1/13 - 243.3 - @ Camp no scale; using WI from 1/10 for start of this round. 17 day tracking streak! Yesterday walked the nearby county park and gardened. Long drive home today. Need to watch the snacking, fast food, drink plenty of water and walk this evening.
1/14 - 244.1 - Up a little after the weekend at fishing camp which is not a surprise but I was so much more in control. Less snacking, less alcohol. Could have moved more. And then when returned home my sister made sodium laden red beans and rice. Lots of water to offset.
1/14 - 243 - Couldn't believe the scale this morning so hoped back on again at 10am. It looks like it was a fluke earlier. I wish it was always that easy to drop.
1/15 -242.3 - Drinking water, cut back on alcohol, less snacking, less sitting more standing/walking.

1/17 - 243.2 - Yesterday โฆ Oh boy oh boy oh boy. Stressful day at work. No snacking but challenges. Large spaghetti at lunch. Salad at book club but with 2 glasses of wine. Not enough water all day. Positive: walked 1+ miles in the rain to burn off some of the stress. Not once but twice!
1/18 - 242.1 - Too much desk time and not enough water. Walked loop 1+ miles. Oreo Cheesecake dessert I made for fundraiser that has now been cancelled was calling me yesterday and caved twice. Taking it to party Sat to get it out of the house. Todayโs challenge โฆ no dessert TODAY!
1/19 - 242.1 - Well I caved to that darn dessert again yesterday. Win was that I left food on my plate at lunch. Didnโt feel the need want desire to finish it. Walked the Galleria Mall with my daughter for steps.
1/20 - 242.4 - too much food and poor choices made at party last night, no alcohol was my win for the day, walked 1+ miles
1/21 - 241.1 - walked 3 miles yesterday. Threw all the leftover dessert out of the house after everyone left last night! Official Monday WI down 4 lbs for the year!
1/22 - 241.6 - Yesterday book club boxed up half my meal! Walked 3+ miles. Lots of water. Good day.15 -

We also have snow & that is ok but the temps are too low(20's).This is normal western Pa.weather. We have been spoiled so far,so no complaing from me,at least not yet.

Give it a try.
1/18=189.5 Got the steps in yesterday(day 22) I want to make a month,looks like it may happen thanks to bike & water aerobics..Who knew I could,If we get the snow I will be forced to stay home & then it becomes hard...My walking has improved bc of morning walks with L.S. My goal is to be able to walk for Our big trip in Aug.They want me to get a wheelchair BUT I am determined not to.Thanks to all who make me laugh,encourage,motivate & let me know how similar we all are in this Journey.

I have a Misfit activity tracker.It is inexpensive & water Proof.It needs to sync to phone to see results.I like it bc I am in the water lot. Just another choice.

1/22=Down 2.9 this round thanks to Keto.Have been able to keep goals for water,Cals,Carbs& Exercise with10000 steps.Will try again next round bc this frigid temp makes it more difficult although my walking is better but still need water classes to get those steps in. Congrats to all.

01/16 โ 174 Ugh the last few days have sucked when itโs come to weight loss. Iโve literally gone nowhere. I had aunt flo come to visit and that usually makes me gain weight and be very bloated. Plus didnโt exercise. But Today is a new day. I ordered Isagenix and all my stuff came last night. Iโm excited to restart and reboot!!
01/17 172 โ The 16th was an Isagenix Shake day and a big workout. The 17th- I did an Isagenix Cleanse, ie itโs more of a fast. But you also lose weight very fast. The bad part is mental fogginess.
01/18 169.6 โ- I said OMG!! (in a good way) when i saw the number on the scale today. Iโm not one of these Isagenix salespersons (but can took you ip if you need!) but itโs given me very fast results here when Iโve been incredibly stuck all month and feeling out of control!...Iโm so happy to have my toe in the 160s again!! Also I definitely see a difference with belly fat down. Today is a shake day and I just want to keep this going!

01/20 172 went to gym in -18C @8:30am for a boot camp class. Iโm proud of myself for going even though Iโm really disappointed in my non weight loss so far. Scale seems to be going the wrong way This happens to me ALOT whenever Iโve tried to lose weight. Iโm trying to stick with it though and see if I can build up my overall fitness and muscle tone.

I don't know if it helps but you are not alone. I know this is a lifestyle and not a diet but at the same time it is agrivating, I also can't have a "normal" weekend without crazy up ticks. The only thing I have noticed is the longer you maintain at a weight the less of an uptick you will have. I used to have 6+lb up ticks but now I don't see more than 4. Just stick to it and eventually those up ticks won't be as much, especially when your body finally clues into your body's weight change. You got this!8 -

01/14 11st 8.2lb Later weigh in, not that it's done me any favours. Had less than allowed MFP calories yesterday. I was going to go for a walk today but the weather looks miserable outside. I really need to reset my bedtime and getting up time so that I start having normal days again.

