Well I've been yo-yoing for the past 7 years after losing 200 lbs on Medifast/Body For Life though I have consistently kept off 120 lbs. I've learned that all diets work, but the one that's for you is the one you can stick with. Hopefully I can keep going finally this time. Yes, it is in fact 80% diet.2

Wow...I also had the stomach flu. I lost 3 pounds but dont how how much will stick around. Today was first day eating again... weird... lots of food still sounds repulsive. I was just about to start keto and now meat and fat turn my stomach....so..... not sure what to do lol.
Tomorrow I can start exercising again....I was on a great streak before the flu but trying not to get too depressed about that 😕
Current goal....get back on the exercise wagon!1 -

So after the flu and losing7 pounds because of it, I was kind of depressed the last 3 days and 3 pounds came back on, but again healthy eating and guess what 1.5 pounds less today from yesterday, We just need to stick to it and results will come.
Actually I've been reflecting on how I was eating and the diet was really before. I was on a diet to get as fat as i could as fast as I could....
Keep it up.0 -
Hi my name is Robin and I struggle each and every day with food. I exercise 6 days a week but can't lose weight because I eat and eat. I have 5 kids and i'm an emotional eater so i'm always eating because at least one of my kids is causing chaos. I hate that i'm so attached to food but i'm really at last in a place where I want to commit at getting a handle on this. I set small easy attainable goals for myself every day and love to see what I've accomplished. I could really use the support and accountability.1

Hi Everyone,
Great group. We all have daily struggles and life happens. This group helps!
I am going to continue last weeks challenge that was focused on drinking water, moving everyday.
I did not give up a food item last week. This week no sugar (no candy, sweets, chocolate, ice cream etc). This will be tough but looking forward to it.
Anyone else doing the challenge??0 -
I'm sorry I haven't been checking in here daily. I come to MFP and then just get distracted by the kids.
Things are going great here.
I've been trying to really adhere to my calorie restrictions better. Not perfectly, but better. Doing that is a real mental game though. I have to remind myself that I was mostly staying in my deficit before, so why am I suddenly feeling like I'm starving now that I'm actually tracking it?? Stupid brain trying to sabotage me! lol
Diet has been going great though.
Think I'm going to give up nightshades for a month starting in Feb. 99% certain I have an intolerance of them and just want to see if giving those up for a month helps my gut. I'm going to miss my hot sauce and spicy foods though3 -
Hi everyone, please pray for me. Tomorrow 2 day work trip, locked in a conference room with catering all day. This is going to be a torture. Any advice?3
-
On second week of 1200 calories and down 2 lbs. I am doing great and just keep drinking green tea to keep hunger at bay. Everythong is going well 8 more lbs until my mini goal.6

Hit a new personal best for my pace on today’s 3 mile run! I’m on day 2 of level 3 if 30 Day Shred. I like level three a lot more than level 2 so hopefully the next 8 days of it go well. Been back on track with my diet for the past couple days so I’m feeling good today.4

I would decide right now what you will eat and what you won't and stick with it. No exceptions. Don't justify anything.1 -
Just checking in! Hope everyone is doing well. I am attending a class tomorrow to make myself a new vision board. I'm still plugging along 😎2

Hi everyone! I'm new here so I'm not sure how to add friends or follow this thread lol smh. Hopefully some notifications will pop up lol. I'm Lani, I'm 32 years young 🙃, mother of six (11,10,7,6,3,1wk), wife of one lol. Looking for motivation and willing to give some as well.5

Hi, are you all still here? I would love to have some support and need to talk to others who feel the same to help with the motivation aspect. I constantly reward myself with treats of takeaway , chocolate etc when I’m tired or have a tough day. Finding it hard to kick start on exercise too. Have to start this journey again right now and this time succeed!

I do wish we all checked in more and did challenges.
We all have tough days...mine was today. Busy day! Didn't get to workout. But drank my water and as hard as it was no candy or sugar or baked goods etc all week.

It’s that time of the month again and the scale is refusing to budge! I’m doing a 3 mile run tomorrow morning. I’m feeling kinda bleh tonight so hopefully I will wake up in a better mood. I’ve been planning out my workouts for next month and I’m so ready to be done with 30 Day Shred and have some variety in my workouts.2
-
Overall I'm doing pretty good with diet and exercise. Was all excited to try keto... for the stomach flu twice and now meat is kind of repulsive lol. So trying to figure out how to eat again. Next 3 weeks will be really busy and stressful so just hoping I can still make room for health!1

I weigh in next Saturday, been eating good this week and I'll know I did not waste January.3

Got my 3 miles in this morning! I always used to feel like I was going to die pushing myself to do 3 miles, now it’s still hard but I definitely feel stronger and less like dying at the end of it! My favorite thing about running though is getting to eat more on run days! 1500 calories feels like so much when normally I’m between 1200-1300.2

Hey all! - Was on MFP religiously over the last couple of years and lost 60 pounds. Ran a lot, did several half-marathons and completed a Road Race series. Got hurt in May (long story) and that sidelined my activity. Fell off the food wagon and put back on 40 of my 60 pounds in less than a year. Back on track and hoping to keep myself motivated and focused!!
AT HW - 216
CurHW - 192
T WT - 185
Goal 150

I remember when three miles was nothing to me lol. One day I will be back to that point. Your my motivation for tomorrow lol. Keep up the good work.3 -

@proudmotherof6
Thanks for the encouragement - Good for you on the 3 miles. Did not run, but brisk walked 2.5 this morning and it felt GREAT to get back out on the trails. My knee is telling me about it this afternoon, but nothing like it was a month or so ago!!

Ok, so here I am on my first negative message. I travelled this week and was very afraid of this. As it turns out I didn't eat like I do in my house, but I was a bit careful with the carbs, kept away from booze and kept away from cake / sweets in the meeting room. On the negative side I did binge a bit on the quantities especially at the dinners.
So Friday I was really tired and played golf but I was really destroyed ( 4 am wake up weds, arriving to my house thurday at 1.30 in the morning after aircraft delay )
And yesterday to finish the week I caved and went out with a group of friends at lunch and binged in my old style. Basically 3000 cals lunch, and sparkling wine and beers and scotch. I didn't have dinner or snacks in the afternoon but I basically came to look as my old me.
The scale is not looking too bad, still holding 14 pounds down instead of 16 but just lacking the motivation.
Also I'm all the week travelling and I guess this demotivates more as I know it's practically impossible to do my home program.
And in 2 weeks there we go. Operation and 0 cal consumption from months.
Feeling down today.
Proud for my mini accomplishments but with the operation etc...feel I interrupt totally my program again.
At I least I managed to do the calorie counting and have increased my steps from 2500 daily to 5500.
Cheers.

Had just an ok week but not terrible. I haven’t been meeting my water goal though so I need to get back on that. Trying to start today off good and have a better week. Any new challenges?2

Lets start a new week today!

Having your routine thrown off is always frustrating. I really thrive with routine and do great while I have it but the moment it's thrown off I really struggle. You just have to do your best. This is a small blimp on your journey. When you are back from traveling you can get back to 100% until then you just do what you can.2
