OK, a new round! Maybe it's the sunshine and warmer weather, but I feel the winter blues slipping away and feel optimistic about getting back to my previous low in a couple of months. Step by step! Have a great Saturday!
04/13 - 152
04/14 - 151.8
Today will be challenging foodwise, but I'll do what I can do.
04/15 - 153
Way to much salt and way too little water yesterday. Today's a new day.
04/16 - 153
Vegan Chinese yesterday, so more sodium overload, and I had to teach last night, came home hungry, and ate a bunch of wheat thins. Oh well. Off for a walk along the river and a more salad-y day today.
04/17 - 152
I went for a lovely 5-mile walk along our Rivergreenway yesterday. Wildflowers everywhere! Spring beauties, swamp buttercups, dog-tooth violents all in bloom and Mayapples, violets, bedstraw, trillium all about ready. And birds, birds, birds, from LBJs ("little brown jobs" -- birder talk) to Turkey Vultures, Red-tailed Hawks, and Great Blue Herons. Fabulous!
04/18 - 153
Hover, hover.
04/19 - 152.8
It's rainy and cold, but the 5 eggs in the nest on my front porch have turned into naked baby house finches, so I'm all warm and fuzzy. And I'm having lunch with a new friend, so that will warm me up some more. I'll try to be good. Have a lovely weekend, all!
04/20 - 153.8
Calories were in line, but I had a very salty reuben for lunch, and enjoyed every bite! It's fine. I'm off to the Y in a bit and am drinking lots of water. I'm not worrying much until next round cuz I do plan to have some chocolate tomorrow. Happy Easter weekend to all who celebrate one way or another.
04/21 - 153
Hoppy Easter!
04/22 - 153
We went to Fazoli's yesterday and I also had a small chocolate binge cuz, you know, Easter/Passover/Spring, but I that's it, I've had my fun. Back to healthy eating, lots of fish & veggies, some fruit, limited whole grains. No snacking on Triscuits. Mostly no added sugar. More walking. No excuses. See you at R75!

- not what I had planned, time to refocus and begin again. A few days over calories, also high carbs and refined sugar. Time to go back to clean choices. Will review my menu from the first few weeks.
A slight detour as I travel towards better health. Still on my journey, I just hit a pothole. (- it happens every spring!) 😉Highest Weight 210

4/13: 194.2 (I got TOM 3 days early again! 🙁 at least I maintained my weight from yesterday! Last night I had some Chipotle and it was so yummy after a long week! I also did a 45 minute elliptical workout as soon as I got home after work. Have a nice weekend!
4/14: 195.0 (I guess I didn’t gain too much this TOM, so that’s amazing! I did a 15 minute elliptical workout and a 15 minute total body workout! I also went to dinner last night at a Cuban place and had lots of papa rellenas and chicken croquettes. It was so yummy and worth all the working out all week!)
4/15: 196.4 (There's that gain I was expecting from the weekend...hopefully I lose some of that TOM weight by Friday! Yesterday, I did a 45 minute elliptical workout and had one slice of pizza and a breadstick for dinner last night. I am looking forward to a fresh week and we'll see if it's a successful one. Happy Monday!)
4/16: 196.4 (TOM has ended, but my weight continues to stay up like it always does for a few days after. I did a core workout, 10 minute elliptical workout and 15 minute HIIT elliptical workout last night. I ate at a deficit with a grilled chicken salad and a small portion of ice cream. Gonna continue the grind and see what happens!)
4/17: 195.2 (Finally, some sort of progress in the right direction! I had to cut my workout short to prep dinner last night. I did a 10 minute elliptical workout followed by 15 minutes of HIIT on the elliptical. I made some chicken chow mein and it was soooo good and worth the long prep time. I'm hoping I have a loss by my official weigh in day on Friday!)
4/18: 194.4 (Okay, I'm on the right track! I have just 0.2 pounds to be below my weight last Friday. I'm hoping for a good day today with my calories and exercise to see a new low tomorrow morning. Last night, I did not do a workout since I had a nail appointment after work #priorities. I made spaghetti with meat sauce with garlic bread last night! )
4/19: 192.0 (What a woosh to see happen this morning! I did a 30 minute strength training workout and ate turkey meatballs with pasta.)
4/20: 193.2 (A little bit of an increase. I had some planned out Chinese food last night with my hubby for date night. Hubby says I should start my diet break now but I have lots of calories I saved throughout the week so that means higher calories today and tomorrow. Workout yesterday was 45 minutes on the elliptical!)
4/21: 194.4 (I ate so much yesterday for a Passover dinner AND a baby shower I was invited too. It was all within my allotted calories but I expected this gain. I did another 45 minute elliptical workout. We’ll see what the end result is of this challenge. I really don’t like Monday final weigh in days.)
4/22: 196.2 (This round ended at an increase but it is expected on a Monday! I celebrated Easter yesterday with a late Brunch and I had some leftover Chinese for dinner. This gain is definitely from all the food over the weekend. I am starting my 2 week diet break today for reaching 192.0 on 4/19 my official weigh in day. I hope being on maintenance for 2 weeks will give me a little break. I'll still be tracking next challenge!)

04/14 185 I wanted hot cross buns - when I couldn't find them I bought a loaf of raisin bread - then I ate the loaf of raisin bread - not all at one but over the afternoon and evening I ate the whole thing! A binge with breaks is still a binge?

04/18 185.4 My diabetes education nurse is sending me to a dietitian to learn "mindful" eating - which is supposed to help manage emotional eating. Does anyone have any experience/words of wisdom on that?
04/19 Good Friday DNW slept late. Today is a modified fast day for me (Modified due to type 2 diabetes) 1 meal, 2 snacks, no sweets, no meat, no alcohol, no caffeine. I miss the caffeine the most.
04/20 185.4 started the day with a workout, hopping to go for a walk later if the rain lets up a bit.
04/21 Easter Sunday 184.6 I am not likely to get a loss for the round, but I feel like I am back on track. No Easter chocolate for me, but I have some lovely flowers!

