Yes, they are delicious! You can buy frozen ready made ones now, but they are nowhere near as good!!! Luckily I find them very simple to make so it's not an issue, and I make a big batch of the batter and freeze it in portions to use in future weeks which saves time.
My mother in law makes a large version with sultanas etc in it which is different, but also REALLY tasty! I never stay within my calories when we go to her house for dinner! haha2 -

Round 65 SW: 216.4
1/13—216.6—Excellent. I was afraid yesterday's number was a fluke and that I'd bounce way high again. Yesterday, at the very end of round 64, I managed 31 push ups. I'm nearly 1/3 of the way to my end of year goal of being able to do 100 push ups in a single set. Losing more weight would likely help me with that goal!
1/14—219—Least shocking spike ever. I didn't eat well yesterday but had a true salt fest.
1/15—217—It'd be interesting to see where this number would be if I could stop eating salt-laden snacks. Bah!
1/16—218.4—I have no explanation other than a slightly earlier weigh-in. Huh! Still, I'm feeling pretty good.
1/17—218.2—Hmm hmm hmm. This round has been a puzzle. Work is very hectic right now, but I like being busy. I'm not eating terribly, but it's not spectacular either.
1/18—216.6—Back to the first day's weight. Yesterday, after I did another round of my push ups challenge, I realized that I had just done 100 push ups in around 10 minutes (they were staggered across 8 sets, with 1 minute breaks between sets). I'm getting close to my goal!
1/19—216—Still not a perfect eating day yesterday, but it was better! I've started a new 30-day Butt and Gut challenge. Not high-intensity but something to keep me doing some strength/core exercises every day.
1/20—216.6—The push ups challenge had me do 120 pushups in about 15 minutes last night. My arms felt incredibly weak after that! I went bowling this morning and I could feel some stress in my shoulders. I cut it short to be safe. But I bowled really well!
1/21—215.6—Excellent! This has been a nice round for me. I hope anyone in the US with the day off is able to spend it in refreshing and rejuvenating ways.
1/22—214.6—Nice way to end a round. Continuing with the Butt and Gut 30 day challenge, and today I hope to do another test of my push ups ability. I need to get to 45 to advance in the program!

@kmfeig87 You are doing an outstanding job! I just realized you are averaging over 2# each round! Stick with it, you can do it! Those 14x weights are just around the corner!
@deepwoodslady Donna, good job earning the PB before you enjoyed it!
@back2cute I’m sorry you’re having such a rough go of it. You can be strong and make it through. You’re right to continue here, not only to keep a handle on your weight but for the moral support. We all care about you!

Goals:
Weight:
Short Term Goal: Lose 2 pounds this round.
First Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 175 by Valentine’s Day 💗💗💗 I hope to achieve this by losing about 1.5 pounds per week (or 2 lbs per round).
My Second Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 155 by my Birthday on May 10th by sticking to my plan to lose 1.5 pounds per week (or 2 lbs per round).
My third Long Term Weight Goal: To weigh 145 by the 4th of July using the same plan as above.
Exercise:
During each Weight goal I plan on increasing my walking (back to what I did when I was on a downward trend). I also want to increase my cardio and regularly use weights to help firm my flabby arms.

