum that a woman should eat to get basic nutrition.
Change your goal in MFP to 1.5lbs a week until you get to 50lbs to lose, then change it again to 1lbs a week. Eat all those calories, plus your 30 min exercise calories.
If you are not losing, re-read the post above about using a scale and accurate logging.
Cheers, h.
ETA: re assess your calorie goal every 10lbs lost. The less one weighs, the less calories one needs.0 -

losing weight is about eating fewer calories than your body uses all day (doing all your normal day to day stuff and any exercise).
What you need to do is put your info info mfp. It will give you a calorie goal: Log your food. Log your exercise. Eat at least some of those calories. Win.
How much you eat is really key to this being a successful venture.1 -
I'm doing all of that and i only eat 1000 calories a day0

how tall are you? height weight and age along with gender gives you your target calories.
Even at 5'0" (age 23, weight 203, female)you should be eating no less than 1300 a day.
too few calories can have a reverse effect on weight loss. too few and your body starts burning muscle and stores fat.
Too much carbs can also sidetrack weight loss even if you still only eat 1300 calories worth.14 -

Op, listen to everyone else but this advice.

I am quite confident that you are eating more than 1000 calories a day because if that really were all you were eating you would be losing weight.
How are you measuring the amount of food you are eating?
Are you using kitchen scales for all solids that you eat (including prepackaged foods)?
Are you using cups and measuring spoons for all liquids consumed?
Are you including the oil you use for cooking and the condiments you add to your meals?
Are you checking your data that you have logged against places like the USDA website or the nutritional label on the package?
Are you measuring your calories burned through exercise accurately and eating at least half of them back? (Many machines and apps overestimate calories burned)
If any of these give you an answer of no then it is time to tighten up on your logging so that you have better success.8 -
Open your food diary and experienced loggers that have successfully lost weight can give better advice. They've given you advice above but you dont seem to be listening. Start weighing everything before it goes into your mouth and logging it before you swallow it. You've eaten 250,000 more calories than you've burned to gain 75 lb. We can't help you stop eating too much. We can help you figure out how much to eat to lose and maintain a good weight. Your kids will be happier with a healthy mom that can teach them good eating habits.3

Definitely count it. Oil has about 120 calories per tablespoon. Pretty easy to consume a few hundred calories in oil alone per day if you use it often and aren't careful with the amount.3 -
