JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~ ROUND 65
Replies

Definitely committing for the next round...this accountability has been great for me - thank-you for all being here!
First time:- Round 65
Mini mini goal - drop below 170. ACHIEVED
Interim goal :- 164 - that puts me in 'just fat' instead of 'obese' on the BMI scale
Final goal:- 135 I was most comfortable here. For my height, that's still at the top of the range, but I felt I could comfortably maintain that without eating like a rabbit!
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 Walked 70 mins treadmill - fatloss programme
01/14 170.6 My weekly weigh in day. Walked as above.
01/15 Had pasta for dinner . Walked as above.
01/16 171 For the first time in a very long time, I logged in just over my base of 1200 cals. And I'm surprised I don't feel any worse for it - not starving or deprived of anything. Walked as above.
01/17 170 Over my base calories but still within if I add exercise. Usual 70 mins (10 000 steps) on t/mill.
01/18 Did not weigh this morning And also my rest day. But tracked everything and was well within my range. Friday is my toughest day at work, so still got over 10 000 in.
01/19 168.8 Quite surprised but a boost. Walked 90mins on the trails today, wet and muddy after all the rain Southern Cal has had, but a beautiful cool and crisp, misty morning. Eating wasn't good tho, back in the saddle tomorrow.
01/20 169.2 Walked 90 mins on trails again - beautiful day! Tracked calories, stayed within, but again too much sodium
01/21 168.6 Walked treadmill 'fatloss' program (kicks my butt) 70 mins. Rained again last night, trails will be too wet. But day off for me, so cleaning house too

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
1/12 129.5
::::::::::::::::::
01/13 129.5 Fourth day in the 129.x range. Today DD#2 turns 46. She was 3 weeks early, according to the doctor. At 7# 9 oz, I’m glad she didn’t wait! The doctor thought it was false labor and told Carl to give me 3 aspirins and a cup of strong tea. Before I finished the tea, the cramping was about every 3 minutes. Carl called the doctor and the doctor said the emergency room would be waiting for me! Someone was at the door to whisk me away while Carl took DD#1 to the sitter 2 blocks away. By the time he got back beautiful DD#2 had arrived. 21 minutes from door to done! I always thought it was interesting that DD#1 was born at 5:08 and DD#2 was born 5 hours and 8 minutes later (plus 2 years and 9 days.) I often wondering what time #3 would have been born, had there been a #3. My mind is weird! Happy birthday
**01/14 128.5 I don’t think I posted yesterday. I was busy in the kitchen all day getting ready for company for dinner.
01/15 129.5 We had friends for dinner last night. I tried 2 new recipes one for Garlicky Butter Parmesan Pork Chops and one for Blood Orange Rum Cake, both Keto. Then I also made the ketofied version of Boston Market butternut squash and the not even close to Keto dinner rolls I always used to make. I think it’s been 2 years since I made those. I ate 3 of them, in the past I would have eaten lots more. I’m still (barely) in nutritional ketosis so time to get back on track. Less than 2 qt of water.
01/16 Good day yesterday. Today Art Quilts and tonight community BINGO.
01/17 129.5 Car dropped off at dealer, coffee consumed, going to craft with a friend - we each do our own thing but it’s nice to have sometime chat with. Two years ago today the cardiologist told me I had NOT had a heart attack and my weight was 174.5. I am proud of myself for the progress I have made and thank God for sending me Keto!
01/18 129.0. Had a good day yesterday. Car window fixed and spark plugs changed (long overdue apparently.) Movie and dinner out today.
01/19 129.5 We saw Escape Room. We both thought it was better than the “C” rating it had in the paper. Golden Corral for dinner last night. I needed a steak fix! Had salad, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and a few sautéed mushrooms. Only 4 hours of sleep last night. UGH Going back to bed now!
01/20 129.5 I did go back to sleep yesterday but only for about 40 minutes - not enough! We went to see our favorite band last night. Someone was smoking a cigar which was quite unpleasant even from 30 feet away. I got a headache which stuck with me all night but is finally gone.
01/21 129.5 Eating yesterday was weird but within calories and macros.9 -
@quiltingjaine Yes, Sunday roast dinner is a UK thing. We typically have a roast chicken dinner every Sunday, which includes lots of veg, but also gravy (high in fat and salt), roast potatoes, stuffing and yorkshire puddings.
It's very tasty, but can be very high in calories and salt. I still have mine every weekend as I think it's a nice family tradition to keep, but I just try to keep everything in moderation. Reduce the amount of gravy, for example. Limit the roast potatoes. Make my own Yorkshire pudding so I can control the portion size better. That sort of thing.5 -

This is my twelvth round. The last round was pretty bumpy, so I'm hoping for a better time this round. I may decide to reset my Mini-goals....rather than be frustrated for the next 5 months!! They looked pretty reasonable two weeks ago!