01/18 186.2 Okay, even a small change downward is encouraging. Great day yesterday Healthwise. I got in 66 minutes of aerobic dancing in two sets. My son did one set of 39 minutes with me. He complained a little about it being too long, so I may cut his down to about 30 minutes temporarily until he adjusts. I don’t want him to cross his arms and downright quit and that would be a distinct possibility if I don’t act fast! However, he fully cooperated with the set at the moment. My Keto day went absolutely fantastic. I am always so happy when I feel so strong and stick with it like this. My mind took over last night in bed and I wanted to snack for sure. Hunger or Habit? I still don’t know. I may have gotten hungry from the late night set of dancing. I tried tons of water but that wasn’t it. I drank some tea and it helped for a bit, but I was up hours later and it came back nagging. So I am proud to say that I got on MFP and checked my macros to see what would be more helpful instead of hurtful. I was a bit down on protein so I made a slimfast advanced nutrition high protein smoothie using almond milk (unsweetened) instead of milk to keep the carb count down to 2. It helped fill me up AND combat my sweet tooth. I don’t like to do this everyday, it does have sweeteners in it, but it is nice to have some ammunition to load in my gun if I need it, and it fit the bill last night. I think today is going to be another great day. I have already done one small set of aerobic dancing and am minding my IF 16:8 again. I actually hit 6 hours of sleep last night which I haven’t done in over a month. Water…… I have glass in hand and I’m coming for you today!
01/19 186.2 Okay. Still the same. But I can’t do everything right & have it go wrong so I’ll accept steady. Over 15,000 steps yesterday. 6.5 miles walked including 2 miles at the school. Stayed on plan with nearly perfect macros. Fought hunger for LNS with walnuts & 1 square of 90% cacao chocolate. Approx 45 minutes of aerobic dancing in two sets (as time allows). Feeling good and I know a whoosh will come soon. Today I take my DGS out for their hair appointments and to lunch. I will probably pass on the food and just behold their beautiful faces instead of stuffing mine. Out of town next week so I cannot afford to undo my mindset now. Have a great Saturday everyone!
01/20 186.0 Negative 14 degrees F last night actual. Brrrr. A little under calories yesterday, a little over on the carbs. Ended up eating some of the pizza with my DGS’s in the pizzeria yesterday, but kept it under control calorie wise. Not as much movement since I was gone a lot in the afternoon and had company last night, but I did get in a bit of dancing in-between. I won’t bore you with all the songs I’m using but one of the songs was “All Summer Long” by Kid Rock. Of course, I will have to admit that part of its charm is the “Northern Michigan” line in it since that is where I’m from (Kid Rock is a Michigander too). I must say I like a huge mix of music from classic rock to oldies bop to country and everything in-between as long as it makes me feel great when I hear it. I am loving this new Amazon Dot with my Prime though some versions of the songs are not my favorite. Total steps 11,121 Total miles 4.72.
01/21 185.4 Yessssss…… The dancing is starting to finally show up on the scale in a positive way! Sample song from yesterday- “Kick the dust up” by Luke Bryan. 4 hours 4 minutes of sleep. 41 minutes of aerobic dance. Tons of housekeeping in business & home (much much more to do today as I prep for a general insurance inspection on all the cabins, my house, garage, rental house next door and all outbuildings. Ugg). 15,251 steps yesterday and 6.47 general miles. IF 16:8 . Excellent macro ratio/percentages. Just under calorie count. At carb count. I wanted a TBSP of peanut butter last night so I walked up & down my hallway until I reached a mile so I could “earn” it first. I’m not always quite this dedicated, but I’m working on it. I hope for more & more of these strong days.
01/22 187.1Drats! I feel like all I have to do is think about food and I gain more in an afternoon than I can lose in 10 days! Inspection of motel, cabins, houses and outbuildings today. Worked like mad yesterday getting ready. 17,602 steps. 7.45 miles. No dancing or planned exercise, just too busy. Went out to quick lunch to keep the kitchen clean & save time overall. Ordered breakfast (good for low carb) but it came with pancakes. My son & I split the meal. Later last night, I fell into bed, exhausted and starving. I made crackers with cream cheese and ate too many (about 10). That was my dinner. Upward swing on the scale was expected due to carbs, but not this much! Disappointed because I know how long it will take to come off compared to how it comes on. Inspections begin at 1:00 . I just can’t wait for this to be over! Nice job to everyone who found some sort of success in this round. I didn’t lose any weight but I certainly got lots of support and ideas. Thanks for the incentive. See you next round!

