@eatingfoodles, Welcome back! There was no need for you to hide. I've been "trapped" in the 170's since September. I keep plugging along though, deciphering the causes along the way. In my case, there have been a few reasons. I feel like this fat loss journey doesn't mean much if I don't continue to learn some things about myself. Scratch a little deeper than the surface causes of being "trapped" at your current weight. You'll discover it and then you can move on toward your goal.❤

    @eatingfoodles
I want to offer a different perspective 😉
You lost 13.4 pounds in 3 months (91 days)
That’s just shy of 4.5 lbs a month, which is a lot AND a very sane way to lose weight & retain more muscle!

“Not giving up” That’s the whole battle! And you did that!’

Perhaps set a goal to weigh 164 by March 20 & be THRILLED when you do❣️

And remember, you can extend this challenge past March 20.

Small weight goals with easy deadlines work.

    I don’t consider it stuck :)
I consider it practice at Keepin in keepin I’m even without a big drop ie Maintenance Practice. This truly is not a race. It’s forever.

Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, and Mar- maybe even Apr.

I figure it’ll be 8-9 months to have no weigh ins in the 150’s. I think I would have been there by 1/1/19 with out the arm/shoulder surgery/rehab, but I’m just gonna keep plodding along.

My inches are coming down noticeably, and I’ve got more strength. Slow is good.

@MadisonMolly2017, 💖 No. I don't consider myself stuck. There have been genuine reasons for my weight not dropping to the 160's, all solvable and solved. Stress, psychological obstacles, electrolyte imbalance, unusual cravings that were/are occurring from my vitamin needs. I have toured every pound of this decade several times since September, lol. I am also not on a plateau. This was a comfortable weight for me once in my life, but I was very fit and muscular then. I think my body likes being here. I lost 80lbs in one year! I never expected that. Losing the last 40 lbs will take some fine tuning. I'm very patient.

No apologies necessary. I only put trapped in quotes for @eatingfoodles, since she said she was trapped. To remind her that being in a weight range for an extended period of time is caused by something specific, just gotta track it down.

Thank you Donna, @deepwoodslady. In my daily free moments, I have been focused on finding the cause of wanting to eat what I don't want and shouldn't eat. I haven't even taken much time to read or post much to the challenges. And I came to post that I haven't done much self care besides that. It is important though. So today I'll give myself a much needed facial. 😀 Also repot a houseplant that is looking pitiful.

Tish @tiabirdie56 They say that you cannot pour from an empty pot & that you must first take care of yourself. I hope you enjoyed that facial. I also hope you can study your prior notes & figure out the things that may be standing in the way of your next short-term goal. I think the vitamins you started again will help tremendously. However, sometimes it is an emotional issue & I think that is what I am going through myself. The next thing (after caring for yourself) is to pay that gratefulness for life & health forward. I've read many times that you have done that with your son & grandchildren & even a friend. Yesterday you were passing it forward to your plant. It is wonderful that you always find a way to give back to something, someone or a cause. In the grand scheme of things you are right on track and doing everything right. Your answers will come because you deserve them to. I love watching your journey. Look how far you've come!

My name is Jenn I have 5 kids (1st one just left for college this year and another one that will be leaving next year). I am 39 and married to an amazing man. I work full time and have very little time to work out. Hopefully once the younger kids 10 and 13 get a little older, I will have more time. Right now I focus on eating right and maybe two to three times a week getting 45 minutes or so of cardio.

    Beginning Weight ~ 175-178
    Challenge Starting Weight ~ 155.3
    Challenge Goal Weight ~ 135
My weigh in days will be Friday (these are usually my lowest weights, lol)