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 -- 153.5 -- Happy scale day! .5 below pre-Christmas weight! Some of the loss (and gain last round) probably due to TOM.
01/14 -- 153.5 -- So nice to see this number repeat. I think the bloat is mostly gone.
01/15 -- 154 -- (got 153.5 at first and stepped on it again. Got 154 for my trouble, and the scale stuck with it!)
01/16 -- 154 -- I'm ok with this. Went out for lunch with a friend and had a gyro with the pita. Bit of a carb binge when I got home, but within my exercise calories. Interestingly, I could tell the difference of eating more carbs yesterday, because I got hungry during my morning walk!
01/17 -- 153 -- Yes! Two walks and half of a zumba class yesterday. Ate a bit high on carbs and calories in general, because I was feeling pretty stressed. But still under goal. And did not drink multiple glasses of bourbon...just one.
01/18 -- 153 -- After last weeks roller coaster, this week has been nice and calm! I'm super dizzy today and hoping it was a few too many carbs yesterday and electrolyte imbalance. Drinking broth and hoping to shake it!
01/19 -- 154.5 -- Doesn't make a lot of sense. Ate better yesterday than earlier in the week. I did have two cups of broth, including one in the evening, to see if that would help with the dizziness. So it could be that. Still a bit dizzy today.
01/20 -- 155 -- Well that is irritating. I fasted till dinner yesterday. Ate low carb, high fiber, low calorie, big deficit. It is irritating that my biggest gains this week were after my best two days! I guess the good news is that if I had eaten poorly, I would be frustrated with myself, instead I'm just frustrated with the scale, water retention, irritating fat cells that sometimes decide to reclaim water before whooshing away. Sigh. Hopefully I still get to end low this 10 days. Less dizzy this morning....so that is good too.
01/21 -- 154 -- Worse day yesterday, better weight today. Sigh. Trying to just ride it out. I'm a pound down from my bad begginning...if only still at pre-Christmas weight...

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13--214.7 Went to the gym this morning to do some weightlifting. Other than going to Lowe's this morning to buy some wood, I will be vegitating the rest of the day.
01/14--215.8 Woke up so sore from workout yesterday, so not surprised about the increase in weight on the scale this morning and it also didn't help that I didn't drink a lot of water yesterday. Starting C25K today and making sure I get my water in today.
01/15--215.8 Finished W1D1 yesterday. Went to the gym this morning and did some weightlifting. Drank more water yesterday,so just need to continue with that today. Plan today is to hang a door and organize my laundry/storage area.
01/16--214.9 Sore from weightlifting yesterday. I hung the door yesterday, took much longer than I thought it would which is usually the case, but did not organize the laundry/storage area, so plan is to do that today. Also today is day 2 of c25k. Yoga tonight.
01/17--214.7 Weightlifting today.
01/18--214.8 I so did not want to go to the gym yesterday, so I made a deal with myself that I would go to the gym and give myself the ok to not do any of the lifts that I didn't feel like doing. In the end I went to the gym and followed the whole program except for 1 lift, so I am very proud of myself. Today is day 3 of c25k, hoping the rain holds out when I plan to go running. Elimination diet has definitely gotten much easier and my digestive system feels so much better, but I so miss a lot of foods...two more weeks until my next meeting with the nutritionist.
01/19--215.1 Finished week 1 of c25k yesterday. Today is rest day, so other than taking dog out for a walk no real scheduled exercise for today. Bought some new door handles yesterday, so I may get motivated and replace the interior door handles today.
01/20--214.5 Went to the gym and did some weightlifting. Going for a hike later this morning.
01/21--214.9 Had a great day yesterday hiking with hubby and the dog. In the PNW you have to take advantage of the days in January when it's in the 40's and it isn't raining. Today starting week 2 of C25K.

