I'm late to the party this month. I have been tracking just not posting.
NSV: I fit into my size 12 pants (goodbye size 14!).
I have been making slow progress and I'm taking it in strides. While I did not meet my goal by my niece's quincenera, we all still had a bunch of fun. I was happy with my dress and getting all dolled up was a nice change.
Now, onto my wedding at the courthouse next month. Yikes!

Super late to this, but excited to have some much-needed accountability and support! I used to be better about healthy eating and exercising, and have really gotten off track in the last couple of months (and am feeling it in my body and especially in my migraines).

☔Updating every day through April.
•Monday Updates•📌
📌April 1 - 177 - Ate something I shouldn't have and now have inflammation in joints😩4/2 - 174.64/11 - 176.2 - Yesterday was my last day for eating peanut butter. I'm going to see if that is the last thing to eliminate to break away from my "stabilized" weight.
4/3 - 175.4⬅ abs workout yesterday, glutes today, so who knows what tmrw will bring
4/4 - 174 - I worked out with my Niece yesterday. She doesn't look forward to glute workouts, but I do! Lol. We got through it. Need to stretch and walk out the soreness today.
4/5- 176.8 - Probably 175.8 I drank 16ozs of water just before weighing. Still holding fluid from butt and leg workout. Muscles are still on a low hum😃 My knee told me, unh-unh yesterday, so no walk. It was feeling unstable. Stretching and balance exercises accomplished.
4/6 - 175.8
4/7 - 177.4 - Not surprised. I was not hungry for my first meal until the 19 hour mark (2pm) I don't fast on Saturdays. I did an arm and shoulder workout at 10:30pm and felt hungry afterwards. So I ate again at 12am!
📌4/8 - 178 - Everything I ate contributed to my carb count. I broke my fast at 2:30pm and "dinner" was 2 brownies, which took me from 29g to 85g. Why did I eat them? Just not in the mood for more savory flavors. I certainly wasn't hungry.
4/9 - 178.2
4/10 - 176.8 - up and down. Down please.
4/12 - 178.2 - This is from eating at midnight. Not overeating or late night snacking. I just wasn't hungry enough to eat the rest of my food until then. This is the 3rd time in a two a week period, that I have not been hungry until very late in the day. I don't know what that's about, but I don't like it.

April 02 - Tuesday - 174.1
April 03 - 173.0
April 04 - 171.6 - I was 170.9 on March 30th I have been dropping my calories from 1200 to 1100 so far this month, I am not satisfied with working so diligently to lose only a pound a month. There was bonus skating yesterday which seems to remove all of my excess water (and stress) and burns lots of calories, so a 1.4 loss in a day is likely due to that.
April 05 - 170.9
April 06 - 170.0 !!
April 07 - 171.6 - Expected, very small deficit yesterday
April 08 - 171.1 - Monday. Okay with that. Tuesday mornings is 4am for me, and my weight is always up because it is too darned early. I may still weigh tomorrow morning, but won't be upset if it is high.
April 10 - 171.6 - Wednesday. I had a tough time getting in enough calories yesterday, I am on soft food for 3 weeks until I get a crown on my tooth. This is going to really change up what I eat, crunchy foods are out.
April 11 - 169.3!!!! I am not getting too excited. Skating yesterday : - ) I am working out of town today and they have skating there today too : - )
April 12 - 168.6 - All of that calorie deficit in February and March might finally be showing up, plateau gave way. 2 skates only coming up in the next 2 weeks, all of the other towns are now closed for the season (coulndn't skate yesterday). Guess I am trading in my blades for squatting, bending, pushing, lunging, and pulling in the garden. I do dance aerobics and Zumba daily from Youtube, but really don't get the same effect as skating, nor can I sustain it for as much time. I hope to stay in the 160s for a few months and not get back up into the 170s which lasted for almost 4 months. 2 full months of upping my water intake, have to try to keep that up.

I skipped two days of workout and gym last week. No weight loss or gain. I am ok with that. I have stuck to my diet. I do three short workouts at home daily and visit the gym 3-4 times a week. I have one rest day per week. I hope to see a drop in weight for next weigh in of 1-2 lbs.

I don’t even understand my weigh ins right now. Right now the weight is dropping really fast and then some week soon I’ll do everything right and gain a pound. I actually overate my goal a couple times this week (significantly yesterday 😱) so didn’t expect much but I’ll take it.7 -

I was awful sick this last week with a cold and sinus infection. I barely worked out and ate some stuff I shouldn’t have but I needed the rest and comfort so I’m totally ok with it.
Got back to the gym yesterday. It will be a big push for the rest of the month to get close to my goal.
I’m not super worried, while I have some summer vanity goals, I also understand that I’m getting to a point where I’m gaining muscle almost as fast as I’m dropping fat so the scale isn’t the best measurement tool.
My size 12 are getting baggy though!8 -

Celebrated our 20th anniversary with a trip to Big Cedar for four days (Wednesday-Saturday). I knew I’d be up, and yesterday read 164.2, so I’m glad to not see that number this morning!
Had more carbs than usual and had some beers (Mich Ultra). Had four the first night, which made me not feel great the next day, so kept it 2 or under the next two nights and felt a lot better. I ate well and tracked everything, around 500-800 more calories a day than usual and did have a bit of dessert two nights. We were very active with hiking 5 miles a day (it’s the Ozarks, so big steep hills), horseback riding, paddle boats, mini golf and bowling. Step count between 15 and 20k a day.
Back at it now. Sunday I cut calories and no carbs other than from veggies and and one serving of fruit. 135 oz water. Hopefully I’m headed back down rather than up. 🤞🏻

Total loss for April: Scale says I gained two pounds and that puts me in the middle of my maintenance range. My ten day average is up 0.2 pounds and is a half pound over my goal weight. While my average weight has been pretty stable, I am seeing three pound swings up and down. I don't want to gain it back!
I am not surprised at all with today's uptick. I got to the gym yesterday for the first time in a while, so I expect muscle recovery to add some weight. Then I treated myself to a huge slice of pizza with caramelized onions, bacon, and roasted potato. That probably would have fit, but they made it wrong (roasted red pepper instead of potato). They boxed that one up, and I put it in my bike bag and brought it home to save for lunch. Of course it never made it into the fridge.... Then I got up about 3:00 terribly thirsty from all the salt in the pizza and I guzzled two pints of water. Yep. I pounded two pounds of water a couple hours before I get up and weigh. So we'll see how I weigh in tomorrow and Wednesday.
I am still participating in this monthly weight loss challenge even though I'm in my goal range. I'm also participating in a maintenance challenge.

Last week's successes: Made reasonable food choices when eating out (kept within 150 calories of my daily allowance).
Last week's challenges: On the road a lot, so less opportunity to walk or be active. Limited menu items when travelling.
Last week's goal: Add more terrain to my walks. I only managed to work in 2 walks this week, but I added in extra stairs at home a couple of days, did part of a walk on the sand instead of the boardwalk (felt that one!), and took a more challenging trail at the park the other day.
This week’s goal: Get back on track with regular walking, water, and veggies!
Although the scale shows good progress, my body is less happy after a few days of dietary disruption. I’ve been tracking for 6 weeks. The first month was mostly focused on figuring out portion control and calories. I’m just starting to pay more attention to how food and activity choices affect how I feel. Another baby step toward lifestyle change 😊
Today’s challenge: Misplaced my Fitbit charger with only 18 % charge left ☹
