Here are my weekly weigh in stats:
    SW for this challenge: 208.4
    CW: 203.8
    GW for this challenge: 199

It was a tough one! I did all things that were right but only lost 0.2 pounds this week. However, my period is starting tomorrow so I know that’s the reason why 😊

    We’re almost there!!

    SW for this challenge: 208.4
    CW: 203.0
    GW for this challenge: 199

I lost 0.8 pounds this week without working out and just by calorie counting! I take a break after I finish a workout plan to relax my muscles and it definitely has been helping me mentally this week. Back to the grind on Monday with a new workout plan and we'll see if I can lose those 4 pounds during these next couple of weeks! If I don't, it's okay because I still dropped weight from this challenge. Slow and steady!

Back on a new workout plan and omg I got sick yesterday! I feel crappy so let’s see what happens with my workouts this weekend. Next week is Valentine’s Day so we’re right around the corner to the end of this challenge. Here are my stats:

    SW for this challenge: 208.4
    CW: 201.6
    GW for this challenge: 199

I have 2.6 pounds to go which I’m not sure I’ll make by next week. I still lost a good amount!

    Challenge starting weight: 173
    Goal for Vday: 163
    Today’s weight: 161.6

I just suddenly dropped a bunch of water weight over the last couple of days. It was fun to see the drastic change on the scale. I was eating within my calorie range and getting my exercise in so I knew the stubborn scale was nothing to worry about, but it’s always nice to actually be vindicated on that.

I did not reach my weight goal! My goal weight for Valentine's Day was 219 lbs. I hope everyone met their goals for today. Have an awesome day and no regrets with goals it is OK.

    SW 11/12/18 179.4 lbs
    1/5/18 169.4 lbs
    1/18/19 166.8 lbs
    2/2/19 166.2 lbs
GW for Valentine's Day: 164 lbs

    Drumroll...

    Final Weight 2/14/19: 165 lbs

Soooo close!! But hey, that's great progress. Slow weight loss = greater chance of it being permanent. Plus I had a few social evenings these last few weeks that were totally worth it. 😜

If you are still posting .... no matter what the pound-difference between SW and today .... you WIN! You have been paying attention to your health ... maybe experienced some Lessons Learned about the calorie cost vs "is it worth it" of some of your old stand-bys.

Just Keep On Keeping On with what has been working.

I’m with @BMcC9 on this! Congratulations to all who lost any, even if not what was aimed for. And we’re all doing great even to be just paying attention, even if the scale isn’t currently trending downward. It’s when we turn a blind eye to what’s going on that things can really start going the wrong way.

I'm totally confused as to why my weight is down today...normally it's just up up up until my period starts, so I don't know why it's down and I'm not due to start until tomorrow...some random water loss happening early???

In any case, I was down before the weekend and was very active over the weekend and didn't eat much, so I'm going to not fret about the ups and downs of PMS week. It is kind of odd to start and end at the same weight, but I'm cool with it. It's a different point in my cycle, even if it's the same weight. On the plus side, I have actually weighed myself more during this challenge than usual, so I'm going to try to keep that trend, it seems to help with the motivation a bit!

Agree @LadySaton and @BMcC9, being aware is just as important as losing. It makes us figure out where we went wrong and how to change it. Awesome job to everyone who participated whether you gained or lost. I am looking forward to the next challenge, this was great motivation after starting back.

Marchihg through March to May https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10726702/marching-through-march-to-may#latest might be a home for anyone who wants to keep going in a similar setup.

Or we could start a new Mini-Challenge thread here on the General Health, Fitness and Diet board for "Lose 9 pounds by Easter" (Good Friday is exactly 9 weeks and 1 day away .... This year, Easter is about as late as it gets)

I did some searching and these seem to be the best / closest-to-this-format options.

Just wondering, everyone .... when was the last time you re-set your MFP "assisted calorie goal" setup?

If it was more than 10 pounds ago and you are still eating at the old level, you may be honestly eating what you THINK you should be, but actually more than your BMR needs (what would keep you at your current weight if you were in a coma). When I hit my Normal BMI zone, I did a recalc, and my recommended intake dropped a bit. It has been steadily decreasing whenever I recalc'ed ever since I started last May (more than 20 pounds ago).

This can be an often over-looked hidden cause for "plateaus". Once a person resets, and starts eating the CORRECTED number of calories for their current BMR, the plateau breaks.

A friend on my wall read this and replied "REALLY?!?! "Cause I've been stuck in a plateau for months, and haven't reset my goal since I started 30 pounds ago!"

By the way, MFP will NEVER give women less than 1200 calories per day as a recommended level, and warn you if you have not eaten enough. I wouldn't know, but I believe the recommended lowest threshold for men is ~1500.

And remember, as your weight drops, you should be stepping down the expected "lose X per week" level as well.

There is information on sticky-posts at the top of the Getting Started message board with details about realistic expectations and how to determine the rate of loss you should choose depending on how close you are to final goal.

    BMcC9 reporting in ....
Personal goal for Valentines Day => break out of 140's
    OR
141 is "inside Normal BMI range for me .... so if I don't break all the way through to 139.X by Valentines, I want to get into 140.X with additional measurable NSV advance.

This is still great progress for a 60 yr old !

    SW this challenge: 144.6
    Dec 21: 143.3 (-1.3 so far)
    Dec 28: 144.4 (- 0.2 from SW .... with 4 big meals over the past 14 days, I consider this a maintain-so-far)
Jan 04: 143.7 (- 0.9 from SW .... weighed in ~ 4 hours earlier than last week so even better than number indicated
Jan 11: 144.2 (-0.4 from SW .... weighed in an hour earlier than last week, for the whole past week ...)
Jan 18: 142.6 (-2.0 from SW .... settled back into early weigh-in for two weeks now, and have increase my daily exercise burn for ~10 days now)
    Jan 25: 143.0 (-1-6 from SW)
Feb 1 : 142.0 (- 2.6 from SW BUT ALSO measurably down 1 inch off waist and 1/2 " off hips / body fat % calculation lower ..... so SOMETHING is progressing as it should!)
Feb 8: 140.9 B)B) (- 3.7 from SW .... seems my muscles are finally 'OK with" increased workload from daily HIIT sessions)
    Feb 14: 139.8
(- 4.8 from SW! I almost can't believe it .... but it HAPPENED!!)

Well my goal was 126.6 by Valentine’s Day... I got down to 121, but then gained back and ended at 125.2. I know my problem... travel. It’s harder to plan, to eat what you know (instead of what’s there), to eat when and how much you want (instead of what everyone else is doing), harder to get to the gym (when you love Zumba instead of regular machines and when other people create your schedule instead of your own), and harder to track... but it’s a new day today and I’m grateful for the 1.2 lbs I lost. I need to simply redouble my focus and commitment and get back on track. Slowly but surely I can do this... my ultimate goal is 117. I’d love to get there as soon as possible but if it takes me awhile, I’ll be ok as long as I keep trying and trending overall in the right direction. More travel this week (ugh!). Wish me luck!