25th Round for me: Female 65, height 5’
In for another round. I think I'm back to some consistency after subbing work in Nov. and holiday food. Hoping to see a solid loss.Round 39 (1st for me) – SW 163, -.2Goal this round: To get out of the 160’s or at least consistently not above 160. I was down here in Oct. and having so much trouble getting back there. Right now even ½ lb. per round would seem great. My short term goal is to be down at least 6 lb. by the end of March. That is just .8/Round but for me would be great progress.
Round 40 – on holidays, gain +1.6

Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June.
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 – 162.2 – Thought I had a loss in Round 64 but actually a big blip up and then went down but in the end – a tiny gain. Shows the value of this challenge, I see what’s really happening.
01/14 – 162 – Yesterday not a bad day calorie wise but very sedentary. Off to the gym here shortly and a busy day.
01/15 – 161.8 – So happy with this. A little “finishing supper late” when I got home at 10:00 last night as I had to rush out the door to a meeting but quit before it became a snackfest.
01/16 – 161.8 – Not sure this will stay, long day yesterday and went about 200 cals over but off to the gym today so maybe that will work it off.
01/17 – 162.4 – Third day of having a little snack in the evening – 2 cookies, 150 cal.- and here we are. Feeling behind and a little ??? about my friend – I didn’t even realize I was wondering ‘what’s up?’ with the friend until I looked at my eating pattern and saw that I was going downhill since Monday. So glad I realized that and can deal with it head on instead of stuffing it.
01/18 – 162.8 Good cals & no LNS yesterday.
01/19 – 162.2 Cleaning house today, which will get in some movement – still hoping to do a few exercises at home as well. Went to the gym yesterday but was very late getting there. So, for the first time, just did the cardio and a few of the mat exercises. Usually I tell myself I’ll cut it short but I never do even though it throws my day off. Then the next time I’m running late I don’t go at all. Proud of myself for keeping my day in mind and not deceiving myself into thinking I can stretch time to fit in all my wishes. That just ends in a crash and burn evening.
01/20 – 162.4 – a little over yesterday as was hungry in the evening and had banana, skim yogurt and a sprinkle of choc. chips. I think the blip up is more likely our saltier supper. Tried a new seasoning recipe for meat and cut the salt by more than ½ and it was still too salty for me. Otherwise a good recipe.
01/21 – 162.4 – Suddenly invited out for supper last night – very good but not low cal. I did eat carefully but I’m sure was still way over so was kind of expecting a blip up. Off to the gym for a little while but have to get the car home for DH.

