01/23 181.9 This is getting to be too much. In 20 days I'm down 1 pound. There is a part of me that thought I'd skip this round. It's too depressing for me when I'm eating within calories and staying focused on exercise with no weight loss. I honestly had one bad calorie day on Sunday, every other day I have been within goal. I keep expecting a whoosh that isn't coming. I need to accept I'm here - not at 178 like I was for a few days. Old Kris tells me to give up and eat whatever I want and how much I want. Screw walking, screw the gym, forget the stupid C25K idea you're too old, fat, out of shape etc. I need to slap the crap out of Old Kris (OK), because that's what I've done every time. Keep me accountable people. I need this challenge.
01/24 181.9 Still here. I walked three freezing miles yesterday and fell on the stupid ice. I'm not walking today, my body is a little sore. I fell on ice twice this week, I think that's a sign. Plus they have temperature warnings for this afternoon, frost bite can set in within 15 minutes of exposure. A good sign to take the night off. My calories were low yesterday, didn't eat back my exercise calories but over on sodium. I guess that's why I'm stuck. On a positive note, have you guys tried the Green Giant Fresh bowls? I had the Teriyaki sauce with sesame seeds bowl last night with a chopped up chicken breast and it was delicious. Thank you again for the support yesterday. The picture below is from my walk yesterday. Stupid winter.
01/25 181.4 Down finally. No exercise, food within goal. It's so cold (overnight 3 degrees, -12 windchill) I couldn't even think about walking outside.

Day/Weight/Comment
01/23 - 189 - Still fighting a cold but I am happy to say that I have reigned my cravings & portions back in. I am looking forward making some progress this round!
01/24 -187 - Finally seeing some results! My cravings for sugar are almost all gone at this point. The key is not to indulge because once I do it’s so hard to stop again.
01/25 - 186 - It’s so nice to see things moving in the right direction! I just have to continue drinking my water, watching my portions & avoiding sugar & carbs. I’m hoping to keep my focus through the “weakend”!

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

Jan 25 - 178.4 - I am running out of projects to stay busy. Today and tomorrow I have plans both days so that should help a bit. I’ll keep at it!12 -

@FarmerCarla I know, it's bittersweet to gain weight when you aren't stressed in a relationship, I also blame my hubby but not only because he makes me feel so content or because when I did reach 180, it didn't stop him from calling me beautiful everyday or that he loved me but because that darn man can eat whatever he wants and not gain a pound, while I wont even eat half of what he did and still managed a significant gain. Sheesh! Lucky him. I wouldn't trade him for the world though, he is amazing10

Day/Weight/Comment
01/23: 230.6 @ 7:03a – It’s always very encouraging to start a round lower than you ended the previous one! I met almost all of my goals today, and I got a Fitbit green screen today for the first time in a while (accomplished goals for steps, miles, calories expended, exercise done, and flights of stairs climbed - all in the same day). The one thing that has been killing me is water intake, which gets tricky if supply is an issue or the day gets busy. I’m going to work on this tomorrow to get back in the swing of things. If this progression sticks for more than a few days then I will update my goal for the round!
01/24: ??? – I had every intention of weighing myself today, but I never got to a point in the day where I felt comfortable doing so. I was okay with this, though, as I put in a lot work to exceed my activity goals for the day. Got in 64 oz. of water to improve on the previous few days and was happy with my food choices. I was surprised with healthy stuffed peppers for dinner and adjusted for it in a way that I am confident will contribute to positive results over the next few days.