SW- 170.6 (4/11/19)
GW-150
Mini-goal 167ish
04/12-170.6
04/13-170.2down a tiny bit from yesterday. Need to focus on getting more water... Why is it so hard for me when its cool outside! Also might try to squeeze a workout or walk in later.
04/14-169.4down a bit more yay! Happy about my food so far, even resisted doughnuts at church
04/15-168.8Had two yummy salads yesterday and felt toatally satisfied afterwards. Skipped my usual before bed snack because I wasn't hungry. Not 100% sure my weight is accurate though because my scale literally died after that number flashed on the screen for 1 second.... Need to go get a new one🤷
04/16-167.8glad to be in the range of my mini goal. I have been a lot more mindful of my food and getting in a ton of steps so let's see how far this can take me 🎉
04/17-167.6 tiny drop which is awsome since I know my Qdoba lunch was super salty (but still in check for calories)! Also I realized my weigh in dates have been off by a day... I readjusted it, let's just blame it on the fact that it's Holy week and its very busy here in our house and I'm obviously losing my mind 😅
04/18-167.2 feeling good and reminding myself now that if the scale goes up a bit tomorrow it will be ok havent had a streak of losses like this in awhile. Thanks for the inspiration guys!
04/19-166.4😲🎉
04/20-166.2knowing I have to check in with you guys had really kept my eating under control. Now focusing on more water and more moving.
04/21- 166.2 Happy to stay here, went out to eat yesterday at a place with no nutrition info. Chose as best as I could, side salad instead of fries and cut my chicken sandwich in half before I started eating. Did move a lot though spent all day outside with the kiddos, even got sunburt 😲 thats crazy in the midwest this early in the year! Happy Easter everyone. Hallelujah! Christ is risen!
04/22-166.4 Happy with this final weigh in! Down a total of 3.8 lbs just in time for a quick family vacation to a water park!

UGW - somewhere in the mid-130's. Will see what's attainable when I get in the 130's
Goal for round 74 - drop 1 pound.
4/13 - 144.0. Uptick to start off, yuck. Wins yesterday: dog walk and an upper body weights circuit. Hydrated well. Tracked food. Went to bed early. Ate too many snacks in the evening though and went over my calorie goal. My daughter’s softball tournament is cancelled due to rain so hopefully that helps me stay on track with food during the day. We are attending a Bat Mitzvah this evening so my goal is to not go overboard there. I don’t know what the food situation will be but I’m sure it will be delicious.
4/14 - 144.6. Not unexpected but I still hate to see it go up. Yesterday was my planned off day from the gym, and it coincided with a social event with food heavier than what I normally eat. And dessert 😉. So all was planned and I knew a higher number was possible. Also haven’t gotten enough sleep this weekend. Back on track today with a workout and tracking everything I eat.
4/15 - 145.1. Wrong direction! Wins Sunday: bodycombat class and a dog walk (cut shorter than I wanted due to rain but still got out there), good hydration. Tracked my food, but went over my calorie goal. We went out to a new breakfast place that opened near our house. I picked a healthier option but I'm sure it's higher calorie/uses more oil than I would make at home. And my daughter baked a cake so of course had a piece of that. I'm weak when it's in my house which is why I try not to have too much sugar at home! Today is a new day, and I feel a little stronger and more motivated than I did yesterday. At least right now . Hopefully that holds all day.
4/16- 144.8, not a big drop, but back in the right direction at least. Wins yesterday: 5.75 mile run, long dog walk (ended the day with just under 20,000 steps!), tracked my food, hydrated well. Things that didn't go well: not sleeping well the last couple of nights, went over calorie goal thanks to the cake that my daughter made. I cannot resist! Plus running makes me hungry... Goals for today - track everything and stay at goal, working from home and I tend to eat too much those days. Will really try to be conscious of this. I want to tighten everything up this week so I go in to travel this weekend in a good place.
4/17 - 144.4. Wins yesterday: HIIT class, long dog walk, hydrated well, tracked food and was really close to calorie goal only over by a small amount. Still snacking/grazing too much though. Also have a bit of a sore throat so not feeling great yesterday and today. Will take it easier on the physical activity today to hopefully feel better. Will work very hard to stay within my calorie goal today and not graze too much (at home again today - why is it so challenging to stay away from the kitchen while working at home??). Not sleeping well this week at all, I think that has something to do with it. Hoping for a more restful day which will help my mindset. I don't think I'll lose a pound from my starting weight this challenge, this one has been difficult. Will be happy to get back to where I was on 4/12 at this point.
4/18 - 144.4. Feeling very stuck. Wins yesterday: easy short recovery run and a short upper body weight circuit, long dog walk. Hydrated fairly well, room for improvement though. Still grazing/snacking too much at night. I start the day very strong and motivated, and lose it as the day goes on. Something needs to change. I am trying to focus on the positive - that I've lost over 5 pounds in less than a month. That's a great achievement. But I'm having a rough week and not feeling good about my efforts/progress in this challenge. Doing my best to regroup.
4/19 - 144.0. Wins yesterday - RPM class and a long dog walk. Hydrated well. Cupcakes at work so of course I had one, no willpower! But it didn't put me too far over my calorie goal for the day. Leaving later today for a weekend away at my in-laws'. Won't weigh in (I'm sure they have a scale but I like to weigh on mine for consistency) but will try to check in if I can. Will be hard to track food since I'm not preparing it but I'll do my best. Goal is to get out for long walks with the dog when I can, stay hydrated, and practice mindful eating in an attempt to not overindulge. My IL's - all of my husband's family, actually - are very fixated on food. Every meal is huge, they are great cooks but all meals are very heavy and there is always dessert. Portion control will be key. Will see on Monday what kind of damage was done
4/20 - traveling no scale. Checking in because it helps me to write out what I went through the day before in hopes I can improve. Yesterday was very anxiety-ridden. We had severe weather, massive storms and under a tornado warning 3 times. We found a short window of time where there was a lull to drive to my IL’s, and it was really bad here too. I could only get a short dog walk in as it poured mostly all day. The travel and the anxiety over the storms caused me to stress eat big time. Not happy with how I handled the day. Today is a new one. Going to do my best to get in a lot of movement, drink a lot of water, and portion control.
4/21 - traveling no scale. It’s been a rough couple of days. I’m sick, hit hard yesterday morning. I’ve been sedentary the last day and a half, and eating non stop out of boredom. It’s hard to be sick away from home. I did so well on the last two challenges and I’m really upset at how far I’ve fallen these last few days. I’m sure tomorrow’s weigh in will be ugly. I can wallow in self pity or I can pull it together. I’m choosing to do the latter.
4/22 -145.7. I was correct, this weigh in was in fact ugly. This 10 day challenge was a bust. Did not end well and really unhappy with myself for ending up higher than I started. Nothing I can do about it now, except move forward. I'm hopeful this next 10 days is better. I have no wins to report from the weekend really, as I was more sedentary than usual due to a nasty cough and very little sleep. And I've already reported about being sick/sad/away from home and eating way too much. Today is starting off better at least. Not sure how much physical activity I'll get in due to still feeling bad, but I'm determined to make better food choices.
Thank you all for being such a supportive community! I enjoy reading everyone's posts and I am inspired by how well everyone is doing.10 -

