Sorry for TMI but I’m just starting to get worried. I’ve never been one for going the toilet everyday I go once a week if I’m lucky for a number 2 but that’s only if I take laxatives. I have just been on holiday for 2 weeks and didn’t have a poo once and my stomach is rock hard and extremely swollen and sore. I’ve tried everything such as drinking more water or increasing fibre but I still never go unless I take laxatives.i also find because that I use laxatives a lot I constantly end up with hemmoroids which is extremely painful. Is this normal and what can I do to go to the toilet more to avoid a sore tummy

No it's not normal. Go and see your doctor.52

You need to go to the doctor immediately. People can't help you over the internet for medical problems.32

If it's been 2 weeks since you've had a bowel movement, go to Emergency if your doctor can't see you immediately.
Is this not something you've discussed with your doctor before?25 -
Definitely not, urgently see a doctor!12

What is normal can vary but I am not sure how there can be any definition of normal that requires laxatives to go after routinely waiting a week. It has already been too long since your last BM. You need to see a doctor.7

@buckykatt1 I was asking for advice not inviting someone over to do surgery or something on me lol. People can help by telling me what could be wrong and giving valuable advice.

Your bowels can become dependent on laxatives..."lazy bowels". You need to see a doctor for immediate help and then to develop a plan to wean off of them.17

The only valuable advice you should be given here is that you need medical attention now.41 -

Your question has been answered. It is not normal. You need to stop posting and work on going to see a doctor right away.18 -
I get the feeling based on the empty profile, and the subject matter, that this is a trolling thread. I could be wrong......13

I too think you need to see a doctor but...
This is by Mayo clinic and having scanned it hopefully it might help...

You've already received the best advice - go see a doctor.7 -
I use about a spoon full of cereal bran in my meals a day to stay regular.7

Sometimes the advice you get cuts the crap and is straight to the point. What you're doing is not normal and can have consequences. So heed the good advice you've gotten and see a doctor. Self medicating has gotten you where you are now. Go.12

It would be irresponsible for any of us to tell you "what could be wrong." Any number of things could be causing your problem. The most "valuable advice" we can give you has already been stated repeatedly: go to the doctor.19 -
You have a plumbing problem, go and see a plumber13

Here's the best advice anyone here can give you:
Go the the doctor. Today.13 -

The only advice to be given by a responsibly acting person has already been given several times:
So once more for (obviously needed) emphasis:
Go see a doctor, IMMEDIATELY!
Else: I assume everyone has to find his own way to die horribly ...

In case it hasn't sunk in yet: Go see a doctor. BM's should occur at least daily if not more depending on how much you eat.21

No, BM's do not need to occur daily or even more often than that to be considered normal. For lots of people, having one every other day *is* entirely normal. But TWO WEEKS? Definitely NOT normal and very concerning.24 -

^^This. Once a day is normal for some people. A few times a week is normal for some people. Two weeks is not normal for anyone.20 -
Another vote for it is not normal and go see your doctor.3

I know I did low carb and got constipated. My 91 year old Mom eats FIBER 1 CERAEL and that did the trick! 14 grams of fiber in 1/2 cup of cereal worked wonders for me!10

Apparently you missed the part where the OP has stated she hasn't had a bowel movement in two weeks. Advising any home remedy, including fiber cereal, is irresponsible. The OP needs to see a doctor, ASAP.25 -

Your suggestion could be fatal to the OP.15 -

Someone who has severe constipation should not increase fiber before consulting with a doctor. Increasing fiber too quickly could be dangerous in the OP's case, since it may make the problem worse. Please don't encourage OP to try home remedies instead of going to the doctor.13 -
I've been there, I survived. BUT I HAD TO SEE A DOCTOR. I got a diagnosis and a treatment plan, neither of which I'm going to share with you because YOU NEED TO DO WHAT I DID AND SEE A DOCTOR!
Thanks. Have a nice day.35 -
I'm surprised OP does not seem to be that worried?3
