From 5.5 to 6? You can do it. That half mile difference is more about mental fortitude than physical ability. A half mile is within reach with a month's training. I mean there is no guarantee cause everyone is a bit different, but I have confidence you can do it. If focus and stay on target. :)

Definitely all about mental fortitude. Which is a serious struggle for me. But I'm hopeful that I can pull it out by the end of the month!

Seriously, that is a 10% ish increase. A very reasonable goal. You got this! :)

@MegaMooseEsq funny you should say that about strength training and shoes, I always used to do it in socks until I dropped a dumbbell on my little toe. Yeah, that taught me to stick on an old pair of whatever for a little protection. But no, definitely not running shoes, those are just for running. By the time they progress to strength/general use shoes the cushioning has likely died altogether.

@MobyCarp You should see a nice warmup after you get home that's supposed to last through the rest of the week. Not Tallahassee warm, but western NY warm. Enjoy!

I tried to get caught up on this thread and I am sure I missed someone, but congratulations on your races @MobyCarp @marisap2010 (and Happy Birthday) @polskagirl01 @martaindale.
