No. It does absolutely zero for weight loss.
There is no magic pill, wrap, drink, exercise, fill in the blank.
You need to create a calorie deficit. That is the only way to lose weight.34 -
It`s a scam. there is NO magic bullet for losing weight. you must eat at a calorie deficit over time to lose the weight.9

The only thing that does anything for weight loss is eating less calories than you burn each day. Although I'll give the Apple Cider Vinegar people props for coming up with a way to market something that no human being would ever voluntarily drink otherwise. It's not going to help you lose weight though.17

Studies have found that Apple cider vinegar has a modest effect on blood glucose and absorption of carbs, which makes it potentially interesting to diabetics. Although I tested it, and it made no measurable difference for me. It's also tasty in marinades and salad dressings.
It does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for weight loss. And drinking it is extremely nasty.6 -

Lots of people have and do drink it but it doesn't effect their weight loss in any way. Just another internet myth.
Use it in cooking and salad dressings much nicer.

It'll ruin your teeth enamel. I attribute some tooth decay that I developed to eating a particular brand of salt and vinegar crisps that year.
After a few dental visits, I stopped eating the crisps. Then I stopped needing to see the dentist every five minutes.2 -
I drank ACV for weeks at a time while carefully logging on MFP, and didn't drink it for other weeks at a time while still carefully logging on MFP. It made zip-zero-no-nada difference to my weight loss rate. I perceived no difference in hunger or satiation.
I was drinking it for reasons having nothing to do with weight loss, BTW.
Also: Commercial, standardized-acidity vinegar is no more acidic than many other common beverages, even before it's diluted. That doesn't make it harmless to tooth enamel, but it's no more harmful than (just to name a few), several flavors of Vitamin Water, PowerAde, GatorAde, Ocean Spray Cran-whatever juices, V-8 Splash; Dole Pineapple Juice and a bunch of other juices; Rockstar and some other energy drinks; some Nestea and Arizona teas; lots of soda pops; and many other common drinks. Some people sip those other things all day long; relatively few do that with ACV.
ACV at the standard commercial 5% dilution runs around pH 3.3-3.5 (some other vinegars can be lower, i.e., more acidic), as I understand it. (Diluting it with water raises the pH, making it less acidic, since water is higher pH).
This "destroying tooth enamel" thing comes up every time someone brings up ACV. There are lots of unscientific claims about ACV, but countering with the "tooth enamel" thing isn't a super-duper counterargument IMO, taken in context of other common beverages. Same for esophageal damage, harm to stomach, etc.
Clearly, limiting all corrosive drinks is a good plan (according to the ADA), but ACV isn't likely a special scary case.

But you'd have to promise the moon on a stick before I drank it without a straw. I love vinegar and I've had to be sparing with it on chips ever since.1 -
It helps you feel less bloated but doesn't make you loose weight4

Ugh, drinking acv sounds awful to me. On the other hand, I made pulled pork in my crock pot for dinner tonight that included acv as one of its ingredients, and it was delicious.
The only way to potentially speed up weight loss is to create a larger calorie deficit. That being said, most recommend losing no more than 1% of your body weight per week. Slow and steady wins the race.2 -

I can't tell you about anyone else but for me (someone who religiously drinks a a tsp of ACV everyday before I eat) it a hundred percent helped in reducing my belly fat. October 22nd I was 286 now I'm 238 and I'm not saying that ACV is the entire reason I was able to drop weight so fast (I intermediate fast and workout at least 6 times a week) but I would say it has a huge impact on my weight loss.
Please watch this video, it was the sole reason for me to add it to my daily routine.

If you wanted to prove it actually worked, eat at maintenance or even a surplus for a month and keep the apple cider, and see if you still lose weight.
Odds are you won't, because it doesn't affect weight loss. No matter how many youtube gurus say so.19 -
It makes a nice dressing for a beet slaw that fills me up for relatively few calories. (Seriously. Pulse a jalapeno in the food processor. Switch to the grater blade. Process approx 6-8 beets with a peeled and cored Granny Smith apple. Put it all in a Ziploc with 1/3 cup sugar and 1/4 cup ACV. Seal the bag, shake it all up, and chill.)4

Because I have drunk ACV (for reasons unrelated to weight loss, and mostly speculative at that), and have seen zero weight loss benefits from doing so, I decided to take one for the team and watch the video.
That's 12 minutes of my life I'll never get back: What a dense pile-up of science-y sounding words, making claims that are not supported by mainstream science! And I wasn't disappointed, he did find a way to sneak in that his ACV drink concoction is really best and handiest if you buy his ginger extract to put in it.
Nope, nope, nope, nope-ity nope.

Cooked beets, or raw beets? (I know they're usually eaten cooked, but I've had quite a nice raw beet "carpaccio", so I wasn't sure - I could imagine a raw salad.)0 -

Oh man. Ok OP, here's the jist of it:
Drink Shakes instead of meals, Take that one weight loss pill, Avoid these five foods, Don't eat sugar, You have to drink apple cider vinegar for breakfast every second Tuesday each month, Do at least 400 minutes of cardio every week, Absolutely no sweets, Eat fewer calories than your body uses, Don't drink soda of any kind, You can't eat after 7pm, You have to water fast two days per week, Intermittent fasting is the only way, Don't eat carbs, Your calories absolutely must be 1000 or less per day, What you really need is gastric bypass, and always drink green tea at breakfast.
And that's what I know for absolute certain.

I couldn’t get into it. Every time I tried it I ended up puking after. I just couldn’t swallow it but I heard it doesn’t let a noticeable difference.1

I don't use apple cidar vinegar for weight loss but I use it because it's a great detox ☺ I put a teaspoon of ACV in a cup of water and drink it daily. It's really healthy for your body. Though do not drink ACV by itself.. since it's so acidic it can damage your esophagus and tooth enamel, have to dilute it in water.39

What is it you think you need to 'detox'?
Cleans out toxins in the liver/kidneys and regulates blood sugar levels. Also helps with UTI's.38 -
Which toxins? Because your liver and kidneys do that on their own; if they didn't you'd be on dialysis or dead.10