Yes This is what I grew up with. With beef or lamb for special occasions and if they were really special occasions trifle for pudding (dessert) otherwise jam roly-poly and custard. I miss it sometimes, but I never did master the art of making yorkshire pudding.7 -
Back again for another challenge. Stayed at 150 something for the last 4 days of round 64. Looking forward to breaking into the new decade. My body seems to be having a pretty hard time of letting go of the 150’s. My round 64 end weight was 150.2. My goal for round 65 is going to be 148. Hopefully I see a nice whoosh in this round since last round I didn’t really get anywhere. Although I did get back to my pre-Christmas weight and had my lowest 10 day average so far. So I am taking those both as wins and moving on.
1/13 - 151.7 this must be the bounce from Friday nights beers and food. We were just celebrating it being Friday and being done with last week. Did well yesterday and plan on doing the same today. Probably will be back down tomorrow.
1/14 - 154.3 so my plan was going great until about 6 when we had some unexpected old friends show up. Drinks and a very late dinner. Water and a healthy lunch and dinner is what I have in store for today. I will be back down tomorrow. I always gain a couple of pounds after a night of drinking. I was really irritated with my results last week, so I was felling sorry for myself. Today I'm back on the wagon. Clean eating, lots of water, and no alcohol till Saturday.
1/15 - 151.6 and back down. Lol, did great yesterday. On track today so far. 2 of my kids had dentist appt yesterday, the other 2 had them today. Didn’t get fast food for myself either day. So that’s a win. Yesterday was the last time I will have to accompany my 2nd oldest to an appt. He will be 18 in a couple of weeks, so another win for this week. 2 kids over the age of 18 (in 2-1/2 weeks) and 3 to go. It goes by so quick I swear. Now if I could just see a 140 something on the scale this week it would be a 5 star win!
1/16 - 148.9 I finally got the whoosh I had been waiting for. I'm sure I will bounce around here for a week or so, but that's fine. I am just happy I finally made it in the new decade. I have been trying to do this since the middle of December. Made my goal this round, so I am just going to try and maintain and be grateful. Also this means I have officially lost 30 pounds. Took me almost 7 months, but I made it. So my new goal this round is to get well acclimated in the 140's and not go past 149.9 again. Yeaah!
1/17 - 149.6 I stepped on the scale a couple of times this morning. I got this number twice and 148.9 twice. I will have to clean underneath it and reset it when I get home. Just didn't have time this am, kids were not cooperating with me and I was trying to put dinner in the crock pot so I didn't have to deal with that tonight. So I am going with the bigger one just in case. I'm still happy it is in the 140's and I actually expected it to go up anyways. Had a larger dinner than usual last night and for some reason I was starving all day yesterday. I also had a very big whoosh the day before, so figured it may bounce around for a couple of days. Still happy and excited I finally made it.
1/18 - 148.9 good day yesterday and all set for today. Mon-Fri are so easy to stay on track for me. It's the weekends that just get all messed up for me. DH works tomorrow so just planning on cleaning and getting the shopping done for the week. Happy with my progress this round so far. If I can maintain and finish around 148.xx I will take it as a win.
1/19 - 148.2 A little surprised. May have a bump up tomorrow. Had a couple of beers with DH, then a couple of mini size butterfingers bars after dinner last night. I was still under calories, but beer always seems to make me gain a little bit the next day. I had a terrible day at work and didn’t really eat anything. My calories were under 400 at 6 last night. So it just seemed like I had the munchies all night. I like the downward trend I have seen this week and today. I will accept it if it goes up a bit tomorrow. Crazy we are almost done with another round already.
1/20 - 150.6 watched ufc fights last night and ate everything in site. Also drank a lot. I just can not keep it together on the weekends. Plan for today no alcohol, drink lots of water, and not eat everything and anything I can.
1/21 - 154 not happy this morning, 6 pound gain in 2 days. I know it's all water weight and by Wed I will be back into the 140's. My body is just so weird. I did way better yesterday. I was super busy, cleaned my daughters room and did 8 loads of laundry. I have 4 kids living at home, so that's just a normal Sunday. Lol, I think I did good on water and no alcohol. I think this is just the rest of my bump up from Friday and Saturday night. It happens every weekend. At least I know it will be gone soon, but still annoying that I can't just have a regular weekend and eat maintenance calories without jumping up on the scale all crazy. It seems like the closer I get to my goal the more I am fluctuating on the scale. Don't know if I will be back down to 140's for tomorrow.

01/21 185.4 Yessssss…… The dancing is starting to finally show up on the scale in a positive way! Sample song from yesterday- “Kick the dust up” by Luke Bryan. 4 hours 4 minutes of sleep. 41 minutes of aerobic dance. Tons of housekeeping in business & home (much much more to do today as I prep for a general insurance inspection on all the cabins, my house, garage, rental house next door and all outbuildings. Ugg). 15,251 steps yesterday and 6.47 general miles. IF 16:8 . Excellent macro ratio/percentages. Just under calorie count. At carb count. I wanted a TBSP of peanut butter last night so I walked up & down my hallway until I reached a mile so I could “earn” it first. I’m not always quite this dedicated, but I’m working on it. I hope for more & more of these strong days.