4/14 - 177.6 - 40g carbs, 21g net carbs. Carbs were: keto seed porridge, fried chicken, pumpkin seeds, blueberry vanilla goat cheese, horseradish in tuna.
4/15 - 177.2 - 120g carbs, guessing. Visited grands, didn't take food with me for everyone. I think they were somewhat disappointed, since it seemed to be a scramble for food. Sub shop, ugh. My youngest son brought his birthday cake to celebrate with family. Carbs were: chicken tenders, a slice of the most delicious raspberry filled amaretto cake w/amaretto buttercream frosting. Yeah it was decadent. Worth every carb and calorie, but not worth the miserable stuffed feeling afterwards.
4/16 - 177 - 24g carbs, 20g net carbs. Carbs were: breading on chicken tender, salad, pumpkin seeds, salad dressing.
4/17 - 175.2 - 38g carbs, 34g net carbs. (89g carbs, 85g net carbs) adjusted for cake😃
Carbs were: 1 baby potato, zucchini, breaded flounder, peanuts, cake. Quick added 400 calories & 50g carbs to food diary for cake. Cake must go! Passover is coming up!
4/18 - 177.6 - 50g carbs, 45g net carbs. Carbs were: green beans, mini naan, turkey kielbasa, broccoli slaw, salad dressing.
4/19 - 176.4 - 105g carbs, 101g net carbs. Carbs were: naan, unleavened bread, arugula, balsamic vinegar. Passover😁
4/20 - 175 - 52g carbs, 44g net carbs. Carbs were: Mexican squash w/vidalia onions, coconut flour cheddar crackers, dark chocolate.
4/21 -177 - 42g carbs, 34g net carbs. Carbs were: broccoli slaw, salad dressing, salad, apple and celery in chicken salad, unleavened bread, homemade 😒"low carb" crackers😃
4/22 - 175.4 - 81g carbs, 77g net carbs. Carbs were: spinach, popovers (3), strawberry preserves (1.5 TB), milk & dark chocolate (7•1" pcs). Minus 2.6 lbs of fluid weight

04/22- 328.8- reeeeallllly discouraged today. Yesterday was a bad day mentally, but I managed to stay under my calories. I know that I also have to stay under my sodium and get my water in, and I’m sure that’s what messed me up, but seeing this gain really makes me upset.7 -
I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

@rozcolemanart Don't be discouraged, ups and downs are a normal part of the process. You have lost a lot of weight in the last 10 days. You managed your emotions without eating. You are doing great! For most of us our progress is bumpy, think of a sawtoothed curve, or a stockmarket curve.8

04/13 153.5, had sushi (lent) and a lot of soy sauce, no idea how much salt was in that until I saw this number since is higher than I was all last week. I love weighing every day since I’m not freaked out by this number and know it will be gone soon
04/14 152.6, happy to see a lot of the salt is gone. Hopefully will resist temptation at dinner time tonight to end the weekend lighter than I started
04/15 152.4, so close to seeing a 151.x number this round. My TOM will be mid week so just going to make sure I’m hydrated and avoid fried foods. Going to a basic cardio and strength class that’s held once every few months for beginners. Those types of classes always intimidate me, but figured a beginning one should be good.
04/16 152.4, such a hard class yesterday, but I felt great for not giving up. I did have to modify a lot, but a lot of the exercises were completely new to me. I tend to do elipitical and spinning as my exercises, so any weights and total body exercises are foreign. My hamstrings and glutes are paying the price haha
04/17 152.1, new low and so close to a 151 number! Yesterday, I took it easy and might need to do the same today because I still hurt getting up and walking up and down stairs. Lots of stretching in my future!
04/18 152, managed to get a 35 minute elliptical. Hope to continue the downward trend to end this round under 152.
04/19 152, I only drank 48 oz of water so woke up thirsty bc I did have tofu with soy sauce for dinner yesterday. Off to the gym for 70 minutes. I’m fasting two meals for Good Friday so going to take it a bit easier than my usual Friday which involves more strenuous exercise
04/20 151.6, off to the gym for a strength class and have a friend’s birthday party later tonight. Hope to stay under 152 the rest of the round.
04/21 151.5, with easter not sure what tomorrow will bring, but will be getting an hour right after church.
04/22 151.5, really happy with the way this round went! On to the next round

