Good day overall, work was good, prepped a few things for the cat's arrival on Thu, went for a run and feel much better than the last few weeks.

So my motivation from yesterday went out of the window this eve. I worked much longer than planned as I was at home and then felt annoyed and sorry for myself and snacked... Didn't make my steps as I felt very tired and then it started raining in the eve, so there was the excuse I needed 🤔
Anyway, new day tomorrow and i'm super excited about my cats finally coming!

The cats are here 😻😻😻
Stressful day at work with loads of meetings and little time to eat. I didn't go for a run because I was expecting the cats earlier. Instead, I started building one of the Ikea cupboards while waiting, they were about 2 hours late. Food was ok, but late dinner and a couple of snacks afterwards while watching the cats explore.
Fri 04/26 71.2kg 🚶♀️16k!🏃♀️C25K W1D2📖🥗in:2218 out:2755
What a day, I'm exhausted! I worked from home to be here when the movers arrive, they didn't show until 7.30pm!
Did have a productive day, despite stopping frequently for some cat cuddles. Went for a run after work and finished building that kitchen cupboard and unpacked a few things. More of that tomorrow.
Food was a mixed bag, within cals including wine, but also spent too much on snacks.
Sat 04/27 70.9kg 🚶♀️15k📖🥗in: out:
Yay, this is great. I'm knackered, sore from moving, running, unpacking and building furniture. Went for a walk and then ordered Thai, but only ate less than half. Did have wine and snacks in the eve, but within cals. Also still waiting for TOM, looks like quite a few of us are due the same time. Let's see if I drop further after that's done.

I'm fairly philosophical about my choices last weekend. I knew the consequences, so won't beat myself up about them, especially as the weight went as quickly as it came!

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

@quiltingjaine: I understand what you’re saying. I was just making a comment on how it sucks that I gained 1.4 pounds. I’ve gained a couple of weeks before. Just expressing myself...
Also, people can say the same thing about a daily weigh in as well. We do what we do because it’s what works for us.2 -

04/23 151.3, exercised and ate well yesterday. Going to a baseball game tonight and will limit myself to one beer.
04/24 150.8, surprised on weight loss because I had two beers and a polish sausage. I wasn’t over terribly on calories but expect an uptick over the next few days. Worth it though!
04/25 150.7, first of two cocktail parties is tonight. Did a double yesterday to help with calorie intake. I did wake up thirsty so 64 oz of water wasn’t enough to combat the salt the previous day. Will make sure I’m hydrated going into tomorrow and the week end.
04/26 150.4, danced a lot last night, but did have more drinks and saltier food than I usually have. Back to the diet today.
04/27 150.4, second cocktail party tonight so hoping to stay under 151 through Monday, but early next week I should be good with no temptations

This is my 6th round! I have had lots of success during this process. I am going to be on my diet break during this entire round eating at maintenance to reset. I reached my 192.0 pound goal on my official weigh in day Friday April 19th. I'm also curious to see how the process works at maintenance for the future. We'll see how it goes! Good luck to all!

Day/Weight/Comment
04/23: 195.4 (A slight decrease back to baseline! I ate around 1600 calories yesterday AND worked out, so I'm still at a deficit since my maintenance calories are set at 1960. It's pretty difficult to eat more during the week. I guess this means I'll have extra treats over the weekend. I did a 10 minute elliptical workout followed by 15 minutes of HIIT on the elliptical and finally a core workout. I made Cajun grilled chicken with asparagus and had some rice.)
04/24: 194.2 (I'm having a hard time sticking to my calories! Yesterday I ate 1375 calories and did a 50 minute elliptical workout. I was supposed to have 2613 calories with my maintenance and exercise calories . At least I'm going down toward my maintenance weight of 192.0 pounds. I made spaghetti and meatballs last night and had a decent sized bowl.)
04/25: 193.4 (My boss brought me an unexpected glazed donut and large hot chocolate from Dunkin Donuts yesterday. Oh goodness! Definitely not planned, but I drank half the hot chocolate and donut since the sugar content was too much for my liking. I did a 25 minute elliptical workout mixed with some HIIT. I made some grilled chicken pitas yesterday for dinner. So this loss is pretty nice considering the sugar high I had.)
04/26: 193.4 (I gained 1.4 pounds since last Friday. I calculated my calories from last Friday until last night and I had a deficit of almost 4500 calories over the week and still gained. I've been eating lots of high sodium things these past few days and I'm sure that is the reason for the gain. I've also increased exercise by 5 minutes this week per day but I don't think it would've made that much of a difference. Last night I had 2 slices of pizza for dinner and it was my day off from exercise too.)
04/27: 195.0 (30 minutes of weight training. Not feeling too great to post anything else other than that.)