Round 65 – First round

1/23/01: 336 (WLS op) – the first day of the rest of my life
1/1/19: 213.4
UGW 170
SW/ER64 – 205.4
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 - 203.7 (5839 steps) – Today is my 1st full day here in this challenge. Didn’t make it to the barn to ride yesterday. We got lots of snow. Zero structure to my day. Could have been a potential problem. I had 2 meals still leftover from last week’s meal prep so, I used those for lunch/dinner. Rode the recumbent bike in the living room for a total of 50 mins (10.05 miles). Still allowed myself room to have a pint of Halo Top.
01/14 – 204.8 (6813 steps) – Sundays are the laziest day of my week. This was no different. We got 3” of snow and I did NOT want to leave the house. I slept in late and was a couch potato. I stayed in the green with my calories and even did 37 mins (7.77 miles) on the bike. I was able to meal prep lunch/dinner for the work week. Hopefully leaving on Friday for weekend in KY with my Mom.
01/15 – 203.5 (7480 steps) – I ate all 3 of my meals at work yesterday seeing as I had to work a 10 hour day. It felt better to have dinner consumed BEFORE I got on the road for my hour drive home, plus 2 errands to run in the middle. I wasn’t tempted for a quick drive-by dinner or crappy quick meal when I got home (at 7:30pm). Win! I squeezed in 33 mins on the bike (6.9 miles) before hitting the sack. All in all it was a good day.
01/16 – 203.5 (6788 steps) – Successful food planning at work yesterday, despite the stress & chaos. Logged all 3 of my meals before I even ate them. No cravings when I got home. No mindless snacking. Rode the bike while watching NCAA basketball (45 mins – 9.61 miles). This weekend is going to be tough. Going out of town to my Aunt/Uncle’s house in KY and just found out there was a death in my Aunt’s family today so, there will be LOTS of company and food while we are there. This will be my first “test” since starting over.
01/17 – 203.3 (7084 steps) – Yesterday was a very long and stressful day at work. It wasn’t until after 8pm last night that I was able to write my comments. I didn’t snack or over eat. I stuck to my plan and ate the meals that I had prepped for work. 40 minutes on the bike (8.58 miles), some reading & visiting with my parents, then off to bed. Off to KY tomorrow morning. Not sure I’ll get to do a full update or weigh-in but I’ll be stopping by to read everyone’s posts.
01/18 - 200.6 (4626 steps) Almost to Onederland!! Had a long day yesterday between work and a 2-hour meeting after work. Had zero ambition to do any exercise. Did a small amount of snacking but stayed under my calorie goal. Winter storm coming but we are headed to KY here in a couple hours. True test time!
01/19 - 201.2 (3828 steps) Used my Uncle’s scale. Ate out for all 3 meals yesterday due to traveling. Tried to avoid snacking in between. Instead of buying chips to snack on at my Uncle’s house, I bought 4 bell peppers to crunch on. That did save me late last night when everyone else was eating salted peanuts.
01/20 - did not weigh (2122) Pretty much ate my way thru the entire day and totally paid for it. Upset belly all evening and into the night! We had a house full of people and food. Day before viewing and funeral plus TONS of rain!!!
01/21 - 206.8 (2663) *I did not weigh until 2:30pm today after driving 250miles home.* Yesterday was bitterly cold and no one wanted to leave the house. We went to the viewing and stayed at my Uncle’s watching the dogs while rest of the family stayed for funeral. My eating was still bad and again I paid the price. Upset belly all night.

**Round 65**
Heaviest Weight: 235 lbs/106.6kg (February 7th 2018)
Smallest Weight: 175 lbs/79.4kg (March 2009)
First Goal Weight: 220 lbs
Ultimate Goal Weight: 185 lbs
R65 Starting Weight: 105.8kg/233.2 lbs
R65 Goal Weight: 103.9-104.3kg/229-230 lbs
Daily Goals:
Drink 90-120oz of water daily; consume 1400 cal (amended) and measure food; no added sugars/sweeteners; around 1500mg sodium intake max; get in 7500+ steps daily (amended); do chi gung; sleep more than 6 hours nightly!
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13: 233.2 @ 5:30am - Light eating much of the day which 'justified' eating some pizza for dinner. Water intake was good and I got a nice amount of sleep! Tomorrow should be much more organized, so I'm expecting better results in terms of meeting my daily goals.
01/14: ??? - Woke up later than anticipated and started working from home right away, so I missed the weighing window I've established. Healthy breakfast and lunch, but less meals, less steps, less water, and a lack of measuring for meals all probably did not serve me well. I'm going to look to have my meals prepped and measured out, and remember that starting (or restarting) a process like this can have growing pains even if you've done it before!
01/15: 234.8 @ 6:50am - This was not surprising, but no less unwelcome. I did start my morning off with water, measured meals for the day, and an agenda for the day that includes some walking. Surely enough, I had a really good day that had me meeting all of my goals (except my water intake), almost hitting 10,000 steps, and feeling really good if a tad hungry/crave-y!
01/16: 234.2 @ 7:05am - Glad to see things going in a good direction after a (almost) fully disciplined day! This was a very good day that saw me slightly under steps and almost completely absent water (busy work day). I was still cognizant of getting movement in throughout the day, hit all my other goals, and have entered the craving-free zone that I was waiting on. I'm excited now!
01/17: 231.8 @ 6:45am - Whoosh! Today things were absolutely on point. 7500+ steps, 94oz of water, meals measured and eaten (which automatically controls the sodium/sugar if I don't go off plan), a great amount of sleep, and continuing to make good decisions regarding fitness. Life is more than a little wonky this week, and/but this seems to be one of the things that is coming around and providing positive change. Let's keep it going!
01/18: 231.2 @ 7:05am - great day overall! Trying my first modified diet day to allow me to eat with the family for Shabbat dinner, so we'll see how this affects things with my numbers.
01/19: ??? - got derailed by home goings-on when I tried to weigh myself, and messed around and ate breakfast before I realized I'd forgot to finish! Another modified diet day for Saturday to allow for a post-service meal with the family.
01/20: 235.2 @ 3:00pm - I didn't want to two days without weighing myself, even though this is likely skewed by uneliminated food and water, and recently consumed meals. Even when it is off due to timing, it helps me to make adjustments! This was a good day that saw me hitting all of my goals despite lots of driving and time out of the house. Today also saw me starting a lot of firsts for this process, including new daily exercise, new weekly exercise, and a scheduled daily 100 calorie increase in my diet for the week. I'm keeping my expectations flexible since the new combination might change the nature of my losses and gains (i.e. increasing muscle mass reducing my overall weight loss).
01/21: 232.2 @ 8:30am

