01/23 - 189 - Still fighting a cold but I am happy to say that I have reigned my cravings & portions back in. I am looking forward making some progress this round!
01/24 -187 - Finally seeing some results! My cravings for sugar are almost all gone at this point. The key is not to indulge because once I do it’s so hard to stop again.
01/25 - 186 - It’s so nice to see things moving in the right direction! I just have to continue drinking my water, watching my portions & avoiding sugar & carbs. I’m hoping to keep my focus through the “weakend”!
01/26 - 187 - Slight gain over yesterday’s weigh in & I’m quickly realizing it may be good to start tracking pounds & ounces as well. I’m not surprised by the gain since I indulged in some salted pistachios right before bed. Today will be better & I won’t be buying anymore pistachios! LOL

Goal this round: To get out of the 160’s or at least consistently not above 160. Right now even ½ lb. per round would seem great. This is the same goal as last round but I made it down .4 so will keep working from there. My short term goal is to be down at least 6 lb. by the end of March. That is just .8/Round but for me would be great progress.
Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June. (Not sure if this is possible for me but even well down in the 150’s would be better than where I am at now.

01/23 – 162.8 – Good day yesterday with no LNS. Maybe a lag on the blip up I was expecting from Sunday.
01/24 – 162.8 – Good day and good workout at the gym. Maybe a drop in a day or so.
01/25 – 161.8 – Here we are back at start finally. Unfortunately had a funeral yesterday (very elderly father of a friend) and the usual food afterwards. Kept it minimal but have no idea of the cals. and am sure it put me over. I guess we’ll see.
01/26 – 162.4 – Got a call during supper, finished later and, of course, ate more and did not track. Not likely too wildly over. So resolve for today is to track all. Such a pain but just have to get over that.

01/23 - 207.2 (2004 steps) I did NOT want to adult on Tuesday. I called off work and just slept. The eating that I did do wasn’t recorded or measured. No exercise. No meal prep. Meh! Hope to pick myself back up and restart for Wednesday.

‪01/24 – 207.7 (3459 steps) I got back on track Wednesday. I went back to work and did a TON of meal prep when I got home. I cooked 4 pork chops, 3 round steaks, a package of large shrimp, and a package of scallops for a total of 11 meals to cover me up and thru the weekend. Today is a NEW day!‬

‪01/25 – 203.6 (5573 steps) 17 minutes on bike (3.81 miles) – Thursday was an awesome day. I wasn’t hungry. I didn’t snack. Work was stressful to the MAX but I did not ease that stress by eating. I actually allowed myself to have a pint of Halo Top ice cream and will ended up wayyyyyyy under my daily MFP calorie goal! (The shrimp/couscous concoction that I had prepped the other night might have turned out to be an epic fail, but I’m new to actually cooking so I’ll keep trying.)‬

01/26 - 203.6 (6200 steps) 30 mins on bike (6.44 miles) Friday is family dinner night and we went to Benny’s Pizza (local favorite). I managed to stay in the green on my calories. Good day. Dog sitting over Saturday night for my cousin. Packed a couple meals and I’m all set.

1/25 - 174.4 - 47g carbs, 38g net carbs. Carbs were: broccoli, cashews, cauliflower, carmelized onion dip, cranberry oatmeal cookie.

1/26 - 175 - 101g carbs, 93g net carbs. Carbs were: Cocoa mix, heavy whipping cream, cocoa powder, seasoned flour on fried chicken, croissant, spaghetti squash. I felt cold all day. I was hungry just before the start of my eating window, but didn't eat until the last hour. Spent the day helping my Niece prepare for my Grand Nephew's birthday party.

Cumulative weight loss for Rounds 54-65 = 36.4 lb.
I started Round 54 and Keto WOE on September 24, 2018. My arthritis hip and shoulder pain have decreased significantly since my second week of Keto. Staying within calorie limits is easy enough, but not exceeding my carb limit is still tricky for me. I check my ketone level with a KetoMojo meter a couple of times a week to make sure my numbers are good. Some of my NSVs: feeling less self-conscious, wedding band fits, smaller clothing, a happy husband, and inspiring said husband to work a little harder on quitting his cigarette habit. The closer I get to my goal, the more excited and motivated I become! Don’t expect me to disappear when I reach maintenance. I like you folks, and I really appreciate and enjoy your company!