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

My goals this round- get to into the 160’s!!!!!!. Drink lots of water and make exercise a priority.
1/13-170 I got a good downward swoosh!!! I so badly want to get into the 160’s.
1/14-171 a swoosh up. Back in the day, in my 20’s I could pretty much lose a pound a day if I exercised and starved myself. Its a whole different ball game now!😂
1/15-171 Dinner out with the quilters, I made wise choices but it was salty. Non stop rain; the dogs and I want to walk.
1/16-170 Went to the movies; took my own popcorn with real butter and sea salt -absolutely rewarding. Today I travel to MIL’s for a couple of days; hopefully I can get out and walk and avoid all of the bread and potatoes that are there.
1/17-No Scale
1/18-No Scale
1/19-170 Whew! While I was gone, we ate pizza out and had pasta and French bread, usually I just throw in the towel and continue to eat like a pig when I get home. I stayed on track as best as I could and think I can hit the 160’s this round.
1/20-172 A swoosh up after good choices of salty lunch yesterday and not enough water. Tomorrow should be better.
1/21-168-Finally!!! A swoosh down and I am into toe 160’s! I am excited! I have not had time to exercise because I am packing to move, bu I am making wise food choices.
1/22-169 Oh, the ups and downs.....yesterday I had to drive 6 hours in the car and didn’t drink much water. At least I didn’t eat crap on the way, to entertain myself. I ate pretty light. I want to stay in the 160’s.
See all of you the next round!11 -
RSW 179.8 I worked too hard to get out of the 180"s to let this go on any longer.
1/13 178.2 partly water woosh, partly late weigh in - still a long way to go to get get back to my recent low.
1/14 177.6 more woosh! So many posts! It is great to have so many companions on the journey. Its a bit like a pilgrimage, except that when we get where we're going (Santiago maybe?) we will want to stay.
1/15 176.8 more woosh! lots of walking yesterday and lots of water.
1/16 176.6 So the woosh is done. Now it is time for the slow and steady. I will be attending Mass this afternoon and will remember this group in my prayers.
1/17 177 bounce! my kitchen is still in mid-reno, so it was pizza for dinner last night. I haven't been able to do detailed tracking but it has been kind of a nice break from that. I am ready to get back to it when I get my kitchen back.
1/18 176.2 This is especially nice as I was expecting a gain due to too many salted almonds. I have an event tonight - I will try not to get carried away.
1/19 175.8 Another nice surprise! I did well at my event but caved to LNS when I got home. Plan today is 2 hour open invite workout at DS TaeKwonDo school - if the weather does not get too bad. We are getting lots of snow this weekend. It has already started several hours sooner than forecast.
There are so many posts - I am having trouble keeping up - but I am very happy to see you all here.
1/20 DNW I am really proud of myself. I did the whole 2 hour Tae Kwon Do training. I was definitely the oldest and the heaviest person there - I was partnered with a lady who is more than 20 years younger than me, but I kept up with the class and did not need any extra breaks. I did have to modify some exercises as I don't have the flexibility for some of them. Afterwards my knees were a bit sore and I was very hungry - but I had fun (and did not embarrass DS1 too much). Last night DS2 was having a rough time so I was very late to bed and slept until noon today. So I missed church and my weigh in. Lots to do today -my new cupboards are installed in the kitchen - now I need to clean them and start putting things away.
1/21 176.4 Not surprising. We are still without fridge and stove, so living on convenience food, so over cals and sodium I am sure. Still a bit sore from Saturday's workout, but in a good way!
1/22 178.6 Some of that is sodium related and some is just overeating. Still I am down 1.2 for the round. On to round 66 (now I have the Route 66 song stuck in my head) I haven't been logging since mu kitchen has been under reno but I am going to start again even if it is just approximations. I think I need reality check.11 -

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
1/12 129.5
::::::::::::::::::
01/13 129.5 Fourth day in the 129.x range. Today DD#2 turns 46. She was 3 weeks early, according to the doctor. At 7# 9 oz, I’m glad she didn’t wait! The doctor thought it was false labor and told Carl to give me 3 aspirins and a cup of strong tea. Before I finished the tea, the cramping was about every 3 minutes. Carl called the doctor and the doctor said the emergency room would be waiting for me! Someone was at the door to whisk me away while Carl took DD#1 to the sitter 2 blocks away. By the time he got back beautiful DD#2 had arrived. 21 minutes from door to done! I always thought it was interesting that DD#1 was born at 5:08 and DD#2 was born 5 hours and 8 minutes later (plus 2 years and 9 days.) I often wondering what time #3 would have been born, had there been a #3. My mind is weird! Happy birthday
**01/14 128.5 I don’t think I posted yesterday. I was busy in the kitchen all day getting ready for company for dinner.
01/15 129.5 We had friends for dinner last night. I tried 2 new recipes one for Garlicky Butter Parmesan Pork Chops and one for Blood Orange Rum Cake, both Keto. Then I also made the ketofied version of Boston Market butternut squash and the not even close to Keto dinner rolls I always used to make. I think it’s been 2 years since I made those. I ate 3 of them, in the past I would have eaten lots more. I’m still (barely) in nutritional ketosis so time to get back on track. Less than 2 qt of water.
01/16 128.5. Good day yesterday. Today Art Quilts and tonight community BINGO.
01/17 129.5 Car dropped off at dealer, coffee consumed, going to craft with a friend - we each do our own thing but it’s nice to have sometime chat with. Two years ago today the cardiologist told me I had NOT had a heart attack and my weight was 174.5. I am proud of myself for the progress I have made and thank God for sending me Keto!
01/18 129.0. Had a good day yesterday. Car window fixed and spark plugs changed (long overdue apparently.) Movie and dinner out today.
01/19 129.5 We saw Escape Room. We both thought it was better than the “C” rating it had in the paper. Golden Corral for dinner last night. I needed a steak fix! Had salad, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and a few sautéed mushrooms. Only 4 hours of sleep last night. UGH Going back to bed now!
01/20 129.5 I did go back to sleep yesterday but only for about 40 minutes - not enough! We went to see our favorite band last night. Someone was smoking a cigar which was quite unpleasant even from 30 feet away. I got a headache which stuck with me all night but is finally gone.
01/21 129.5 Eating yesterday weird but within calories and macros.
01/22 129.0 Very pleased with this round! See you in Rnd 66 —