@abowersgirl Yes, I definitely think we should look back 2-3 days for an unexpected gain or loss. I’m not even sure increased salt impacts me immediately. That is part of the reason I love these challenges - I’m tracking my food (most days) and my weight and I can look back and make the correlation.
Thank you @quiltingjaine ❣️❣️
And yes, data is so helpful for figuring all this “stuff” out!

Now shooting for 150 lbs to see what I look like since 153.5 is much better than 155. Curious how body will look at 150.
Should be a good round.
1/10 153.2

SW: 153.2 😁 -75.1 lbs down 3.2 to go!

Decided to enjoy the impromptu party night & am now working to get back on track. It was really fun & I actually have no regrets, amazingly. I was shocked to see the largest one day swing in my weight since I began 3+ years ago, however!!! Ever onwards!
1/14 154.8 progress...
1/15 153.2 THRILLED!!
1/16 153.2. 2 day streak, 5 of last 7 days. Keep plugging away.
1/17 151.8 NEW LOW WEIGHT, finally!
🙏🏻💪🏻🥰And so I learn again that restaurant food must have far more hidden fats in it than how we cook at home...Grateful I’ve been able to resist the urge to eat out...literally one day at a time. 🙏🏻
1/18 WOW 151.4 Another New Low Weight. 1.113 days - almost there!! 1.4 pounds!!! I’m blown away. This proves: NEVER GIVE UP, EVER! 🙏🏻😇
I took some quick measurements this AM and they even seem to be coming down some more!
“Focus on Health.”
1/19 151.2 Crazy good! I know it will stop or bounce up, but I have to say, this has been so encouraging.
1/20 WHhaattt!!!!! 150.6 -77.7!lbs
BMI: 22.6
Our bodies are contually amusing. I can make no sense of this week, but I’ll take it😊🙏🏻🦋
1/21 150.6 amazing. Now I’m working on positive self-talk about my body. “You look great!” “I love your shape.” So close to goal & I’d still like one part to be smaller. Learning to accept my shape. Reminding myself of health achievements & original goal helps as do affirmations. And who knows, maybe in awhile, it will shift around

Jan 14 Decided I needed a reward (I never use them, but this seems to be the time to do so.) : When my weight is 153.2 or less for 7 days in a row, I will get a pair of new jeans, a new bra, and a top. 7/7 DID IT!! ❣❣❣❣❣❣❣️ I’m going to wait a little longer for the last 0.6lb & for body to adapt.
1/16 Thought it would take a week or more to get back to153.2. Glad I’ve been able to take myself out of eating out... becoming more optimistic.
This goal has really helped me get back on track! I’m only eating what I can track exactly.

