Weekly Goals:
1200 calories + what I work out only!
drink 3 liters of water a day
lift weights 3x and ride bike 2-3x and yoga 2x
04/13 - 181.4 - Rainy lazy not feeling too good kinda day -- dog walk was my only exercise
04/14 - 182.1 - 8 miles on the bike + dog walk. Calorie tracking was on point, but my water intake was not great. Plus some evening snacking.
04/15 - 182.8 - Lifting weights at lunch and then yoga/pilates tonight. Already had a liter of water and I'm really hoping to have a loss tomorrow.
04/16 - 180.7 - Walking 3-4 miles over lunch and then hopefully squeezing in a bike ride this evening. Really sore, so we'll see. Dog walk at the very least. SO pleased because I reached 180 last week and then have just hovered around 181-182 for several days so I'm glad I'm finally going back in that direction!
04/17 - 181.3 - Sigh. Lifted weights over lunch, but my yoga class was cancelled due to noexistant expected hail/severe weather. Also rode my bike a lot.
04/18 - 181.5 - Long walk over lunch and a good dog walk as well. Getting frustrated. But I'm not ever going to give up on this. I feel like I was hoping I would just magically get to my goal in a few months and obviously that's not realistic. I need to dig in and do the work for much longer than that.
04/19 - 182.5 - Ugh. So frustrated. I feel like I'm stressing about not losing weight and kinda trying to mess with cal goals and macros and things and kinda losing focus. Maybe next week I can try and go back to what I was doing on weeks I have lost weight. Maybe chill out a bit and not worry about the number on the scale. I know my waist is getting smaller and my body is looking better. It's just so hard to not worry about the number on the scale.

@deepwoodslady - I'm on doxycycline and was told to avoid any dairy 2 hours before and after taking a dose as it interferes with the absorption of it. I've never had those instructions with any other antibiotic, so it may just be this one.
@jaccimc63 Okay thanks for the info. I know that doxycycline is a fairly common antibiotic so it is good to know. I hope you are better soon!