Last week worked AWESOME! Make the time Sunday to MEAL PLAN and SHOP! Enter it all into MFP so it’s permanent and I will get this DONE! Vacation here I come! New ME here I come!
4/13…194.8... -.2
Scale went down another .2 Decided NOT to go to the fish fry and came home and worked out instead. Yay Me! Made ST Fish Sticks and roasted veggies for dinner and while cooking 2 oz of blueberry vodka then glass o wine while I stuck my feet in the amazing massager DH bought me for my bday last year. I am so blessed and feeling it. Have lunch out with friends today so already entered what I am going to have (carnitas tostada and only one at 288 cals - NO BEER) and sticking to it. Happy Saturday EVERYONE. Stay ON PLAN!
4/14… 195...+.2
Not too bad considering our hosts last night added mashed potatoes and wine to the menu. I had a feeling so put in an extra workout and logged in the wine before I left. The taters were a complete surprise, but I barely had a 1/4 cup so YAY Me!
4/15… 195.8... +.8
Boo.. overindulged. Kept the food in check but had some beer and wine. Hoping most of the lb is the saltiness of dinner. Will see after today. Meal planned well and shopped yesterday so ready for the week.
4/16…197.2... +1.4
Double boo and bummed. Didn't get too crazy over cals, but sodium was ridiculous and had to taste everything hubby is prepping for a big luncheon he is putting on. Bad choices.
4/17…195.8... -1.4
That's better. DH brought home lots of leftovers from the lunch so the boys in the house ate big and weren't hungry for any sort of dinner. Had the place to myself and stuck to plan for lunch so wasn't too hungry myself. I refuse to register a gain in 10 flipping days! Bound and determined. Have 5 more days to ditch that other lb. I can do this. Even with Easter because with MFP, ST and CMT I have all the tools I need. +Will Power? Can't be beat!
4/18…195.4... -.4
So yesterday reweighed after some tummy trouble and it went down to 195. Had a difficult couple of days with my lovely intestinal track... so seeing the extra .4 today when I was really good yesterday is a bit of a bummer. Was a higher sodium day with some turkey albondigas soup so planning on that coming down tomorrow. Doesn't look like I am going to see that 2 lb loss this round without a miracle . Saved my breakfast for work cuz we had a breakfast and Easter Egg hunt. I work at a fabulous place so lots of fun. No cookies, cakes or sweet stuff. Was reminded how much I love oatmeal with strawberries and blackberries! It's a good day! Happy Holy Thursday and the start of the Triduum! Easter here we come!
4/19…192.4... -3
WOW! I really WAS holding onto that salt! And I read someone else posting how they have a few days of slight gains or no loss at all then BAM a nice drop. So so so happy. Today is Good Friday and a fast day so lots of little munching until dinner so it all equals one meal. Should be able to keep it!
4/20…194.8... +2.4
Not real, but ok. Worked out today, took pups for walk, cleaned the house, then went to Easter Vigil. On my feet all day.
4/21… 192.6... -2.2
I'm going to assume that since I have been in the 192s twice this week that that is my true weight. Will be careful today, but made skinnytaste carrot cake that I am REALLY looking forward to. No rolls, just the ham, and only 1/2 cup each of mac and potato salad. Make good choices my friends! Enjoy, but don't over indugle, right? I got this. HAPPY EASTER!
4/22… 195... +2.2
Apparently ham has A LOT of sodium. I did well yesterday so not worried in the least. Would have like to register a loss this round, but the sodium did me in. I feel great and clothes are fitting nicely so I know I'm really around 192, but hey.. being honest here. Round 75 will be kickass!

I was really happy with last round and I’m continuing a few goals
Water! I get sloppy when it comes to water
Lower sodium
Keep up with walking, maybe I can hit another 5k steps
04/13 345.2 I was out of control with my sodium yesterday and a little over calories too. Add in that after I posted yesterday I pulled a few muscles in my leg and the water weight was inevitable. I’m resting today and I’m sure I’ll see it all drop off again in a few days.
04/14 344.2 First of what I’m sure will be several drops. I have a lowish sodium week planned. If I stay on course I should be to close to 340 by end of round.
04/15 343.4 And now a little below my round start weight. Hopefully I’ll see a little more loss over the next few days.
04/16 343
04/17 342.4 I’m a little surprised because of spasticity in my leg causing me some trouble. I was far less mobile yesterday because of it and I thought for sure I’d see some water retention. My odd nsv yesterday was my husband noticing that it’s already easier for him to help me up.
04/18. 341.6 And now I’m past forty pounds lost.
04/19 340.2 Well that’s a nice unexpected loss. I know that I have a slightly heavier sodium day planned today so I’m betting I’ll have a bounce up tomorrow. I’m so close to my goal for this month and can’t wait to watch the 330’s go by(e)
04/20. 339.8 And there’s the goal for the month and I should lose a bit more if I continue on track. I’m setting my first big goal of being in the 290’s by my anniversary at the end of October. That’s 27 weeks to lose 40 more pounds, at the rate I’ve been going I think I can do it.
04/21. 339.8 I’ll take that. I had some popcorn late and I’m not sure that I wasn’t over sodium. My nsv yesterday was standing long enough to make gravy, in the past I’ve had to sit every so often.
04/22. 339.2 An end of round loss is always nice. I over ate yesterday so I’m a bit surprised that I didn’t have a gain. Some of my previous days were fairly under so I think it all just evened out. My nsv yesterday was putting on some shorts that had previously been a little tight and having them fit comfortably.

