It is unlikely that you will lose weight consistently (i.e., weight loss is not linear)

Started a new (enjoyable!) plan two weeks back, whooshed the first week and then nada the second week. Post is a great reminder to just keep swimming.1

Awesome bumping this week, Dianne!0

I know for me TOM is a huge factor during which time I gain weight. I know this is only water weight and that I am still losing fat during this time because once it's over I lose in a bunch. Also when I started my exercise program I gained weight in the beginning due to water retention.0

Weight loss isn't linear.2

My lovely daughter was telling me this because I only lost .4lbs. & was mad at myself. Salt is NOT my friend but I'm sure it's more than that. Been going through a LOT of stress & I know that's not good. Thank you for this, I needed it. How about a fluffy black cat & no slap needed??? LOL0

You are right,what you have to factor in is your set point weight. Its like a regulator that slows the progress but after a period of time it breaks then a new one is set. The idea is to stay consistent with your plan and let time take its course. Eventually it will come off.8

No, that's not what this post is about at all (except for the staying consistent part).5 -

This can be so difficult because salt plus stress and you're taking a potential double hot. And even more if you have added exercise or if you aren't post menopausal and your hormones are "acting up."
Heck, you lost .4. Yay!! And on data where your stagnant or up, looking at where you've come from our just looking at the big picture in general will hopefully calm those oh crap emotions.0 -
Consistancy = Results
It is the time of year that people need reassurance and support.
Once the excitement of beginning wears off, the real work starts.
The hardest part is not giving up and quitting.
Thanks for the pep talk op.

The more stellar your consistency and discipline is, the more linear will be your weight loss.12