04/12 …..191.8….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
04/13 …..191.8 ….. Busy helping nieces with funeral arrangements for my sister. Doing this all long distance although I am getting some help from my local funeral home. Memorial services at a later date. Things will be hectic for the next few days. I don’t expect a lot of progress in my exercise or diet. Just trying to hang in there. But I wish everyone lots of luck this round!
04/14 ….. 192.0….. I am going to try to stick to plan today regardless of stress & busy schedule. It is, as always, a heavy work day for me on Sunday. I’m going to take it & run with it!
04/15 …..191.8 ….. I Tried hard yesterday in spite of it all. I had several days of grab & go immediately following my sister’s death. I also ate my emotions. Lots of mistakes like being too busy to eat dinner then bingeing later at night. I was back on track yesterday as my appetite was suddenly gone so it wasn’t difficult. Yesterday’s stats: 1036 Calories In / 2375 Calories Out. 9 Net Carbs. 11,202 Total Steps & 4.04 Total Miles. IF: 20:4 due to lack of hunger most of the day & evening. Charged fitbit so I am not sure about sleep time. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I took a 28 minute moderately paced walk. More arrangements today in Tennessee from Michigan. We are finalizing much of it today, I hope. I am electronically submitting pics etc for obituary etc. I have multiple cabins to clean here at home/work. Busy day today for me but staying busy helps during such grief. I hope to stay on plan though as best I can again with my eating & exercise. I just need a minute and I will work hard on making it as healthy a minute as possible. Thanks again to everyone for the hugs & luv.
04/16 ….. 191.8….. I am still all over the place here. I ate grilled cheese & tomato soup & crackers for the first time in over a year. A big no-no in my plan. Yesterdays stats: 2070 Calories In / 2705 Calories out. 158 Net Carbs. 16,046 Total Steps & 6.84 Total Miles. IF 18:6 . 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 50 minutes waking up still exhausted this morning but unable to sleep anymore. The plus is that I managed a 75 minute moderately paced walk so that I would not totally abandon all my goals. However, I ate the grilled cheese meal after the walk, so that was disappointing. I still need a minute here. I am still really struggling with the death. If I can just hold on without a gain I will be happy. However, tomorrow is travel (including restaurant) and Thursday is a business launch party complete with food, so that coupled with my emotions is making me nervous. I am going to work hard today and take each day as they come. My emotions will settle in at some point and I will get strong. I just have to try to mitigate the damage right now, every day, as I hobble & limp along because it does feel like I’m on a hilly, curvy, muddy treacherous road dragging my heart behind with a chain. I ‘ve been on this road before. Time does NOT heal all wounds, but it does get better. Walking toward the light here folks.
04/17 …..191.8 ….. I had a very good day yesterday for eating on plan & for some planned exercise (walking). Very low on water, however and I am sure I’m dehydrated somewhat. Finalization of plans for my sister were made including my final payment by phone. I am proud that I did not eat those emotions. Travel today & social event tomorrow will test me. I am weak & vulnerable right now, but I am also committed so we’ll see how this goes. Yesterday’s stats: 1028 Calories In/2238 Calories Out. 28 Net carbs due mainly to the veggies in my lunch. 12,104 Total Steps & 5.12 Total Miles. IF 16:8 . 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept an amazing 7 hours & 4 minutes but still woke up tired. I laid in bed another hour but couldn’t sleep, so I am getting a late start on my trip. Feeling a bit better now after my black coffee. I walked 1 hour & 51 minutes at a semi brisk pace. I just have not felt like dancing. It feels to festive at such a sorrowful time. I will get back there asap. Sadly but thankfully, life on earth goes on & I will too. I continue to appreciate the notes & hugs. Thanks folks!
04/18 …..192.6 ….. Logged (way too many calories & carbs) as best I could. Only meal out when out of town which included breaded chicken & mashed potatoes & a small dessert which all came with the meal. Carby but portions were in control which is an NSV for me. The pre-packaged snacks I brought along helped keep me in check for most of the very long day. I walked 12,281 total steps. 5.42 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours 31 minutes last night & woke up refreshed. Today is the launch party for my middle daughter on her Mary Kay business so I will try to keep things in check. I must remember water to flush my likely sodium retention after yesterday. The scale went up which is likely some sodium, but I am proud that I handled it in a much controlled manner yesterday. If I even sniff carbs over 50g my weight goes up so this is not unexpected. This too shall pass. Onward!
04/19 ….192.6. ….. Family emergency with my daughter last night. Her and my 1 yr old grandson ended up spending the night at my house last night after I returned home from the launch party. I am babysitting today. It’s keeping me on my toes for sure! Yesterday’s stats: 2289 Calories In / 2525 Calories Out. 168 Net Carbs. 11,652 Total Steps & 6.52 Total Miles. IF 12:12. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 11 minutes and while often it is enough sleep, I am beginning to really realize that it leaves me with a larger than average awake & eating window which can make it rough. I wish I could sleep more but my business just won’t allow it & I’ve become accustomed. I fit in a 27 minute dance even though I was away from home for quite some time yesterday. Sample song “Slow Ride” by Foghat. Have a great weekend everyone.