I went to bed 3 hours earlier than yesterday, but it didn't help that much as I couldn't sleep for ages even though I'd fallen asleep on the sofa for an hour before I went to bed. Was restless much of the night. Despite coming in at less calories again and actually getting out yesterday for the walk I still haven't had a loss. Disappointed.

@tlgale i'm sorry you're feeling lonely. I know it's not the same as IRL, but at least this group isn't going anywhere. Others have already provided great advice I think.
@back2cute Don't feel bad. What you feel is a tough time is absolutely legitimate and shouldn't be measured against others. As for the comfort eating, I only realised through this group that i'm an emotional eater - when I need a reward, when i'm stressed, when i'm sad... I try to replace eating with a tea or coffee (no sugar) and watching a series, doing some yoga, and I started writing down things I'm grateful for/annoyed me. Especially updating this every day, throws up a lot of things that feel good to write down - and the nice notebook and pen were a reward, better than chocolate

01/13 143.8 a slight bump up, yesterday was hard. A big family breakfast and dinner and although I started out great, by the end of the day I gave in after dinner to snacks. Sheeeeesh! This is getting more and , more difficult as I go on. Work so hard to loose a little, takes nothing to gain a little. I am going to have to pre-plan for next week. I will schedule Saturdays as my rest day workout wise (there is no way to get around it) but my eating needs to be on point. I'm ok with a cheat meal here and there but it can't be on a day I don't work out

01/14 145.8 WHAT THE FUNK!!! I know this weekend was rough for me, I know I didn't workout yesterday, got minimal steps in and my eating wasn't the greatest but this is so dissapointing all the same. I want to say I deserve this but I also don't. I looked at my exercise log and noticed that I worked out for the last 8 days straight and managed to only maintain, yet I have two bad nights (not two whole days, just around dinner time) and my weight bumps up this much. I am getting so aggravated now. This was my number after 10 days of Christmas holidays...so like I said WHAT THE FUNK!! I am so grumpy today ๐ซ๐ง
01/15 no weigh in. Woke up late jogged and some weight lifting yesterday but not much else
01/16 143.8 and back to my number at the beginning of the round. The past couple of days I have been grumpy and slightly depressed (besides this group I have been telling others I wasn't feeling well, it's so much easier then explaining depression). It demotivated me and although I did get a jog and some weight training in on Monday and yesterday had 90 min of volleyball, today I am determined to do my usual routine and get my butt back into it. I am finally sick of this number and am ready to change it. Yesterday I only got 4000+ steps (like I said wasn't feeling the greatest) but I did eat under calories and 2 liters of water. If I have trouble loosing by the end I am going to try the egg fast @deepwoodslady has been talking about.
01/17 144.4 did nothing to deserve this uptick, this is getting frustrating. +30,000 steps, worked out, ate under Calories and 1.8 liters of water. I am half determined and half annoyed. Why is this getting so darn difficult. Work out like crazy but only manage a maintain or smal gain๐ง๐ง trying to keep my head on straight. I am usually an upbeat, motivated person but I do crash at times and when I fall, I fall. I am trying to keep going and not consintrate on the number too much. Wanted to be bellow 140s by the time my birthday hit but that came and went and I was fine.., then wanted to be bellow the 140s by my 9 year anniversary (Jan 23rd) but I am starting to think that won't happen and it is really concerning me. Sorry for whining. Just aggravated

