This is my twelvth round. The last round was pretty bumpy, so I'm hoping for a better time this round. I may decide to reset my Mini-goals....rather than be frustrated for the next 5 months!! They looked pretty reasonable two weeks ago!

01/13 -- 153.5 -- Happy scale day! .5 below pre-Christmas weight! Some of the loss (and gain last round) probably due to TOM.
01/14 -- 153.5 -- So nice to see this number repeat. I think the bloat is mostly gone.
01/15 -- 154 -- (got 153.5 at first and stepped on it again. Got 154 for my trouble, and the scale stuck with it!)
01/16 -- 154 -- I'm ok with this. Went out for lunch with a friend and had a gyro with the pita. Bit of a carb binge when I got home, but within my exercise calories. Interestingly, I could tell the difference of eating more carbs yesterday, because I got hungry during my morning walk!
01/17 -- 153 -- Yes! Two walks and half of a zumba class yesterday. Ate a bit high on carbs and calories in general, because I was feeling pretty stressed. But still under goal. And did not drink multiple glasses of bourbon...just one.

@sanifrey -- Definitely could be sodium! I find that more water is usually better--but it can make your weight go up if you were dehydrated the previous day, or high sodium, or low carb and low sodium (go figure!)
@milktruckd -- 1 slice of pizza only is a definite win!
@aFit50 -- Awesome entry to a new decade! Love that kind of almost fainting!
@puttyputty -- That push up T-shirt is awesome!
@mrs_sutsie -- 0.6 fluctuation is nothing! (but still irritating, I know!)
@noynoyavery -- Sometimes the jeans progress is even better than the scale progress!9 -
Round 65 (my 25th round!)
RSW 179.8 I worked too hard to get out of the 180"s to let this go on any longer.
1/13 178.2 partly water woosh, partly late weigh in - still a long way to go to get get back to my recent low.
1/14 177.6 more woosh! So many posts! It is great to have so many companions on the journey. Its a bit like a pilgrimage, except that when we get where we're going (Santiago maybe?) we will want to stay.
1/15 176.8 more woosh! lots of walking yesterday and lots of water.
1/16 176.6 So the woosh is done. Now it is time for the slow and steady. I will be attending Mass this afternoon and will remember this group in my prayers.
1/17 177 bounce! my kitchen is still in mid-reno, so it was pizza for dinner last night. I haven't been able to do detailed tracking but it has been kind of a nice break from that. I am ready to get back to it when I get my kitchen back.

name is Jen. I’ve been sitting at the low 200s for a while now trying everything to get my weight to budge. A great MFP friend suggested this group and so far it’s helping! The weight is still moving at a snails pace but at least it’s moving!

01/13- 207.8. I was surprised with a gain. Last round and the start of this one really is a surprise. But I’ve been working out more than in theist few months so I’m wondering if this is muscle gain and just my body shifting. My clothes still feel fine so I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing.
01/14 - 207.4
01/15- 207.0. I am feeling way more in control this month. I’m home with a. Sick kid today so need to try hard to stick to my plan - food, water. It might be hard to get some steps in.
01/16 - 204.8. I stepped on the scale a few times making sure this number was accurate. Hopefully I don’t screw it up today! Lol! Have my meals planned and will stick to them and my water intake.
01/17 - 205.8. I thought yesterday’s weight might have been too good to be true. I had a saltier supper last night too. Have my day planned including a walk at lunch and a treadmill workout tonight. Let’s see if I can bring the number down again.