Back for another round! Last round I ended with a slight gain, but I had a 5 day vacation, Easter weekend, and a family death that all happened in that round. Lots of eating out, stress, and family to deal with. So I was pretty happy that I was only up a couple of pounds and that I was able to pretty much maintain through all of that. I usually don't set goals for myself during these rounds, I just try and do my best and see what I can accomplish, but I will be setting 2 this round. I want to see a 146 something and I do not want to see a 150 anything on the scale the entire time. Good luck everyone!
EW Rnd 73: 148.8 (10 day Avg 149.51)
EW Rnd 74: 151.9 up a couple pounds because of vacation and Easter (no 10 day avg/didn't weigh 5 days)
04/23 - 149.4 nice drop of water weight to start the round. Water and food were both good all day and I am already on track for today. Would love to see a new low this week, so working hard and trying to stay in a deficit most of the week. At least Mon-Fri.
04/24 - 148.1 Back to where I was before I left on vacation and my Easter weekend took over. This was my lowest weight hit in round 73, so hoping to beat that in the next couple of days. I am also really close to hitting my next milestone on my happy scale app. Water and food are set for today and on track so far!
04/25 - 148.1 same as yesterday so I will take it. I had a beer and 3 shots last night with dinner, but ate light all day. I don't have a problem stress eating as much as I do with stress drinking. This month has just been so stressful all the way around. Yesterday my Senior and Junior in high school found out 1 of their friends (17 years old) committed suicide. That was after we found out my middle schooler (my autistic child) got into a fight at school. He had been doing so well and making really great progress, it just really hit me as a step back. So while cooking and eating dinner my husband and I had a couple of drinks. I had been doing so good, but knowing we have to go to this funeral on Saturday for my husbands grandma and now all of this I needed a drink, lol! Back on the wagon today. Meals are prepped, water is next to me, and I will not have any alcohol tonight.
04/26 - 147.6 I hit another milestone on my happy scale app today! Finally moving in the right direction after stalling for so many weeks. The weekend is here though and that is my downfall, so hoping I can stay on track.
04/27 - 147.7 same as yesterday. We had my DH grandmas funeral today, so it was not a great day. Just got home and I am headed to bed. Only ate 1 real meal, and pretty much drank my lunch. I’m slamming a couple bottles of water before I go to sleep to wash some of the alcohol out of my system. We have to drive about hour and a half out of town tomorrow so that we can spread her ashes. So hopefully I can stay on track better. I don’t think I had many calories, but what I did have was not good calories. We will see I guess.

Day/Weight/Comment
04/23 380.0 had some very salty foods yesterday. back on track today. Continuing to work on consistency. I saw some are working on de-cluttering. I need to add that to my goals eventually for sure.
04/24 378.6 (- 1.4)
04/25 378.8 (+ 0.2) Down about a pound. Got to get in bed on time tonight and tomorrow shoot for a blue dot day.
04/26 378.8 (0.0) maintain
04/27 376.6 (-2.2) had some very salty hot dogs today. I hope it does not show on scale tomorrow. If it does, I am ok. As long as I know why

04/23- 165.8 Although it’s a slight uptick from the past 2 days, I am happy with this. It’s my TOM, so I’ll be happy to hang around this weight for a few days. I’m watching my sodium.
04/24- 165.8 I’m good with that. I worked out hard at the gym today, so we’ll see what tomorrow brings. I hate it, but I’m eating some pizza tonight.
04/25- 165.8 Considering I ate pizza last night, I’m happy with this number.
04/26- 165 Heck yes! Was very happy to see this number on the scale this morning. I’m a little afraid of what tomorrow morning will bring, because I ate a heavy meal for dinner tonight.
04/27- 165.4 I’ll take that! Surprised that that it was as low as this. Felt bloated all day today.

@curvyycaloriess - You are doing great! Weighing daily you are going to have up and downs for various reasons. I do not even count anything less than 0.5. Please read below reminders from @TerriRichardson112. As you get smaller it will happen more. Keep up the good work!!
* Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
*A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
*Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking
extra water helps with this.
*The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
*Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of
eating/exercising.
*The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes
more efficient at using what you feed it.
*When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight
to assess your progress.
*Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Day/Weight/Comment
04/23 -- late
04/24 -- late
04/25 -- 74.5 kgs I haven't been this heavy since I was pregnant with my daughter, and Im not even sure I was this heavy then. However, I have eaten well so far today, and plan on sticking to this. I CAN DO THIS!!
04/26 – 74.2 Forgot to post today. Did pretty well, ate fairly healthfully and kept to my resolve to have 1 salad a day.
04/27 – 73.9 feeling strong today, but I forgot to bring my breakfast with me to a sporting event for my daughter. I am going to have to see what I can find to eat that wont kill my progress. I am actually liking having a salad everyday. That is not something I thought I would ever say!
04/28 – 73.1kg Did ok yesterday. I ended up eating a nature valley granola bar for breakfast because it was the healthiest thing in the vending machine at the gymnastics gym. It got me through until I got home and could get a healthy lunch in me. I did not end up getting a salad in yesterday, but I did have onions and peppers for lunch and broccolini for dinner, so got some veggies at least. Love the drop today, but considering I had popcorn and wine last night, I am not sure it will stick, but we will see. Planning on getting a workout in this evening.

Ready for my round 12
Was on holiday for the last 2 rounds. In the past this would have meant a gain of 3kg or so. I didn't really try to lose (just did not want to gain) but managed to lose 1.9 kg over the 2 rounds.
OSW 88KG
RSW 73.7 kg (-14.3kg) or {-31.5 lbs}
Goal.... less than I started
04/23 73.6 kg a good start to the round and to going back to work. Started running again yesterday and did some pushups this morning.
04/24 74.5kg for no reason so I'm not worried as I always do this after a loss. Ran and tried some planks with the sunrise.
04/25 74.5kg and pushups done for the day
04/26 74.3kg 2k run and plank challenge day 5 which I will have to repeat tomorrow as it was a struggle!
04/27 73.0kg I think that is a woosh! But it is probably because I hardly ate yesterday and I feel dehydrated this morning. Day 5 of planks again and push up and squat challenges.
04/28 73.0kg hit my 15 kg {33lbs} loss target yesterday. Spent the weekend partying with my skinny bestie who gets all their calories from alcohol and naturally does OMAD. I'm still on my extended dry January so drank a lot of water!

@musicsax I find the simple target of being less every round is all I need. With the daily fluctuations of life (I weigh daily but only record officially on Sunday) it's too demotivating for me if I don't meet some arbitrary target. So far I've managed it every round!7