I don't know if it's the time of the year because I had this same trouble last year around this time and maybe my body is just holding onto some fat in order to be betrer insilated for the winter. Today I realized this whole time I wasn't upset about not being able to loose, i was upset about trying so hard and to not see the scale budge at all, makes me wonder what would have happened if I wasn't trying. I guess I can finally answer the question about all the steady gains in my life and how I could have possibly let it get away from me. After these ten days it will be officially a month of no change. Thank gosh I feel better, over all when I workout or else I don't know if I would have continued sticking too it. I can feel the frustration, nipping at my willpower. My thoughts are, if I am going to gain anyway I might as well stop watching everything, weighing everything, using alternative methods for food....but I know I have to stop these thoughts dead, trying to remind myself it's about being healthy, weight loss is just the bonus. Once again sorry for the rant, i have been grumpy all week.
01/19142.0 Wow! That's all I have to say. My scale said 141.6 but after jumping on a couple more times, this came up. I am so confused, yesterday I ate so much food, I was so hungry it wasn't even funny. However I did work out good and got in a little over 17000 steps and drank 1.5 liters of water. I also took my measurements this morning and have lost 1/2 an inch almost everywhere so I am actually relieved and happy today with the results. I just hope they stick around or I can continue this steady drop over the next couple of days *fingers crossed*
01/20 143 I did this to myself. I had a great day but once UFC started and the food stated rolling in, I couldn't help myself. The only NSV here is it wasnt treats, chips, popcorn or pizza. Surprisingly it was the chicken and steak, mini, homemade, smoked kabobs that got me. It didn't kill my calories but it was eaten later than 7. So pretty much a late night snack. I was so excited to stay on the path after yesterday's weigh in but for some reason, every time I mention a drop in weight...or "killing it" I, on the same day tend to sabatoge myself. Ahh well. Today is a new day.
01/21 didn't weigh in, woke up really late and had to rush.
01/22141.8 finally!!! My gosh my body is really making me fight for it. I am happy with this. Down a pound and didn't make my goal but I am ok with that, as long as I am seeing some sort of result. Walked +18000 steps, drank 1.25 liters (I know, i know I really need to get better at this) exercised and stayed under calories.

BTW I love that you post your old results from the other challenges and can watch your weight loss journey but I can see itโs taken dedication and many weeks and rounds. I can relate to this so much, as well as going up on the scale for no apparent reason sometimes. Iโm so glad I found this board.. Been struggling on my own for a very long time.9

Going to need rest of the day to get back in the swing of things.

1/13 178.6 Iโll take it. Iโve had no power since yesterday around 1 pm. Missed the Chiefs beating the Colts! Go Chiefs!!!! Instead got a 2 mile walk in just around the neighborhood. It was beautiful. A lady stopped me to ask if I needed a ride. I thanked her for the offer, explained that I was just walking for the pleasure of it. She just nodded her head and drove off. This morning Iโm going to shovel the driveway and consider that my exercising for the day. Must conserve phone power
1/14 No Scale Still now power. Used some points from all my work travel to stay at a hotel. I really needed a hot shower so I could come to work clean today! Fingers crossed the power comes back on while I'm here. There are still over 40,000 people in the greater Kansas City area without power. I know they're working on it. I did stay within calories yesterday. My only exercise was shoveling my driveway but depending on what app you believe it burned either 380 or 650. I assumed the lower number but still a good workout. My legs are sore today. I forgot to celebrate that I'm in the 170's. It's been at least 10 years since I was in the 170s. NSV due to the weather I needed to wear warm slacks and packed accordingly. When I got dressed this morning I didn't realize how long it had worn them. They're too big!!! Of course I'm stuck in them all day but it's the price of of all this and I'm happy to pull them up every time I stand up!
1/15 180.2 Up over a pound but I suspect it's that old demon sodium. I had to attend a work lunch yesterday at a Chinese restaurant. Impossible to avoid it. Good news the power is back on!!! I did not get to work out yesterday as I has planned. Dealing with house stuff and work stuff made it impossible. I'm going tonight. I have a hair appt at 5:00 so I won't be able to go until after but my body needs the workout. I've not been going over calories, but haven't been eating super healthy either. A work out and a salad will do me a world of good. I think I'll be back down to at least 179.X tomorrow. It's a roller coaster baby try to enjoy the ride.
1/16 180.2 Again but Iโm pretty sure itโs still retained water. Ate within calories and got a little over an hour at the gym doing weights. Should be back on the trail today as long as it doesnโt rain.
1/17 180.0 At this point I'll be happy if I get back to where I started at this round. I guess it could be lingering sodium. I don't know. As I say every round: trust the process. I just need constant reminders. I stayed within goals and walked three miles in the freezing mist. Actually wasn't that bad. Going again tonight, I found a trail that has been cleared of snow!!! I don't have good shoes for walking in snow. Ten feet from my car my foot "broke" thru the snow. I went home with one wet cold foot HAHAHA.
1/18 180.4 And the hits just keep coming. Up today despite staying within calories and exercising yesterday. On my way to work there was an accident that forced me on a different route. Which prompted my desire to get something not so healthy for breakfast instead of the oatmeal that was waiting for me at the office. I was feeling sorry for myself at 180.4 and thought a McDonald's sausage biscuit would taste pretty good right about now. As I got closer I started to think of how good it would taste, then I remembered how my stomach would feel about an hour later. How three days ago I felt like junk because of bad food choices. So my positive thought for the day is I drove away from McD's without that crappy breakfast and instead enjoyed my healthier choice. I gotta take that as a win.
1/19 179.9 At least it's down. No exercise yesterday and probably none today. Freezing rain followed by snow. Fingers crossed we keep the power this week. My yard is still full of branches, it's 9 degrees and still snowing. Old Kris would bake and eat a bunch of cookies. I guess I'll do an exercise video or something. I started this round down 35 pounds and I just want to get back to that. When I lost weight before I plateaued at 180 pounds. This is bringing back bad memories.
1/20 179.9 Yes well I didn't walk on Saturday too cold. Stayed within calories but not healthy ones.
1/21 181.5 I blame the Chiefs for this. I was pretty good until the 4th quarter then I stress ate like a monster. Salami slices with cheese and crackers. Graduating to mini cookies and even been a slice of cake. We can blame bad officiating favoring Tom Brady but I think it was an overall weak defense... AGAINST SNACKS!
1/22 182.1 I walked four miles yesterday and three the day before in freezing sub freezing temps and I'm still up. The trail was mostly clear of ice (trees were all over the place) but I still managed to fall and have a bruise on my backside to prove it. Granted I'm getting kind of addicted to walking in the cold (after the first 1/2 mile) but still. I had a weird food day yesterday. No breakfast, then we went to a pan Asian restaurant for lunch and had a salad I don't know how to log (I took a stab anyway) and shared some ramen, that while delicious, I'm sure is full of sodium. I was good for dinner but knew I'd still but up today just not up even higher. I'm going to avoid sodium today and hope for a whoosh tomorrow. Otherwise this will be my worst round yet. It's the curse of the 180's or maybe I'm manufacturing this with memories. How can we know?10 -