Round 65:
SW- 154 (but this is high)
Goal for round- <150
UGW- 135
Why these goals:
My body feels right. Clothes feel good. And the aches and pains seem to be kept at bay. I am able to complete much more when I am on point with my eating and exercise.
Obstacles:
Work stress is at an all-time high right now. I've got to take the time and prioritize my healthy lifestyle so that I can keep head above water and stay positive.
What I'm going to focus on to get to my goal:
1. Water- 64 oz/day minimum
2. Exercise- 30 minutes/day minimum
3. Food- Processed sugar and alcohol free.
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13- NWI. Sledding for exercise. Anxious eating (aka chips and large quantities). I think I had a glass of water.
01/14-154. Water retention from the various processed foods over the weekend. Walked with Leslie at lunch. Played racket ball with the boy last night. Sugar in the form of fancy chocolates and caramel popcorn made it into my diet. Net calories were 0. Water intake was fair.
01/15- 153.5. Still feeling bloated. Fingers feel like sausages. Morning workout with Jillian. Good eating day. No sugar/chips/nuts/alcohol. Net calories - 456. Water wasn't quite where I'd like, but better than what it has been.
01/16- 151. Bloat is gone. YAY! Now to stay focused. Morning workout with Jillian. Food was good. No sugar/chips/nuts/alcohol. Net calories: -200. A bit stressful at bed.
01/17- 153. What the heck?!? Took the morning off from exercise. Got to find some time outside today. Winter blues are setting in.

ROUND 64 (Round 11 for me)
5’5” 66 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
GW 135-140 lb.
Started Keto WOE on September 24th (2018). Still experiencing decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain since the second week of Keto. Staying within calorie limits is easy enough, but not exceeding my carb limit is difficult. I don’t use my KetoMojo meter every day, but I’ve only been out of ketosis for a couple of days since the second week when the meter arrived. Some of my NSVs: feeling less self-conscious, wedding band fits, smaller clothing, and my happy husband, whether he’s inspired to quit his cigarette habit or not.
Rounds 54 – 64 resulted in a cumulative loss of 33.6 lb. The closer I get to my goal, the more excited and motivated I become! When I reach maintenance, my plan it to continue checking in on these rounds. I really do appreciate and enjoy your company!
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 144.8 Hello again! Let’s make this a great round! My scale is up a little this morning. I was up early to cook for lunch at church. My poor husband wass sick most of the night. It may be the fried fish he ate last night that I brought home for him on Thursday. It was a lunch special, but had three large filets of catfish. I meant to throw the last one away yesterday—wish I had. I guess something else could be going on with him. Thor and I had a good walk yesterday, but cut it a little short, 4.8 mi. We met the owners of a dog that’s been harassing and following us. I don’t want to see him run over.
01/14 143.8 I’m about to go to work, so I’ll have to catch up on posts this evening. Monday is my MFP check-in day, so I wanted to enter that before I forget.
01/15 143.4 I could have walked yesterday afternoon, but it was cold and windy, and I try to avoid cold and windy. The high today should be 50F and cloudy, still too cold, but I’ll probably take Thor and walk this afternoon after the Women’s Club luncheon and meeting. My grandmother and great grandmother and two great aunts were charter members of the club, long ago, and I like spending time and having fun with my neighbors. My favorite meetings last year were hula dancing, clogging, and learning to milk a goat!
01/16 143.6 Thor and I increased our walk yesterday—6.4 miles. We returned home tired, and my hip/back was a bit sore. It’s still a little sore this morning, which may account for the small gain on the scale this morning. I enjoyed the Women’s Club meeting, except for the lunch—they went with sandwiches, chips, boiled quail eggs, and cake. Three of us at my table ate a quail egg (they’re tiny 😊), the chicken salad and pimento cheese out of quarter sandwiches (tossed the bread), and no cake. It’s good to have like-minded friends.
01/17 142.6 I expected the scale to be more kind today. I’ve recovered from my long walk and will try to do another walk this afternoon. First, I’ll play Bunco with my friends. Reading the posts about freezing and sub-zero areas has me shivering just thinking about it! My husband and I leave the thermostat on 70F in the winter, and we’re still both bundled up and uncomfortably cold. We’re expecting a real freeze this weekend. I may have to give in and have a couple of glasses of wine to warm up! I gave up wine when I started keto, since I tend to prefer sweeter wines. We’ll see how I cope.