quiltingjaine wrote: »@prehistoricmoongoddess I had to chuckle at moving the scale. My DH pushes ours toward the wall every day and I move it out and line it up, fairly precisely, with the floor tiles when I weigh. He doesn’t “get” it but then he’s never had a real weight issue.
@tlgale I started to write a couple of things but don’t know much about you. Do you have friends? You should get out and do something you enjoy. Do you read? Join a book club. Sew? Take a class. I belong to the local quilt guild although I don’t actually quilt. I do love to piece quilt tops and used to make all of my own clothes as well as those for our daughters. I’m getting back into that. I would just as soon be a homebody but my DH says he has to get out of the house every day so I go with him, even if it is just a short drive around town.
Would someone explain “Sunday roast dinner” for me? Is this a UK “thing?” And why is it always the explanation for a gain?
@quiltingjaine A little about me.. I'm 36, live in Canada, am a single stay at home mom but my son goes to daycare for therapy reasons and I've always been a very shy person, so I find it hard to get out and do things on my own. I do have friends, but we are not as close anymore and I don't see them often. I like the thought of joining some kind of club or group but most things are offered in the evening and I pick up my son every day at 2:45, so unable to do that. I do read some but not a great deal. I'm learning to sew, received a sewing machine for Christmas actually! Would love to someday be able to make my own clothes!
The Sunday dinner is a thing here (Newfoundland Canada) as well. It always consists of either Turkey, chicken or roast, boiled potato, carrots, turnip, dressing (aka stuffing) salt meat and gravy.10 -

@mamarh I just wanted to tell you, don't despair! Just keep exercising and counting calories. If I get too many exercise calories, I just don't count them all, so I don't feel tempted to eat them all back. You will succeed!2 -
ROUND 65 (Round 11 for me)
5’5” 66 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
GW 135-140 lb.
Started Keto WOE on September 24th (2018). Still experiencing decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain since the second week of Keto. Staying within calorie limits is easy enough, but not exceeding my carb limit is difficult. I don’t use my KetoMojo meter every day, but I’ve only been out of ketosis for a couple of days since the second week when the meter arrived. Some of my NSVs: feeling less self-conscious, wedding band fits, smaller clothing, and my happy husband, whether he’s inspired to quit his cigarette habit or not.
Rounds 54 – 64 resulted in a cumulative loss of 33.6 lb. The closer I get to my goal, the more excited and motivated I become! When I reach maintenance, my plan it to continue checking in on these rounds. I really do appreciate and enjoy your company!
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 144.8 Hello again! Let’s make this a great round! My scale is up a little this morning. I was up early to cook for lunch at church. My poor husband wass sick most of the night. It may be the fried fish he ate last night that I brought home for him on Thursday. It was a lunch special, but had three large filets of catfish. I meant to throw the last one away yesterday—wish I had. I guess something else could be going on with him. Thor and I had a good walk yesterday, but cut it a little short, 4.8 mi. We met the owners of a dog that’s been harassing and following us. I don’t want to see him run over.
01/14 143.8 I’m about to go to work, so I’ll have to catch up on posts this evening. Monday is my MFP check-in day, so I wanted to enter that before I forget.
01/15 143.4 I could have walked yesterday afternoon, but it was cold and windy, and I try to avoid cold and windy. The high today should be 50F and cloudy, still too cold, but I’ll probably take Thor and walk this afternoon after the Women’s Club luncheon and meeting. My grandmother and great grandmother and two great aunts were charter members of the club, long ago, and I like spending time and having fun with my neighbors. My favorite meetings last year were hula dancing, clogging, and learning to milk a goat!
01/16 143.6 Thor and I increased our walk yesterday—6.4 miles. We returned home tired, and my hip/back was a bit sore. It’s still a little sore this morning, which may account for the small gain on the scale this morning. I enjoyed the Women’s Club meeting, except for the lunch—they went with sandwiches, chips, boiled quail eggs, and cake. Three of us at my table ate a quail egg (they’re tiny 😊), the chicken salad and pimento cheese out of quarter sandwiches (tossed the bread), and no cake. It’s good to have like-minded friends.
01/17 142.6 I expected the scale to be more kind today. I’ve recovered from my long walk and will try to do another walk this afternoon. First, I’ll go play Bunco with my friends. Reading the post about freezing and sub-zero areas has me shivering just thinking about it! My husband and I leave the thermostat at 70F in the winter, and we’re still both bundled up and uncomfortably cold. We’re expecting a real freeze this weekend. I may have to give in and have a couple of glasses of wine to warm me up! I gave up wine when I started keto, since I tend to prefer sweeter wines. We’ll see how I cope.
01/18 143.0 Up a little, that must be how my body coped with the wine and the last bite of pecan pie I finished last night! I’ve been nibbling on that pie since Christmas. My husband ate a couple of slices and half the pie was devoured at a church dinner. I’ll miss it, but it’s best that it’s gone. Thor and I didn’t get a walk yesterday. I was needed as the fourth player for a Canasta game after Bunco, so I pretty much played games all day. My only workout was pushups and situps, and I can’t do many of those. The plan is to keep doing them until I get better and stronger. I worked today, but left early to take a walk. It was drizzly out, but I put on a bright jacket and a hat, and I took Thor on a 3-mile walk, which is better than no walk.
01/19 142.8 My husband and I just finished breakfast. I like lazy Saturdays. I took my neighbor to work this morning. I heard her yelling at my gate. For some reason, her car was in her front yard, stuck in the mud, and she couldn’t find her keys or phone. I’m grateful that’s not my day and grateful we don’t have snow like so much of the country. I feel particularly blessed. 😊 I hope the rest of you have a blessed day, too, especially you snow lovers.
01/20 143.4 No explanation. Perhaps the Lord is humbling me. We went to a buffet last night, and, while my husband ate ice cream and cookies, I finished his steak as my dessert. Thor and I expect to take a walk after church, which may keep the scale up again tomorrow. I’d like to finish the near 142. We’ll see. I know the last 10 lb. loss can be a struggle. My sights are set on a steady 135 before I begin maintenance. I know all my days are blessed, but Sundays are still special. Have a blessed day!
01/21 143.6 Thor and I took a 6.4 mile walk yesterday, so I didn’t expect the scale to be kind—maybe tomorrow. (fingers crossed) I rose early for work, too, and that never helps. I watched the super blood wolf moon lunar eclipse last night. What was a treat! I left work early and thought of walking again today, but it’s uncomfortably windy out, so I choose to stay inside. Maybe I’ll cook or clean or both! I have to complete my sit-ups and push-ups, too.