Day/Weight/Comment
04/12 …..191.8….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
04/13 …..191.8 ….. Busy helping nieces with funeral arrangements for my sister. Doing this all long distance although I am getting some help from my local funeral home. Memorial services at a later date. Things will be hectic for the next few days. I don’t expect a lot of progress in my exercise or diet. Just trying to hang in there. But I wish everyone lots of luck this round!
04/14 ….. 192.0….. I am going to try to stick to plan today regardless of stress & busy schedule. It is, as always, a heavy work day for me on Sunday. I’m going to take it & run with it!
04/15 …..191.8 ….. I Tried hard yesterday in spite of it all. I had several days of grab & go immediately following my sister’s death. I also ate my emotions. Lots of mistakes like being too busy to eat dinner then bingeing later at night. I was back on track yesterday as my appetite was suddenly gone so it wasn’t difficult. Yesterday’s stats: 1036 Calories In / 2375 Calories Out. 9 Net Carbs. 11,202 Total Steps & 4.04 Total Miles. IF: 20:4 due to lack of hunger most of the day & evening. Charged fitbit so I am not sure about sleep time. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I took a 28 minute moderately paced walk. More arrangements today in Tennessee from Michigan. We are finalizing much of it today, I hope. I am electronically submitting pics etc for obituary etc. I have multiple cabins to clean here at home/work. Busy day today for me but staying busy helps during such grief. I hope to stay on plan though as best I can again with my eating & exercise. I just need a minute and I will work hard on making it as healthy a minute as possible. Thanks again to everyone for the hugs & luv.
04/16 ….. 191.8….. I am still all over the place here. I ate grilled cheese & tomato soup & crackers for the first time in over a year. A big no-no in my plan. Yesterdays stats: 2070 Calories In / 2705 Calories out. 158 Net Carbs. 16,046 Total Steps & 6.84 Total Miles. IF 18:6 . 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 50 minutes waking up still exhausted this morning but unable to sleep anymore. The plus is that I managed a 75 minute moderately paced walk so that I would not totally abandon all my goals. However, I ate the grilled cheese meal after the walk, so that was disappointing. I still need a minute here. I am still really struggling with the death. If I can just hold on without a gain I will be happy. However, tomorrow is travel (including restaurant) and Thursday is a business launch party complete with food, so that coupled with my emotions is making me nervous. I am going to work hard today and take each day as they come. My emotions will settle in at some point and I will get strong. I just have to try to mitigate the damage right now, every day, as I hobble & limp along because it does feel like I’m on a hilly, curvy, muddy treacherous road dragging my heart behind with a chain. I ‘ve been on this road before. Time does NOT heal all wounds, but it does get better. Walking toward the light here folks.
04/17 …..191.8 ….. I had a very good day yesterday for eating on plan & for some planned exercise (walking). Very low on water, however and I am sure I’m dehydrated somewhat. Finalization of plans for my sister were made including my final payment by phone. I am proud that I did not eat those emotions. Travel today & social event tomorrow will test me. I am weak & vulnerable right now, but I am also committed so we’ll see how this goes. Yesterday’s stats: 1028 Calories In/2238 Calories Out. 28 Net carbs due mainly to the veggies in my lunch. 12,104 Total Steps & 5.12 Total Miles. IF 16:8 . 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept an amazing 7 hours & 4 minutes but still woke up tired. I laid in bed another hour but couldn’t sleep, so I am getting a late start on my trip. Feeling a bit better now after my black coffee. I walked 1 hour & 51 minutes at a semi brisk pace. I just have not felt like dancing. It feels to festive at such a sorrowful time. I will get back there asap. Sadly but thankfully, life on earth goes on & I will too. I continue to appreciate the notes & hugs. Thanks folks!
04/18 …..192.6 ….. Logged (way too many calories & carbs) as best I could. Only meal out when out of town which included breaded chicken & mashed potatoes & a small dessert which all came with the meal. Carby but portions were in control which is an NSV for me. The pre-packaged snacks I brought along helped keep me in check for most of the very long day. I walked 12,281 total steps. 5.42 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours 31 minutes last night & woke up refreshed. Today is the launch party for my middle daughter on her Mary Kay business so I will try to keep things in check. I must remember water to flush my likely sodium retention after yesterday. The scale went up which is likely some sodium, but I am proud that I handled it in a much controlled manner yesterday. If I even sniff carbs over 50g my weight goes up so this is not unexpected. This too shall pass. Onward!
04/19 ….192.6. ….. Family emergency with my daughter last night. Her and my 1 yr old grandson ended up spending the night at my house last night after I returned home from the launch party. I am babysitting today. It’s keeping me on my toes for sure! Yesterday’s stats: 2289 Calories In / 2525 Calories Out. 168 Net Carbs. 11,652 Total Steps & 6.52 Total Miles. IF 12:12. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 11 minutes and while often it is enough sleep, I am beginning to really realize that it leaves me with a larger than average awake & eating window which can make it rough. I wish I could sleep more but my business just won’t allow it & I’ve become accustomed. I fit in a 27 minute dance even though I was away from home for quite some time yesterday. Sample song “Slow Ride” by Foghat. Have a great weekend everyone.
04/20 ….. 192.4….. Daughter stayed a second night last night. I ate a few things off plan but the DGS at age 1 kept me running again so that helped! 1714 Calories In / 2608 Calories Out. 111 Net Carbs : / 13,187 Total Steps & 5.58 Total Miles. IF 16:8 . 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 27 minutes. I danced a 25 minute set. Sample song “Best Friend’s Girl” by The Cars.
04/21 …..196.3 ….. What????? 4 pounds up overnight? Calories In 1836 which is maintenance. Ate ½ pc lasagna for lunch out. Ate the other half later for dinner. Gave away the garlic bread. 2 cupcakes while baking, but overall it was not a lot of food yesterday. Carbs are killers when I eat them, and now today is Easter Dinner. This round is not going to end well for a number of reasons. Buckle down tomorrow & report a better weight by day #1 of round 75 is the goal. Happy Easter everyone!
04/22 …..196.8 ….. I have my work cut out for me but I am excited & ready to get back to the good work of health & self-improvement. Today is a busy work day. I should get in lots of steps & walking. Tonight I will prep cook one of my recipes for the freezer leaving me that much more prepared for battle! I hope everyone had a good Easter. I am still very heavily laden with thoughts of my Dear Sister but I walk forward with a spring in my step knowing that she is finally at peace, healthy & safe. See you all next round!