04/13 - 276.6 - Woot! I got to sleep to closer to my actual waking point. Yesterday was my fast day until five (I have meds that require food). My sleep was interrupted at one point due to the fire alarm, no actual fire though. My cat still freaked out and hid under the bed. I'm almost to my next goal!
04/14 276.8 - A slight uptick caused by a rude awakening early. My cat insisted that I get up early. He pawed at my face and then my back and head when I turned over to go back to sleep. I think the snow was setting off his alarm bells. It was getting kinda chilly in the room. I had left the window open as it wasn't supposed to get that cold or windy as it was. I got a lot of walking in today. I finished with 27,020 steps. I did Zombies, Run! (London Calling) and a regular walk along with walking during commercial breaks. Tomorrow I start Week 3 of Zombies, Run! Couch to 5K
04/15 - 275.8 - Sooooo close to my next main target goal. It's 275, then the next one will be 250. I can't believe how far I've come. I started this journey this year at 339.8 on January 2nd. So I hope to reach that 275 this round and to surpass it, actually. I had to put on my winter coat to go to church yesterday due to unexpected shift in the weather yesterday morning. I haven't been able to button it up in years. I was able to button all the buttons with more than enough room to move around in the coat yesterday. It was nice. Today is Week 3, Day 1 of couch to 5K Zombies, Run! style, more walking, doctor's appointment and blood draw.
04/16 - 276 - Slight uptick, but weighed waaaay early due to waking up early again. I may have to try something different to try and get my sleep. I am fasting today to grieve the loss of the Notre Dame Cathedral, while she is not utterly destroyed it is going to take a generation and an untold fortune to rebuild her. It is also unfortunate that this happened during Holy Week. In one picture it looked like she was battling Hell itself. I am grateful to all 400 firefighters and further security personnel that worked to battle the blaze and keep the people safe as well. For the firefighter that was seriously injured I pray for his/her speedy recovery today. I will be doing some walking today. Yesterday I did do Week 3, Day 1 of my couch to 5K in the morning, it truly tested me.
04/17 - 271.8 - Well this was unexpected. It’s nice to see but unexpected. I did some walking and praying yesterday. I also did an episode of Zombies, Run! I’m not sure when I will do the next training session of couch to 5K training as I have an appointment this morning I don’t want to be late for. I can’t push it till tomorrow morning due to my aid coming. And Friday is a food pantry. I’ll figure it out.
04/18 - 273.4 - Eh. Not sure about the number. Weighed in an hour early. I woke up early due to the weather and couldn't get back to sleep. I did another episode of Zombies, Run! yesterday and unfortunately I discovered that the fun DJ's that come on after the mission are not coming on because I have to run through all the missions again! in order to get them back. Oh, well. It'll take awhile, but to me it's worth it.
04/19 - 272.2 - Going back down. I slept a bit later this morning, but still up early. I managed to Week 3, Day 2 of C25K yesterday. I got a little bit dizzy and quesy starting in the middle of it and got progressively worse. My glucose tablets finally arrive today, and I plan on carrying them with me the next I exercise just in case it happens again. I also walked for an hour using Zombies, Run! starting over with Mission 1.

04/18 AWOL. I will start weighing in daily now. I am doing well on tracking so far, but I am HUNGRY! Even to the point of being nauseated. I eat all my calories to lose 1.5 lbs per week, and I eat my exercise calories. I try to make filling choices and snack in a health way.
04/19: 202.2 WHAT! did not expect that. It is my first week, and probably "water weight". But I'll take it. I am setting a new goal, to be down .2 by 4/22 weigh in (Easter weekend, could be tough).

04/13 153.5, had sushi (lent) and a lot of soy sauce, no idea how much salt was in that until I saw this number since is higher than I was all last week. I love weighing every day since I’m not freaked out by this number and know it will be gone soon
04/14 152.6, happy to see a lot of the salt is gone. Hopefully will resist temptation at dinner time tonight to end the weekend lighter than I started
04/15 152.4, so close to seeing a 151.x number this round. My TOM will be mid week so just going to make sure I’m hydrated and avoid fried foods. Going to a basic cardio and strength class that’s held once every few months for beginners. Those types of classes always intimidate me, but figured a beginning one should be good.
04/16 152.4, such a hard class yesterday, but I felt great for not giving up. I did have to modify a lot, but a lot of the exercises were completely new to me. I tend to do elipitical and spinning as my exercises, so any weights and total body exercises are foreign. My hamstrings and glutes are paying the price haha
04/17 152.1, new low and so close to a 151 number! Yesterday, I took it easy and might need to do the same today because I still hurt getting up and walking up and down stairs. Lots of stretching in my future!
04/18 152, managed to get a 35 minute elliptical. Hope to continue the downward trend to end this round under 152.
04/19 152, I only drank 48 oz of water so woke up thirsty bc I did have tofu with soy sauce for dinner yesterday. Off to the gym for 70 minutes. I’m fasting two meals for Good Friday so going to take it a bit easier than my usual Friday which involves more strenuous exercise

You all have inspired me to approach this as a lifestyle - not a diet.
I realized I have been wearing "slimming" black/grey almost exclusively since I gain 60 pounds years ago. I was waiting to buy new clothes (and colorful clothes) until I lost weight. I realized it just made me look depressed - not thin!
No more.
Yesterday I went out and bought new clothes - spring colors - coral, yellow, green tops and Ralph Lauren Curvy jeans (dark blue - just couldn't buy the white.) I want to lose weight, but I am tired of putting my life on hold until I am a small size. Thanks for the inspirations all!!!
I look forward to the journey.