    November 20, 2018 ~ 155.3
    11/23 ~ 157.8 day after Thanksgiving uugggh
    11/30 ~ 153.8 that looks better
December 7 ~ 152.3 I thought this week I would have been lower. Did really well. Not a drop of alcohol, clean eating, lots of water, and everything. I just don't think my body can lose 2 pounds a week no matter what. I am getting closer to my goal weight, so maybe that's why to. I am proud that I stuck to my plan this week and am down 1.5 pounds, so I'll take it!
12/14 ~ 151.1 Going in the right direction for sure. Hopefully we can keep this pattern going!
12/21 152.8 And I am back up again, lol. I'm holding on for dear life for December. I am still down 1 pound this month and that maybe all I get.
12/28 ~152.3 Going back down. Had a lot to lose after Christmas though. One more holiday weekend and we are back on track. Happy New Year everyone!
January 4, 2019 ~ 153.3 Holidays are over and my time off from work is done. So at least I maintained within a couple of pounds, but it is now time to get in the 140's. I have 5 weeks till vacation and that same weekend my second oldest turns 18. So my goal is 145!
1/11 ~ 150.9 Been here for 3 days. Was hoping it would finally drop lower for today's weigh-in, but maybe next week I can post a better one.
1/18 ~ 148.9 and I am officially in the 140's. Almost 4 pounds away from my first goal of 145. I have just over 3 weeks to get there before vacation. It is completely doable, but I usually lose a pound or less a week, so we will see. Happy where I am today and that is a win in my books.
1/25 ~ 149.4 started our Vaca last night. Had a couple of drinks and started packing. We will see how The Weekend goes. It’s a short Vaca so shouldn’t do to much damage.
February 1 ~ 147.6 Super stoked about this. Even with my vacation last week. 1 more week before Vegas, don't think I am going to see 145, but I will hopefully be close!
2/8 ~ 149.8 and I'm back up a bit. Had Chinese food last night. I am sure it's the sodium plus I just haven't been trying that hard lately. I am leaving tomorrow on vacation for a week, so I will get back into it after I get home!
2/15 Vacation ~ So want to be well established in the 140's decade and be below 145!
2/22 ~ 151.2 I had 14 days of not counting calories and I am paying for it now. Lol, had an amazing time though and have no regrets. Hopefully by the end of March I reach my goal of 145!
March 1 ~ 154.0 TOM came around of course, just as I was getting back on track. Water weight hopefully will be gone by next weeks weigh in

    My name is Tish
    Challenge Starting Weight ~ 177.2
Challenge Goal Weight ~167 - 1/2 pound per week
November 20, 2018 ~ 177.2 - 42 lbs left to reach my ultimate goal. It was 40 lbs on Nov. 9th when 175 appeared, then was rudely replaced by 177. Lol. This number loves me.
11/27 ~ 178.8 - Been doing everything I should not the last 5 days; eating late in the day (8pm) eating bread, no electrolytes. One last croissant beckoning me today😊 and hopefully
    it's over.
11/30 - 178.2 - Lol. Looks like I lost weight. Not. I prefer Wednesday's weight, 174.8😅 but obviously not that much since I ate pretzels last night. Keto carb havoc!
    December 4 - 😒 178.8 - That's rough , but better than yesterday. I think I should post daily weights for December.
12/11 - 176.6 - Forgot it was weigh in day. By no means was this a linear loss. I was December 4 weight again yesterday!
12/14 - 175.4 - Gotta post my own good report. I almost don't believe it. I was this weight once or twice during my traverse up and down the 170's since September! Praying it continues downward. I'm more than ready to be OUT of this decade! Doing EVERY THING RIGHT.
    12/18 - 176.2 - My mac and cheese😁
12/25 - 174.8 - Eating carbs, up and down a smaller range of weights this past week.
    12/31 - 175.8
    January 1, 2019 - 178 😦
1/3 - 175.8 - Knee is behaving somewhat better and I exercised for the first time in a week yesterday. Found a few different rehab exercises online for knee and shoulders. I will include them in my strength and stretch workouts.
1/4 - 177.6 - Weight is up from late day start for everything, exercise, eating, bedtime. Not feeling my best yesterday or today for that matter. Got a nice workout in yesterday, not up to my standards, lol, but my standards are going to have to be altered until I can gain my muscle strength back.
    1/8 - 174.4
    1/15 - 173.2
    1/22 - 174.2
    1/29 - 176
    February 1 - 172.8
    2/3 - 174.8
    2/4 176.4
*I'm going to do my best to get below 170 by the end of this challenge. The cold weather is making me want to eat more though.😣 At 169lbs, I'll be 34 lbs from my ultimate goal. At 158lbs, I will be at the threshold of a normal BMI.