ME:
56 YO Woman
SW: 205.6
Goal this round: 202.0 (changed due to weigh in on 4/19)
04/15: 205.6
04/16 AWOL
04/17: 205, down .6
04/18 AWOL. I will start weighing in daily now. I am doing well on tracking so far, but I am HUNGRY! Even to the point of being nauseated. I eat all my calories to lose 1.5 lbs per week, and I eat my exercise calories. I try to make filling choices and snack in a health way.
04/19: 202.2 WHAT! did not expect that. It is my first week, and probably "water weight". But I'll take it. I am setting a new goal, to be down .2 by 4/22 weigh in (Easter weekend, could be tough).
04/20: 202.6, up after last night. I really blew my calories yesterday (really great wine). Back on track to remove .6 - and maybe a walk and yoga today.
04/21: 203.1, well, I guess the 202 was a fluke? Not sure, but at least I am still down from my start weight.
04/22: 203.8 total down 1.8, which is down more than my plan of 1.5 per week. I will take it.7 -
@rozcolemanart Don’t be discouraged/disappointed! Look at the tremendous loss you had this round and rejoice! (EDIT: I see @allmannerofthings said the same. Great minds think alike?)
@edising - daily fluctuations are normal, don’t allow them to throw you off course!
Any round with a loss is a good round!!!!5 -

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

4/14 128.5 Two adult beverages-no carbs- last night. GKI is going down-YAY!
4/15 129.0 Going to water fitness for the first time this season! WF was great. Only 12 of us in the pool. It was a bit chilly when the wind came up just before we finished.
4/16 128.5 Went to the gym with Amy.
4/17 128.0 Art Quilts this morning, Bingo tonight.
4/18 128.0 How did I miss adding yesterday?
4/19 128.0 Busy day and super late check in. Excellent day!

4/21 127.0 Happy Hoppy Easter
4/22 126.5 WHOO HOO! What a way to end a round! This is what happens when you track your macros accurately! I let Senza set them for my revised target weight of 126 last week (I had revised my target weight several months ago) and stopped having any untracked nibbles.5 -
@rozcolemanart I’ve had a lot of trouble seeing the overall weight loss that I’ve had. I know from experience how much the day to day scale number can affect my mood and motivation. I’m only just starting to see the big picture. Try to keep in mind that a number of factors can bounce your weight up or down from day to day. For me tom and about ovulation time causes me to bounce around.
My advice is to take out your weight tracking app (get one if you don’t have one) and look at what you weighed at the start of this round, then look at what you weigh today and you’ll see what tremendous progress you have made. Next make a plan that addresses what you think was wrong with the other day.
Last but not least know that you have this.
Now I’m going to save this aside for when I need the reminder myself. 😸8 -
@quiltingjaine Why thank-you that must be it. They also say fools seldom differ but I know you are no fool.2

4/13 - 201.0 - Starting off the weekend good! Although, I wasn't the best last night and let stress get to me so may have had some rum, coke, and chocolate, so I wouldn't be surprised if that shows up in tomorrow's weigh in.
4/14 - 202.0 - Not going to complain! Now to be good and not succumb to the kids' snacks!
4/15 - 201.7 - Kept it semi in-control over the weekend! *dance*
4/16 - 200.8 - Nice trend so far Trying to stay on track as much as I can this week.. Saturday we will be going to the Renaissance Faire and I never end up eating as nice as I should; I just love scotch eggs and that's the only place I can find them!
4/17 - 199.0 - Trying to not get too excited, ate a couple things yesterday that I shouldn't have (darn coworkers bringing in cupcakes!) but think I stayed close to my calories, so we'll see if there's a bump tomorrow or Friday
4/18 - 199.0 - I'll take it! I've been eating way too much chocolate lately; still staying under my calories, but it still may affect my weight, we'll see
4/19 - 199.2 - Not surprising as I haven't been eating at a deficit lately. Hopefully tomorrow I don't end up going over too much at the Ren Faire, but we will also be walking a lot so maybe that will help
4/20 - 199.6 - RENAISSANCE FAIRE!! *dance* Not as bad as I thought after pizza and other junk I ate last night, so maybe the walking today will help and I will try to behave myself some today, but no guarantees!
4/21 - 200.6 - Definitely was bad yesterday… lots of water today and try not to let this derail me
4/22 - 199.9 - Great end to the round!