I have to say that eating keto for almost 2 years, I am very mindful of my eating. It has been shown to reverse T2 diabetes, which I do not have. You just have to think about what you are putting in your mouth BEFORE you do it. It does become second nature.
Thanks @quiltingjaine As I read your reply I realized that a lot of the eating I do is mindless so mindful would have to be an improvement. I am nervous about what the dietitian will expect - but I will find out soon enough - I have an appointment on Tuesday.5 -

@taxgirl1 Thank you. I'm still walking a LOT and doing weights once a week. Keeping my calories in check. It's just that it's been 4 rounds at basically the same weight doing the same things. Your words are so true, but it feels good when someone else says them.
@IsMollyReallyHungry Thank you. I am NOT giving up. I did a weekend of maintenance a few weeks ago and it was not as easy as I thought eating what I wanted. So at this point I don't think mentally I can allow myself to be too bad. I'm not sure that's good either but until I'm no longer obese I'm going to try to keep my calories in check. Until the weather gets too hot, I will be walking. It's addictive and I'm hooked.7 -

4/13: 194.2 (I got TOM 3 days early again! 🙁 at least I maintained my weight from yesterday! Last night I had some Chipotle and it was so yummy after a long week! I also did a 45 minute elliptical workout as soon as I got home after work. Have a nice weekend!
4/14: 195.0 (I guess I didn’t gain too much this TOM, so that’s amazing! I did a 15 minute elliptical workout and a 15 minute total body workout! I also went to dinner last night at a Cuban place and had lots of papa rellenas and chicken croquettes. It was so yummy and worth all the working out all week!)
4/15: 196.4 (There's that gain I was expecting from the weekend...hopefully I lose some of that TOM weight by Friday! Yesterday, I did a 45 minute elliptical workout and had one slice of pizza and a breadstick for dinner last night. I am looking forward to a fresh week and we'll see if it's a successful one. Happy Monday!)
4/16: 196.4 (TOM has ended, but my weight continues to stay up like it always does for a few days after. I did a core workout, 10 minute elliptical workout and 15 minute HIIT elliptical workout last night. I ate at a deficit with a grilled chicken salad and a small portion of ice cream. Gonna continue the grind and see what happens!)
4/17: 195.2 (Finally, some sort of progress in the right direction! I had to cut my workout short to prep dinner last night. I did a 10 minute elliptical workout followed by 15 minutes of HIIT on the elliptical. I made some chicken chow mein and it was soooo good and worth the long prep time. I'm hoping I have a loss by my official weigh in day on Friday!)
4/18: 194.4 (Okay, I'm on the right track! I have just 0.2 pounds to be below my weight last Friday. I'm hoping for a good day today with my calories and exercise to see a new low tomorrow morning. Last night, I did not do a workout since I had a nail appointment after work #priorities. I made spaghetti with meat sauce with garlic bread last night! )
4/19: 192.0 (What a woosh to see happen this morning! I did a 30 minute strength training workout and ate turkey meatballs with pasta. I’m 0.8 pounds away from my goal! I want this diet break haha)