01/23🥂 *my 9 year anniversary with my hubby*🥂140.0 Wow, what a whoosh! I also saw 139.8 but didn't want to jinx it, so took the higher number. I will be honest, it might not stay. Today is my anniversary and my man is planning a night of activities so I might indulge. I will be exercising and I will try and eat healthy veggies and fruits but keep the higher end calories for tonight's dinner. It will be an NSV if I stay away from desert, which I am really worried about. My hubby told me I have been doing amazing and it is only one night but I am apprehensive because I am beginning to close the gap between the 40s and 30s and don't want to off set it....but he is right. I always jump back on again and it will just take a few extra days to get back to this weight, but I can do it.
01/24 142 I just love to force myself to really work for my losses lol. Last night was amazing, my hubby and I had a great time together, playing games, eating Chinese food and watching tv. It was so relaxing and I am so blessed to have him in my life. I am so happy I am with him and I don't know what I have ever done to deserve such an amazing human being. I am truly blessed. I know this uptick is from the salt from last night's dinner and I don't expect it to stay for long, I am actually surprised it wasn't more. I ate so much food, i literally hurt myself. Still feeling slightly bloated this morning too. But I did exercise good and drank a little over 1 liter of water. Hopefully I can undo most of this damage by tomorrow but I know it will take a couple of days to see if it really has come off.
01/25 141.2 there we go! Exercised good, stayed under calories and drank 2 liters of water. Tomorrow is my weigh in day for some MFP groups, so hoping today I can push out a little more for an over all impressive weight loss this week, regardless of Wednesday's meal. I hope this weekend isn't too tough on me. Family breakfast and then off to a friend's house for the hockey game... I will stay diligent!

@deepwoodslady VERY INSPIRING, Donna!
@jenn990205 I used to take the scale when I was doing WW and we drove cross country but I haven’t taken it on any of our cruises. I now take me KetoMojo and just track my Ketones. You’ll be fine, just be mindful and track the best you can.
@fraukazi Like you, I smile when I read of @deepwoodslady dancing. I looked in a mirror at myself dancing when I was about 12 and have never danced in public! Now we go to listen to a 60’s band once a week and the majority of people bouncing around look about the same as I did way back then.
@tiabirdie56 Tish, sounds like @noynoyavery could use your Triple Threat water!

I made chicken pot pie (single crust) last night - delish! but too much fat (butter, cream...). So I believe veggie soup is on the schedule tonight or tomorrow night! On the plus side, I've been back to weight training for about 3 weeks now and have increased the weights significantly, so am happy to see that I hadn't lost all previous progress on the strength front. Note to women losing weight - take care of your bones during the process! Talk to your doctor about checking Vit D level and your possible need for D and K and magnesium, and keep up weight-bearing exercise. My last DexaScan (bone density) showed significant bone density loss, probably due to significant weight loss the previous 3 years. We have to take care of our bodies as we reshape them.
01/24 - 139.2 - 1743
Last night I made a big pot of minestrone and had that with bread I baked a couple days ago. So good! Off to the gym and planning to hunker down tomorrow - minus 20 wind chill expected. Aaack! Stay warm if you're also in the way of this!
01/25 - 139.2 - 1802
Yep, it's cold outside! Not as bad as predicted, though, so I'll go to the Y. Did I mention I'm a cold weather wimp after 8 years on the southern coast of NC? ;-) Anyway, I'm back on track food wise, finally, and have channeled my baking urge into whole-grain bread instead of cookies and cakes. Better for us and I'm not tempted between meals!

Daily goals: drink 100oz or more of water; no alcohol; stay around my 1200 calories; dedicated 1hr of exercise 8/10 days; 15k steps; 3k calorie burn via Fitbit
1/23: 198.8 - thank goodness! 🤩 Onederland! This was the woosh I was expecting all last round. Hit all my goals yesterday.
1/24: 198.2 - met, and exceeded, all my goals yesterday. Tried drinking 150oz of water, which is recommended for my weight by a lot of calculators, but had to get up 3x during the night, so I’ll stick with the 100oz still, which allows me to sleep through the night. I made oatmeal chocolate chip walnut cookies with the kids yesterday AM, and have so far resisted having one. Normally I would crave one for breakfast with my coffee, but sweet doesn’t sound *as good* in the AMs after trying to do high protein in the mornings for the last month (this is a great NSV for me!), and I know if I start my day with one, it could all go downhill fast. Also, I tried switching 1 of my coffees for 1-2 black teas over the past week, and I was getting headaches, so I am back to coffee with milk (the only time I ever get headaches, for the last 20 years, has been from lack of caffeine.)
1/25: 196.6 - whoa, totally unexpected, but I’ll take it! Had a stressful day yesterday, and got some very sad news. Hit all my goals, but didn’t eat as nutritiously as I could have.