1/14: 201.2 - Still sick, hit all my goals yesterday except for dedicated exercise.
1/15: 201.6 - Yesterday, still sick, but getting better. Hit all my goals.
1/16: 200.8 - back to where I started the round. It’s a special type of mental torture hovering over onederland for so many days. Met all my goals yesterday. Feeling better except a lingering cough.
1/17: 200.6 - Yesterday, ate a chocolate muffin for breakfast but still stayed within my calorie goal for the day. Didn’t work out as hard as usual but still got in 1hr dedicated exercise. Only drank 80oz of water instead of my 100oz goal. I really wanted a glass of wine, but I resisted. Overall, a stressful day, but I handled it better than I would have a month ago, so I feel good about that.

@deepwoodslady I can't stop thinking about your horrible business disaster! I'm praying for you and your daughter. One thing I've noticed when disaster strikes (i.e., burst water heater in the ceiling, damaging hail storm for me) is that something good comes of it. We ended up with better quality flooring and a thorough cleaning in my home after the water heater fiasco, and we ended up with nicer roofing, not only on our house, but on our outbuildings, plus the ongoing work made it convenient to add a carport to protect from the next hailstorm! Look to our good Lord and enjoy unexpected blessings. The first blessing is that no one was physically injured or killed!
@puttyputty I like the T-shirt! I've decided to do the sit-up challenge, too. I suspect it will take me longer than 6 weeks to complete both, but I'll give it my best! Proud of your progress! You're inspiring me!4 -

01/13--214.7 Went to the gym this morning to do some weightlifting. Other than going to Lowe's this morning to buy some wood, I will be vegitating the rest of the day.
01/14--215.8 Woke up so sore from workout yesterday, so not surprised about the increase in weight on the scale this morning and it also didn't help that I didn't drink a lot of water yesterday. Starting C25K today and making sure I get my water in today.
01/15--215.8 Finished W1D1 yesterday. Went to the gym this morning and did some weightlifting. Drank more water yesterday,so just need to continue with that today. Plan today is to hang a door and organize my laundry/storage area.
01/16--214.9 Sore from weightlifting yesterday. I hung the door yesterday, took much longer than I thought it would which is usually the case, but did not organize the laundry/storage area, so plan is to do that today. Also today is day 2 of c25k. Yoga tonight.

01/13 143.8 a slight bump up, yesterday was hard. A big family breakfast and dinner and although I started out great, by the end of the day I gave in after dinner to snacks. Sheeeeesh! This is getting more and , more difficult as I go on. Work so hard to loose a little, takes nothing to gain a little. I am going to have to pre-plan for next week. I will schedule Saturdays as my rest day workout wise (there is no way to get around it) but my eating needs to be on point. I'm ok with a cheat meal here and there but it can't be on a day I don't work out
I
01/14 145.8 WHAT THE FUNK!!! I know this weekend was rough for me, I know I didn't workout yesterday, got minimal steps in and my eating wasn't the greatest but this is so dissapointing all the same. I want to say I deserve this but I also don't. I looked at my exercise log and noticed that I worked out for the last 8 days straight and managed to only maintain, yet I have two bad nights (not two whole days, just around dinner time) and my weight bumps up this much. I am getting so aggravated now. This was my number after 10 days of Christmas holidays...so like I said WHAT THE FUNK!! I am so grumpy today 😫😧
01/15 no weigh in. Woke up late jogged and some weight lifting yesterday but not much else
01/16 143.8 and back to my number at the beginning of the round. The past couple of days I have been grumpy and slightly depressed (besides this group I have been telling others I wasn't feeling well, it's so much easier then explaining depression). It demotivated me and although I did get a jog and some weight training in on Monday and yesterday had 90 min of volleyball, today I am determined to do my usual routine and get my butt back into it. I am finally sick of this number and am ready to change it. Yesterday I only got 4000+ steps (like I said wasn't feeling the greatest) but I did eat under calories and 2 liters of water. If I have trouble loosing by the end I am going to try the egg fast @deepwoodslady has been talking about.
01/17 144.4 did nothing to deserve this uptick, this is getting frustrating. +30,000 steps, worked out, ate under Calories and 1.8 liters of water. I am half determined and half annoyed. Why is this getting so darn difficult. Work out like crazy but only manage a maintain or smal gain😧😧 trying to keep my head on straight. I am usually an upbeat, motivated person but I do crash at times and when I fall, I fall. I am trying to keep going and not consintrate on the number too much. Wanted to be bellow 140s by the time my birthday hit but that came and went and I was fine.., then wanted to be bellow the 140s by my 9 year anniversary (Jan 23rd) but I am starting to think that won't happen and it is really concerning me. Sorry for whining. Just aggravated