Day/Weight/Comment
04/13 - 140.7 I believe this is the TOM drop I was waiting for in the last challenge, better late than never. I also cut white carbs yesterday that I had been eating through the previous week. -1.1lbs
04/14 - 140.7 I guess it has to slow down at some point. My diet was on point and I met my exercise goal yesterday as well. I also drank a ton of water yesterday (12cups). Not sure why the stall. Will see what tomorrow brings.
04/15 - 140 I did weigh in 3 hours later than normal so might be a little off but progress nonetheless.
04/16 - 140.7 I thought it might be up a little because of yesterday’s late weigh in possibly skewing numbers but I didn’t think I’d be back up where I was the day before. I have been doing a lot of strength training, maybe I’m retaining water. Either way I’m still on track. NSVs are abundant. I look much better in clothes than I did when I weighed less. I am also seeing noticeable changes in my strength and muscle mass. Hopefully I’ll see a drop on the scale tomorrow but either way I’m doing good! 💪🏻
04/17 - 140.2 I was expecting a little more but it’s a loss so I can’t complain. Looking forward to getting back into the 130s!
04/18 - 140.2 Just happy I didn’t gain with the taquitos I ate last night. 🤭
04/19 - 140.7 ugh. I have too many taquitos left over. Finishing them today and then back on track. I really don’t want to end this challenge in the 140s. 🤦🏻♀️

Back again. This round is going to be a tough one for me and I would love to just maintain and stay in the 140's. We will be leaving on Sunday morning for Phoenix and won't be home till Thursday. There are 2 weekends in this round and one of them is Easter( which I am of course hosting) and we will have a funeral to attend to out of town also. So I would say roughly 7 out of the next 10 days we will be eating mostly restaurant or fast food, sleeping in hotels, and having very little consistency at all. I will only be at work 2 days out of the next 10, which is never good. I stay on track with my eating and water so much better when I am at work, but this is life and I have to be able to manage it I guess, so all I can do is hope for the best.
Ended Rn 73: 148.8 10 day average 149.51
04/13 - 149.4 up a bit as I expected from the alcohol and snacking the night before and I did not make great food choices yesterday either. I wanted comfort food most of the day. I am spending all of today getting ready to leave for Phoenix with the hubby tomorrow and get the 2 youngest kids set up at my moms for the week. So lots of errands, grocery shopping, cleaning, and packing today. I am definitely taking my scale this time though. Last time I left I gained 12 pounds when I got back home, lol. So I think I need the accountability of still having to weigh everyday.
04/14 - 150.3 up a bit more today. Not enough water and bad food choices. Super busy day all day yesterday. Leaving for Phoenix in a couple hours and I am so ready for a break. It’s been a rough week.
04/15- dnw - after all my planning I forgot my darn scale at home. We have a pool at the place we are staying at so went swimming and laid out by the pool. Hopefully I can stay on track for the next couple of days.

04/19 - 151.9 just got back last night and didn't destroy myself completely while I was gone. I refused to put any snacks or sweets in the house that we were staying in, so I couldn't snack all day long. I am up about 3 pounds, but most of that is probably alcohol and carbs. Lots of drinking went on the last couple of days with old friends. Also we drove back yesterday and that was a 7 hour ride in the car where I couldn't drink my normal 100 ounces of water or we would have never gotten home, lol. So I am back on track today with water, but we have no food in the house since we have been gone for the last 5 days. Need to go food shopping tomorrow and get ready for Easter. Had to go into work for a couple of hours today which really helps with my water consumption. Probably will finish high, but that's ok. I am super proud of my vacation gain, seeing as 2 months ago when we went to Vegas I came back and gained 12 pounds. I am hoping to be below 145 before Memorial Day (our family vaca with all of the kids).

