Nice!
I ended up being totally WIPED at work yesterday after my morning workout. I think I'm getting a sinus infection because it feels like I've been punched in the face. I stocked up on electrolyte water, and salty soups along with meds at the pharmacy last night, and I feel a little better this morning but will be avoiding the scale for a few days with all the extra salt I'm consuming. Tomorrow was going to be my rest day from the gym...but definitely rescheduling that for today and just trying to stay low-key at work, and keep functioning.
Is everyone in this group/discussion in Winter season right now? Ugh...I have a 4-year old so I feel like winter is constant sickness...0 -

Hi, I'm 37 and have been trying to get back on track. It was so much easier in my 20's because I was a single career woman with absolutely no responsibility other than myself. By age 32, I was a married mother of 2! So my 30's consisted of me trying to figure out motherhood, giving a real go at my career, trying to stay healthy and fit and staying blissfully married. I managed to do 3 out of the 4, with me putting my health and fitness on the backburner. I seriously regret that. I now have 100+lb (50kgs).
But here I am, with many years of "knowledge" to help me now stay on track and lose the unrequired weight and get back to being the fit and healthy Gemima, like I was in my 20's. Lucky for me I have the MFP community, hubby, kids and my personal trainer to help me3 -
Hi ladies. Iโm 34. I had my babies at 28 and 29. When I was 30 I focused on my weight and fitness and was even a bit slimmer than pre-babies. Like I was in my early 20โs. I honestly have never felt so attractive in my life. It was a combination of confidence that comes with age, feeling like โmyselfโ again after kids. I still feel fantastic and I let my weight fluctuate by 5 pounds which allows for normal fluctuation and some cravings. Just wanted to comment that it is such a great time in life to get back to yourself. Good job ladies!!2

Hey all.
Just turned 32 ๐ฎ๐ฑ and the older I get, the harder it seems to lose weight and keep the motivation to do so going.
Would love to have others out there going through the same things to chat with for moral support, and I in turn will do the same. Anyone feel free to add me as a friend. Kate.xx

ADD me as a friend.
The girls at work have been eating McDonald's next to me last week and I managed to refrain.
So focussed now will be good to have some friends on here with me to get me to my bday a little bit lighter. : )

In my early 30's I was doing good for a few years, then I moved and then weight just came back. Sadly, I know what I need to do; watch what I eat and exercise daily. I've been doing this and I've slowly seen and felt improvement.
I'll be 38 in March and I'm moving to Guam. So, I not only want to feel good I want to look good. I've decided this year I will stop eating out so often, which I know sabotages me, and sets me back. Plus, after a cheat day I can tell you I feel better with 1,200 calories of real food over I don't know how many of the crap I just had.
This post is getting long. Anyway, I'm focusing this year.and my goal is to be a hot 40 year old in 2021.6 -
Late to the party, but I'm 33 and trying to get motivated again after an 80lb loss. I have 50lbs to go to my goal weight and always looking for new friends.8

After 2 kids and getting older and finding time for the amount of exercise I'd like to do can be very challenging.
Feel free to add me so we can motivate ourselves! xx5 -

Dam I still haven't figured out how to add friends or become an official group member
I've just started the 5:2 diet today. Does anyone else do this or tried it and how did you find it?2 -
Adding friends : click on their name. New screen pops up, click their name again. New screen that pops up should have the little "man with a + in his neck" should be there. Click that to add. It will say to type your full name and gives a place for a note as well. ๐ happy adding!
Anyone who wants can feel free to add me as well...2 -
Hi yaโll!
Iโm 34, going to be 35in July. Iโve been on a weight loss journey now since 2007. I was at my most 267 lb. itโs been up and down. I got to 130lb and then went back up to 200lbs. Iโm finally back at 160โs. I go down a few pounds and when I see I lost weight I gain it back. So back in the saddle again. Iโm looking for movation and support as I continue my journey and in turn give the same.3 -
My goal is losing thirty pounds before I turn thirty in September! Hopefully I can do it6

Iโve had a tough time getting/staying motivated. I could use all the help that I can get. Any tips to get it into high gear? I want to feel and look healthy!0

Hi, I'm with y'all. I'm trying to get back on track, well, actually get on track. I'm less than a week away from 30 and trying to kick it off with a bang. Going to try eating better and working out more. If anyone wants to add me as a friend and give/want support, go for it. I'm a great cheerleader for others but not for myself, for some reason.1

Feel free to add me. Ill be 33 in march and yes it does seem more difficult to lose the weight. If i look at a burger i gain 10 lbs!0

It doesn't feel like I'm about to be 32 in April yet here we are. To be fair nobody believes I'm that old and I'm ok with that. ๐๐
Trying to get it together and lose what I need to now because the older you get the harder it gets. However, seasonal depression is kicking my butt right now so any help and friends are welcomed!1 -
I turned 34 at the beginning of this month. After two babies back to back and being a stay at home mom for a few years, I went to nursing school. I just graduated and realized I gained 25+ lbs over the past two years. Need to get back on track.
Iโm down 11 lbs and Iโm hoping to knee motivated and stay on track.
Good luck to all you ladies! ๐
We can do this!! ๐ช๐ผ๐ช๐ผ2 -
Hi all! I turned 30 this summer and went back to work (special ed teacher) this fall after being a SAHM to my baby for nearly 2 years... I never really got back into health and fitness after having my baby but managed to maintain an okay weight... since going back to work I have put on ~7 lbs in just a few months... am now back to the weight I was leaving the hospital after giving birth!
Finally feeling ready to COMMIT to making the time for myself to exercise and eat right... but definitely nervous about losing the motivation as I have countless times over the past two years!
Feel free to friend me for mutual support!1 -
I am super happy I lost 2.4lbs in the past week. Its so awesome to know so many women are in the same boat as I am!6
-
Nice to meet you all! Nice to not feel like I'm the only person in my boat too...welcome aboard!3

I want to reach my goal weight before I turn 30 next year2
-
Iโm hoping to reach my goal this year and keep it off before i turn 40 next year. 30lbs to go ๐ค1

how's everyone doing?? Im super proud I'm still logging 28days in...BUT this past week has been rough! I just started my period and leading up to today I was going "off the wagon" on snack foods I've managed to avoid all month. I was super disappointed in my self and felt like saying "f*&$ it" but i let those thoughts roll and got myself in check. Plus I still managed to drop my weight, so that was encouraging. Slow and steady ladies...this is typically the point in my.weight loss cycles where I quit or reward myself for my small loss but not this time!! Im commited to making my 30th year the healthiest yet!!!!5

Not gonna lie...I'm trying super hard not to let this be me in a few days. I've already had to remind myself that no, it is NOT okay for me to just stick my hand in a bag of trail mix because before I know it, the bag will be half-full...I keep a mini scale in my desk at work, so I'm always very specific with how much I eat, but it's almost that time of the month and I can feel it digging away at me and wanting me to give in to temptation....
Anyway, hope everyone has a good weekend!