@tlgale - I understand the feeling of loss regarding your relationship. When I left my ex-husband many years ago, I had to go to counseling. Even though he had made our last year of marriage a nightmare for me, I still mourned the loss of the many years of happiness we had. Those feelings caught me off guard and I saw a therapist for about 6 months when I realized I couldn't just "get over it." That was 20 years ago and I don't regret leaving him, but I'm happy I was able to heal with the help of a professional.8

2nd round here we go
OSW 6th Jan 2019 88kg
RSW 85.1kg {- 2.9kg or 6.4lbs}
RGW 83.5kg
01/13 85kg I made my 3kg in my 1st week which makes me so happy. Now not to give up when it slows down! I'll keep on logging everything and keep to my Keto macros.
01/14 85kg still in the green for calories and macros. Dogs my morning run after sedentary Sunday.
01/15 84.9kg scale give me 2 different scores so I took the highest. Still going strong with everything. Tried the push ups but could hardly do level 1 even on my knees! Will keep at it. All Christmas wrought gone... Now to lose the last long vacation weight!
01/16 84.5kg still all green. A short fast (for me!) run this morning and I did my evening workout last night. I really loathe burpees.
01/17 84.1kg this makes me very happy! Stayed in the green. Dry January going well and did the strength training... Working up to the push ups!
01/18 84.1kg short morning run done and exercise last night. Stayed in the green. Feeling positive!
01/19 84kg it's coming off slowly. Official weigh in tomorrow. Still keeping it green, loving everything and exercising on the evening... Still not liking burpees!
01/20 83.8kg. 1.2 kg down for the official weigh in. Squeezed the exercise in despite my football (soccer) watching commitments. Running tomorrow.
01/21 84.1kg a blip up for no reason so no worries... It will come off soon. Kept it all green and doing exercises. 3km run this morning despite the rain, soggy shoes and a fall.
01/22 84.2 another blip up but I'm still in the greens so I'm not going to stress because if I only weighed weekly I wouldn't even notice. Down 0.9 kg (2lbs) for the round.11