    February 5 - 176
    2/12 - 176
    2/13 - 174.6
    2/14 - 174.2
    2/15 - 173.8

2/19 - 175 - Higher carb count yesterday. I ate 2ozs of cashews, which is a lot. I think maybe, I can't eat cashews. I don't digest them well. Out all day and had a late dinner. My one year marker for keto was today and my gift was...

    Challenge Starting Weight ~ 178.6
    Challenge Goal Weight ~ 163.6

    November 20, 2018 ~ 178.6
11/27 – 180.4 And a Happy Thanksgiving it was. But not such a healthy one. I celebrated all week and held or attended more than one dinner. Now, it’s back to the business of a newer and better version of me!

December 4 178.6 Exactly back to where I started which is a good thing. Now, to get this ball rolling!
12/11 180.4 Disappointed in my weight. Weighed very early due to long trip to University Hospital I am going to today. I will be gone 2 days. More restaurants and long car drives. I’m going to do my very best.
12/18 180.4 No change which I suppose is good during this month of festivities, out of town trips and food temptations. Lets remember to enjoy and appreciate the season, not just work, work, work. I am going to try to keep eating clean (at least while I am at home), get in my cardio and keep my Hallmark channel going 24/7.
    12/25 183.2
    January 1, 2019 185.5 Ground Zero.
01/08 183.3 Going back down about the same way I went up during December. Redemption. Thank you Lord.
01/15 186.2 Lots of personal problems and business problems this week has derailed me. Trying hard to get on track. Food plan is hard to stick to during all this, but I have been trying to keep up the Cardio and the walking and limit my snacking. Carbs & calories over the top too many times this week.
01/22 187.1 Was trying to do better but stress eating got me. Emergencies (tree on roof), loss of business, insurance inspections throughout ugg. Incorporated aerobic dancing into my routine and it helped, but a quick gain on the end was inevitable. Next week should be better.
01/29 184.8 Yay…. I’m in the red & losing again. I’ve been dancing my butt off when able & it’s really paying off. It also helps me get my steps in. I’m in the groove right now & hope I can stay there. I’m always strong until I’m hungry, so I’ve got to stay prepared! I’m still way higher than my starting weight during this challenge (6.2 lbs up still). I’ve got a long way to go just to break even, but I’m trying!
February 5 186.7 Up, Up and Away it went again. However, the past couple of days have been very on point so it’s coming back down slowly. Trying hard to beat those pesky carb monsters! It’s going to get better, and I hope this month is the re-start of all great things!
02/12 …..185.4….. Woo Hoo. So Happy to be Typing in Red Again!!! This week will be tough. I will have two Food Festivities on Valentine’s Day that will be just way too tempting. I hope to offset it before the Feb 19th weigh-in. On the 20th & 21st I will be away from home in travels (restaurants & sitting ugg) unless weather forces cancellations. So next two weeks hold more temptation than I would like. I will just have to do my best & roll with the punches
02/19 …..188.2….. Oops. Ballooned up again this week after Valentine’s Day but working it back down already. Any carb filled day can find me 3-7 pounds heavier the next day (which I know is mainly water) & that is disappointing. Lowering calories when possible & increasing exercise as my work schedule allows to get back in the groove.
02/26…..188.0….. I’ve done great these past few days. Not much showing on the scale yet, but I’m feeling really good about how my days are going. Think Spring!
March 5….. …..188.9….. Very disappointed in myself. But I never give up. ^^^^^^^^^ I….will…..win….this….battle!

@deepwoodslady, Donna, do this fat fast with me. It's really pulling the water off. I'm down another 1.4lbs, 173 today. I think it could have been more, but I was very tired this morning. Didn't sleep well.

Tomorrow (Thur is Pool Potluck night (which I missed last week in travel). I can start Friday for sure. Is it basically the same as the egg fast? I have done the EF but never looked up the FF.