Day/Weight/Comment
04/13--208.9 Hardly drank any water yesterday. Went to the 2nd dance lesson yesterday and we did the swing dance. Hubby was definitely more relaxed this week and actually said that he enjoyed himself...he liked the swing more than rumba from last week. I am starting to drop the hint that maybe we could take some swing lessons after this 4 week session is over...we'll see how that goes. Going for a run this morning and then running some errands the rest of the day.
04/14--209.2 I was so thirsty when I woke up this morning...I knew I didn't drink enough water yesterday. Ran for 3.5 miles yesterday and went to the gym this morning. I slept for 9 hours last night and could have slept for more if it wasn't for the dog plodding around this morning. Going to rewatch the last episode of GoT, hubby and I rewatched every episode over the past 3 months, and then get ready to watch the new episode tonight.
04/15--209.2 Really worked on getting my water in yesterday so that was a success. Run today and streching/foam rolling.
04/16--209.8 Ran 2.5 miles yesterday but did not do much stretching/foam rolling. Went to the chiropractor yesterday and he was also talking to me about stretching. There is one stretch that he wants me to do at least once for every hour I am at work...I've already missed the first 3 hours of my work day. Today is trainer.
04/17--209.2 Sore this morning from working with trainer last night. Did some snacking last night after dinner and looking back I realized that my dinner wasn't filling enough and especially on the evenings I work out with my trainer I feel even hungrier. Supposed to go out for a run before yoga tonight, but not sure if that will happen. I'm going to work on getting to bed a little earlier...even though I get about 7-7 1/2 hours of sleep I know I could definitely use some more sleep.
04/18--208.7 Had a great 2 mile run yesterday and then went to yoga. I was so tight during yoga, but I feel great this morning. Had 8 hours of sleep last night. Tonight is trainer night.
04/19--208.5 Working out with the trainer yesterday was really hard, not just physically but also mentally. My inflexibility is affecting some of my lifts and while the trainer has made some adjustments and is working with me on my flexibility I was getting frustrated with how inflexible I am and how I don't know if I can ever be more flexible. However, after I got home from my workout I started working on a plan. One of the things that I am going to do is put an alarm on my phone to go off every hour during my work day to remind me to stretch. I'm also going to use my stand up desk more often. Hopefully that will make a difference. Dance lessons tonight.

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

04/18/19- 168.4 Glad to be down some. It’s the week before my TOM. I just computed my average weight so far for this round, and it’s 167.96, so I’m on target to make my goal, if not surpass it. Plus, Spring Break is now here!
04/17/19- 169 I drank a cup of water before I remembered to weigh this morning, so that number may be more like 168.8. Must be retaining water from the leg workout yesterday.
04/16/19- 167.6. I haven’t slept well the past 2 nights. I’m getting ready to cut my caffeine in half.
04/15/19- 166.8 I think this is my lowest weight yet. I ate a salad for lunch yesterday, and watched my sodium intake. When I hit 165.5, that will be 40 total pounds lost. Would love for that to happen on this round!
04/14/19- 168.4 It’s okay. Went to Outback for lunch, and ate my entire baked potato. It was well worth the uptick. I was back on track today.

Yesterday: 🚶♀️🏃♀️🥊🧘🍫🍷
This round is going to be tough. Two weekends including Easter, when I'll be going back to London to pack up our house for the move while catching up with friends and a desperately needed date night with DH.
I'm reinstating some moderate goals, but left some out that I know I won't be managing this round.
R73 EW: 71.7kg
Sat 04/13 71.5kg - 🚶♀️13k🍷 2300+cals in, 650 fitbit adjust, 8-900over
Picking up new car, yay! Steps will probably be quite low today, 2hr train ride to car, meet SIL and a couple of friends for lunch, then 2.5hr drive back home, dinner out...
Sun 04/14 - 71.5kg 🚶♀️8k🍷 didn't log cals, 315 fitbit adjust
I have a car! This is so exciting. It will negatively impact on my steps, but it also means I save 30mins each way to work, so I can start my morning runs again. And overall a new way of living 😊🚗
Yesterday wasn't too bad foodwise, a few road trip snacks (easter eggs) and ice cream after dinner. I estimated very generously, so cals might well have been lower.
Today, went for brunch, but very civilised, then Ikea before I dropped off my SIL at the airport. I didn't eat much, but had a few more Easter eggs - to finish them before the new week.
Mon 04/15 71.0kg 🚶♀️10k 🏃♀️2k 🧘🍷 1422 cals in, 447 fitbit adjust, 315 deficit
What a nice surprise this morning! Day was good food-wise, went for a brief lunch time walk and a 2k run - I really need to do some work to get back into running...
Tue 04/16 71.3kg no goals achieved, oops
Dinner with work, it was tapas style dinner but loads of different cuisines. I just estimated 1000cals for it.
I only did 3000 steps, this is my new reality, driving to and from work, plus no time for a lunch walk... Definitley don't want that to be the norm.
Wed 04/17 71.4kg 1713 cals in, 306 fitbit adjust, 178 over, 7k steps today
Weight is going the wrong direction, but not really surprising.
I favoured sleep over run or yoga again in the morning. I'm finding it really difficult to find an end to my day in the evening as they seem so short.
Food was acceptable, too much sugar, but not terrible. Ikea trip after work upped my steps, but still not made the 10k.
Thu 04/18 71.4kg cals over (wine and snacks), 7k steps
It's ok if I maintain this round. It's been a hectic week and the weekend will be no better. At work I needed chocolate and tonight I needed some wine! But at least I should get my steps in over Easter.
Fri 04/19 71.1kg not logged, 16k steps!
trip to London, night out
Food on my trip was acceptable, got plenty of steps in due to travel, walking around the house and then walked to meet my friend who I haven't seen since August. We had prosecco and chocolate and the best catch up. I also found my old non-digital scale, so can use that for the next couple of days.

