@snowflake1968 the job opportunity sounds interesting. Think you’re right to find out more rather than reject it out of hand. If it’s right then hopefully the transport situation can be sorted. Good luck with working the polling day- I imagine it will be exhausting! Well done for planning food ahead of time. X[/quote]
I second Faebert's message about checking out the job possibility. Hopefully, transportation can be worked out. I've done the polling day, bringing in food for the day. It was a long day, but fun--in slow times, we got a chance to talk with the other workers and it was nice to see neighbors that I don't see on a regular basis. Being with other residents of my community, I learned a lot about what was going on in our township. And, I commend you for responding to our group's posts--it does mean a lot, to learn that others are reading and responding to our daily challenges.

Every day you have to add another set. I try to complete them first thing in the morning. That way I know I will get them done. I do a set when brushing my teeth and continue while I’m doing my morning face routine etc. lol I know it sounds silly but it really helps.
Thankful everyone is home and doing well.
I am the same...I don't do squats while brushing teeth, although I did think about it last night. But I do them while I wait for my water to boil, or toast to brown, etc! I just have to get a hundred in each day...not sure I could do more than that!!! Keep it up...you are going to have some strong legs!!!
Oh my God. I am SO stupid!!
Ive downloaded these apps in the past and thought i had to do 100 IN ONE GO!
I always deleted the app because i thought sod that!!! As if i could do that!!!

So Matt still isn't feeling any better. I have a call into the doctor again. I feel like I'm talking to them like 3 times a day. It's crazy. This is the fourth day he has called out. I'm about ready to go into the office on my hands and knees and beg for something to make him feel better. It's killing me seeing him like this. I HATE this. At this point I don't even care about answers. I just want something that relieves the constant sick feeling he has. I'm about ready to lose my mind.9

JFT community has so much going on. It's such a positive supportive space. With so much going on in our lives, having a small space to say Just For Today I am going to take steps to be healthy and in control - is powerful.5

2. Get 15,000 steps in

Just for today I will eat my evening meal then stop. I will not be tempted by a little bit of cheese, or even one teeny weeny sugar free sweet. My goal is to be at target on 1st June. I can do it if I have determination, persistence and patience, and I will just do it. 🌞3

Checking in from yesterday--just have a few minutes right now, but taking advantage to write you awesome ladies! Thank you for being here. Seriously, I am so glad I found you all. This is the best thing that's ever happened to me, finding this forum.

4. Be mindful of what your body is telling you about food, fullness, movement, emotions, pain - i am working on this one, but going in the right direction i think
5. Make and complete a daily to do list at work - i think i will modify this one also; it should be make a weekly prioritized to do list and make progress toward completion daily - i did that already!
6. File a tax extension because filing is just not going to happen today - done!
7. Pick up stuff on my way home that my hubby asked for (I have a list) - done!

what's the squat challenge?0 -
the sweetest furbabies ever! this is a pic from 2016, but i just love it. i need to take more pictures of them...2 -
@aubyshortcake, I can imagine the worry about your babies. I've gone through that, and it is so scary to think they are out there somewhere. Just know that if they can, they will find their way back to you. You keep your chin up as well, it will be okay. I really do hope you find those babies because that would be so awful to lose them. Is Rukia one of your dogs? I assume that is true. I have to give one of mine pills every morning and night also--the tan dog in the pic I shared, she has epilepsy. Best to you!!1

Have you tried any of the medical cannabis? Its legal over there right? Or do you need a medical card?
CBD (the non psychoactive part) is legal in the UK now and my partner uses it for anxiety but it has hundreds more uses.
But anti-nausea is one of them.
I hate to see you in despair!
Big hugs, you hang in there!2 -
Hi Everyone... I hope it's okay for me to share some pictures with you. I have a lot of nieces/nephews, and
Great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. 😁

Hey everyone,
Depression got its filthy claws right into me again (this has been creeping up for weeks now) and today and i had to go to the GP.
But shes told me the tablets arent going to cure my depression, i need to strive for routine and live by it. I need to get OUT the house.
I need space to myself (but limited time) so i dont get lonely but also smothered.
I need to get off the pad (an hour a day im allowed to be on it) and throw myself into social situations.
I told her that this board was a great support! So i hope you dont mind if I lean on you all a little here xxx
Know im thinking of all of you! But sorry i cant respond to you all!

Honestly, when I saw the "girl in the polka dot dress" my first thought was, "She is so pretty! And has joy on her face!" Thank you for sharing, Mary. You have a fine looking family!

Agreed. Your daughter is beautiful @maryrobinson40 x2 -
So about six days ago I started intermittent fasting. Yesterday was rough, but I powered through and was able to finish the day out successfully. Today not so much, although even with eating about 350 calories more than normal, I will still be well under my recommended goal! Also, I did what I set out to do yesterday: I walked for an hour at a brisk pace! Today I wanted to walk for at least an hour at a leisurely pace, because my thighs were sore...My daughter (whose 6) and I did an hour and ten minutes of good, easy-paced walking.
Then I sat in the sun for ten minutes and got sunburned.6 -
I was really sick last week and over the weekend. Went back to work yesterday, but decided to take things easy. Time to get back in the swing of things today!
Tuesday:
1. weigh in
2. 10,000 steps
3. walk on at least one work break
4. go to gym--cardio/weight workout
5. no social eating at work
6. register for tango glass
7. get swim pass after work
8. drink 8+ C liquids
9. try to get to sleep early3 -
Tuesday April 16
Log accurately
Stay in the green
5 fruit and veg
Fitbit excercise goals
January challenge
February challenge
March challenge
April challenge I very busy at the moment and I think I've made the right choices about what to prioritise. That meant an early start today and a late finish but I feel better for being closer to meeting the demands of work. It's not for long so it's sustainable.
Sorry that I only have time to skim read and not give many responses, sending hugs to those who are struggling with their own physical and mental health or are worried about their loved ones.3 -
So I'm over at D's house tonight hanging out/watching over her son Al who has Downs Syndrome. He really is a great guy. He's 22 already! I've known him since he was 5. It's amazing how fast time goes by. He was my dinner date. We went to Roy Rogers and got food and he spent the first hour I was here telling me all about the movie Chucky. It was hysterical. But God does it feel good to be out of the house and in a social situation. I'm taking him over to Boy Scouts tonight also. My Dad is the Scout Master so I'll probably hang out for a while. I'm also bringing Al home after the meeting but his parents or brother should be home by then.
I got a call back from the Doctor and it was actually the Doctor himself that called. He said that there wasn't really anything he could do to stop the food from coming out the south end until they know what exactly is causing it but he did prescribe something that should help with nausea. So we'll see what happens with that. I am waiting for the text that it's filled and then I'll go pick it up. If it's before Scouts I'll drop Al off and go while he's there.
Matt made it to the store and back for food. I haven't been cooking dinner or anything so the only way we've been getting food is from the store down the street. I have to go food shopping when we get money on Friday. I'm not sure how Matt's feeling now. I'm probably going to call him in a few minutes. I guess I really needed to get out of the house though. I actually feel a lot better. I also spent some time praying while I was waiting for Al to get dropped off from his program and I think that also really helped. I am feeling much more upbeat. It's still hard but I guess I have a brighter outlook on it? I don't know. Lol