Oh well, I had to go to work and a foot doctor appointment this afternoon. I’m less than 10 lb. from my goal, and I will get there. It may not go down tomorrow. It’s cold, and I’m treating myself to a glass of dry red wine. I prefer sweet, but this is pretty good. It’s probably good because I’m not used to sugar anymore. As long as I’m ready for our cruise in April, I’ll be happy. I found out my daughter and her husband are signed up for the same cruise (not planned), and my granddaughter called from Kansas, very excited, to say they’ve decided to take her out of school that week so she can go! We love cruising with and spending time with my granddaughter and took her to Alaska last summer. She has a boyfriend now, so I expect her to start spending less time with me, and over 700 miles between us doesn’t help, either. Please excuse me, but I’m using these daily posts as a journal and keeping copies. Kill two birds with one stone kind of thing?
01/24 141.0 Yesterday’s gain is gone, so I’m glad I didn’t stress over it. I’ve corrected my priorities after someone in the Christian MFP group I belong to asked if we were more diligent about logging in MFP than we were about our Bible study. I found myself guilty, so Bible study is now done with breakfast rather than logging in here first. I played cards with friends today, and I took Thor for a 5 mile walk this afternoon. It was a very pleasant day.
01/25 141.4 Hmm…. it’s up just a little, so I’m still good. Last night, I was pleased to discover I’m already doing better, and more, pushups and sit-ups. I’m getting stronger! I hoped to go to lunch or leave work early today, but lots of folks are ready to complete their tax returns. I ate two boiled eggs and a little slice of cheddar for breakfast and didn’t get another chance to eat until I arrived home this evening. Actually, our break room has lots of candy and other carb-laden snacks, but I know better than to give in. I made it through the day!
01/26 140.4 I slept in this morning, then had a busy day. Thor and I got in a 6.4 mile walk, and my husband and I grocery shopped and had dinner at Denny’s this evening. It was good—the senior tilapia with salad, broccoli, and squash—all keto approved. I still have to get in my sit-ups and pushups before bedtime.

01/23 162.6 Hoping to get back on track today with food and eating. Last month I was on a juice fast for three days during my time of the month, so it was hard to see what the weight fluctuations looked like. I started today so will start tracking that going forward since I already can feel myself retaining water more than usual.
01/24 161.6 Had a great day yesterday, but all day today I have had a splitting headache so was unable to go the gym. I have been drinking a lot of water and did stay in my calorie allowance, so hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow and for this headache to leave.
01/25 161.7 Thankfully, I woke up with no headache so already starting off today on a better note. Planning on 45 minutes at gym on cardio machine and 10,000+ steps.

1/23: 235.0. 2250 calories. Walked for 90 minutes.
1/24: 235.0. 2200 calories. 40 minute workout and 60 minute walk.
1/25: 235.0. 2100 calories. 40 minute workout and 80 minute walk. My weight is really consistent right now. I probably need to drop my calories below 2000 to see a significant downward trend. I'm trying to slowly get back into diet mode. I'm puttting a lot of effort into physical activity, but the diet part is still a struggle.
1/26: 235.5. Probably the result of too much sodium yesterday. 2200 calories today. 90 minutes of walking.

01/23 84.3kg not a great start but this is my 3rd week in Keto and everything I've read says it's normal and just keep going. Couldn't run this morning as it's been raining for 48 hours and everywhere is under water.
01/24 84.2kg and it stopped raining so I ran.
01/25 83.7kg and a short morning run. It's all green for go today!
01/26 83.2kg is working still. Staying green for calories and within my Keto macros. Will do the strength training today
01/27 83.0kg was sick last night so I went to bed at 6pm without dinner. No idea how this will affect future weight loss! But it's officially 3 weeks today that I started and I'm down 5kg (11 lbs) total.

01/23 238.4 eating and exercise were good this morning. Have my couch to 5k W2 D3 run tonight. It’s freezing in London!

01/24 237.6 Finished my run last night at did 3.3 km. It may be running and walking but it makes me feel so good! Ate really well and feel like I have so much more energy! It must actually be quite annoying!

01/25 237.4 didn’t walk as much yesterday so this is expected. Going out for an annual get together with friends today and going to enjoy it and not worry about weight. Life is about balance after all. Happy Friday everyone!

01/26 239.8 went for my run. Then had a fabulous meal and drinks with friends. Am I surprised by how much the scale has gone up? Slightly. Do I regret it? Not for one second. Best food I’ve had in ages and the company was superb. I’m sure a lot of it is water weight and tomorrow will probably reflect that.

Smoothies seem to be helping with this weight loss, some are as thick as a mcdonalds milkshake , so my plan is to find some more combos. Plans for Yoga but HITT plans say today is a rest day, alas I also have dinner out with my mother planned today, and to watch the new Mary Poppins film, I'm treating myself to an at home clay body wrap. I promised myself a pamper treat every 5 lbs I lose and then 10lbs a salon treatment. , 0.9lb to half a stone loss so far.

01/23 - 190.1 - I stayed low carb all day yesterday and I’m on the right track for today so far!
01/24 - 189 - Headed in the right direction. I had a very stressful day and I really wanted to eat the stress away with carbs, but I didn’t. I wasn’t perfect on eating no carbs, but in the past I would have said screw it and gotten something sweet when I was stressed. I’m really trying to clean up my relationship with food, especially carbs.
01/25 - 188.6 - Still headed in the right direction. I woke up feeling dehydrated and swollen. Hopefully I got enough water today. I had a glass of wine after work today, but carbs were low otherwise so maybe I’ll still stay under carbs today.
01/26 - 187.3 - I have been doing really well with my low carb goal. I am hoping to get back to exercising this weekend, so I might go up a little in weight but it’ll be worth it.
01/27 - 186.5 - This is the lowest I’ve been in a couple of months. I’m expecting a slow down in the next couple days because this was all water weight. I’m ok with that though. As long as the trend overall keep going down, I’ll be happy.

22/01: 165.6: Goals Aw, well! I was sitting in meetings all day and into the evening, so I'm very pleased with my end weight. My mean weight is back down to what it was at the beginning of December. My smart scale app informs me that I will reach my goal weight 2 weeks before my birthday in April. Now, that would be a great Birthday present.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.

Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!