Bridie giving this another go!
SW: 118.5kg
CW: 81.5kg
GW for this round: Under 80kg.
End GW: 70-72kg.
My weight has been all over the place this last week (prior to the challenge) with my period. After having plataued on 80.6kg for 4 days prior to this, it shot up to 81.6kg over the past couple of days. Really want to focus hard these 10 days on a strong weight loss as my June trip is coming close and I've worked hard to get as close to my end goal weight as I can for it!
Day/Weight/Comment
04/13: 81.5kg.
04/14: 80.5kg. Yesterday was eating well, gardening and doing 15000 steps. I am feeling it today! Wondering if THIS is the bounce back to my pre-period rate or if my weight will move up again tommorrow.
04/15: 80.7kg. Not as much as a bounce up as could have been. Lots of gardening and walking. Now, back into the work week!
04/16: 80.3kg. Glad to be moving down but really getting tired of being stuck in the 80 point dots. Managed to do my 10000 steps even with a sudden double shift.
04/17: 80.2kg. Arg. and, yay. But arg. 10,000 steps, calories on point.
04/18: 80.0kg. Doing all the right things. Seeing the results. 70s still proving veeery hard to break. Tommorrow, maybe? Maybe...
04/19: 79.8kg. So shed a little tear over this this morning. Somehow, the weight loss only seems real now. This feels very much the homeward stretch from here on in. I won't get down into my goal weight range by my trip (June 1st) as I've aimed for since the beginning of this journey, however it's very much an 'aim for the moon as even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars' scenario. Three days to go this round, lets see if I can solidify in the 79 point dots.
04/20: 79.6kg. Holding! Lots of hard work around the house going in, keeping up my steps and calories.

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

Goal for this challenge -3lbs
04/13 187.6 lbs
04/14 186.3 lbs goal for today: walk at least an hour and track water
04/15 186.6 lbs had a bad day yesterday with cramps and back pain, so not much activity. Food-wise it was an ok weekend. Looking at Monday motivated!
04/16 186.1 lbs Yesterday was a very good day exercise wise and also food wise. Even had some calories left over for a piece of chocolate (and stayed under my carbs goal! Yay!). Let’s do this again today!
04/17 184.8 lbs What a nice drop! Hopefully I can keep it. Made a semi-smart choice at the restaurant yesterday (very satisfying Couscous-Vegetable Stir-fry, left me with little calories for the rest of the day, but I got through with vegetables and fruit), so I will have to work on that.
04/18 184.6 lbs - wow! After having two scoops of ice cream with my son yesterday afternoon I was sure I was going to see a gain today. But I guess staying within my calorie limit and only eating veggies for dinner serves its purpose! Goal for today: going to the gym and finally tracking my water intake!
04/19 184.2 lbs never thought I was going to see another loss today. Did a lot of guessing yesterday and was a tiny bit over my calorie limit, but I’ll take it! Also did achieve both goals yesterday. Today involves a lot of cleaning, baking and preparing food for the upcoming Easter celebration. We’ll see how I do with all this delicious food around.
04/20 185.1 lbs I’m neither surprised nor disappointed as I had lots of delicious food yesterday and also a glass of wine to round off the day. This is a journey and not allowing myself anything at all is not the way I want to go. I’m pretty sure there won’t be any more losses this weekend/challenge with Easter celebrations but I’m happy with what I’ve lost so far on my first challenge!