Back again. This round is going to be a tough one for me and I would love to just maintain and stay in the 140's. We will be leaving on Sunday morning for Phoenix and won't be home till Thursday. There are 2 weekends in this round and one of them is Easter( which I am of course hosting) and we will have a funeral to attend out of town also. So I would say roughly 7 out of the next 10 days we will be eating mostly restaurant or fast food, sleeping in hotels, and having very little consistency at all. I will only be at work 2 days out of the next 10, which is never good. I stay on track with my eating and water so much better when I am at work, but this is life and I have to be able to manage it I guess, so all I can do is hope for the best.
Ended Rn 73: 148.8 10 day average 149.51
04/13 - 149.4 up a bit as I expected from the alcohol and snacking the night before and I did not make great food choices yesterday either. I wanted comfort food most of the day. I am spending all of today getting ready to leave for Phoenix with the hubby tomorrow and get the 2 youngest kids set up at my moms for the week. So lots of errands, grocery shopping, cleaning, and packing today. I am definitely taking my scale this time though. Last time I left I gained 12 pounds when I got back home, lol. So I think I need the accountability of still having to weigh everyday.
04/14 - 150.3 up a bit more today. Not enough water and bad food choices. Super busy day all day yesterday. Leaving for Phoenix in a couple hours and I am so ready for a break. It’s been a rough week.
04/15- dnw - after all my planning I forgot my darn scale at home. We have a pool at the place we are staying at so went swimming and laid out by the pool. Hopefully I can stay on track for the next couple of days.
04/16 - dnw
04/17 - dnw
04/18 - dnw
04/19 - 151.9 just got back last night and didn't destroy myself completely while I was gone. I refused to put any snacks or sweets in the house that we were staying in, so I couldn't snack all day long. I am up about 3 pounds, but most of that is probably alcohol and carbs. Lots of drinking went on the last couple of days with old friends. Also we drove back yesterday and that was a 7 hour ride in the car where I couldn't drink my normal 100 ounces of water or we would have never gotten home, lol. So I am back on track today with water, but we have no food in the house since we have been gone for the last 5 days. Need to go food shopping tomorrow and get ready for Easter. Had to go into work for a couple of hours today which really helps with my water consumption. Probably will finish high, but that's ok. I am super proud of my vacation gain, seeing as 2 months ago when we went to Vegas I came back and gained 12 pounds. I am hoping to be below 145 before Memorial Day (our family vaca with all of the kids).
04/20 - 151.0 going back down so that’s good. We are just getting ready for Easter today and so far have stayed on track. We got the call yesterday morning that my husbands grandma passed away and her memorial service will be held next Saturday. I guess they are cremating her today, which is just hard to think about. We have some stuff around the house that we have been putting off, so I think we are just trying to stay busy at this point. Tomorrow will be hard not to splurge, but I’m going to do my best. I bought a fruit tray to snack on and made mini cupcakes instead of the big ones. Little wins is what I’m working towards right now. I probably won’t end this round at the 148 something, I was before vacation, but I’m happy with my progress right now.
04/21 - 149.4 I’m so happy that only after 2 days I am back down. Now to just get through easter. We are doing bbq chicken instead of hamburgers and hotdogs, so maybe that will make the scale go my way. Happy Easter every one! Back to work tomorrow and to start working on that 145 goal!
04/22 - 151.9 backup a little. This is the lowest I have been on a Monday since I started this in July of last year. This is also after a 5 day vacation and a holiday weekend, so win, win, win! I am very pleased with my progress this round. I was really scared I would shoot back up to the mid 150's, but I stayed pretty consistent. I did splurge a little on my vacation and yesterday for Easter, but it was a splurge meal or treat and not a whole day or week splurge thing. I am excited to start round 75, I am hoping to get well planted in the 140's and maybe see a new low!

04/13--208.9 Hardly drank any water yesterday. Went to the 2nd dance lesson yesterday and we did the swing dance. Hubby was definitely more relaxed this week and actually said that he enjoyed himself...he liked the swing more than rumba from last week. I am starting to drop the hint that maybe we could take some swing lessons after this 4 week session is over...we'll see how that goes. Going for a run this morning and then running some errands the rest of the day.
04/14--209.2 I was so thirsty when I woke up this morning...I knew I didn't drink enough water yesterday. Ran for 3.5 miles yesterday and went to the gym this morning. I slept for 9 hours last night and could have slept for more if it wasn't for the dog plodding around this morning. Going to rewatch the last episode of GoT, hubby and I rewatched every episode over the past 3 months, and then get ready to watch the new episode tonight.
04/15--209.2 Really worked on getting my water in yesterday so that was a success. Run today and streching/foam rolling.
04/16--209.8 Ran 2.5 miles yesterday but did not do much stretching/foam rolling. Went to the chiropractor yesterday and he was also talking to me about stretching. There is one stretch that he wants me to do at least once for every hour I am at work...I've already missed the first 3 hours of my work day. Today is trainer.
04/17--209.2 Sore this morning from working with trainer last night. Did some snacking last night after dinner and looking back I realized that my dinner wasn't filling enough and especially on the evenings I work out with my trainer I feel even hungrier. Supposed to go out for a run before yoga tonight, but not sure if that will happen. I'm going to work on getting to bed a little earlier...even though I get about 7-7 1/2 hours of sleep I know I could definitely use some more sleep.
04/18--208.7 Had a great 2 mile run yesterday and then went to yoga. I was so tight during yoga, but I feel great this morning. Had 8 hours of sleep last night. Tonight is trainer night.
04/19--208.5 Working out with the trainer yesterday was really hard, not just physically but also mentally. My inflexibility is affecting some of my lifts and while the trainer has made some adjustments and is working with me on my flexibility I was getting frustrated with how inflexible I am and how I don't know if I can ever be more flexible. However, after I got home from my workout I started working on a plan. One of the things that I am going to do is put an alarm on my phone to go off every hour during my work day to remind me to stretch. I'm also going to use my stand up desk more often. Hopefully that will make a difference. Dance lessons tonight.
04/20--209.4 Ya, that second snack I had right before bed wasn't the best idea and at the time I knew I was just eating it because I was tired and bored and then this morning I woke up feeling a little gross. I'm at work this morning, but I'm wearing my running gear because I am still going to go out and doing my planned run today. Dance lesson yesterday was the Salsa...my husband said out of the all dances that was his favorite. So far this round has been a success, I have weighed in everyday lower than my average weight from last round...hopefully I don't jinx myself for the rest of this round.
04/21--209.8 I ran 4 miles yesterday, went for a run at the waterfront nearby my work office, it was nice to run somewhere different from my usual running routes by my house. However, I hardly drank any water yesterday so water is the goal for today. Went to the gym and did my weightlifting for today so now just relaxing for the rest of the day.
04/22--210.0 Went to bed later than I should have and still did not get enough water in yesterday, it's definitely more difficult for me on the weekends. Hopefully rain will hold off for my run after work.