Heaviest Weight: 235 lbs/106.6kg (February 7th 2018)
Smallest Weight: 175 lbs/79.4kg (March 2009)

Ultimate Goal Weight: 185 lbs
R65 Starting Weight: 105.8kg/233.2 lbs
R65 Goal Weight: 103.9-104.3kg/229-230 lbs
Daily Goals:
Drink 90-120oz of water daily; consume 1300 cal (amended) and measure food; no added sugars/sweeteners; around 1500mg sodium intake max; get in 5000+ steps daily; do chi gung; sleep more than 6 hours nightly!
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13: 233.2 @ 5:30am - Light eating much of the day which 'justified' eating some pizza for dinner. Water intake was good and I got a nice amount of sleep! Tomorrow should be much more organized, so I'm expecting better results in terms of meeting my daily goals.
01/14: ??? - Woke up later than anticipated and started working from home right away, so I missed the weighing window I've established. Healthy breakfast and lunch, but less meals, less steps, less water, and a lack of measuring for meals all probably did not serve me well. I'm going to look to have my meals prepped and measured out, and remember that starting (or restarting) a process like this can have growing pains even if you've done it before!
01/15: 234.8 @ 6:50am - This was not surprising, but no less unwelcome. I did start my morning off with water, measured meals for the day, and an agenda for the day that includes some walking. Surely enough, I had a really good day that had me meeting all of my goals (except my water intake), almost hitting 10,000 steps, and feeling really good if a tad hungry/crave-y!
01/16: 234.2 @ 7:05am - Glad to see things going in a good direction after a (almost) fully disciplined day! This was a very good day that saw me slightly under steps and almost completely absent water (busy work day). I was still cognizant of getting movement in throughout the day, hit all my other goals, and have entered the craving-free zone that I was waiting on. I'm excited now!
01/17: 231.8 @ 6:45am - Whoosh!

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

01/13 129.5 Fourth day in the 129.x range. Today DD#2 turns 46. She was 3 weeks early, according to the doctor. At 7# 9 oz, I’m glad she didn’t wait! The doctor thought it was false labor and told Carl to give me 3 aspirins and a cup of strong tea. Before I finished the tea, the cramping was about every 3 minutes. Carl called the doctor and the doctor said the emergency room would be waiting for me! Someone was at the door to whisk me away while Carl took DD#1 to the sitter 2 blocks away. By the time he got back beautiful DD#2 had arrived. 21 minutes from door to done! I always thought it was interesting that DD#1 was born at 5:08 and DD#2 was born 5 hours and 8 minutes later (plus 2 years and 9 days.) I often wondering what time #3 would have been born, had there been a #3. My mind is weird! Happy birthday
**01/14 128.5 I don’t think I posted yesterday. I was busy in the kitchen all day getting ready for company for dinner.
01/15 129.5 We had friends for dinner last night. I tried 2 new recipes one for Garlicky Butter Parmesan Pork Chops and one for Blood Orange Rum Cake, both Keto. Then I also made the ketofied version of Boston Market butternut squash and the not even close to Keto dinner rolls I always used to make. I think it’s been 2 years since I made those. I ate 3 of them, in the past I would have eaten lots more. I’m still (barely) in nutritional ketosis so time to get back on track. Less than 2 qt of water.
01/16 Good day yesterday. Today Art Quilts and tonight community BINGO.
01/17 129.5 Car dropped of at dealer, coffee consumed, going to craft with a friend - we each do our own thing but it’s nice to have sometime chat with. Two years ago today the cardiologist told me I had NOT had a heart attack and my weight was 174.5. I am proud of myself for the progress I have made and thank God for sending me Keto which I started 6 months later!11