@sue_01 Okay, Sue, it's the end of another round, so give me a clue! Maybe I just haven't been here long enough to know your story, but are you here to maintain or to lose weight? I never see grumbling from you, so whatever you're doing must be working. Right?0

@back2cute Sorry you're going through a stressful time. It may not help to remind you everyone else has those times, too. We cope in different ways. I pray and stay busy. Years ago, I ran to relieve stress in my chaotic marriage. It kept me slim. I only gained weight when I remarried and became relaxed and content. Everything has a price! Over the years, I've learned prayer and studying God's Word keeps me focused, through good times and bad. I have Christ, which means I have an advocate with the Father. I wish you well as you work through your issues.0

25th Round for me: Female 65, height 5’
In for another round. I think I'm back to some consistency after subbing work in Nov. and holiday food. Hoping to see a solid loss.Round 39 (1st for me) – SW 163, -.2Goal this round: To get out of the 160’s or at least consistently not above 160. I was down here in Oct. and having so much trouble getting back there. Right now even ½ lb. per round would seem great. My short term goal is to be down at least 6 lb. by the end of March. That is just .8/Round but for me would be great progress.

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 – 162.2 – Thought I had a loss in Round 64 but actually a big blip up and then went down but in the end – a tiny gain. Shows the value of this challenge, I see what’s really happening.
01/14 – 162 – Yesterday not a bad day calorie wise but very sedentary. Off to the gym here shortly and a busy day.
01/15 – 161.8 – So happy with this. A little “finishing supper late” when I got home at 10:00 last night as I had to rush out the door to a meeting but quit before it became a snackfest.
01/16 – 161.8 – Not sure this will stay, long day yesterday and went about 200 cals over but off to the gym today so maybe that will work it off.
01/17 – 162.4 – Third day of having a little snack in the evening – 2 cookies, 150 cal.- and here we are. Feeling behind and a little ??? about my friend – I didn’t even realize I was wondering ‘what’s up?’ with the friend until I looked at my eating pattern and saw that I was going downhill since Monday. So glad I realized that and can deal with it head on instead of stuffing it.
01/18 – 162.8 Good cals & no LNS yesterday.
01/19 – 162.2 Cleaning house today, which will get in some movement – still hoping to do a few exercises at home as well. Went to the gym yesterday but was very late getting there. So, for the first time, just did the cardio and a few of the mat exercises. Usually I tell myself I’ll cut it short but I never do even though it throws my day off. Then the next time I’m running late I don’t go at all. Proud of myself for keeping my day in mind and not deceiving myself into thinking I can stretch time to fit in all my wishes. That just ends in a crash and burn evening.
01/20 – 162.4 – a little over yesterday as was hungry in the evening and had banana, skim yogurt and a sprinkle of choc. chips. I think the blip up is more likely our saltier supper. Tried a new seasoning recipe for meat and cut the salt by more than ½ and it was still too salty for me. Otherwise a good recipe.
01/21 – 162.4 – Suddenly invited out for supper last night – very good but not low cal. I did eat carefully but I’m sure was still way over so was kind of expecting a blip up. Off to the gym for a little while but have to get the car home for DH.
01/22 – 161.8 – Nice to finally finish with a little loss. Was afraid that the hamburger & dessert on Sunday would make me finish high. It seems that LNS is much worse for me than a little extra on a meal.
See you all next round!10 -
01/22 ~ 219.2 @ 6:30 am – DANGER Will Robinson ~ 3 cheese pasta, dip and chips stress eating + half-hearted (instead of HIIT) exercise is upon you!! YOU MUST do better today!!! Then I should probably go stand in front of my mirror naked ..... congrats and condolences peeps. See you next round.
@aFit50 This is one of the times I wish for a laugh icon! Love it! We need "laugh" and "woohoo." You not only had a good loss this round, you made me laugh.7 -
Round 65, my 2nd!
10 day goal: Stay in the 160s!
May 17th goal weight: 145
45 female, 5'5"
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 - 166 - happy I didn't gain after eating a burger and drinking a beer last night. I stayed under calorie goal for the day and hiked with my dog.
01/14 - 169.2 - not sure why this is such a big jump... :-(
Yesterday I did a 8 mile trail run and burned 1000+ calories (so says my app). I ate way under calorie goal. Guessing this is a short term gain, I hope.