04/13 - 140.7 I believe this is the TOM drop I was waiting for in the last challenge, better late than never. I also cut white carbs yesterday that I had been eating through the previous week. -1.1lbs
04/14 - 140.7 I guess it has to slow down at some point. My diet was on point and I met my exercise goal yesterday as well. I also drank a ton of water yesterday (12cups). Not sure why the stall. Will see what tomorrow brings.
04/15 - 140 I did weigh in 3 hours later than normal so might be a little off but progress nonetheless.
04/16 - 140.7 I thought it might be up a little because of yesterday’s late weigh in possibly skewing numbers but I didn’t think I’d be back up where I was the day before. I have been doing a lot of strength training, maybe I’m retaining water. Either way I’m still on track. NSVs are abundant. I look much better in clothes than I did when I weighed less. I am also seeing noticeable changes in my strength and muscle mass. Hopefully I’ll see a drop on the scale tomorrow but either way I’m doing good! 💪🏻
04/17 - 140.2 I was expecting a little more but it’s a loss so I can’t complain. Looking forward to getting back into the 130s!
04/18 - 140.2 Just happy I didn’t gain with the taquitos I ate last night. 🤭
04/19 - 140.7 ugh. I have too many taquitos left over. Finishing them today and then back on track. I really don’t want to end this challenge in the 140s. 🤦🏻♀️
04/20 - 140.1 I was really hoping to finally see 139 but at least it’s a drop from the last several days even if it is a small one. The taquitos are gone as of yesterday so now I’m going to be very strict. Only nutritious food from here on out. I didn’t think taquitos could stagnate my weight loss so badly. Now I see, being so close to goal, I need to be nearly perfect to keep the weight coming off.
04/21 - 139.9 I was expecting a bigger drop because I did everything pretty much on point. I ate a little later than usual but it wasn’t too bad. Went out with some friends and didn’t give in to any temptation. I’m super excited to see the 130s again!!! Hope I can hold on to it. 120s here I come! 😆
04/22 - 140.9 ugh... so frustrated because I’ve been eating so clean. I am sore though from my workouts so maybe retaining water. Hopefully the drop will come in the next round.

Yesterday: 🚶♀️🏃♀️🥊🧘🍫🍷
This round is going to be tough. Two weekends including Easter, when I'll be going back to London to pack up our house for the move while catching up with friends and a desperately needed date night with DH.
I'm reinstating some moderate goals, but left some out that I know I won't be managing this round.

Sat 04/13 71.5kg - 🚶♀️13k🍷 2300+cals in, 650 fitbit adjust, 8-900over
Picking up new car, yay! Steps will probably be quite low today, 2hr train ride to car, meet SIL and a couple of friends for lunch, then 2.5hr drive back home, dinner out...
Sun 04/14 - 71.5kg 🚶♀️8k🍷 didn't log cals, 315 fitbit adjust
I have a car! This is so exciting. It will negatively impact on my steps, but it also means I save 30mins each way to work, so I can start my morning runs again. And overall a new way of living 😊🚗
Yesterday wasn't too bad foodwise, a few road trip snacks (easter eggs) and ice cream after dinner. I estimated very generously, so cals might well have been lower.
Today, went for brunch, but very civilised, then Ikea before I dropped off my SIL at the airport. I didn't eat much, but had a few more Easter eggs - to finish them before the new week.
Mon 04/15 71.0kg 🚶♀️10k 🏃♀️2k 🧘🍷 1422 cals in, 447 fitbit adjust, 315 deficit
What a nice surprise this morning! Day was good food-wise, went for a brief lunch time walk and a 2k run - I really need to do some work to get back into running...
Tue 04/16 71.3kg no goals achieved, oops
Dinner with work, it was tapas style dinner but loads of different cuisines. I just estimated 1000cals for it.
I only did 3000 steps, this is my new reality, driving to and from work, plus no time for a lunch walk... Definitley don't want that to be the norm.
Wed 04/17 71.4kg 1713 cals in, 306 fitbit adjust, 178 over, 7k steps today🍷
Weight is going the wrong direction, but not really surprising. I favoured sleep over run or yoga again in the morning. I'm finding it really difficult to find an end to my day in the evening as they seem so short.
Food was acceptable, too much sugar, but not terrible. Ikea trip after work upped my steps, but still not made the 10k.
Thu 04/18 71.4kg cals over (wine and snacks), 7k steps
It's ok if I maintain this round. It's been a hectic week and the weekend will be no better. At work I needed chocolate and tonight I needed some wine! But at least I should get my steps in over Easter.
Fri 04/19 71.1kg not logged, 🚶♀️16k
trip to London, night out
Food on my trip was acceptable, got plenty of steps in due to travel, walking around the house and then walked to meet my friend who I haven't seen since August. We had prosecco and chocolate and the best catch up. I also found my old non-digital scale, so can use that for the next couple of days.
Sat 04/20 71+kg on non-digital scale🚶♀️10k
Did some packing during the day and then went to a BBQ in the eve. Went to bed early and slept a whopping 8.5hrs!
Sun 04/21 72kg on non digital scale, cals not logged and definitely over. 🚶♀️18k🍷
More packing today, instead of date night went for brunch and a walk, which meant I reached 10k steps before midday. No run, there was too much to do. Tomorrow morning, the movers are coming to pick up our stuff. We're hoping that our new bed arrives before the moving van comes (So silly, the UK has different sizes to Europe and we have a relatively new mattress we're taking with us)
Mon 04/22 DNW 🚶♀️18🏃♀️1.5k
Went for a brief run this morning to calm my nerves. I need to start C25K again, I'm not able to just pick it up again without a plan.
Today all our stuff got picked up, it was emotional, but smoother than I expected.
Traveled back to Amsterdam in the eve, without a suitcase as I had the grand idea to put it in the truck
This round went better than expected in some ways, I don't know my final weight or if yesterday was acurate. But even if it was it's ok, my weekly average is down compared to last week and lowest average since Jan!
Goals not great though, 2 of 6 achieved... Onto the next round!
Average weight per weekChanging this to weekly averages as I can take that from my fitbit.