I've decided to stop obsessing about calories, at least for this round, and to focus on macros (approx. 20% P, 30% F, 50% carbs, mostly veggies, fruit, and whole grains) plus exercise, meditation, fun, community, and sleep. Although I'd like to weigh about 10-12 pounds less, I'm at a healthy weight and feel good, so as maintenance or slow loss, I'm happy either way.

Yesterday was a good day. I was on track with food, although my macros were off (too much fat, not enough veggie carbs), and I had a great 90 minute workout at the Y - walking, weights, bike. I love the Precor video bikes - I rode up a mountain in the Italian Alps! I'm making gluten free crab cakes for lunch -- mmmmmm!

Didn't make it to the gym yesterday, but I'm heading there in a few minutes. Weight steady this round, which is fine considering I've been baking up a storm - bread, healthy muffins.... Don't know what's gotten into me - must be the COLD weather! The upside is that I'm eating more calories and holding pretty steady. The downside is that although I'm at a healthy weight, I'd like to be 10-15 pounds lighter. I plan to get there in 2019, but slowly is fine. So on to R66!

01/15 - Tuesday - 175.0 - I considered sitting this round out. My mental health is taking a beating at the moment with work related things for both me and DH. NOT focusing on that stress though. Only solutions. And I realized that burying my head in the sand and ignoring my own physical health would only be feeding the stress monster, not solutions. I do plan to give myself some grace this round and not push as hard - My mom, grandma and myself are going on a Spa sleepover for grandma's 85th birthday Thursday/Friday! Good genes on that side of the family! Timing could not be better. So, taking things one day, one step, one foot in front of the other at a time.
01/16 - Wednesday - 176.0 - TOM is due Saturday but we also have been TTC this month - so not sure if I'm extra hungry with TOM actually due or if I we did perhaps conceive this month - I'll find out soon enough. Just hoping that if TOM does come it waits til after mini vaca. Either way I was just so hungry last night. I kept trying to reign it in but I was like the hungry caterpillar, little of this, little of that on and on. I'm going away tomorrow and wont be home til Friday night so no weigh ins and unplugging. Really really really working on my attitude at work, because I chose how I react to situations, not the situation getting a desired reaction out of me! It's really hard to be positive sometimes, but after all, most good things don't come easy.

01/22 - Tuesday - 179.6 - Well I just Freudian slipped and typed 197 at first, and it was a good reminder that I HAVE come a long way despite this emotional eating uptick. I'm still learning. I did have a wonderful and relaxing girls trip that included nothing but relaxing and eating. TOM did arrive Saturday, that made me sad, but its probably for the best right now. Work continues to beat me down in a serious way. I may be moving on. That's been terrifying for me. But I knew I needed to come back and post a final weigh in for accountability. I AM NOT GIVING UP! Not on my weight loss, not on my professional improvement, not on myself!11
